Proximity Test: Megadestroyer Take the Synergetic Reactor to Mount Maelstrom and test the energy reactions near the chest after defeating the Megadestroyer.

^Killed MD. Clicked ontop of chest and everywhere near it. Would not collect my collection. I do have auto-loot if that is worth mentioning. Progress blocking, cannot collect.

UPDATE: I switched to the character I had created the Synergetic Reactor on AND I turned off Autoloot: Quick Interact in Options. I’m not sure which caused it to work this time but that fixed it.

I guess I am one of the few that actually likes the time that I need to spend to earn the points. The HP hunting and difficulty was the most fun I had in game in a long time.
And I have many alts and still look forward to fight through for them also. With the masteries unlocked its actually much easier even if you do not have map completion.

Definitely not the only one, but one of the few. I too like the challenge. Yes, that means I like it for every one of my alts. We didn’t hop into this game expecting an 80 off the bat, why should we expect the same for an ELITE spec. It should show that you took the time and challenge to get that spec completed. The name is ELITE for a reason.

These aren’t just new builds to try out. They are completely different play styles added onto your class…practically a new class! There are new icons to represent this for Pete’s sake!

I think if people would slow down and think about it this way they would realize how much it makes sense that you shouldn’t expect instant gratification for something coming out of an expansion designed purely for lvl 80s. It is going to be challenging and it is going to require time.

TY Anet for giving me something to do other than logging on, doing my dailies and dungeon run or two with my guildies then signing off. This brought back tons of goals and challenges for me to aim for and it brought back a huge social experience for me and many of my guildies! The fact that a lot of the maps are aimed for group experiences has been enjoyable. Its so fun to see/meet others that are willing to lend a helping hand.

There is a thread in the bugs subforum with 13 pages of others with recent FPS issues. I too am having a similar issue. I would advise to post your reply there too so that it is in a collective thread.

Comcast is going to need to address this in their head to head contract. best you can do is report it to their support group, and escalate this request to their level2 or level3 support showing the traces going to anet’s servers.

Yes, but your tracert also shows it is not an issue with either Comcast or Anet’s servers. It is happening along one of the network likely of one of the Tier 1 providers that your ISP hooks up to as do most web servers.

I’m having the same issues…it’s been like this for the past month and no response. Very frustrating when I can’t do anything about it. I pretty much never lag. These lag spikes are unreal and last a long time! 380-400 ping… sigh.

Been having a lot of issues with lag lately. At least the past week as far as I can remember. It happens anywhere. Standing still or fighting. LA, Tequatl, Triple Trouble, Fractals etc. The game becomes clunky with 1-10 FPS and 500 ping. Speedtest shows internet is fine during this time. If I turn my camera things get worse and this can last from anywhere from 10 seconds to 90seconds off and on with occasional freezing…then everything speeds up into hyper-speed & whatever happened during that timeframe plays by at the speed of light. Other times I will get skill lag with skills going off 5 seconds later.

I normally don’t experience ongoing latency (or any performance issues) problems like this at all so I’m a bit puzzled as it is hampering my gameplay. The game does not crash even when it does the above until I’ve had enough of it and decide to end the client by disconnecting, then the client will simply freeze until I end the task through taskmanager…and task manager shows the gw2client as stopped responding so I typically don’t see a crash report to be able to send.

Issue:
Ping spiked to 600, FPS to 10… turned graphics to best performance still unplayable with no change. Literal slide show then everything froze for 2 minutes and then went super speed.

Tried mapping out to Orr and ping was “okay” standing at waypoint at 50 then spiked to 200+ without moving after 1-2minutes so I decided to close the game to restart but client is not responding now. Never had graphic issues or connection issues THIS bad before, hardly ever feel latency or graphic issues.

This is pretty bad. As a guild leader and recruiter, I’ve noticed LFG posts have gone way down everywhere due to this bug.

Newer players joining the game, I can only imagine how discouraging it is to want friends to play with only to not be able to talk to them! My guild personally has Teamspeak but often times you either want to just chill and talk through text or it may not be a good moment for TS.

Linking waypoints for Guild Missions is annoying too…it has to be linked in both party and guild to make sure the person isn’t being left out. Not even including the fact that not everyone can talk in TS at once or are in TS so the person with a bugged /g chat are left out on whatever people are typing.

I understand bugs happen but this is huge…and so little response until 10 days ago when this has been a bug for a month now?? Not only hurting guilds and individual players, its hurting your game.

What We Do
We. do. it. all. We are a true PvX guild that runs WvW, Dungeons, Fractals, along with all of the Guild Missions. We also take part in s/tpvp, living story, world bosses, leveling, map completion, achievements, and any other goal progression.

We are a FULLY upgraded guild as well meaning we offer ALL THE BUFFS.
Our guild uses both TS3 and guild chat to communicate. You can comfortably listen to our banter, take part in or communicate with us through guild chat. You won’t be ignored as we use both forms to chat.
Most importantly, we have FUN events on a regular basis!! Guild chat trivia, movie night, drinking games, and more!! Members of “Regular” rank are granted abilities to schedule events too to ensure the guild is having fun the way its members want to!

What about WvW?
We are looking for a main driver! Even though we are looking for a main driver, we still rally 2x a week doing havoc shenanigans (stealth bombs are fun, ok?) but would love to get back into some more serious WvW play following a driver. Our group usually consists of 5-15 max with group comp being flexible with playing the way you want to play granted your build is helpful to the team. We enjoy both PPT and open field fights! We do all of this while maintaining the semi-casual atmosphere meaning one moment we are killing red names the next we are laughing our kitten off because one of us walked off a cliff while looking at the map. TS communication is a must for our WvW, at minimum you should call out critical plays (immob, stealth, water, etc)

Our Home Server
You can find us on Fort Aspenwood. We have been here for over 24 months and love the atmosphere. Currently FA is a tier 2 server for WvW and has a friendly community forum, as well as a community teamspeak. All in all, FA is server that enjoys working together through good communication while playing to have fun the way you want to play.

What If I’m not on FA?
With the announcement of global servers, it does not matter what server you are on! However, if you are interested in WvW at all – we would prefer for you to transfer to our home server within a month to join us in our havoc. Our staff and members are more than willing to help by running world bosses, dungeons, and show you how to farm nodes. We also have benefits to reimburse transfer costs if help is needed.

Hey Matt!

When I first joined this game I was pretty new to MMOs so I totally know the feeling of being new to the game and wanting to master it all. I feel pretty comfortable now but there is always something new to learn.

We have so many people in our guild from different skill and experience levels, so I don’t think you’d feel out of place. Especially since our veterans are more than happy to help guide the way and we don’t want anyone feeling they are subpar.

Speaking of EU, a few months back we had a couple that we helped move to our server from EU. It only took a mere few days until they decided that they -have- to join us, haha. So, I think you’ll be in good company if your active game times are not during the majority of our guilds (UTC -5) as we typically have players on during the day (for us) and our Swede folks (UTC +1).

The Unholy Mackerels [UM] is a PvX community that is social and tight knit with a roster typically hovering around 40-60 members. Recruiting already had become difficult with towns becoming Megaserver’d so LFG on the forums was really the only true reliable way to recruit. Now it simply is a huge mess and a much larger chore to go through.

Individual’s LFGuild posts get buried quickly so they often will be ignored/won’t find a guild. Guild’s personal recruitment threads get buried quickly by other posts, even when bumping daily. It is a fight to who has the most annoying bumper or most people to bump their thread to stay on the front page.

This was poorly thought out. It not only harms the individual player but also guilds who are trying to search out other active players to enjoy this game with. Many guilds primary reason for still playing this game is for their guild/guildies/new found friends, so in turn, this hurts the game too. I truly hope they make sub-forums for this section of the forum…basically, back to the way it was.
