with revenant we have:
Ele Thief and Guard as low HP Classes
Revenant, Mesmer and Engineer as medium HP Classes
Warrior Necro and Ranger as High HP Classes
but doenst matter right now cause Revenant needs a lot of work right now.
He needs Better synergy between legends/weapons and Traits
And i still hope for more choices on ultilities for every legend (i hate selfcripple stuff on malyx, imagine if u have to run all the corruption ultilities on necro)
I suspect swords will come if shiro is indeed the 4th spec, which strong indications show

That’s pretty fair. I know it’s a beta but I thought all the specs were released/revealed already for it.
We have not released all weapons and legends for the Revenant yet. Right now there is definitely a gap in the playstyles offered as we haven’t discussed the more pure DPS focused setup yet. soon tm.
We know you haven’t released all weapons and legends yet, but it’s blatantly obvious what they are because you always stick them in the client ready for people to datamine.
even if not all legends and weapons are released there should be a viable option without them or do u want only 1 viable pvp build?
if it is so, why should we test revenant in pvp without the viable traitline/legend/weaponset?
didnt read every comment but i think u could fix some “high” enegry cost issues if u would handle it like Thief.
Thief:
Weaponskills > no cd but cost initiative
Ultilities > cd’s
and Revenant would be
Weaponskills > cd but no energy costs
Ultilties > no cd but energy costs

but y but right now without that it looks like he will have maybe only 1 viable build for pvp and pve

You combine Jalis with Ventari and the right gear like sentinels + clerics and its kinda tanky then. Taking only Jalis is not tanky alone.
Bit the same as camping ele on earth is not tanky enough you need to use water as well
thats true but in my opinion the Ventari Board is just a nice Gimmick but in sense of PvP total useless, if u switch legend the Board disappear, so ui have to recall it every time if u switch back to Ventari, and with the current pvp “Balance” u dont have the time to do it. (i hope that each legend will get some more ultilities)
And PvE wise no one needs Tanks or Healers right now
no one cares about “rank farm” cause rank is easy to gain and has nothing to say about skill or anything
A thief complaining about blinds and stealth. So much irony it hurts my brain.
Mesmer has now the same amount of stealth and Blind but ontop of it better Range DMG/Burst, more Interrupts and deffens Boons.
Imagine if thief would get something like the PU grandmaster over Shadow Reju.

if I do a Video as Cele Ele and loose to everything then Ele should get Buffed or?

2 Bad Guardians loosing vs Cele Ele (Burn Build on Guard vs a Cele Ele common who is that dumb)

My Suggestion to nerf cele would be
remove ferocity = lower burst combined with int sigil ( shoutbow engie )
remove healingpower = ele engie and shoutbow have good sustain anyway and with this its to superior
If healingpower got removed then sigil of doom needs a nerf, higher cd or lower duration

Narrow metric. Hmm. Simplistic. Hmm. Nope. Can’t agree w/ you. AGAIN… if a class is dying significantly less than others according to a statistical matrix, which is what I am proposing, then that is one of the STONGEST INDICATORS possible that said class is OP. This is PvP. We are TRYING TO KILL EACH OTHER. In a nice politically correct fashion.
Sorry, I have to disagree with you. Killing players is what you perceive the game to be about, whereas the rest of the competitive GW2 tPvP community is playing conquest. And in conquest, you win by getting to the 500 point mark before the opposing team, or by having more points at the end of the 15-minute match than your opponents. Winning under said conditions requires map dominance, but killing players is only one way to achieve that goal, and not even the most efficient one in all cases. The team with less kills can win matches, sometimes even by a considerable point margin.
Expand your horizons and embrace the Mesmer within. And for Jebus’ sake stop obsessing about meaningless statistics. It’ll do you good.
So it’s meaningless if say, Oh, guardians could kill every class indiscriminately, and never be defeated themselves? So You would be Okay with such a situation, where a team of 5 guardians could ONLY be possibly be defeated by a team of 5 other guardians?

OH, and If you don’t think kills matter, try winning a match that has 2 eng’s holding a point w/ a guardian roving around w/ company taking the other points away. Have fun cause it’s REAL hard. I’ve been on both sides of that particular scenario… it’s best to be on the team w/ the forted up engineers.
Since Mesmer is so op it should be easy to beat every team with a 5 man mesmer team or?

1: Ppl which played soloque cause they dont want to play against premades and doesnt have problems with Skyhammer
2: Ppl which played Solo in teamque cause they dont have problems to face premade teams but dislike skyhammer and spiritwatch

Remove Celestial from spvp and u would balance so many classes with this one change

If u fight vs Cele Ele the highest dmg Source is burn
If u fight vs Axe/Sword + Longbow War the highest dmg Source is after Evis in most cases Burn and Tornment and with celestial both classes are pretty tanky and have access to a rly good sustain.
In my opinion just remove Celestial from sPvP
Dodge, move and play the game. Are you kittened or do you only play thief and are blind? Thief s if any class already have a lot of active defenses . You got a kitten load of blinds and jumps and you still moan how to survive. What the hell. UHHH … QQ I actually had to COMMIT to an action like every other class. I usually try my best to stray away from such statements on the forums, but I’m really getting fed up with unjustified thief QQ. A bad thief will not survive at all period. if my CnDs dont connect due to an extremely wide range of possibilities, I am beyond vulnerable. And mistakes are very noticeable on thief. if I mess up in a fight, there’s a very good chance that it’s going to bite me in the kitten unless I can work around my mistake. Same with other classes, although classes such as warrior and guardian and much more forgiving. And a 10s revealed would completely destroy thief. period. There’s nothing we could do for 10 whole seconds to stay alive w/o stealth like other classes can. it is our means of survival, with he exemption of Evade builds, but people complain about those too.. Seriously, is there anything we can do for you guys to not hate us?
This post is not about stealth, this post is about how thieves have semi-immunity to chill. We want to discuss how thieves should be penalize by this condition. There are various ways that the thief could be penalized for example:
- if the thief is chilled make him deal -xx% damage (if initiative regeneration is not slowed down).
- root the thief and freeze him and make his movement slow down to 100%.
- chill should stop utility skill recharge to +90% or even 100% to compensate for the semi immunity.
Nobody will disagree that there is a problem with chill affecting thieves. Now, consider this hypothetical scenario:
- imagine for a moment if warriors were semi-immune to blind. What if warriors could connect a hit 50/50 even when blinded?
I can think of lots of ways to fix the chill problem; one of the easiest solutions I think would be to get rid off the -xx% skill cool down for ALL classes. That way everyone would be affected by just -66% speed.
Maybe they should take 2000000% more dmg under the effect of chill?

I know this forum is so tired of all those thief haters’ post .But since thief highly counters mesmer ( good mesmers can beat thiefs too) , removals of aegis or stability won’t affect thief itself that much ( why u want to change it then) but will help classes variety in tpvp ( not rly).
(Anet could nerf it only in tpvp ,so please don’t start "pu mesmer ")

And an other idea that could be nice, but idk if that would be op :
Fire Grab now : 1000 DMG and 2 k dmg on Burning Foes
Fire Grab change: 1500 Dmg and allways Crit on burning enemies
(random numbers just to explain my idea).
I had this crazy idea the other day when thinking of how to make eles less dependent on arcana. Along with making elemental attunement baseline, as its already been suggested, why don’t we divide the evasive arcana trait into 4 minor traits spread on the other trait lines? It has always seemed a little odd to me how other classes get “on dodge” traits so easily and ele has to spend 30 points for it.
Anet could make it so that for example, an adept trait in the water trait line granted cleansing wave when dodging in water attunement, same on earth, fire and wind for their respective effects. That way we could pick which effects of evasive arcana we wanted and possibly save points to diversify/strengthen our builds… Was this ever suggested before? Is it too crazy/op?

and maybe give a fire an explosion finisher and air change the blind into a 1s daze or something like this.
