idk about you but i feel a huge difference between playing guard and thief in wvw…. ther’s no way they’re both the same or “illusion of choice”.

with my thief, i can basically run away from anything and chase down anything. with my guard i cannot do that.

i play all 9 classes, so i know how different they are to one another. when i play ranger in wvw, i can cc enemy players better than any other classes.

you really have to know all the classes inside out to be able to know how different they are from one another, and each of their strengths and weaknesses.

i wasn’t going to play all 9 but ever since raid was introduced in HoT, i geared all 9 classes because i was afraid i wouldn’t be able to find a group lol, i learned each class so much that i mastered them all.

I have inventory space OCD, I like seeing empty slots in my inventory. When I see tons of things I don’t use daily, I get really frustrated. I destroyed all my tonics because I never use them.

I have this huge urge to destroy mystic forge stones, but I dont’ know if it will become useful or not.

Once I have all the legendary trinkets, I am destroying every single thing in my mule. I cannot stand having items I never gonna use lol.

Why do anything at all in life? When we all become nothing in the end.
Simple answer, to kill time.

If you don’t feel motivated by what the game offer, move on?

I like anet’s system where you don’t need to keep improving your gear to infinity levels in order to do something. wvw’ing is fun because you know nobody has better gear than you, it’s either they’re more skilled than you. And I’m always looking to improve my skill, not my gears.

I support this idea 100%.

Anet’s obsession with trenchcoats is beyond creepy at this point. I mean it’s ok to have 2 or 3 armor with trenchcoat, but almost 90% is trenchcoat… Idk about you, but i do not live in the 1950’s New York, and neither does my hero character.

I must have good luck when it comes to clovers, i usually only need 150 coins to make about 80 clovers.

But bad luck when it comes to legendary precursor drops or chak egg sac. I’ve only gotten 1 precursor for 5 years of playing lol.

I have to do jumping puzzles (which is something i hate most in the game) to get Aurora… that’s like saying wvw players can demand anet to change aurora’s requirements to only killing things in wvw to get aurora. doesn’t make any sense.

I think PoF is for people who enjoyed HoT. If you didn’t enjoy Hot or gw2 in general, i dont see why you would enjoy PoF (though it’s prob too early to say).

But from what I see from the bigger picture, gw2 as a game, its enjoyment (for me) comes from the elite specializations, the raids, the new fractals, the new legendary items as my goals (warbringer, aurora, 2nd gen weapons). if you didn’t enjoy any of that, why would you enjoy pof? which is just an extension of the above ideas?

I highly doubt they will add anything new? or groundbreaking… if you get what i mean. See i enjoy hot, i obviously will enjoy Pof cuz it will give me 9 new specs to look forward to trying and playing.

It has always been a WvW item… not a pve one…

Yeah, I’ve noticed since I started back in 2012. It has a very different feel from previous MMO I played before. The guild community doesn’t seem to be as tight-knitted when it comes to guildies.
People are always doing their own thing at their own time, or if they do something with you, it’s cuz it benefits them in some way (to get an item or achievement), once they achieved their goal, they go back to doing their own thing. It’s super rare to find someone who wants to party with you for the sake of just hanging out and being “guildies”.

Expansion 3: In game marriage.

After all these years of saving Tyria, my hero is ready to settle down.

Yay, the first depression in the GW universe. Looking forward to it.

I’d rather have this than have Anet invent a hundred more bag types…. and not have an “open all” button for those bags.

use toughness,vit and healing gear. survival skills, stone signet, endure pain etc. reflects. bring pets.

I don’t understand questions like these… if anet made us solo jormag or vg, then i would understand the complaint. but 20 easy adds…???

do ppl expect like… easy bosses for everything?
some ppl play a game for challenges, not to be spoonfed, it doesn’t mean they’re not casual. Casual is not excuse for getting everything handed to you :/ and it does not mean that they want easy content either. i thought casual only meant they had less time to play the game.

A lot of us enjoy challenging content. If you prefer to do non-challenging ones, they are literally everywhere, go to Queensdale etc. Do normal 100 fractal.

Like I’ll never get God of PVP title, and I consider this the most prestigious title in the game since only 7 ppl can get it, but I’m not going to leave the game because of that reasoning. Seems illogical.

What’s next?
In game marriage, houses, fishing, open world pvp.

We should get a one-off free gear stat changes for all our ascended armor….because this change will be costly to a lot of us who have all classes and all builds O_O.

This title, “Leaves no heroes behind” is my pride and joy. It means so much to me because of how difficult the fractal is and the effort to obtain it.

It used to be “Demon’s Demise”, but when I found out that anybody could buy it without doing anything in the raid or have any raid experience, the title became meaningless to me.

Nerfing the fractal would mean that anybody could get it, therefore devaluing the achievement title…

I know it’s a selfish request, but I would like to have one title that I could take pride in… not a title that anybody could just buy without even playing the game :/

I believe this leak is real because they have like really cool pictures of each classes’ new specializations. I love the thief with the rifle picture (looks like a sniper).

I’m really excited for the expansion, I mean there are so many things I have to do at the moment (like getting Aurora and the wvw backpiece), but I’m really excited for new content and new specializations. It’s what I love about GW2, classes being able to use so many diff weapons.

I just want new content. But then again, I don’t care about storylines in a game…dont read the dialogues

I love it. It’s so hard, attacks are random. I don’t know if anet read my suggestions, but the new 100cm is everything I hope for.

nnnn I don’t need announcement, just put preorders up already, Anet. So I know that it’s close to releasing.

People want things they can’t have. If ANET gifted you 1million gold, you would probably buy that scythe.
People are objecting because they don’t have the gold.

No matter what they change, people are going to follow whatever the meta says. So in the end there’s no such thing as variety/diversity in builds, only singularity. The only thing they can change is the boss’ mechanics so that people have to change their build a bit, for example in deimos, the chrono has to tank on minstrel gear.

So in conclusion, they don’t need to fix things that aren’t broke. And should start on fixing things that ARE broke, for example… whenever I’m in character select, and double click a toon, my game crashes… what the hell is wrong with GW2? I thought it’s my old PC, but I got a brand new PC and it still does that. WTF is this bug that’s been here for 2+ years….

How come the arm doesn’t have any glowing effect… Hope it isn’t. It looks so plain.

Maps that have replayability values, HoT maps are a good start, but people only return to do the metas. LS maps have zero replay value, and ppl only go there to farm nodes or get achievements, most players dont care about achievements though.

There needs to be something else to motivate players to replay the map. They’ll have to work it out what, cuz i’m not the designer of the game, just giving a suggestion.

Could they please release a relevant legendary weapon like longbow or sword, not warhorn or something irrelevant.
I need a non-flower dropping longbow for my warrior.

Gathering nodes need to be disabled whilst defending a tower.

You’re like defending a tower and wall’s at 20% and some ppl are gathering nodes instead of helping defend…it’s like working in the field while people are sipping martini in front of you…

To make it fit the lore, the one courting has to pay 200g in dowry.

They used to be the most challenging content in the game. But ever since raid was released, it’s no longer hard for me. Because raiding has improved my gameplay drastically… and forced me to go beyond what I thought I was only capable of doing.

If you find it difficult, consider being a healer with clerics gear. I always use my druid when doing cliffside, volcanic etc. It makes things go faster, and nobody dies.

(Some groups on lfg will not want a healer because they think having 5 DPS will make things go faster… but in my opinion, having 1 healer is faster because people can worry less about dodging or ranging to stay alive).

people complain about everything, if we get diversed specs, some will be saying “omg its too diverse, please just have 1 build, too complex, game no longer fun”.
it’s like the TD map, they complain, but when u get simple maps, others complain. cant plz them all.
then there are some of us who just play and have fun without worrying about this nonsense.

i mean if ppl want to try diverse traits, do wvw, it’s a mode that allows u to try anything. just imagine the other players as npcs. there are even gathering nodes in wvw now. wvw might just as well be pve.

All of them exist in the game…they just (might) not look as good. But the same styles exist.
