Pressing one button? you mean dodnge. Sure, dodge into the traps. you’ll cacnel the initial damage. but if you cross the threshold of one of them after it’s activated you’ll take 3k damage, another one continually deals damage., yet another one traps you inside it, and any other trap. So sure, one button negates everything.

You can block a mesmer GS ranged attack.. but you cant reflect it – because its not a projectile. Its certainly not an unblockable attack.
When the thread title talks about Guardian skills that suffer from Reflection, it should be apparent that the only skills that would be talked about were indeed projectiles. To assume anything else is just pedantry at best. Making Guardian projectiles blockable but non-reflectable would be to make them not projectiles.
I suspect that you have not understood what I initially wrote.
1) I suggest we turn all guardian projectiles into the same sort of attacks as GS mesmer – so they CAN NOT BE REFLECTED – but can still be blocked. It wasnt a completely serious suggestion, but whatever.
2) You state that reflectable and blockable are the same, and talk about unblockable.. I never mentioned anything to do with unblockable. mfw
3) I state that they obviously ARE NOT THE SAME as Mesmer Greatsword attacks can be blocked – but you CAN NOT REFLECT THEM BACK. It’s the same with Guardian Staff autos.
4) You then accuse me of pendatry – when I’m just responding to your incorrect information. Pretty rude.

Wouldnt it be more accurate to say that the majority of the weakest players you encounter seem to pick Ranger?
One thing Anet does have a HELL of a lot of is metrics.
So by the end of the season they have a very clear indication of who’s generating the most success and who’s not.

There needs to be AT LEAST two dedicated devs, that ONLY do player proffession balance.
They dont get moved to system balance, NPC skill design, New content etc etc.
Day in. Day out. They will read prof forums. They will play ranked PVP matches. They will play in raids. They will talk to players. They will work on profession balance. They will focus on one profession a week. They will eat / sleep and breath professions.
That’s what I’d like to see.
Would be nice to see an ANet youtube video where they follow Karl/Roy/Josh around for a day to see just exactly what it is the average balance dev is doing from 9 to 5. Given how minimal the work is that we see each patch directed at substantial profession changes/fixes, I guess they just arent focussed enough solely on proffessions. And they really really need to be. Its something Anet needs to make allowances for.

Nice to see a dev name appear. I guess it brings some small hope that Guardian might have an examination in terms of :
1) mobility
2) sustain
3) team support
4) meditation builds being the only viable option
5) the prevelence of passive projectile reflects
6) only having a single condi type
Fairly similar layout of attacks on these weps from these two different classes…
Autoattack chain, whirl, leap, then two supporting attacks.
Scrapper gets 4 stacks of might for 8 seconds AND 4 stacks of vuln for the autochain.
Guard gets 1 might stack for 5 seconds.
Both do the same base damage over the 3 hits.
ANet: What’s the balance rationale behind these sort of design inconsistancies please? Does guardian make up for it elsewhere? If so can someone point me where?

bunker guardian is already very tanky but still can be kill i have no complain bunker have it place in conquest pvp. But for druid to take on 3-4 person on a point is something seriously wrong. Please look into it

Because let’s face it, the same 8 year old can play it logic can apply to ANY ranger build because it’s just an easy class in PvP no matter what.
That’s why we’ve seen such a huge number of Ranger in high tier pvp and comps over the last few years.
