I have been playing with S/d all night. It fun. The difference noticeable. I even went Core with it and it more then just a little viable. I think I am going to sit in a core build for a bit and get used to no DrD so I can prep for DE.

SA/Acro/tr is what I have been trying. CS might interest me as well.

That’s a good idea. I might stop using DrD for a while too, so it’s not a big shock once DE comes out.

It’s always been good for pve. I stopped using staff ages ago and went back to S/P.

Rifle + S/P is what I’m gonna be using. I never did like staff already running S/P + P/P.

I rolled a Charr for my thief and have no regrets! She is furry deadly!

That’s close to what I am running, except I use Critical Strikes instead of Acrobatics. S/P I find is a much easier time than staff. That is just my own personal preference though.

So as a new player this is good news!

Everyone should be happy about this. Just means more people can actually get legendary armor now. No matter what game mode you prefer. No reason to be mad at this. If you already have legendary armor for raiding, that’s brilliant. Should no try and stop other who don’t raid just so you can continue feeling superior.

Looks like the threads I was looking at are a little outdated.

Edit: changing my armor from full berserkers to 3 valkyrie and 3 knight. Should help with surviving until I get better. Can start adding the berserkers back in slowly if I find I am improving. Also changing runes to daredevil.

I was stuck in the mindset that I HAVE TO HAVE berserkers. If I get kicked from groups for not running it 100% then kitten them!

Well kitten . I decided to get marauders trinkets too since I can get them now and I am dying SOOO easily all the time in hot.

Now I find out that the laurels and fractals don’t have marauders. I have to raid? Bugger. Just farmed up to be able to buy first pieces! My bad I should have researched how hard some gear is to get and how hard the thief is before I started playing.
I would try other gear but I have been reading that I will get kicked from a lot of groups if I use more defensive gear

Think I might delete this character and start fresh with something easier. Any suggestions?

Just sucks I have to craft armor. Never have been a fan of crafting. I do envy the people who enjoy it. Looks like this game is going to force my hand though. Oh well.

Hey all. I am new and just hit 80 on my thief. Just bought some gems so I could equip myself with Exotic gear.

Now I am wondering what the fastest way to work towards ascended gear is. I am looking for Marauders armor and Berserkers everything else. I realise this may take some time since I am new 80 and only have about 100 gold at the moment. Just wanting to know best path for me to start working on ascended.

Also, no sure about others but I still spend about $20 every month. Been playing on and off since beta. Whenever I come back to the game I always drop a lot of cash.

What’s with all the people saying that Oceanic doesn’t have enough players? How the hell do you know? Oceania has 25 countries in it with a combined population of 39,771,060. I’m sure there is enough players in that group to justify it. Server tech is also not expensive anymore.

Just came back to the game and I am sitting on 225 (NZ). Used to play ranged and it wasn’t so bad, but I wanted to start fresh this time around so i made a Thief and boosted it up to 50. Now the latency is incredibly noticeable. Been playing fora few days on the new character now and it sucks. It really really sucks. I am hoping I will get used to it but it’s gonna be a long road.

I can see why people sitting around 300+ just wont play the game.

I will just continue using my GS and doing more dps via staying alive longer.

It’s funny. I always take GS. Always. I am always the last one left alive. I am always the one who can do the most dmg due to always being alive. Go figure.

I just came to mention this. New sound is great. Old one was very annoying and intrusive.
Maybe people wont be haters towards GS Mesmers now with new sound.

Wondering if i should scrap precision all together and just got for vit/tough/cond for everything. Have about 20% chance to crit which doesn’t seem like much. Would make me tankier and free up sigil spots for other things.

Yeah. This is really making me not want to play. I was so excited for GW2 and have been actively playing since release. Changes like this, however, just make me want to stop.

I really hope they fix Temporal Curtain soon. I can’t count the number of times it is wasted. Out of everything wrong with the Mesmer this irks me the most.

Anyway, why can’t I crit on dragons? So atm all my precision and crit dmg from my traits and gear it made redundant when vsing them. This is just stupid imo. Something needs to be done to fix this. I am sure it is just a bug because if it isn’t i have to question some of the kitten kittens and their design choices.

You are not having to kill them twice. When they are downed they are still alive.

I was having a lot of trouble with this puzzle too. Then I decided to change my resolution from 1920×1080 to 1024×768.
The difference this made was insane. Sure the game looks crap but for some reason (FPS I think) the JP became a kitten ton easier and I was able to finish it within 10mins after doing that,

Since I am build around condition dmg and confusion, scepter is great. It is funny how many times people just insta kill themselves with 11 stacks of confusion on them.
