Be aware we might consider also other non-scheduled days of the week (same time though) for raiding atm, so be prepared in case we ask you one or two more days to be there

[Rod] is a raiding guild born on 1st raid wing release which actually, has in farm mode all 4 wings.

We are Looking For someone full experienced who main:

• Power Elementalist (all staff variants) plus 1 alt between Condi Thief\Engy and Power Guard (other options like War, Rev kiter for Deimos or Druid would be considered)

What we offer:

- A spot in a raid who dealt to full progress through all wings in first week since their release.
- A static raid.
This guild has been created to raid and we want to raid always with the same people with a fixed schedule. If you join us and are good enough to pass our trial, you will have granted a spot in our raid. We are players with 700+LI plus Legendary Armor, and dont guild people if don’t need them (usually when someone quit the game or turns unreliable).
- A guild who has done and will do whole raid achievements and stuff like vg no green, gorsie no updraft, sabetha 1 cannon up etc, slippering slubbing, you can’t outrun… a warg etc.
- A guild where you always know when we are going to raid (Monday and Thursday 7,30pm BST aka 8,30pm CET). We usually tend to clear everything on monday leaving thursday for challenges/achievements or testing different things.
- A guild where everyone of your mates got full ascended raid rdy 2+ classes and know what to do.
- A guild where none will never ask you to represent xD Why that? Because we come from several different historical gw2 guilds and this guild do not demand you to leave friends you’ve played with for years to just raid with us.
Do not expect this means we are a pug guild tho.
We don’t mind of the tag but as soon as you guild us we expect you to show up on our raid scheduled days regardless the guilds you are in. If you think you cannot do that, don’t waste time joining us. Do not showing on our regular raid schedule longer than 2 weeks without a warning it’s a kick.
Outside our raid schedule you can do whatever you want about raiding, istance or your other guilds.

Requirements to join:

-Discord, knowing english;
-know your classes (metabuilds above & beyond; having proper gear (ascendend gear), know the enviroment (raid3, all the wings), being polite and having a good attitute when we ask you something;
-at least 21+ years old

Our trial:

It’s the raid, nothing more to say about that, we gonna test you in raid for a couple of weeks.

Our schedule:

Monday and Thursday @ 7,30pm BST aka 8,30pm CET.
Consider with the new wing release, we might add up temporarily one more extra day for progress (that day i’ll say in advance is probably TUESDAY, so keep this in mind :p)

I’m a bit concerned since most of the ppl that contacted us seems have NOT read at all what we were asking in this thread.

We’re looking for:

- Chronomancer main having at least 1 alt between Engy and Tempest
- Enginer or Druid having at least 1 alt among Chrono, Tempest, Reaper.

Raids are planned 2 times a week , Monday and Wednesday @ 8pm GMT.
Usually we clear everything or as much as possible on monday, and leave wednesday to recover some boss, practice something different and/or achievements).
Might occasionally add Thursday if something unexpected pops up.
We can move up time (-1h) or change days according with the group’s issues.

Our goal is to have a static group working as a team in a friendly and trustworthy enviroment

• If you don’t master the classes we’re asking, do not pm me (this expecially regarding Chrono).
• If you are going to not be consistent with your own words, do not pm me. (like saying ‘’Yeah yeah sure i’ll come’’ then not showing up)
• If your timezone does not allow you to be on for raid time, do not pm me.

Yes, it was a totally bad idea.
The player base of this game is not consistent enough, just a little part of it is really dedicated to raids.
Devs should have focused to make more dungeons regardless the crying on these forums.
Facts in time showed me ppl approaches to raids in this game are awkward/unhappy simply because they were used to another game and were expecting from the game itself everything but raids. I mean, for the past 3 years average player on here always been a casual who doesn’t want to invest too much time and get frustrated in that kind of content – blame the manifesto -, expecially if the reward doesn’t worth it: <insert long debatable story about Anet nerfing loot because it’s not healtlhy for the game economy>.

Came here because had enough about raiding (coming off other games where i was an heavy raider) and took however my – bad – turn to them since HoT was a poor xpac with basically nothing aside raids, and endless grind disguised as “content”.
Wing 1 was sorta okay, nice bosses with interesting mecchanics.
Wing 2 started to drop on level compared, feels unrefined and rushed- trio is not really a ’’boss’’ -. Mecchanics put everyone on the same lvl of responsability so if, per say, you have 2-3 ppl a bit sloppy – keep in mind what i’ve said about ‘’average player of this game" -, there’s no way to carry/cover them, which results in a more punishing system in my opinion ofc. Top guilds can dissagree all they want since they are prolly all good and nobody does mistakes :p, but I have 70LI and my own experience’s data on topic, lead me on this conclusion so far. I’ll be happy if facts will prove me wrong in the long run.
In any case, it’s palpable there’s already a lot less ppl around compared to HoT release.

Last but not least, I see quite some fanboy here trying to look at the wise man finger meanwhile he’s pointing at the moon and this really doesn’t help…

Would pay 44€ for a good chunk of contents, which sadly, I don’t see on this ‘’features pack’’ in disguise.
So yeah, dear Anet, try again….

They even wanted to get rid of the dungeon’s forum section, seriously…
They do not want to implement a new dungeon trying to let it pass such as:
‘’We develop alternatives conceptual ways to do our own MMO" lol…
Anet releasing this expansion only because NCSoft is pushing them.

Last but not least i came to be with the same guard who went afk all day in unranked (and was there for the merely purpose of daily but i guess he never won a single match), in the very last match, before start, he pmed me saying," I need money or afk", you don’t want to know what i told him, i can’t repete it, and i’m generally a polite person too.. :p

Yes please, can’t get a decent matchmaking, just finished to say so in another thread, was surprised none been raising the issue yestarday already.

How about rather to ‘’Play the x class’’ ‘’Stomp the x class"? Dunno the others but i’m having hard time to play since everyone try to win a match with the designed class and I can’t get a decent matchmaking (unranked) so yeah..
(also to the OP, really do the wvw ones, takes 15 min and that’s it :p)

I must say it…Probably the most HORRIBLE achi chain ever of its kind…
Gosh, the 18# was the worst imo, those 5-6 death jumps on ledges with no way to recover if failing, were a total pain in the kitten.
We ended up spending something like 6 hours in there (we did first the jp thinking maybe not all the coins were locate till the very end… -.- ).Then, surprise….
And.. the most rewarding thing I got been an huge headache -.-

Since yestarday i had made myself a ranting post (got farmed with total random pug group by a 5 ppl premade choosing Curtyard and campin spawn. UnrankedQ.) but didn’t let it out. Talked instead with my friends in game and we came to conclusion that:

1) : We dont’ want to go back to SoloQ how it was, I totally refuse to accept we getting back to that horror.
Yeah this system require a bit to get greased and couple thing must be reviewed.

2) : Team of 3-4-5 premades must be matched with similar teams, expecially if they come to farm Unranked Que otherwise this is getting completely unfair. Anyway I dont want to go back and being forced to join alone neither joining with a single friend and get rekt by full premade. (and NO I dont want to be forced into get a full 5 team premade as many of you stated at the start of this topic. This is a free World and not all the ppl enjoy that)

3) : Dunno if Dishonor kicked in already but ppl still leave… I had like 5 games in a row with 2-3 vs 5. Please add a /resign command available in such situations. ( from Gw1, e.g. all the ppl in a team can choose to give the win prematurely to the other one ). Will surely make it bearable -.-

4) : Frankly individual MMR should have been reset.

I’m also glad there’s no ladder in UnrankedQ, otherwise i’d have already eaten the face of somebody there <3 (and the rants would be x1000)

Not the same items, but the same issue I think – one of the collections requires you to get a Royal Signet of Doric ascended ring. I have 3 or 4 of them, but no credit for it. Granted, in my case they are all infused, but… seriously?! This needs to be fixed.

On the recipes in the collection – this is silly and, as the people above pointed out, it impacts negatively on those who already have them…

The futures they made were more like programming adjustaments/reworks at my eyes, although I agree the new TP feels so unconfortable at some extent.

The collections achievements are probably the worst part, so few AP rewards for way too much gold squandering.. absolutly disappointing.

No they had Dawn equipped so I don’t believe so, it was only on their armor not there weapon.

There’s a visual bug occurring when you swap multiple leggendaries, u might get one or more auras on you even wielding a different weapon. You can also have the same results as you asked, if in the off-set lies Juggernaut – i have 8 legendaries, it happens to me very often when swapping quickly meanwhile running during some instance.

Some ppl also thinks it’s cool…. Probably not when you are a norn moving in tiny areas -.-

Okay… never experienced this error that much all in a sudden so many times in a row but just now. Got it at least 6 times consecutively meanwhile running to world bosses.
Don’t really think its a ‘my end’’ problem as everything else works fine.. :/

The RNG of this game is too weird really.
It’s like me and my mate doing fractal dailies. He always get an ascended chest, which is ALWAYS or boots or gloves, he has like 30+ ascended armorchest pieces of that kind, and ONLY those. He gets mad everytime and clain Anet knows well how to troll ppl.
And me, i never got a single anything at all since they got introduced.

It’s like that guy who got Zap three times in a row forging for science, or my friend that dropped The Bard and The Lover in dungeons, 5 days distance one from the other and nothing in ages (he plays since release, like 8k hours ./age – I mean, it’s a lot of gameplay time…. -) before nor after that.

I can understand RNG is random but it appears definitely broken…

I used to play this game for fun, nice combat system, nice enviroments, the only annoying thing… jumping.

As others have stated already, this is not a platforming game, it’s an MMO fantasy theme – should be -, and not all of us are Super Mario’s clones.
Till you are able to ignore it and do things regardless, fine, who am i to negate to those who like jumping such amazing aspect of the game…? Live and let live.

But now… Let’s say i maybe had some hype about this LS2 expecially, toward new contents since we are on a cold streak of NO new ones quite a while, and all i get is.. being forced to do exactly what i like LESS in order to complete it and the new set of achis.

I almost regret LS1 all the way…

ANET! Played GW1 4y, playing this from headstart. OUTRAGEOUS situation!

I’ve never swapped server one year and more actually, completed the meta for this season the second day or third -Seafarer’s (never <3 ) Rest – and got no reward at the end :<.
Bad Anet, bad!

The problem here is design that fails horribly at many levels.

Me an my guildmate today were doing Gauntlets bosses, at some point we noticed 6 commanders and went down to see what was going on.

They started the chain – all same guild- we went Pyroxis as ele and mesmer. we were like 5/6 ppl there and boss was dying like a fly splattering on ground. At some point they said to us ‘’stop dps’’, we did but boss did reset instantly. At 2,30 min to the end of gold reward we started again to kick him, and still killed him before all others (and even slowing down the dps).

We got silver reward for 4/5 more seconds than what should have been on both attempts, because Kurai – the last one in the order and always at 5% – was taking forever and ppl dying horribly at it, then the other randoms went to ‘’help it out’’ upscaling it to the oblivion.

As cherry on top it was a racial guild with bad english knowledge.

This can’t work in Open World. End of the story.

+1 to this, I’ve experiences quite some circumstance where would have been lovely having an ascended assassin trinket combo rather than just zerk.

Also dont understand why there is no combo available still…

I know couple of very good players really, they on verge to quit due to what MMR caused to them. And in all this they can’t do anything, when you in the blackhole even carry them is not possible, 4 vs 5 also aggravates the situation.
On a side note, you don’t need to see a rank to understand the lvl of awareness of a player.
When you offbunk close stating that at start and then the only guardian comes close too to just get those 10pt leaving other ppl getting murdered elsewhere, you dont need to see it, he’s prolly rank 10-15 at max.
So yeah like it or not, ther’s a relation between rank and knowledge, simply because the more time you invest into something the more higher you get on rank, the more you get to know about how pvp works.
All this ‘’rank doesnt mean skill’’ have been caused by Anet not stopping the skyhammer heroes when it was the time.
On the other hand I know some quite high ranked and in ladder ppl who is simply awful and got carried all the way but they are a minus part of the problem nowadays. Since Anet seems to hate who dedicated a lot of time to the game, those will leave at some point too :p.

I’ve been suggesting something similar to this for a little over a year now. My proposed system would be:

• Unranked “Everything Goes” Queue This would be what the current Team Queue system is, only unranked.
• Ranked Solo/Duo Queue Yea, sometimes I like to solo, sometimes I like to queue up with a friend. Is that too much to ask for? kitten. *This should only be open to people rank 20 AND higher. This is how you filter the news from the experienced. Seems simple right?
• Ranked Team Queue TEAMS ONLY. No roster of any less than 5 people should be allowed to queue up in here. Period. Get it through your head.

That might probably make me come back to pvp a bit more actively. Straight after patch iv’e played 2 SoloQ and then i decided to stop for my ulcer to not get worse…
Moreover i used to TeamQ with a friend but most of the times it resulted to be a drama gettin smashed by full premades, so we decided to give up there.
Unranked Arenas would totally suits me.

Please, for all those who got unlucky and are in the blackhole of the ladder (for SoloQ expecially, given the new affluence of ppl in there and the infinite drama of 4 vs 5), can we have a Ladder Reset Contract? (to zero obviously)
At least those who are currently screwed due to fail MMR/bad circumstances, can have another chance.

yeah my guildie complayining all time because last month a good part of his tourneys (he does few in the late evening) have been 4 vs 5 or even 3 vs 5. I’ve never seen so many dc in a while like in this past 2 months and its hard to believe its just ppl having net problems so often or leaving on purpose… It appears most likely something up on Anet side, bad servers maybe :p just guessing

Ironically i just posted on a similar thread subject in crafting section.
I have currenty 6 Superior travelers Rune in a set i bought with badges in wvw and can’t get them off it in a any way. I’m going to craft full sentinel set ascended for wvw and would like to get back those runes to reallocate into the new one.
The splitter is really too expensive current state. Lower significantly the price or let us salvage those gears. The problem will still stay though if you want to take off some ascended weapons them sigils :/
