I’d like to preorder PoF via the Black Lion Trading post, but i do not own a credit card nor a paypal (nor do i wish to set up one due to many security issues I heard from other users) nor a paysafe card.
Now I wish to know how either giropay and instant transfer will proceed when selected, since neither shows tabs to enter SEPA, IBAN or BIC numbers, it only asks for my address an E-mail.

since we have no better exsample i compare it to raid bosses in WoW.
WHAT happens to raids 3 months after the inital launch and th dust of world first settled?
the bosses get to FARM status and not jsut for hardcore raids, but casual raids too.
tactics are imbeeded in your muscle memory, thing SEEM easier since you are conditioned to fight the raid boss.
what you see as face roll baby easy mode is simply tequatle goin back to farm status, specialy since the mechnics in of themselfs never changed. the onyl thing the community had to adjust too was more zerk dmg.
and that is the reason why it was DUMB to call double HP hardmode in the first place.
it wasn’t. it was a to uncalculated attempt to keep teq on the pre pre patch farm level of succes, while i think the pre patch version was actualy better to effectifly get the loot rewards after good 1 1/2 years of doin this WB.
Your hardmode mindset is really just elitism and exclusion of content that was meant to be for EVERYONE.
and it will happen again. and again. and again.not jsut with tequatl but all the new challanging content coming with HoT. the only thing you can Hope for is that it takes alot longer to bring the challaning content to farm status.
Asoon it hits that point new challanges should be ready to be released.
An open world boss event shouldn’t need tons of jumping, taxing and basically manipulating the megaserver system just to have a CHANCE, we already have that with Triple Trouble and quite a large number of people skip that boss because of the large ammount of organisation effort required INCLUDING said manipulation of the system, for not enough chance of good loot.
What is the problem with having 1 or 2 bosses made specifically for the Hard cord crowd?Are the casuals so selfish?90% of the game is made exactly for them.
because some don´t want to craft, and some can´t get into fractles and teq and TT are their only means to get ascended gear
and NO double HP is NOT more fun. what you like about it is the exclusion of other player.
You still need to wear chest, legs and boots in pvp for the full defense stats :’) just fyi
Now to your issue, I wouldn’t mind male Charr or Norn having the hide chest option, but that would be a lot of effort programming wise just to enable for those 2. It wouldn’t he appropriate to have it across the board.
There is a heavy armor piece which shows a lot of bare chest, I can’t remember the name for it though.
however middle and light armor class don´t have that. mosz of the times its a to short shoulder poncho.

From what i’m seeing.The cituation is not different at all from when Tequatl was 1st revamped.People then cried for nerfs.Now they do again.You said then people didn’t knew the tacktics.Well they took their time to learn them didn’t they.Today is the same as back them.Tequatl was change a little and everyone is crying for nerfs again.As before give it time to learn it.How hard is that?If you can’t do it from the start.In a while you will learn how to do it properly.There is nothing wrong with learning things.
A year ago the maps that did Tequatl could be counted on 1 my hand.With time people learned the fight and the maps increased.After this HP revamp we are back to square 1.Only a handfull of maps will be able to do it untill more people learn what to do,how to do and so on.

actually msot build in the old system were limited because you need msotly two traits for a weapon you main in your build.
NOW they are combined in one and you can repalce the other trait with a new one.
also you get three full lines.
before you can onyl have two and a thrid of a line.
and you could have traits that are entirly useless, not jsut because of meta but they had no synergy what so ever.
if we talk alone of three line builds then you compare 2 and a third lined with at leats two traits helping on weapon making it only 5-ish some time only 4-ish traits (either off hand traits or utility traits 2 for each)
and only 7 minors
new system has 6 full interchangeable traits meaning 1-2 more traits used then before since two trait for one thing are not required, since all weapons traits and utility traits are drawn together (seriously WHY wouldnt you use two traits making your meditations more effectiv?)
also 9 minor traits
Now traits that were the “best” in the old system have been restricted to choose between one of them. since you can´t palce a former rank trait in higher rank slots
so you can literaly and easier calculate the numbers of builds possible.
5 traits per 8 classes
3 traits per class from those
1 trait having 27 ways to be traited.
thats 135 traitable ways with all 5 at once.
but then you can onyl use 3 at the time, which doesn´t reduce the numbers of ways to trait rather increase them

Player who makes 20 dollars an hour – 30 min of his time = 140 gold.
You have nothing to complain about.
I’m not saying I have a lot of time. I’ve gone through times when I had plenty of time to play video games, and gone through times when I didn’t. I do the world bosses too but if you think they should give the same reward as fractals even though all you have to do is tag them once and let the zerg kill… idk what to tell you. World bosses are easy so they don’t give you as much as the harder content.

But 5 man copared to 150 is easier to coordinate, then the fact you can literaly run another round of fractals after the last whiel you ahve to wait 4 hours for teq and the fact you actualy get more loot in rares and evne exotic gear is enough sentiv to raise the drop rates on teq and worm.
just by runs it would be impossible to have the same reward in the same time.

I agree with OP.
I think all “high-reward” world bosses should be difficult. I think The Shatter and The Claw of Jormag should be more difficult. It should represent the fact that these are dragons, in addition the should increase the reward for em too.I remember when Taq was first introduce, 1/10 events were successful. Once you killed him it felt good. Before the HP buff it was just a grind, “oh lets go kill Taq…again”, no challenge. Now it feels much better.

problem is there is no HIGH reward. the high reward is the ascended gear box, but that was allready so rare before the Double HP, that NOW its objectivly not acceptable anymore.
Yeah there are many reasons why the loot on this game is so bad but it’s partly because of the pay model. Subscription MMOs dont really have the problem where they need to constantly push for incentivizing buying gold but instead just to buy subscriptions, whereas free games want you to buy gold. Buy-to-play games like this one are kind of in the middle between the two usually.
In this case of GW2, they want there to be a heavy incentive to buy gems and convert to gold, but not overburdening to the point where you feel like you have no other choice.
What are you talking about? If you do a few dungeon speed runs every day you make enough gold and dungeon tokens to gear up as many characters as you like while you save up for ascended crafting.
You also tend to make a lot of gold off other things but I mentioned dungeons because the daily bonus is consistent and it’s easy to speed run them.
The way they get people to buy gems is by offering exclusive stuff in the store like infinite gathering tools, account upgrades, cosmetics, etc…
See, crafting there’s the 1st issue. Many ppl don’t want to even look at it, personally I’ll never level a single profession.
On the other hand you can get Ascended as rare drops, which are so rare you can’t really count on it. I want to slay big hard beasts and get rewarded for it with good gear, not bloody kittening spoons…that’s how it has always been in MMOs.
Actually the only ascended weapon that I got was from a WvW rank up, stupidity much?Also, the hell is it account bound. It should become AB upon equipping the gear, but no on acquire. So at least those weird people that like crafting could sell what they craft on the TP, I mean isn’t that why crafting existed in the 1st place on every MMO?
You’re supposed to craft ascended stuff. Why do you hate crafting anyway?
However, maybe if you play super high level fractals you’ll find some.
Of course, first you need to play some lower leveled ones to get your ascended rings, ascended back item, etc… and it’s probably a good idea to do some guild missions for your accessories. Then you have enough AR for mid level fractals where you may find some ascended armor.
But it’s a lot better to craft your ascended armor so you can get enough AR for high level fractals.
so your solution is to FORCe players into something they don´t like for what ever reason?

Specialy NOW with the double HP op buff for teq, the risk is to high for the little reward you get.
there is a reaosn why they made precursor crafting. its not the usual crafting through a profession rather a achivment system.
crafting requires you to get all the mats in the first places.
some people however are not highschool kids but people who work, do other things offline, etc etc.
Not to mention its still not a great crafting system in the first place, getting from 450 to 500 is a shore since you have to craft mostly stuff you have no mats for like all sorts of Cores that don´t drop frequently.
and against you si the stat changing mystic toilet recipe.
this literaly one of many steps providing those people to modify their DROPPED Weapons and armor.
How ever those msotly dropped only for thos people at teq and trile trouble.
both of which have more HP but still the same low reward kitten goin on.
if they would have adjsuted rewards in favor of player, then nobody would actualy complain even about the false difficulty through more HP.
heck a ratio from 1/20 or 1/25 gear/matches would be enough.
for 6 armor peices it still requires atleast a week oif palying 24/7.
then the aditional weapons drops.
count in farming gold for the inscribtions and runes to modify stats.
you ahve the same amount of time spend as crafting while beeing 24/7 (not really but i jsut say it to emphfize it)
or if the reward is basicly 1 out of 10 wins you get a scneded gear box.
otherwise you wont get people to like this
Done teq with one minute to spare on a pug map which leads me to conclusion that as long as people stop going afk while autoattacking, it’s perfectly doable albeit “harder”. Give it a week so that people get used to it and you will have it back to normal, tough taking a tad longer then it did before.
you sure you were there with people from 150 guilds?you amy have been in a guild map without beeing in the guild itself
problem is you still jsut get green stuff most of the time.
yes 90% of teq goers want to waste 45 inutes wait time to get to a teq map, spend then 30 minutes failing on teq only to wait 3-4 hours to try another time if their isnt a guild around that start teq again. for a tequatle spoon.

The problem really is that challangin content alone is not what was needed. challanging content that ha sa high risk/reward ratio is what MMOs need.
if the reward are still the same,then Teq will die out no matter what tactic or organisation you put up.
its like you work at your job and get enough to get by, suddenly you have to do DOUBLE the work but don´t get a proportional pay check.
what do msot people do? find a new job, even when its a troubled market.
same will happen with teq.
Unless the ascended gear box drop rate goes up to a more frequent one, no pug will put effort into it in longterm.
ofcourse right now pugs are thick headed kittens that jsut out of spite toward critiques do it, but if this change stays, lets review this in 2-3 months.
i garantee you sparkly fen will be a constant rot motuh over run map.
bets way to check it meta battle:
take ucrrent number of build of meta battle compare them one month down the line after HoT release.
if the number is in a 10 ranger to one another then new variations only caome up or disappeared.
only if you have a huge difference oyu can claim diversity is gone.

I have seen SOME arguments for useful racials and here are my coutner arguments:
1. DnD Skyrim argument.
DnD is a closed of only X amount of party members single palyer campaign that ahs onyl THOSe palyers and non other, DnDing alone is very difficult and in normal case simpossible, team paly is needed.
skyrim…………….you can literaly get past EVERY single racial benefit later one by simply train those skills. the only thing it provides in a SINGLE PALYER RPG is preferenced skills to start of more optimal for a wepaon armor etc.

you claims only the looks count on them? wrong. its also HOW they play out that makes them lore friendly.
Humans never had the ability to change their form for no good reason, they needed a well trained profession (thats why im VERY iFFY with melandru as transform skill)

jsut giving them a different look while keeping the same function and mechanic is boring and could rather be used for a new profession rather then beeing race based.

WoW racials are NOT a gamechanger
DnD and skyrim racials are only good to start out but have in the end barely any effect, and if they do you have botched skilling your charcater correctly.
any other MMO and RPG racials: become obsolute at the beginning of the middle of their game.
racials are fun to paly with if you jerk around and don´t run fractle 56+
however the true progression should be ON the profession not the race you play.
Heck hardcore DnDer of edition 2 applauded those who made the odd choices.
mages and wizard were useless early gameeven as magical alined race such as elf or other.
or course halfing warriors had it difficult, but those who played good had the best DnD session in their life.
However this is only possible when you can have an controled environment and NOT the chance of elitist bahvior like:

i mean the very fact that we CAN have asura warrior is evidence enough that racials should NOT determing our race choice.
In WOW classes are allready restricted by lore crap, im glad we at GW2 DONT have this problem. I mean even paladin tauren while lore friendly still are debated(holy cows FTW)
you all DO realize that the red lave is PART of the armor and acts partily as chainmail like under garment. its like a very thick turtle neck. also it has some cool implications:

there si ONE problem NOONE said anything:
the materials that are needed for the mystic forge HAVE NO MATEERIAL BANK SLOT.
means that with the sudden materials you get for your scrolls AND allready gathered SPs you have more stuff in your bank you DONt need and can not sell.
WHY do you want exchange Skillpoints on toons and in scrolls JUST with Mysticforge mats, which have no banks slot to this day btw, and some unexplained currency we have no idea what we can with it? Why can´t you just exchange them to the hero points you want to introduce?
another problem is EVEN viable build have MANY occasions were you ahve TWO major traits of ONE trait section active sinc ethe grandmaster simply sucks for the build you trying to play. from my current 17 toons 8 builds have this goin on. and its not Oh you could repalce it situations, they a vital to that build.
not to mention MANY builds that ARE meta actualy need FOUR traitlines.
many ele builds some guardians builds, tanky war stuff.
all gone.
and the thign is most otherbuild relied on the three trait build ONLY because of the stats, which are also redestributed away from them. so in that case it means i WOULD have bene able to make a viable Burn condi guardian with hammer without sacrifacing ANY points from a condi trait jsut to make the hammer more useable.
thats literly the only thing that stops my guardian from beeing extermly useful, JUST the stats.
I could use the traits i need and they are scattered over four traitlines.

mats? really? and probably the kitten thing you can buy with skill points? the onces that DON`T have a freakin mat slot in the bank? the mats that would then fill up my normal anks slots? which would then FORCE me to by more bank space in the item shop?

I am not entirely sure, but it does look like we might be railroaded into specific builds more, less choice to experiment and find a unique build of our own, even if it’s not the most efficient. I frequently end up with slightly odd builds as I am more concerned with personal survival while out roaming rather than specific DPS, etc cookie cutter builds.
In my opinion things start to go downhill when that choice is taken away. I know a certain other game, where every expansion meant that the talents were reworked and slowly took virtually all choice away so that players couldn’t ‘make mistakes’ with their builds.
Most of the player base does have a degree of intelligence, please let us make our own mistakes, and have our own eureka moments when we find a build that works specifically for us and our play style.
I have to admit when I saw today’s trait blog, that other game’s trait changes came to mind.

That’s not the impression I got. In fact, most of it is completely different from the current system. I’m not sure why you think it’s just a reskin when completely new functionality is being added.
I don’t think this new one is going to be tolerable in any way.
Says the guy who didn’t actually read or understand it. Here’s a summary:
Only three trait lines can be chosen, but you can pick the grandmaster on all those lines. This means that every build will have exactly 9 Minor Traits and 9 Major Traits. Also, choosing a trait line will immediately give you some additional attributes or improvement to your class mechanic. This change makes it impossible to splash 1 point in a fourth trait line, but it’s not like many current builds do it anyway.
Trait choices will be more focused and easier to understand, but also more restricted. Every major trait will have only three choices and you won’t be able to pick a trait from previous tiers: for example you can’t choose an Adept trait on Grandmaster tier. Traits will be more powerful and you will be able to pick 2 more than before (9 Major Traits against the current 7), but choice will be a bit more limited (only 3 Adept, 3 Master, and 3 Grandmaster traits against the current 6 Adept, 4 Master, and 3 Grandmaster).
New profession specializations are actually one new trait line. As simple as that. Choosing that line will give you new skills, a new equippable weapon, and new class mechanics. This also means that you will be able to choose only two among other trait lines. [Personal note: I am a bit worried that profession specializations may be too similar to core professions… but we’ll see].
Professions will decide base attribute points, traits lines and gear will do the rest. Every player will have 1000 base points on every stat, then profession will add some points, then each chosen specialization will add more, and finally equipment will do the same. This means that some professions may have higher power that others, a bit like Warrior has currently more health and armor that others.
Unlocks in PvE are basically unchanged, while in PvP everything will be unlocked from start. They renamed “Skill Points” into “Hero Points”, but the concept is basically the same, except that you (probably) won’t be able to get more Hero Points than what you need to unlock everything. By spending points on a track you will unlock traits and skills related to that particular track: for example the “Signet Track” for Warrior will unlock Signet skills and maybe traits that influence Signet usage. No more hunting down traits through specific content – just do what you want in PvE and you’ll unlock them via hero points (aka skill points).
the problem is that the grandmasters HAVE to compansate for the adabt trait people chose for their builds.
you ahve MANY build on meta battle right now that had to put TWO adebt traits in ONE trait line because neither one of the major or master traits were useable for that build.
right now i have a hammer war that uses Merciless hammer and cleansing ire, BOTH major traits, since the master traits are not helpful for the build. they are TOO situational for the build i can not use them properly.
and ele will be kittened since ever single ele build has arcane trait line invested atleast 2 points. whil the other are destributed to three others.
Not tomention they also have alot of of minor and major trait on master slots since for their builds they are not useful.
then there is the idiotic conversion of skill points to mats.

there is a good reaosn why didnt spend those points yet. but im literly forced to take mats now i have no kittenign space in ym bank for. am i supposed to by the optional bank space then? why? why can´t i jsut keep my points as points onyl converted to the hero points?

Why? Ok, camera is nice, some visual stuff too, BUT the stabillity is totally mess now? Why? U can’t now play meele at WvW, just can’t. U usually fight in blob at eb, when ur blob is gonna strike enemy blob u can’t stand, cos even with 25 stacks of stbility u lose it in 0,5 sec spammed by walls, stuns etc. It is not about blobs only, u can’t do anything as zerg against blob now, cos they have 2x more stabil, 2x more ccs, u just can’t do anything. I’m complaining much bout WvW cos it is most annoying there, but pve suffer too. For example during defend of Vinewrath u lose ur stacks in less time than duration of stabil. It is only usable at pvp – u have few ccs there from 1 player. ANET 50% of skills in this game are ccs! Proof?( cos u probably don’t know ur own game) Hammer for warrior – 6 skills( f1 included) and u have 3 ccs! Also lot of visual stuff is low: smaller hp bars for party, 2/3 of loading screen wallpaper, just what are u doing guys? U didn;t even ask community about those changes, u just used it and bah “go and play it OUR players”…Probably no1 from devs read this. Anotehr thing is lag after this patch, servers just can’t handle stab going out, CAN’T at last EU servers.
I play it for 2,5y and now after this update I’m really confused about expansion and u with this stabillity change didn’t pull me towards HoT( I proabbly buy it anyway cos of lore, but 3/4 or even whole WvW community is now mad about thsi change).

now you need to think and you can strategize.They had 2 group stab for 5 sec( 2 guard per party usually), SUCH LONG MAN. Now anet make CC TOO OP, cos u lose 5 stacks in no time. Do u even play in meele? Cos since u gave ele exampel i guess u play ele and u can;t feel the pain. U can;t srategise anything, u just win by number of ccs. For example 20 mt vs 10 mt? Who win ? 20 mt zerg! Why? Cos of 2x more stabils and 2 more ccs. Before patch u 2x more stabs didn;t matter cos u could handle same amount of ccs according to that 2x more ccs didn;t matter too. Now u can fight only with same numbers…Ehhh as i typed u are proabbly paper blobber and can’t feel how it is to run withotu stab in meele

simply because you would have to add every new pve map in the future which would make it more and more harder to complete. jsut hypothetical the current completion map counts sais 20 maps.
go down three xpnasions several lvigins tory update you could easily go to 50 or 80 or even 100.
thats would mean to have 1% you need to do one map.

first of all since when is it illigela to palce siege weapons until the map bursts? also since when is depliting supllies illegal? i can understand that with kitten behavior its jsut anyoing and disturbs the fun of WvW but why is it OKAY to ban people for building numerous siege weapons but not for acting like kittens?
