Were you fighting at melee? She fires a slow moving vortex that sucks you in and drains your HP so you have to stay at range and avoid it (or destroy the projectile). But yeah, that wasn’t a fun fight.

The images you link were taken after you defeated the malfunctioning Watchknight, right? NPCs tend to revert to a somewhat default state after events are done.

If you had spoken with them before talking to Jennah, you’d see this:

Rox – Look who’s here! Now it’s a party.
Braham – Here we are again, huh?
(and I wasn’t in the Molten Facility to begin with)

As far as the Tower is concerned, they are hallucinating, and you might be too.

Okay… according to the letter I received, it sounded like I needed to go to Black Citadel or Hoelbrak. I saw the info in patch notes about refugees in Lion’s Arch, but it wasn’t clear that’s where we should start.

It’s not where you should start. If you go the Black Citadel and talk to the Refugee Coordinator there he will tell you about people moving to Lion’s Arch.

Get one, if only for the guild bank.

On topic – I don’t really have issues playing solo, unless I’m running an event chain which suddenly turns into a group event (hello, Champion Modniir Overlord) and there’s no one around. I live off of junk I sell to vendors, and I have no issues with money.

Wurm projectile attacks DO sometimes count twice, if you dodge at exactly the right moment.

The right moment being when the stone is in the air, which is like a second or two, if you stand far enough. I don’t recall it ever not counting twice.

Wurms are better for daily dodges, every stone dodged counts twice and their attack rate is quite slow (especially those Ice Wurms’).

The same reason cultures with a deep rooted connection to Christianity name their children Christian names- like… well, Christian, Joshua, David, Mary, Joseph, Esther, etc.

The Sylvari have an intense connection to nature and, well, plants. Their entire culture is built around it, so, yes, you’re going to run into a lot of plant/nature-focused names. Seems pretty obvious, to me.

But the Sylvari don’t have parents that would “impose” names upon them.

Ermmm, in a way they….do. Us, the players. I have yet to meet a character that chose his/her own name O.O

But we don’t exist in Tyria Players who don’t treat their character like, well, characters notwithstanding.

Make your way to Rurikton in the Reach and you’ll find what you seek. In the southern corner there is a pair of scholars that do sometimes mention a certain group of heroes.

People don’t seem to remember us. Should they though? How many people knew we saved the world? And by people I of course mean humans. But even if they knew, do people have any particular reason mentioning us? How often do you talk about Genghis Khan?

There aren’t that many combinations so if you just write down those that you tried and skip them the next time you should complete it eventually. That’s more or less how I did it.

You are told what the values should be (it’s on the recorder inside the forcefield) but as far as I am aware you are only told two out of three so you have to try several combinations anyway.

While we’re at it the breaking mechanism could be constructed better. If I am to “take a while to consider the consequences” the logical thing to do is to stop talking to that device.

And I should also point out the name of the thread should inform other people what the thread is about

I am always drawn to non-human races (the less humanoid the better) so I would like to play as a Tengu (although I don’t think heavy armor would look good on them)

Anyway, every lore thread can use pieces of dialogue: (this happens at the gate in Caledon Forest)

Hayato: Here’s an idea: let’s knock on the humongous gate door, then hide and see what they do when they open up and no one’s there.

Sialor.7396

Let me get this straight…

DE: a repeating event that typically spawns mobs that drop loot.

Grub Slinging Giant: a respawning mob that spawns mobs that drop(ped) loot.

I guess I missed how that was an exploit. So in theory, there will come a day where mobs in DEs won’t drop loot at all in order to curb the acquisition of mats…along with the already-impletmented anti-farming measures? Ouch.

It’s an exploit if you’re keeping the Giant alive as long as possible so that you’d get way more grubs than you should if you fighted it “properly”.
