Well, gw2 finally got the cat ears (gw1throwback). Time to see if this year’s costume (outfit) is also throwback ( hopes for Vale Wraith). At least people can try to make the bat wing shoulder peice again if they haven’t fished it. I just want to buy the Mad Memoir’s (green one) for candy corn cobs

GW1 costumes and Armor I wish to see in GW2: Grenth outfit, Vale Wraith outfit, Silver Eagle Armor for hvy, Obsidian Armor (necro) for lgt, and Asuran ranger armor for med. But please for the love of the 5 gods NO Kormire outfit cause nobody likes Kormir. Stone gauntlets, Destroyer gauntlets, Glacial gauntlets, and bandana’s for all races.

what i find interesting is i got a similar message trying to log onto GW1. oh p.s. plz fix as soon as you guys are able we got GM’s tonight.

I can agree with that, BUT at least we should have been needed to return to that NPC when we were finished with the collection, and have text saying that we need one more piece to finish the item. Not having that kinda felt a bit crapy.

Nope I lied, hair styles for Charr, humans and Norn where the accessory is actually hair that is colorable. Like with one of the Asura styles.

Since this is a very long thread and chances are what I’m about to mention was said already, but here it goes. These would be great for either Guild Wars 1 Anniv. or as Guild Wars 2 Anniv. items.

I think that as gem store skins we the players get a staff or scepter skin of the Scepter of Orr. That item has a huge history in this franchise form Vizier Khilbron using it for his evil purpose and Livia’s search for it to help Kryta. It would also be a great omage to the players that have played since GW1. Also in that catagory if its not planned for in game use Obsidian Armor skin. For Light I would say the Necro one, for medium Ranger, and obviously Warrior for heavy.

For returning skins, aside form the fore mentioned Tribal Light Armor, but also Mad Memoires (green one) when the wardrobe was put into the game that was the only precursor item that was not unlocked for the wardrobe, and for ever wanted to use that skin for characters (yes on one of my many necromancers, and don’t ask as to why I have more than 1).

Last is gem store minis. This can go with the Obsidian Armor skins and the Scepter of Orr. Bring back minis of GW1 heroes and npcs. Make a few bundle packs that would contain minis of Eve, Devona, Cynn, Aiden, and Mhenlo in one. A 2nd with Rotscale, Lich Khilbron, Varesh Ossa, Shiro Tagachi, and the Great Destroyer. And a 3rd with Jora Livia, Ogden (would be cool to have the last living known dwarf running around with you), Koss, and Pyre Fierceshot. These can run for 1200-1500 gems your choice. Hell I know I’d buy all 3.

On changing runes….you can’t do it with legendary weapons (the sigils) gotta bite the bullet there, or pick traveler runes. just my thought on that.

I found the adjustment a bit rough seeing how I use other traits on other lines to improve DC. Now that bleed has replaced chill on that trait I feel put back on the proverbial bench again. Being a player that uses virtually the same build in all game types now I have to play around with builds again since I made chill damage the primary point of the build and all upgrades, traits, etc where done to work with the old DC. Necromancer is death and cold i.e. Grenth. Let Balthazaar and his “I just swung a sword can I has cookie now?” warriors worry about bleeds. Just a 12 year GW Necro Vet’s opinion.

And highly doubtful memory is an issue over 70% of the machine’s memory is not used.

I have found out that this is a bug that effect the 64 bit version of the client for Windows 10 users, but will happen on rare occurence. Since the repair function didn’t work hope Anet can come up with a solution.

When I log out the screen goes partially black with part of my background showing up it doesn’t bring up the log in screen nor will it allow me to close the window from the task bar. I usually wait15-20 waiting for anything to happen. Nothing has in the 4 times this happened. When I restart my machine and and try to pull up the log in i get an “Archive Restoration” window that pops up in its place in place of a sign in/load screen has this been happening a lot recently? whats the deal with this cause i haven’t logged in since last Sunday and every time i activate my client since then i get that Archive thing and won’t load the game afterwards. Takes 20-30 minutes before the game actually responds.

Once a gift card is active it cannot be refunded even with receipt. But they do carry gem cards so you can buy the gift card amount in gem cards then buy it through the Gem Store. I also made a thread asking Anet if they know what retailers will be selling the xpac. I hope they respond soon.

Is there a list for confirmed retailers of the boxed version of HoT that is shareable? and please don’t say Best Buy because in Florida they have pulled or reduced on hand stock of all computer games, and will not be replenishing there shelves of any game form any company. And since my ISP hub is 2 counties away and always being hit with bad thunderstorms the DL version is next to impossible to get with out a signal interruption. Can an available Anet Dev reply to this. Thank You.

JediYoda, here is an alternative solution for you. Join a guild that is not 100% rep that mainly gathers for Guild Missions so that you can do GM’s. And when GM’s are not going on you can rep what every guild you are in as much as you wish. Besides, you can always claim your 2 person guild is a spin off/chapter of the bigger one.

@UKADAM I’m with you Brother on the Necro part. but i have no issues running with Fractal groups usually it’s the Medium profession player kicked before me, but that’s a player to play basis.

Honestly, for me the only thing is (not really a complaint) what about those players who have grandfathered in time in game, gold, materials, real life money (for those that “borrowed” Daddy’s credit card) that had ascended back pieces since they were introduced? Are these items mainly relevant for the wardrobe for those players that do not run fractals? though not mentioned what exactly the legendary back item precursors are I would like to see a system put in to where you can upgrade current crafted ascended back items to Legendary level, but have to meet a minimum Fractal difficulty level to do so.

I just want the HoM and GWAMM bugs fixed. I’m still unlocking skins and titles, and now to learn that the undeserving are getting GWAMM? I know Anet has a lot on its plate with HoT, but please put this on the to do list after the current workload is finished. The true loyalist of Tyian’s wish it so.

I want to say thank you for including me in the stress test. I enjoyed what I experienced. I did feel like there was a but of lag with the skills (the Jalis elite visual kicked in about 5-8 seconds after I activated it). I did enjoy that there wasn’t must of a cut scene/cinematic with characters talking in the beginning. It made the player character more alive and involved with the story without the silly facial expressions.i unfortunately logged on in the last half hour of the test and was unable to try all the other fun things that the Revenant could do. Hope I’m considered for another test you guys do, until then keep up the good work.

There are already two new minis in the wardrobe, search for Mad King Thorn’s Head and Candy Corn Skritt.

Those things usually come in 3s. Should be another one. I’ll bet it’s listed in that_shaman’s listing out on reddit.

The third one is the mini glowing bat.

Yup, expect there to be a forth Halloween mini like the past 2 years. I smell a BL 3 pack and a Mystic Forge recipe. Also don’t forget that Halloween outfits tend to come in pairs, so perhaps there may be a 2nd of those as well. (just a guess)

I apologize of this has been asked/stated. I played the original Guild Wars, and noticed in the sunken ToA in Queensdale that there was a statue to Kormir in the ruins. My question is why? From what I understand of the lore Kormir was mainly worshiped in Elona first then came to Tyria. Why would her statue be in the ToA when it was clearly it should have been Balthazar or Lyssa for it was a place of worship to the 5 gods (pre Nightfall).

As a Long player of both Guild Wars games. Halloween and Winters day traditionally never added new content (minus new costumes and Mad King Says prizes and Winters Day hats) it was a break form the norm set around the holidays. Though I understand that some players want new content. This game is gaining newer players and with the release of Guild Wars 2 in a new gaming market (new servers in the east) no one should be surprised if they re-hash old material so they can experience their first Halloween or Winters Day which includes the weapons, armor skins, and back pieces, and if they do choose this route it’s a chance for players who took time off from the game from release to actually participate. Don’t view it as a punishment, but a chance to gain more of what you already have. As for the Raiment of the Lich outfit bring it on!

Konig: as for where the scepter is see my “( )”, I never said nor implied that the scepter turned Khilbron into a lich only that he was a lich. As for the Exemplar rank…. Livia was acting in a “Master position” seeing she was close to Prince/King …Jennah’s grand daddy, and leader of the Shining Blade at that time. Perhaps master was added later to the title that we do not know. And the scuttle butt about the Wizard’s tower was at GenCon this past summer not on a web page. And like I said I don’t put much stock in it.

As for the the Khilbron ascended item perhaps its still had magical residue left in it who knows. All I know is i enjoy seeing the throwback GW1 items.

It is stated in the book and the wiki (though not directly) that Livia put the Scepter of Orr back where she got it from after Kryta was at peace. And I agree with the comments that she perhaps became a lich like Khilbron did after using the scepter’s power. She is however the previous Exemplar of Kryta before Countess Anise proving that she is either undead or Immortal. There is also talk from GenCon that Livia is the real master of the floating Castle in Kesseks, but I think she living in Majesty’s Rest.
