Does it auto fill in your personal story like the boost in Star Wars the Old Republic?

I know the personal story wasn’t great and “Why would you even want to play it?” is probably the response that you’re going to post in about 3 seconds. Though, I like having a little journey with my alts in GW2. Seeing all the twists and arcs before Claw Island merges them together.

I’d like to check using the trial feature, but the trial disables your journal so I can’t really.

Wildfire Combo Bugs

in Elementalist

Songarg.3657

Seems the Warhorn #5 fire skill Wildfire is rather picky about what combo finishers it’ll work with.

Non ground-targeted blast finishers like Dragon’s Tooth and PBAoE seem to trigger might stacks just fine, but ground-targeted blast finishers like Phoenix don’t.

Leaps work some of the time but they seem to be picky depending on the angle you enter the field from. Works perfectly from one end of the carpet to the other, but coming in from the sides is a 50/50 chance it’ll trigger.

Projectile Finishers work well enough, but I’ve also noticed multi-projectile attacks like Hurl from Rock Barrier (Which are a 100% chance on each rock thrown, x5 in total.) didn’t trigger even one combo when going through Wildfire.

Whirl finishers work just fine, nothing wrong with them.

Racial Skills: Their place in the future

I’m pretty much with everyone here on not removing racial skills. Keep them in the game the same, change them a little, add them to their own catigory, make them a mastery track. What ever.

Just don’t remove any of them. Too many MMO’s think they’ll make the game better by pruning skills not used in the popular build or meta.

Suggestion for Racial Skills in HoT

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Songarg.3657

Songarg.3657

((Part 2))

I truly believe racial skills should not be removed, rather, they should be reformed to fit with the new systems coming. Don’t just take my idea if it doesn’t work, look at other ideas! WoodenPotatoes has suggested making them into their own skill trait lines that any race can go into. Lore wise it would be odd, but technically anything is possible. A renegade charr or oddball asura could start to follow a Human God. Besides that, I’m sure there are many other wonderful ideas for how to include them in the new systems, and hey if they still fit in their current form why change them? Include them!

I’m saying don’t just cut them because it doesn’t work. Other MMO companies have done just that and it’s really hurt people down the line. It’s a quick solution with very little gain. Besides, if you do cut them it drastically reduces the flavor of many races in the game.

Take the Norn, the first look we got of them in GW1 was Jora and how she towered over our tiny human. Then after we met Jora’s friends (Literally, right as we entered the next instance) And boom! Her two friends transform into werebears. Those two instances gave us very basic understanding of this new race the Norn: They are giant and can transform into bear-creatures. Leading up to GW2, it was told the Norn could assume more shapes then just the bear. And finally in the game itself we see many Norn NPC’s swapping between humanoid and were form for combat.

This sets them up as a unique race, it gives them identity. If we take that away? We’re left with their just taller branch of humans. Sure, people who look deep into their lore will find many differences, but what about your average player who wants to play their race for how they look or what they can do. We might as well cut the ‘what they can do’ out of the equation because without the transformation it’s just a choice of: Do I want to be an average human or a giant human?

Sorry about that long rant, but the Norn are the prime example of racial skills giving race identity. One can argue the other races don’t suffer from this as they look vastly different from the core Human, but C’mon man, I main a charr. What charr out there doesn’t love pulling a 9ft long rocket launcher out and shooting off fiery death?

Racial Skills add flavor, they don’t need to fit into the game or the endgame play style. They can be there for the feel of the race and some fun stupid shenanigans around the world. Let’s not cut them, let’s make them work. If anyone here has ideas they would like to post as well, please do! And if an Anet dev is reading this, please consider ideas for keeping racial skills in.

I’ve also posted this suggestion on the subreddit for Guild Wars 2.

Suggestion for Racial Skills in HoT

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Songarg.3657

Songarg.3657

Now, this isn’t a post to make people fear (or excited) for the future about Racial Skills in HoT, as I have no idea what Anet will do with the game or the changes other then what has been announced at the start of this post.

Since it seems very likely Racial Skills will be removed to conform with the new design of attributes and skills, I would like to beg, on my hands and knees, don’t remove them. Racial Skills are useless in the grand scheme of things, or there use is very very niche in a handful of situations in the game. Yet game play shouldn’t be the point of racial skills. Racial Identity is their focus.

I wont bore you with my views in this fist part on why it’s a bad idea to remove them, I’ll just offer up my suggestion as that is what the thread title is.

I feel racial skills should take the roll of Environmental Weapons.

What does this mean? Should I throw my Charr’s Charrzooka and the ground and pick it up? Nah. What I mean is they should be interactive items in your races city that said race can use. For example, charr’s my main.

A charr player could go to the Iron Legion kitten nal section in the Black Citadel and find a table with Pistols and Rocket Launches splayed out on it. Clicking said table will allow them to pick up on use items, one item will when clicked from the bag give a Hidden Pistol skill (replacing main weapons), or the other item will give them the Charrzooka skill set.

The same can be for other skills. You could go near a charr drill instructor and pick up a book of motivational tactics (Battle Roar), or back to the kitten nal and pick up the Land Mine. And finally give your Warband some slight use, go into your home instance and talk to the sole survivor. They will give you a flare gun that can summon two members of the Warband. Thus, Warband Support.

How about for the Norn or the Humans? They could go to god/spirits shrines and talk to the respective Priest/Shaman there. Get a Icon/Totem of the God/Spirit that will allow them to use the racial skills power. For the Norn hunter style skills, there are allot of hunters walking around Hoelbrak. Why not talk to them and get “Hail Slayer, next time your out in the wild. Try using this special technique to call a raven or wurm to your side.”. From here I’m sure you can pick up ideas with the Asura and Sylvari.

And for those wondering about the Mystfire Wolf skill with the deluxe pack, why not talk to anyone of the Mist Warriors around the world? If you got the pack they can offer you this skill in some dialogue.

Now, depending how you look at it, there is good and bad with this idea. The bad will be making niche builds that use the skills very clunky to use (Open bag, find the skill, click it, use the skill, then class skills). Yeah, that’s annoying, and trust me, I used the Hidden Pistol in a Guardian build once (Purging Flames > Hidden Pistol > GS 3.). However, the good could be a different type of build to come from it. You got a freed up Healing/Utility/Elite slot.

In terms of balance, these environmental weapons could be restricted in Dungeons and SPvP, or their current baseline skills nerfed to only be useful in single player shenanigans, of course just because they’d be nerf’d like that doesn’t mean their fun is gone. They where never supposed to be high utility endgame. And for racial flavor lets say a Human tries to get the Charrzooka, they’d be met with a “I can’t give this weapon to unauthorized soldiers, you’re more then likely to blow your hands off trying to operate it.”

First off, everything looks really amazing and I can’t wait for the Xpac!

But!

But, I have on minor concern about HoT: Is it upgrading GW2’s main engine? Because everything shown in the trailers looks upgraded and beyond what the basic game can pump out. (As stated by WoodenPotatoes and MattVisual)

Does this mean we’ll need a 2014/2015 Gaming PC to run HoT? I seriously hope not as one of the selling points for GW2 was lesser focus on high-end PC’s so more general people could play it. I wouldn’t blame Anet if they suddenly decided to update the game with bigger and better computer specs in mind, though I’d like to know if I should start saving for something more up-to-date or not before HoT hits the shelves.

Chris, I would like to thank you so much for all the responses you’re giving us in this thread. Especialy in regards to the Personal Story changes! It allows us to know what is and isn’t a bug, or bring issues like the removal of the Fear Arc right to the devs ears with feedback to boot. Really, it’s just refreshing to see. Thank you Chris.

My two cents on the Fear Arc: I would love it if it’s just a bug, but I can accept if it’s been intentionaly removed. Though if it’s gone, reasoning behind it’s removal would really soften the blow. It would still hurt, but not as much.

I would like to know if anyone can confirm if my Story Journal is correct, and the “Greatest Fear” arc is just gone, cut, snipped, removed from Chapter 7. By confirm I mean I would really love it if someone could tell me they where there and say “yes the arc is just missing”.

If you don’t know what I mean, it’s when the Pale Tree at the end of “A Light In the Darkness” ask you what your greatest fear is, and you get three answers that, after the step “Forging The Pact”, lead to a new set of missions where said fear plays out before your eyes.

All I really care about is if the arc is there or if it’s been cut, I fully understand the Orr storyline has been reorganized (Chapter 8 and Chapter 7 have swapped a few steps) but what I don’t know is if the swapping caused the arc to get cut or the journal isn’t showing the arc due to a bug in said swapping.

Much appreciated if someone can help with this.

Guild Wars 2 Anniversary!

Songarg.3657

Personally, I want something to happen. Expansion is what I am hoping for.

Now, I do have a healthy amount of skepticism about things, especially seeing how Clockwork Chaos turned out last year. Still, a few things have convinced me to be hopefully. They are as follows…

2 years alive as an MMO, seriously that’s reason No. 1 on my list. And it should be Anet’s! 2 years man! That’s something!

They just launched in Chain, adding 3.6 Mil boxes sold to their 3.5 Mil since 2013 in the west. If each box translates to $60 a pop (I don’t know the currency exchange to the American dolor so don’t quote me) that’s in the area of $200 Mil profit.

NCsoft has finished funding Carbine in the development and launch of Wildstar, so now they have nothing on their plate. So their funding is open to the next money making project. And roughly a year or so ago, an investment site did publish a report about the “high possibility of a Guild Wars 2 expansion” from there records. So right now, that high possibility looks like very high to me.

Not to mention Anet has been pretty good about putting things fans have wanted into the game, and I can’t tell you how many requests I’ve seen on the forums about an expansion. I even know old players who came in at launch and ask when I tell them about GW2 “Have they announced an Xpac yet?”

So 2 Years alive, income boost of 200 Mil, nothing on their publishers plate, fans asking for an X-pac. The only thing we’re missing is if all the planets in the solar system aligned over Anets HQ and a heavenly beam of light shined down upon it.

Prediction: Why Rytlock Failed

in Living World

Posted by: Songarg.3657

Songarg.3657

I have a sneaking suspicion we need Rurik himself to fix this, and the sword was fully aware of that, opening a portal to the underworld because it is trying to return to its rightful owner. So within the next few weeks we will travel there ourselves to get Rytlock back, only to meet Rurik, who will probably mention the PC’s similarities to the GW1 PC, and help us. Of course this also means we have to probably make a deal with Grenth to get this done, and there’s no telling what he’ll want in exchange.

While that would be truly awesome and amazing to not only see Rurik again but lay eyes on one of the gods for the first time!…. There are some holes that ruin it.

Don’t get me wrong, I would love to have it happen, but…

Sohothin and Magdaer where gifts to the Ascalon royalty from Orr about the time the Guild Wars started in Tyria, before that they had existed in the Orrian royalty for countless years. Prob. a thousand since the time of the Exodus. Rurik only got his hands on Sohothin because he was Adelberns son, and Adelbern was king so he had the right to display such an amazing gift to the nation. I mean, Ascalon had thousands of replicas made, so that must mean everyone felt pride in their nation owning the swords. And kinda begs the question why out of the countless people who handled it, Sohothin would return to Rurik. It’s more then likely Rytlock and Rurik have both owned the sword for an equal amount of time.

Again sorry to poke holes in your theory, I would love for it to be, just…. just yeah.

Love the cinematic, and the grim reality of this patch. Like, if you stand at the refugee camp at Vigil Keep. You can see a Charr there recently pulled from the disaster, aid worker tells him everything will be fine, but then whispers to the doc that he only has an hour to live.

Also, the zerg gameplay feels at home in this patch, despite the negativity it’s gotten. This is Scarlet’s Endgame. She has all her cards on the table: Molten, Ather, Twisted, and Toxic. Assaults from underground, from the air, from the sea, ect. This is NOT a one or five man hero job. This needs an army. Zerg gameplay captures that perfectly.

All and all, love the patch Anet, amazing job! Can’t wait to see what Scarlet is digging up from Old Lions Arch with that drill.

" All essential services that are unique to Lion’s Arch will be redirected to Vigil Keep for the time being, including Asura gates to other cities, Fractals of the Mists, and incarcerated cactus-faced troublemakers. Personal story steps will be accessible through a new entrance. Hwang’s team has taken steps to ensure that the city will remain fully explorable for map completion, although if you’re especially fond of a particular view…well, you might want to grab screenshots while you can. We were also warned that exploration isn’t exactly going to be as safe as it currently is. "

First off, I would like to say that this is an amazing end to the Living Story you got in the works. I genuinely feel there is a good chance Lions Arch will in fact be destroyed.

Now, onto the reason for this post.

I plead with you Arena Net, please, if you are in fact going to destroy the city. Don’t kill the Dungeon Gear vendors, or other NPC’s that sell unique items in Lions Arch. I don’t want Season Two of the Living Story to start with all the Dungeon Armor and Weapons gone. Poof, outta here. Didn’t play or was too lazy to grind out tokens for the cool looking stuff? Sorry, missed your chance and now the gear is exclusive to veteran players.

Or, if you are going to kill off the NPC’s in Scarlet’s attack. Make it so that the armor and weapons they once sold now drop from the said dungeon and their bosses, same with other unique venders. Give us an alternative way to get their items, rather than just scrap the hard work the art team did and remove it all.

in Tower of Nightmares

Posted by: Songarg.3657

Songarg.3657

I’ve started having an Idea that Scarlet, and maybe even the whole Sylvari race are minions of Mordremoth. No, it doesn’t revolve around the idea the Pale Tree is the Dragon. It’s more like Glint in my eyes, and the Pale Tree is a redeemed Champion of Mordremoth. So rather than making the Sylvari as minions for the Dragon’s rise, she is trying to separate them from that life. There are a few odd ones, like the Nightmare Court. Who aren’t minions, but just Sylvari who have gone down a sole evil path. Scarlet however broke everything the Pale Tree was doing, and opened herself up to Mordremoth. And now everything she’s doing is working to bring the Dragon to wake.

How that involves The Dredge, Flame Legion, Nightmare Court, or Atherblades? …I honestly don’t know.

Yes this is a very loose and weak theory, but a theory none the less.

Charr Guardians and the Flame Legion.

in Lore

Songarg.3657

Could a charr Guardian fill the role of a Shaman in the Flame Legion? I know the Guardians use magic, and they are a evolution of the monks/paragons from GW1. But they are more focused around melee then the other scholar classes that would make up a Shaman in the Flame Legion. Yet looking back at GW1: Monks, Elementalist, Mesmers, and Necromancers seemed to fit into the Shaman caste role.

So with 3/4 still around, I’m wondering if 4/4 isn’t still true to them?

While I can see the point the OP is making about charr ears and the female voice… I rather enjoy the female charr voice. It’s just refreshing seeing a beastly like race with a “normal” voice for once. I don’t know, I guess I see it as steryotype for a beast race to have raspy voices, or simple ideas of hunt and prey. Granted, the latter is rare for the most part.

Still thats just my take on it.

While I would love different voice options, I think the best we’ll ever get if we do get somthing is simple pitch, tone, depth, ect,(I know little about sound editing)

I agree though, some of the voices in this game are terrible (Human Male) and some or amazing (Female Sylvari). Yet to even add somthing like 4 different voices for each race/gender (4 because the creation system takes notes from Aion’s) would mean hiring 30 new VA’s to go through the personal story and any future X-pacs with the other Core VAer’s. Thats alot of money, and even though I didn’t help make the game, the cost makes me cringe too lol.

A Magic theory-craft

in Lore

Posted by: Songarg.3657

Songarg.3657

part 2

Why type up all that? So perhaps the four core professions aren’t 100% guided by the schools. What is the point? Well, the point is it opens up more flexibility in lore.

The Bloodstones imho are both a blessing and a curse. A blessing in that magic has to follow rules, and can’t just be talked off as the “Wild Card” like it is in other fantasy. A curse in that the same rules can curb creativity if you want to RP with it. Yet, with this idea, some flexibility is open up.

Still, this is all just a theory-craft, nothing here is proven. It’s just the ideas of a (slightly) rabid Guild Wars lore fan. But what do you think? Does this sound like a valid idea? Or not? I would like to hear from other lore fans of the game, negative and positive critics are in fact welcome. However, I would ask if you want to put down pure negative criticism to everything I have to say, you follow up with a constructive idea for reconstructing my theory.

Thank you for hearing me out.

A Magic theory-craft

in Lore

Posted by: Songarg.3657

Songarg.3657

Now, I’m sure you all know the lore of the Bloodstones. Preventing everyone from using all magic and splitting it into the schools of Destruction, Preservation, Aggression, and Denial. However, I have been thinking, and looking over GW2 wiki allot. And an idea just came to me: What if the magic we as the “Heroic Professions” can use is not just tied to the schools?

So what am I saying? Of course not all the magic is tied to the four schools. Ritualist, Paragon, Dervish, and Ranger are more divine/worship magic, while Signet Magic is something any average joe can use. It’s just the four core professions of Elementals, Necromancer, Monk (Guardian), and Mesmer. Really though? Is everything based off the classes bound to the schools? I don’t think so. I think only some of the magic the four core professions use is bound to the school.

Necromancer

We traditionally tie it and all its skills to the Aggression school of magic, yet on the wiki it’s stated that Death Magic and Blood Magic is powered by blood and not magical essence. This makes sense in my mind, as if we remove Life Stealing and Summoning the Dead from the school. What we have is Curses, Soul Stealing, and Spite as just pure shadow power. With the three others remaining, they fit nicely into Aggression as a magic. You hate someone to the whole point you wish absolute horror be sent upon them! Curses to bubble their flesh, shadow magic born from pure spite to rip their soul, and then the final cherry, that same soul denied a peaceful rest. Basically, Aggression is hatred itself given power and form thanks to magic. The signature powers of a Necromancer just come from the rituals introduced by Grenth/a primitive form of RItualist magic/another school introduced by the Seers/Mursaat.

Elementalist

The iconic magic user, master of Destruction magic. A magic that forces the very elements themselves to rain down fury! ….So where does Energy Storage/Arcana come from? How does something that is only for buffing ones insight or elemental power fit into Destruction? I think it doesn’t. I think the powers from Arcana are just pure unbound magic. Or the very same magic that the Elder Dragons feed upon. It’s magic that has yet to be formed into a power, and thus bound by a school. The catch is though this magic is very general in its application. It can’t mix minds as Denial, it can’t steal souls as Aggression, it can’t heal as preservation, and it can’t (until the elementalist will so) unleash Elemental fury as Destruction. The point behind this magic is just a general source of magic to understand. So the elementalist knows the first form and the last form of the magic they control. And can better unleakittens application.

Mesmer

Most of the mesmers skills fall under Denial, or the mixing of minds to your will. Except a few things do seem a tad off. Like the GW2 skill of blink, what? Why would a mixer of minds need a short range teleport? And how does that fit into the mind? Well, much like my theory about the elementalist, it’s just pure magic yet to form into a school. In fact, you could apply this to any of the mesmer skills that don’t seem to mix and twist the mind. It’s just a buffer skill to help the mesmer understand where the magic comes from, and how it starts out and ends as a spell.

Monk (Guardian)

And now preservation, the monk, the guardian, the healzplz! ( :P ). With this one, why does the magic have damaging attacks? If it’s here to preserve and keep alive, why does it also harm? Well, this one might be a little tricky. Back when this magic was the Monk from GW1, it was considered prayers. I think the only real prayers was for damaging magic from the god Balthazar. SO effectively, the Monk was half Divine and half Magic User. It used the school of preservation mostly, but when things got tough called on the god of war to destroy foes. Now flash forward 250 years, the gods are gone, what is giving preservation magic its hurting power? I think it is much like the Mesmer and Elementals: Pure magic. Or to be more exact, magic that is half way pure and half way into the school. So while it holds the look and aspects of Preservation Magic, it can still deal damage and harm like pure magic. Basically, since it’s half and half, it can bounce between healing and hurting.

GW1’s skill system would be amazing! Twin professions, skill hunting, ect. Yes, I know, I know. I too would not wish to be the unlucky sap that had to balance GW1 for it’s 8 year lifespan. However, as many have comented. It gave GW1 depth, and made it interesting.

Also, GW1’s separation of some PvE and PvP skills. This by far had to be the one thing that I gave endless Kudos to GW1 over other MMO’s. It irks me to no end when a skill that was useful in PvE is nerfed because in PvP it was to powerful.

Songarg.3657

RL, wow, now that IS a popular game. Even beating WoW by 5,990,500,000 players. Yet, I have a few gripes with it….

RL is stingy about exploration. Because dumb guilds puts things like “Private Property” settings on too many areas! Not to mention the gold it costs to get a mount. And flying, oh boy, a flying mount is insane when it comes to costs! And don’t get me started on NPC flying, that stuff was nerfed into the ground. Used to be a fun experiance to use the NPC flying service, HP/MP restore, Rested XP, all worth the gold costs. Now it’s just a borning 3 hour trip with a level 2 player kicking at the seat….

RL combat is confusing. I don’t even see my HP and Mana/Energy bar. Speaking of Combat, I know only a select few classes have been OP for the longest time, but why can’t I roll a Mage?!? I tried to, oh I did. But then got tossed into this instanced room with a NPC asking me “How does that make you feel?” I think it’s a concpiracy, all the top ranked Guilds don’t want people to use Magic classes and dethrone there rankings.

Though, there are a few good things about the game. Recent patches like the Penecillian one eased up on how Permadeath works. You can also play mini games of other MMO’s in your Home Instance.

((….GAMECEPTION!))

I have never seen anyone being anything but cordial on my server, come to Aurora Glade, we have forums <3

:) Well thank you, however my home server (Tarnished Coast) is really nice as well, most of the people I see ingame are fine. It’s only when going Offline to other sites things turn into what I described, especialy You Tube. Though, considering it is You Tube, I really shouldn’t be surprised by that.

The majority of people(this is why you see the negativity on the internet) had a lot of hope for this game and it let them down pretty badly. That is why you see this. You also see the typical sycophants wherever you go because that’s the nature of really anything.

Yes, I have seen that. They even like quoting the MMO manifesto. Now, don’t get me wrong, alot of people have good reasons for hating this game. Yet, they use the “Fanboys did it first” claim to go everywhere and tell people they are idiots for playing GW2. Then defenders of GW2 do the very same to them and there games.

This is one of the moments where ‘Fight Fire with Fire.’ doesn’t work… it just causes more people then the fighters to get burned.

Why does it seem like where ever I go, typing in Guild Wars 2 opens me to a Warzone. Fans attacking haters, haters attacking fans, normal people getting attacked in the crossfire.

People, people. Can’t we all just get along?

I don’t think I have ever seen such hatred being exchanged over a MMO. It’s just a game, people have fun with games. Sometimes opinions won’t match up, but calling someone a Expletive and then saying you want them to hurt for hating/liking this game, that sounds like cyber bullying.

What started all this? According to the Haters it was the “Fanboys” doing it to other MMOers during GW2’s development, and they are just giving it back. According to the fans it’s because the Haters are scared of GW2’s power and don’t want it to “Crush” there MMO. Now, I don’t know what side is true, but both sound foolish to me.

So why am I putting up a post like this? Why should I care? With any MMO there will be people who disagree, and can become violent over opinions. Well, because while on You Tube today, a comment caught my eye. It was by a Environmental designer named Josh Foremen. He thanking the Video maker for his complement about the games environment style. Then out of nowhere, someone comments to him about how he’s wrong and shouldn’t talk. Josh answers him too, but the guy then follows up with a accusation about Diminishing Returns.

What? When did it come to pass that the game devs should be put in the crossfire??

That is what sparked this post, there just seems to be a unnatural amount of hate being tossed around, just because of this game. Either you love with no critics, you hate it and think it’s the spawn of Satan, or you’re Anet and just loose.

So I repeat: Can’t we all just get along?

Better yet, I feel this expresses it nicely.

And please, I’m not trying to start a war here as well. Let’s litsen to the video and try to put some Civility into our comments.

Please ArenaNet, please add Cantha back to the world of Guild Wars 2. I loved that game, I loved the Assassin class, the massive city, the lore, everything. I’ve even started to have dreams about what Cantha would be like (As well as Elona, but another time.) with 250+ years gone by! Here is one of my Insane ideas for a Xpac plot even! :P

(There is a Too Long; Didn’t Read summery at the bottom.)

Months after Zhitan’s fall, his army crumbles, and the Corsair ships under his command sink. The blockaid to the south is broken. Lions Arch sends out a few brave souls funded by Kryta and the Captians Council to re-discover Tyria. Months pass, and pass, and pass. No ships return, no messages in bottles, nothing. Then, suddenly it’s a foggy morning in Lions Arch, fishermen set out on there boats to catch Thundershrimp and other Sealife for the markets. Then a sight breaks the fog. A large ship, massive in scope, adorned in colors of Crimzion and Gold. It’s sailes raised high with the image of a serpentine dragon flying through the clouds. Soon, the fog breaks, more and more ships appear. The same color patterns, some small, some large, but none equal to the scale of the first ship. The fishermen look upon the fleet in awe, Lions Arch gets wind of this, guards move to awaken Magnus and the other Captians. Humanity is not wiped out, The Dragon Empire survives on. However, the joy is soon halted as the ships stop and make hard port. Cannons pop out of the wooden frames, and suddenly Lions Arch is battered with cannon fire. Confusion rakes the streets, buildings collapse, people eunning in a panic. Whats going on? Why would the Dragon Empire move to attack? Soon, small ships move upon land, droping off warriors, assassins, and archers. They all run in and start slaughtering the non-human citizens of the city, and anyone who protects them. The fighting is long and brutal, the three orders are called in, as well as the Seraph. Eventuly The Lion Guard mobalizes there ships and takes the fight to sea. Soon, Lions Arch gets thew upper hand, they push back the invaders and destrpoy many ships in the Fleet, victory seems imminent, and Prisoners have been taken, maby they can explane why Cantha would be so hasty to attack? Suddenly, the unthinkable happens. As the Dragon Fleet moves back, a wide gap in the fighting forms. Somthing bursts up from under the water, a terrifying roar breaks the commotion, silencing everything. Before the Dragon Empires fleets, a real dragon floats ontop of the water. The beast roars again and the water around him molds into blobus creatures, they swim over and onto the water, attacking the Defenders, while the dragon spreads it’s massive wings and flies into the air, forming a tidle wave and sinking half the Lions Arch ships. It only takes moments for people to realize what the Dragon is, the Deep Sea Dragon. However, it just seems to be focusing on Lions Arch and it’s defenders, not the Dragon Empire? The fighting continues, the Dragon Empires fleet lands more soldiers on the city, and they start fighting alongside the Dragons minions! The battle continues into the night and then even next day, eventuly, the Deep Sea Dragon flees, and the Fleet c ontinues on with it, the Minions die out, and Survivors are captured. PoW’s are interrigated within Lions Arch, and chilling information is revealed: The current Emperor of Cantha has decreed his Empire the saviors of Tyira, he is sickend by how far Humanity has fallen. The Dragon Empire will stop at nothing to reclaim all of Tyria for Humanity, and set the Empire as the global powerhouse. Only then shall the gods return, and bless the world. As the information comes to light, more questions are asked. Most notibly why a Elder Dragon would side with the Empire. The PoW’s only state that it is the will of the Emperor and the gods that controlls the beast. So is this true? Is it true the Dragon Empire found a way to enslave a Elder Dragon to there will, or is it the other way around. And is the Elder Dragon using the Empire to further it’s own primal goals….

TL;DR: Cantha is still alive, and they want to exterminate all the non-humans on Tyria. Even have The Deep Sea Dragon to aid them in this, but is it the Dragon that serves them, or the other way around?

Do Dungeons reset? I was being rather kitten today and decided to wonder into Caudecus Manor on my level 10, see how far I could get. XD Now though, when I do hit the correct level for this place, will it be stuck on Prototype Golem boss until the Story Mode is completed, or is there a way to Reset the Dungeon all together?

E-mail or Moble Authentication?

So, I just recently got back into Guild Wars 2, new account and everything. I was hoping by this time ArenaNet would have a Restoration service for Deleted/Sold items and toons, yet it seems like they are still working on it.

I’m not happy about that, it means there is no safty net to fall into if a Hacker decides to push me. So, the next best thing I can do is look into what is the most secure option for my account then. Email or Moble Authentication?

Already got the Password covered, Unique, not used anywhere else, and 12 charecters long. Just need to know what of the two options uptop are the best choice for the most security.
