Is there a way to request chat logs from private messages between players? It would resolve some conflicts.

I’ve always wondered the same thing honestly. Any why do legendary defenders have such awful armor? As the most op things in the game they should be pimped all to high heaven.

I enjoy those giant three way smc fights too. But not every server has groups to fight like that in every objective we want to defend, nor would I want every single fight to be like that. Nerfing ac’s does nothing to make that happen more regardless.

Taking defended fortified things isn’t supposed to be easy. If you wanna just blob all the things don’t let them get fortified or go after easier things. Wvw isn’t about fights as much as you all want it to be. It’s a capture and defense mode.

I enjoy fights, but it’s not what wvw is about.

As a solution however they do need to make an arena or special map for fighting like that, not change what is already there to something you want that not everyone does

It might work that way in your server but even if s place is seiged all to hell if you know what you are doing you can take ever last bit of it out. It takes longer yes, but it is supposed to take longer to take defended objectives. If you don’t know how to counter seige then you don’t deserve to take the objective

I don’t sit in towers with 30 people waiting to ac a group of 5 to death and laugh at them. That is silly. But if 20 people attack a tower and I’m the only one in there I shouldn’t get denied loot for not running out there and killing them. U can’t go to the outnumbered buff either because I could have a 50 man group attacking bay while I defend the tower alone. U can’t deny everyone loot because of the actions of some people who abuse seige

If ac’s stop you then treb or cata. There are a dozen ways to take most objectives, many of which can’t be stopped by ac’s

Not every character or class can use ranged weapons as a viable option. I run mostly all melee builds on my wvw toons. Some characters don’t do damage at all, and can’t defend without seige. They shouldn’t be punished while people who pew pew from walls get buffed

You want to make it so people get less loot for defending with seige that is intended for defending things. That makes no sense.

If they didn’t want people to die by ac’s they wouldn’t put them in the game. Wvw is not about killing enemy zergs in open field fights. You can make fun of people who use ac’s all you want to kill zergs but that is their intended purpose. Wvw isn’t a Zerg vs Zerg game mode. It is a capture and defense mode. I do enjoy open field fights but they aren’t going to change loot systems because you don’t like being killed by seige

It is insane that this thread is even this long. If you don’t like to wvw, fine. Come in to wvw and do a few easy dailies and leave. You might not be able to cap a tower or a keep but you can kill a vet creature and some yaks and take a camp. Just start this like you do any other part of a legendary and only take it a little at a time. There’s nothing stopping you from popping in to do this once a day for 10 minutes between rounds of grinding t6 mats from map bonuses. It’s not that big of a deal

If you think badges of honor are useless you are wrong there too. Buy badges of tribute and use the money to buy some coins and mats you also need for the legendary. If you save the gift of battle as the one final thing to make your legendary that’s your own fault.

I’ve made a lot of legendaries and it’s not something you rush in a day regardless. Do it at the same time as all the rest of it like sane people do.

Yeah idk what they did to mortars in this patch but I had 33 stacks of burn on me from one of them

I haven’t been a regular forum poster for very long, but I noticed one thing that bothers me

People from the upper tiers tend to hijack a vast number of posts on here and use them to insult eachother, which very quickly leads to them dying.

Instead of ruining everyone’s posts can you just make different ones? Your insults bury actual problems, and most of us don’t care

I know for a fact that not all kyro members are on dr. There is one on dh who likes to rep kyro and make fun of dark jean

My point is you are judging based on a couple days in which numbers are declining rapidly. Come back to the forum with the numbers in 2 weeks and let’s see the difference

there are still good people on dh, and for them I will not explain what happened between our two servers because if I did there would be no way for dh to ever find people again.

I will say in the end though they are quick to blame lack of numbers for all their problems.

In regards to the matchup however it is too early to assume that the quad server will stay massive because everyone with an alt account on one of those servers is logging in to see what it’s like. Since reset night the numbers have already dropped massively. The tri server got run over by the same giant mobs that dh/eBay did, but we kept playing long enough to watch their numbers slowly level out.

they are in this tier because cd was previously a guest server with no score and had to start at the bottom. They will move up I’m sure but they had to start at the bottom

The majority of the posters upset about this pairing are from darkhaven/eBay. Both of these servers were in t4 already. The other two server groups fighting in t4 have people who were in different tiers before this week, but the ones who are upset were.

As much as I rip on dh though, really it is eBay who got the short end of the stick here. They did great with hod at the top of t4. They played very well and had a lot of good fights, but then they got stuck in last place as a guest to a dead server

Most of t4 enjoys the matchup. Even with the quad server mowing things over. The fights are way better and I don’t know why they are complaining about numbers because before the switch the number differences were far worse. The quad server is still smaller than the hod/eb server

I agree. eBay should have been the hosts this week. It is a shame they are not

I’m on FC and we are actually enjoying this matchup. Yes the quad server usually has more people but there are tons of fights that come in all different sizes. Yes dh is still losing, but dh was losing before because the fc/dh pairing had even fewer than the eBay/dh pairing against enemies with more people than even the quad team. eBay is the largest single server in this match. If they tacked on a third server to you guys it would be unfair as well. DH will have to accept they have to actually have enough people to help their “guest” server and not be carried by them.

The mobs of the quad server will fade in time, but you can’t blame the numbers for everything like you did with fc too.

Server pairings are for 2 months

It went over heads because higher tiers like to think we just pvd all the gates down and spam one in fights. Cuz we can’t know all the things they do of course :o

Dark Jean, much of dr seems to like being paired with mag. You are not the spokesperson for dr.

So far the new pairings have been pretty decent in t4. The 4 server group seems much larger but much of it I think is from people wondering what it would be like to have 4 servers on one team. This is a def step in the right direction

It’s nice to know that no one in those tiers knows how to throw proper seige because you followed a few people who didn’t. ditch that holier than thou attitude and people might take your advice.

It is true that some people don’t place seige properly, but many of us do. just because you are from a higher tier does not make you a better player

I think fc and sos would work nicely together

You can still hide in smc. It became tiring hunting for mesmers all the time in keeps but you can still do it in towers and smc.

Why does every post have to turn into t1 people insulting eachother. Make your own post for that and let other people talk about other things.

I’m glad you get along with the server you are on now, but your relationship with them will be severed on the 24th. The bottom tier is just going to be passed around like a cheap bottle of whiskey

I think that the surveys are imbalanced for a different reason. In regards to the linking you are asking every player to vote as a giant group rather than as a one server. From the giant mass you are basicly handing the votes so that the servers with the most people win. I think every server needs a Seperate vote on this and you base it on how many servers are happy rather than hoe many players. It’s not fair that the smaller servers don’t get a voice because we are smaller

It is great and all that some servers manage to get along well with eachother, but not all of us do. Fc is a low population server that was paired with dh, who now has a population even smaller than fc’s. The two of us never got along to begin with but as it is now dh does not have enough people to even be a host server anymore and needs to be tacked on to a real host server.

I have said this many times, this server link is destroying many servers, even though those were the servers this whole thing was supposed to help. If anet really cared about the smaller servers they would have either left things alone or only merged the bottom tiers instead of completely cutting the numbers in half.

I think their “balance” was well intended, but the top tier servers made the poll useless because it made the voices of the bottom ones unheard since they by definition don’t have as many people. The polls make it obvious they want to please the top tier servers more than the smaller ones.

It is possible they will hold another poll about the linking at some point but the votes are stacked since the majority of players are in the upper tiers. We deserve voices too. We may make the top servers a tad happier but they make us completely miserable and once we swap servers this Friday it will be more obvious and maybe they will listen

Speedy yaks doesn’t cost so much because of slivers. I have about 1k of those in my bank. They are worthless.

But it is a very expensive upgrade because of the price of flax fibers. For that one you need 24 of them!

Anet needs to make wvw upgrades take less flax fibers because now they are one of the most expensive things we have to scribe

This may come as a shock to some of you, but many of us actually don’t want to be on high tier servers :0. Crazy I know. The majority of the lower servers stuck with the higher ones dislike the linking a great deal.

Unfortunately the tier stacking got so bad they figured they would just stick us all together so all the servers are giant, which some of you may be shocked to hear I find quite awful. All these problems came from people forcing themselves into full servers and you guys are already complaining you can’t do it anymore.

It sucks that you guys got seperated from your guilds but it is this exact thing that put wvw in the state that it is in. Even if they are locked they shouldn’t re open because at this rate the stacking will get so bad there will only be two tiers left. Top tier and bottom tier.

Please leave the gift of battle rage out of this. Is is an entirely different issue with hundreds of posts to its name already.

Wvw does need a legendary back piece in the name of fairness. The buff in rewards has been great and they did give us SOME wvw exclusive gear, but it isn’t nearly as shiny.

I really want to be able to have tags with the guild logo on them. You would be able to know which guild is where without knowing every alt of every single of their commanders. I know many people who would pay a hefty amount for that

I’ve never understood why they did this, but we need to be able to change the color of our tags without dropping squad.

This happens a lot, a tag will move from one bl to another and the bl they moved to already has a commander with the same tag color and the only way to change it is for the commander to drop squad, change it, and rejoin.

It isn’t that this is a difficult process, but when you are rushing to save a keep you can’t afford to slow down that much. Why can’t we just change it?

Dh is still paired with fc. But 90% of dh left the server

If people would stop stacking higher tier servers because they win more we wouldn’t be in this mess at all

Tyler himself said servers are not locked. They are literally full. I’ve had no problem transferring people to my server and they aren’t going to lock half the servers without locking the other half

If they turned wvw into eotm that would be the end of gw for me as it would most wvw players.

When they decided to make na only 4 tiers there is pretty much no room to move up or down in ranks honestly. They intended to make things more interesting but with only 4 tiers we will fight the same people every week for 2 months at a time

I know someone with a bunch of pearls ready to go for that

I think this would solve a good number of the server identity issues and make gameplay easier overall. If two enemy zergs are fighting they won’t just be a giant mass of red names.

The server colored names will have to be brighter neon colors to not look like the other typical name text

It will be very nice to have another server on our side like the rest of you :p
