Every forum has some sort of post like this. How are people making reliable judgements on the class in ither modes besides pvp? This class brings amazing visuals along with pve power if perma quickness. Whivh could replace a mesmer in high lvl content. Firebrand bas great aegis application. You cant really tell what the dps will be like due to pvp gear but i was able to keep perma quickness with vipers and just 15% boon duration. The tomea are fine. With quickness the cast times are pretty much gone so it doesnt matter to much. I do not think this will be good in spvp. I do believe it will be great in wvw. But only time will tell. People have been making negative judgements to quick.

If your doing t4 fractals and you dont k ow how to play your class, then dont do t4 fractals. We dont like when fractals take more than an hour. I personally like dps meters. I get to measure my dps. Im not the best player. But when im in a group with pugs ill be hitting 5 more then the next person. The lowest 2 usually sit around 3k. Tbis slows fractals down so much. Yeah you can make the argument that i should play with a static. Which i do usually. But that doesnt change the fact that if u do t4s daily your not doing them for the experience of doing them. The longer it take the less rewarding it becomes. Its basically “get gud” , but why not improve yourself and get the tedious things done faster?

Just pay the $40 and move on. If you enjoy the game who cares. If they shaved off ten dollars would you feel accomplished? It is not a big deal friendo.

Move the GoB to somewhere else because u dont know how to progress reward tracks? Alright

You just seem mad to be mad. If you have map awareness you can tell that a thief is going to +1 you. Once they decap what do u think their next plan is? Power thief hasn’t changed in a while. If your complaining about it I’d say its just out of salt over it actually being “OP”.

Bringing 2 Heralds is even more of a meme than just 1 lol

If there is ever an easier mode to raids you shouldnt be able to get Legendart Insights. Which means no legendary armor. People want easier raids with the same reward…. maybe 1 LI every wing that is completed in “easy mode”?

He has the same merchant symbol as all the other Unbound magic merchants in the lws3 maps. The first area u start in in Mons is where he is.

So 6% mivespeed that would be canceled out by any swiftness? Uhm… why add any stats to it? Aha

It is not a pvp based glitch. I was just trying to get on and do my normal stuff and I am crashing everytime I select a character. Been happening since patch.

The argument that people use. Why is anet not balanving the game around the base game. Why is it i need the expansion to do x thing. It is an MMO. It evolves with expansions. If you are invested in an MMO you buy the evolved product. Why would any company take a step back and worry about something that isnt for the better. Buying HOT and working on getting elite specs/the armor you need is the way to solve it. You need to evolve with the game. And because swamp was changed means your disappointed? So anet failed because you dont know the boss mechanics? Depending on the class. You really dont need HOT to do fractals. Warrior, Engi, and maybe even gaurdian. Of course the elite specs and new stats from HOT make other classes viable…

Last year we got those Patch notes as the prank? If im not mistaken warriors hit 100 blades 100 times per cast. :p

Of course an infusion or armor would be cool but that npc has been there for how long? The title coming from that character would be pretty dank. Chronicle Mistwalker.
Most of the mist titles come from wvw even though Fractals of the MISTS is a thing.

So Fractals of the Mists is the main thing I do in Gw2 and there is a lack of cool titles compared to other modes. The The other day I noticed the Npc named “Chronicle Mistwalker” and then I wondered why this wasn’t a thing! Have it tied to the amount if fractals you’ve done or something with new content. I hope you consider it!

To wear 2 of the same ring u will need to infuse one. Then they are classified as different. But for accessories you will need 2 different ones.

I dont think you can. I rhino it is in the same realm of rings/accessories. There are many ascended backipices u can get in the game now though. Amd they dont cost any gold like in the new maps.

Your doing story quest but dont care about the story. Therefor it is bad? Man this is gonna be a fun thread.

This is also coming from a player who hasnt killed a raid boss. Mostly out of being to lazy to do them more. I just stick to faceroll t4 fractals for now.

There is a reason for meta builds. People want to get raids done fast. Not wait around for someone who has a terrible build/arnor set. Most of these people arent being snobs. Its usually soneone being to sensetive. This content just requires certain things. (people have done it in all greens and what not but those are thr same people who make the meta builds so id say they are above average) the average player who does raids just wants to get them done with as little pain as possible.

In a raid group the buffs spill over to the next people after 5 are buffed already. So if 5 people hit might cap the leftover might skulls over to the rest of the party correct?

As for the topic, population topics are always tricky. It can be a momentary thing, it could be a general trend. It’s not possible to say from just a weekend’s play.

Clearly there are people playing and it’s not a problem generally to find some groups for meta events via the gf at least but outside those meta events I can’t say I run into a lot of people.

For me that’s fine. I’d rather they are all doing events and raids where I am not. The only downside is that mobs are harder to kill in the higher level areas when you are by yourself.

But considering how the server system works on a map by map basis with instances, it really is difficult to say anything sensible about population.

Not to sound to rude buuut if u know how gw2 works at all then u know that eaxh map has different maps for the overflow and some maps that are full of activity. And by looking at how u think octovine is vacant all thetime you clearly dont know that octo is the most participated event right now with multi loot being a thing. There are like 6-10 full maps of people doing it. U are in an overflow map. Lfg is a thing. Use it before a meta event not during. I just dont understand how any gw2 player doesnt understand how gw2 maps work… Sorry. Got a little more rude as it went on. Lol

I would raid if the community did not judge your gear & skill level, for those of us who have never raided we need to learn. I have tried for months to get into a raid but get kicked out if I don’t have the right gear or know the run. I play GW2 because I love this game & it’s predecessor GW. I also hate that part of the awesome story line is locked behind the new raid & that the rest of us never get to see it unless we raid or watch it on youtube! I have a life & real world stuff so I play when I can, solo people should be able to do a scaled down version of the raid with the help of the story npc’s like we did in GW! Just my two cents! I still love the game but wish it were easier to raid without all the judgement. I play for fun & not competition! Peace!

Well one of the first things u need TO know for a raid is your class/gear u need to run so if u dont have that than your a step behind

In general condi is best for higher tier fractals. And having !Bleed stacks melts any boss. Id take 5 co di reapers iver any other classs any day lol

Thief is pretty much countered by a decent gaurd. But if u do play agaisnt one. Bait out the traps. If hes running full traps your jobshould be easy . dont be like someone i fought when hot furst came out. They were running d/d ele and using the gap close in air to get to me on point and hey he popped every trap and got one shotted then started complaining. All about baiting it out. Gaurd is like a gs warrior. U kn ow when stuff is coming

Gaurdians are not op. Stop the whining and just learn to play against one. You will get stomped by them every now and then but by the looks of u not knowing that gaurd doesnt run reflects in pvp ill just keep it at a l2p issue. Right now id say the classes are as balanced as they have been in the past few seasons.

I play revenant/gaurd in pvp. Im low emerald right now (saph last season and can get higher if i wanted to commit the time) but its so easy to counter a gaurdian. The class is good. Just like ithers. If your dying to a gaurd with more than the 2 traps that are the 2 meta traps than you my friend need to learn to dodge. The traps make a sound when they are dropped and if a Baird is sitting oN A point YOU KNOW THERE IS TRAPS THERE. just learn to dodge. Not that hard

The laptop i posted was 800 give or take a bit. I have 1800 hours playing on settings barely above those terrible standard grey charaxter models. So at this point anything is an improvement. I will probably get a colling pad for the laptop just so it stays a bit cooler. Also the memory is upgradeable in this laptop. So i will proba ly upgrade as i see fit. I will have to seeing as i can also play other games now. Hell if i get good fps at medium setting with good shaders ill be a happy camper. Thabks for the reply friendos! ????

- i was looking to buy this laptop because its in my budget and i researched it a bit and the posotives about it are better than the negatives. I was wondering if anyone with computer knowledge could tell me how good this one will run our beloved gw2. In a pve sense. The sybol created by hammer is still the best. You say the other symols are overtuned but what about the rest of the class? The rest or gaurdian is a bloddy mess. Retal is the most useless boon in thegame yet half our traits give it. So why complain about these so called “overtuned” symbols and actually post balance that is deserved

Hell yeah! I was hoping the exalted backpiece would have longer tendrils coming off of it. Ive always wanted a mursaat backpiece

Ehh. Fractals were designed for someone who already have had made acsended gear. Its also not supposed to be a main way of getting ascended armor. From what ive seen the random dropsof them are somehwat frequent. And the gold per day from t4 fractals is great if u do them quickly. Also if your talking prostines it would have to be a lot more pristines. Like 500 or 400 for a chest piece then no less than 200 pristines for the rest of the pieces.

Look at guides. Most of them are easy once you have studied the guides. Only a few are near impossible for most people.

They just need to either rework retaliation or scrap it our of most of our trait lines. It serves no use even in pvp it doesnt do anything. The only time ive seen it do something was when your lvling from 1-80. Retaliation is a good concept but useless the way it is now

Im not a fan if hammer buy im also not a fan of being selfish when playing in a group. In high lvl fractals the almost perna protection saves your kitten . Sword sybols fury is sort of pointless in a group since fury comes easy. And about the same damage as hammer just makes hammer the better option. (retal doesnt matter because if your doing t4 fractals with no boon rip your already messing up.) i want other weapons to be good in group content, i really do but its just a matterof not cripling your party. And on a side not. Scepter is good dps but is probably only useful asyour main weapon in very specific situations. No real reason to use bow in pve any.ore it seems though. So maybe not so specific lol.

Well if your doing t4 fractals and have no boon rip your comp sucks. I main gaurd and do t4s every day and there is always 1-2 condo necros or a chrono. So its never an issue. Protection is good and gaurd damage is good. Of course the best comp it like all condo necros but gaurd is fine. Run hammer and what ever secondary u want that isnt bow since scepter is just better

Just make some friends. Your tier problem is solved. And they can carry u through most t4s if needed xD

How about instead of crafting your gear you can get it from an unlimited gear grind from those infernal things called raids. I onow its hard to sit around for 30 minutes to craft 1-500 then make a set in 5 minutes (excluding gold farming time) but cmon. If the game just handed you gear/ skins you would make this thread to complain about no effort to get said armor because thats how forum complainers work

If u dont want to run ps you can run Arms but seeing as your just adding personal damage it makes your groups overall damage plummit. Going to arms from ps doeant change your gameplay though. So no real reason to inless u have maybe 2 wars in a pug group for frac/dungeons

Well… Necro is not is top tier for raiding/ fractals. All u need in high lvl fractals are necros and maybe one support class. And in raids they are great condi damage so i dont know where u get the rubish damage from

It is supposed to be that way… Technically to get the backpiece u need to get your personal reward lvl to 100 to access it but like most people we take the easy way and get an “opener” i have ad infinitum but personally i think you shouldnt have been able to get it witbout having to do every fractal 1-100 which means all the fractal scale achievements done. Would have made much more sense to do it that way.

Ps is best for group play. Condi has fallen off but isnt terrible. But u can switch off of PS and get arms for more personal damage

Are u talking an ascended box drop? Because u get to select the armor class when u open the box. If it was an exotic drop. Exotic drops are not very expensive. As in crafting them doesnt break the bank or even buying em off the tp.

The raids are something you achieve. They arent dungeons where you dont feel like u have accomplished much. All this talk of making lower tier raids is just gonna bring this game down. Raids are something to strive for. Its not like you are goi gto miss story. You can read wikis and watch lore vids. It would also just make more elitism come into play. So ehh on the idea of any tiers besides a harder raid option. This is coming from guy who doesnt raid much so not a ton of bias here.

Just make aegis stack up to 3 or 4 and fix gaurdians useless traitlines. Oh how i miss playing gaurdian

Ita a raid. It was our in the game to be hard content. If u cant do hard content then dont do it. Sorry? Its not that hard to actually learn the raids or to find a teaching guild or group. Im sorry if your mmo isnt minecraft lvl in terms of difficulty. This game is beyond catered to casual players hit some “better” players wanted “hard” content and that is what they got. These posts are getting annoying id like to say

Raids arent supposed to be easy to get into. Like ANY contentthere willbe more exp people and newer people. Just find a raid teaching guild. Go to the players helping players forum. You will find one. Took me about ten minutes to find a teaching guild.

Oh but ele can have upwards of 40k dps in a good situation. High risk high reward. Git gud as the cool kids say lol
