I made a super manly mesmer early on.
Then pink purple butterflies started exploding out of him when I played.
I rerolled as a chick and I think it was a solid choice.
Here’s some flax farming locations if you wanted flax: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Flax
The amount of flax you could buy with 600 gold though…that’d be enough for 10 lifetimes.
A small tweak to the salvage rates of hardened leather and none of this would be an issue really.
It’s crazy that thick leather is vendor priced and hardened is so out of balance with cloth.
ESO set up their system because reaching the max level took a really long time and people just got sick of the grind.
Might or might not be a good system for GW2 but it’s pretty unlikely to happen.
Did you link razer to the 64-bit client or the launcher itself?
I linked a profile to the 64 bit client and so far so good.
It’s kittens. And by that, you guys know I really mean… kittens.
Nah, play what seems fun to you and don’t worry about what anyone says.
Class balance changes from time to time and what’s best today may not be best in a few months. So you may reach 80 and then a month later the character you really wanted to play anyway might be in a great place. It’s also worth noting that you receive boosts for experience granting free levels to characters so you can level up an alt with very little effort.
This is a great site to give you an idea of the best current character builds.
I spend a good bit of time messing around in with the TP and learning what I can craft for money. Getting a feel for the economy helps when you want to make legendary weapons/ascended gear. (if you even want to)
Mandatory reading. Especially the part about suddenly claiming yourself as group leader among strangers.
I’m having fun too. Sometimes it’s nice to just see the game freshened up a bit.
Progression is much more interesting now.
This is great news. Such a good change. Being overpowered was so boring.

Sweet, thanks. This fixed my problem. I’ve connected a million times before but today it wouldn’t work.
This makes a lot of sense. Especially in PVP where I’m always going from build to build.
I have to agree with you there. GW2’s writing and characters aren’t good for a mature audience. Hell, even an audience of 14+ probably would like darker, richer, smarter characters.
This won’t cause a slow death for GW2 though. This just means someday something will come along that beats it.
I’m not sure how long they will be able to sustain this though. Their Achilles heel is a AAA MMO targeted to a mature audience. The Disney stuff might be tolerable for awhile but; it’ll get dumped really fast. Your average MMO gamers is over 30 and is demanding mature content.
For better or worse, I really enjoy flipping items. It’s fun to buy and sell items for a profit.
Morally, I guess it’s kinda like people trading stocks on Wall Street. I see an item that I think is undervalued and sell it for a price I think people will pay. There’s definitely some (small) risk.
If flipping items increases or decreases the prices, that either helps the buyer or sellers in the market. I don’t think it hurts anyone though.
More skills and weapons would make the game better.
Right now things get a little stale as in the time it takes to get from 1 to 80.
We need new weapon skills more than we need new classes for sure.
I wouldn’t mind new classes though. The whole “no trinity” thing means adding new classes won’t screw things up like it does in other games.
Hmm, I don’t think it would be a bad thing, but I am more interested in the opposite sollution: Allow you to cast single-target skills on mouse-over (point and press keybind, without ever clicking with mouse)
Nurvus, if you don’t have target selected and you hit a skill, it will target whatever you’re facing. (You probably knew that.) Not exactly what you’re looking for but close.
Wouldn’t it be nice if ground targeting spells could be cast on your target without the need to aim them with the mouse?
Obviously, that’s not something people want to happen ALL the time. (Mark Necro, for example.)
However, I never aim these spells while mouse-looking. (And I imagine you don’t either. It’s too awkward.)
So why not include an option for these spells to aim for your target automatically ONLY while mouse-looking?
This would let players cast these spells quickly at their targets when they want to, and ground target normally when they don’t.
Wouldn’t that be nice? And way better?
Agreed. Also need a button you can just click instead of a drop down menu.

Unless I missed something, it seems like you have walk up to them just to see where they go.
Remember guys, the game just launched. The elementalist of today could be very different from the elementalist of tomorrow.
Try downloading “Game Booster.” It disables programs that run in the background temporarily so games run better. (This helped me just a little.)
You could also plug a flash drive into your computer and use “ready boost.” (Not sure how much it will help but it won’t hurt.)
Good to hear things seem mostly balanced then.
Curious what everyone thinks is the most powerful/least powerful class in PvP.
