from my understanding of the other guys reply, you get 2 skins with the purchase one left and one right and each can be applied to one helmet. so…no you can only wear one side as you can only wear one helmet

I’m planning on changing my warriors race and i was wondering if there was still an issue with the trans splitters when it comes to ascended armor?

for those that don’t know i believe the issue is that if you have transmuted a skin over your ascended armor then transmute it to a white to transfer, when you split it you will get the skin with exotic stats and the white armor, thus losing your ascended stats

is this still a problem?

or will i have to split the ascended piece from the exotic skin, than put the ascended onto a white to be able to split it and receive the ascended stats after the transfer?

there is no intrinsic stat gain from leveling as far as i know.

From the wiki:

“Primary attributes grow with character level, starting with 24 in each at level 1. Each level up through level 9 grants 4 points to each attribute; levels 10–19 grant 6 points each; 20–29, 8 points; … 70–79, 18 points; 80, 20 points. "

:D u win this round, might as well do the naked challenge then since the majority of stats will still come from gear

its simple…only open your trait line to the equivalent of the level gain you want….only use the gear and weps from that level.

they will not let anyone keep the skin as is, as for the refund it will probably be handled the same as the snowflake? (i think thats what is was) incident that they gave people a time frame to delete their items. they will probably send our trans splitters, give a week or so for people to use em and delete the skins, if not they will delete/put a generic 80 white armor look for the skinned items themselves regardless of what they are attached too

I am wanting to set up a guild dedicated to duelers and fight enthusiasts who want an easy way to find 1v1 fights

The guild Bronze Fight Club [DUEL] has been commissioned to this end.

There is a rank for each of the 9 servers in order to keep it relevant to the bronze league in it’s entirety, with a recruiter rank for those from each server who are versed in setting up and getting people to participate in fight nights.

With each server being its own rank, this circumvents the need to create a new group every time the match ups switch.

There is no leader, there is no favoritism, there is only those with the will to fight.

What i am looking for to start out this group of dueling enthusiasts is, for now, at least one recruiter, more are welcome, from each server to come forward in order to start building the population up.

As the recruiter rank has to be defaulted to leader(only 10 ranks per guild, 9 being taken by the servers) i would like those who want to be a recruiter to have been a part of setting up fight nights previously on their respective servers in order to facilitate a fast build up of interested parties.

1v1s could easily be found throughout the day by setting your availability to “away” in order to designate you are interested in finding someone to fight.

you could sort the ranks to find members of opposing servers and contact them for a fight without having to rely on having them on your friends list in order to reach them.

a website could be set up, as required to organize larger fight club meet ups, and if we grow large enough to manage member recruitment and capacity.

Here’s the problem, people are jealous and mad as hell at people who easily profit period and this is why we time over time go over this. They try to find some reason people should be banned because they felt it was wrong they made easy money. To say you should be banned because you profited in a open market is funny, if anything the only people who should be punished are the ones who did true wrong doing and exploited and knew they were doing something very wrong. People who seize to take advantage of the market and become a middle man in trading doesn’t deserve to get banned because flipping is completely allowed, if this was so wrong, there should have been a rollback or the patterns should be exchanged for what you paid for them via your TP log book.

Karma people got banned because they were taking advantage of something they KNEW was wrong, a very cheap karma item that sold for a lot. It was so obvious that’s WHY they were doing it to begin with and WHY they got banned.

Snowflake I don’t know much about it, but there was a bug/exploit and last I checked, players who bought cheap items off the TP didn’t get punished lol.

Now this, the exploiters should be perm banned via IP log in(all accounts) but those who came across these and bought them cheap… I don’t know how I can say they did something wrong when ANET didn’t care enough to rollback, exchange them for silver, or disable the blueprints sooner(if possible).

Either way I think it’s silly to say people should be banned for making profit when they are just buying and selling items put into the free market, no matter what’s behind it, if the items shouldn’t exist, ANET should rollback, not punish players for making money (which is completely allowed atm).

If something like this isn’t allowed, a rollback should ALWAYS be done, if not ANET needs to make it CLEAR that anyone who buys a massive amount of an item could get introuble for profiting off a un-intended situation. Until they do that, it’s would be pretty radical to punish people that didn’t do anything out of the norm.

This is WAAAAAY different than seeing Omega blueprints cheap on the TP and buying them, you have no way of knowing who you are buying from. But if you were traded through mail, blueprints from someone who was duping them, then that is a different story.

you think it is okay to purchase a large amount of an item knowing full well it is unreasonably under priced? no one that invested in these did so without understanding something was amiss as it still costs around a gold to craft each one by normal means. you don’t just randomly decide to tp search omega then buy 1000+ of them without knowing the components cost 20+s times 5 to craft it.

Selective ignorance should not work as an excuse/means of getting away scott free.

if you knowingly buy a stolen car and get caught, it gets taken away and you may face legal repercussions. though taken to an extreme, it is the same concept.

That punishment would probably be too harsh for the whiny masses, though i doubt people would openly admit to partaking in this round of exploitation

a good middle ground would be to make all omega golems account bound. people that bought them for use face no problems. those that bought them to flip can still do so via drop trades with no endorsement or protection offered by anet.

no easy profits should be made from trying to abuse this situation. i could easily have purchased several thousand, so don’t think i’m bitter because i missed out. i was just not arrogant in the assumption that i could ride my way up a pile of gold with no trouble whatsoever. Most of the large volume trading occurred after this was brought to light on the forums, evident from the dip to around 15-20s then the subsequent rise to 40-50s+ not long after a post was made on the discussion forum. no one that invested heavily in these is innocent.

Hopefully the punishments aren’t as harsh as they were with the karma exploit or the snowflake(except for the actual dupers…ban them to kitten!!!) and those that tried to get ahead easily learn for next time

You are comparing apples to oranges. The snowflake exploit WAS the process of salvaging.

Buying and selling items due to those price fluctuations was never a problem and is not in this case either. As long as you aren’t doing the duping/exploit yourself you have nothing to worry about.

you have to consider that there was massive exploiting during the trail week. people using free alt accounts to keep theirs clear of any heat. in the case the only viable means is to follow the blueprints.

5% to list then you lose 10% in taxes after it sells. 15% total tax on each and every item sold on tp

sometimes there is a delay between selling and receiving your profit. not saying that is the case, but its worth considering. Also, you are looking at the sales prices and i don’t think you are accounting for the 10% fee. that would drop rodgort to around 52g profit

yes, it will still be legendary status and have the stat changing ability after you use the trrans splitter. that is the exact reason they were introduced

its many tens of thousands around because of the dupe, ive just heard talk in game of several people with between 500-2000.

your example is entirely irrelevant as the problem is the gold aspect, these were duped for profit, not to win in wvw.

to amass the 7500 supplies to build your supposed 50 golem army would take a very long time and most(the majority of servers) aren’t stupid/arrogant enough to resort to that level of overkill. i can pose grossly exaggerated examples too, if you want…

the point of making them bound is to greatly limit the possibility for legitimate profit for those who abused this and wont get banned. if they want to do drop trades in game that is, of course, at their discretion.

Anet should not enable them to sell off their hundreds/thousands of illegitimate items.

I would say this is the most reasonable solution since it allows them to keep what they purchased, without regard to their intention. Those that bought golems to use them scored, and those who bought them to resell for immense profit will be greatly inconvenienced but still be able to make profit if they choose to do so.

just make them bound after the duplication exploit is patched up.

the only ones who won’t like this were those who knew about the bug and didn’t report it, instead deciding to try and make as much money as possible while acting like their hands weren’t dirty.

After all…not one single person could ever have a use for 2000 omega siege golems, that couldn’t be done through the old methods before all blueprints were unbound.

since it would be troublesome to track the flow of all the blueprints between exploiting guild members, friends, alt accounts, etc. this is a clean, simple solution.

ban the obvious dupers and launderers, of course, and remove the potential for ill gotten gains.

you are not allowed to use these forums as a grey market aka it is not okay to attempt to sell/trade any item on this forum….not to mention anet telling you not to sell it in the first place

if you go to fields of ruin, all the crafting stations and bank access are within a 10 second run of each other in the seraph? village in the southwest corner. no one is ever really there so your frame rate would do fine

I love how the people who can’t(won’t) get a legendary are not able to get passed what they believe “legendary” to mean. It is nothing more then a rarity designation, get over yourselves.

Like someone said before, the story of your legendary is what you make it to be. grinding cof is a choice, buying gold is a choice, doing it legitimately is a choice.

If you think it takes to long well then you are some special sort of arrogant and think your time is far more then everyone elses. it takes a massive time commitment whether it be 10 hours a day for 3 months or 2 hours a day for 15 months. Don’t think you deserve something that has taken others a large time commitment within the 30 mins you bother to get off complaining on the forums to play the game.

rng is a kitten, but making money is no where near as hard as the complainers make it to be. hitting up the world bosses can make you a good chunk of change a day, as well as probably finish up your dailies.

i have 2 legendaries, 1 precursor dropped and i purchased the other. it wasn’t cheap, or fast but i got into it well aware of that fact. it was a fund ride and i was able to play facets of the game i would normally ignore. i have less then 7 cof runs under my belt and my only gem purchases have been those infuriating rng boxes(yay free kite).

play the game, save your money, and enjoy the ride. legendaries are only a skin and will never grant you some amazing power

why is the reward for achieving 3500 ap the same as 1500?

while the reward for 2500 is significantly better.

several people have mentioned getting an in game message from anet containing the new food recipe because they bought rich coffers before they had added the recipe to the drop pool.

will everyone who purchased the coffers get this? or did you have to purchase a certain amount of them?

i searched and couldn’t find another thread about this

i did specify they have full guild privileges(all permissions are checked), i made them the master rank(same as me)

so i transferred servers and forgot to take my stuff out of my guild bank

i invited a freind to my guild on the old server to transfer stuff but they say when they try to move things in the bank everything is greyed out. they DO have full guild privileges, so its not that

as such, im wondering if there is a cool down period for new receruits to a guild to be able to access its bank

someone in LA linked an item that let you enter there, i think they got it from black lion chests

so effectively….you are making it that killing the boss gets you the rare…not the chest itself…and reverting the chest back to its old drop table while still limiting the amount of times we can get said chest? why not remove the 1 chest per character limit if that isn’t where the guaranteed rare is coming from? is anet afraid we will flood the market with blues like before?

They patched a glitch that allowed people to toss in lvl 68 weps and get a precursor, they did not remove the chance of getting one from rares

rares and exotics over lvl 77(i think not sure if thats the exact lower limit) give you a chnace at getting a precursor. the chance is higher with exotics, as you will always get an exotic back, whereas with rares you only have a small chance for an exotic which greatly reduces the chance of getting a precursor
