well i guess as a ranger i have a different view pint on things i use all of my weapon abilites all the time, and without fail most of my DPS comes from my auto attack with both Sword and shortbow. there are alot of things that would need to be adjusted.
from personal experience rangers can get swiftness and fury on weapon swap in combat. so if i equip 2 shortbows i could possibly use 111 ~111~111~111~ to get unlimited fury unlimited swiftness and really take advantage of the system you propose.
my research on thieves also i believe they get initiative back on weapon swap again with this system all you have to do is spam your highest damaging attack swap spam attack again, i mean the game is completely built around swapping weapons/ atunements. i would be willing to bet that every single profession has one or multiple traits that would be used to manipulate the system.
i personally enjoy weapon swapping cooldown because it allows cooldowns to reset on my other weapon while maintaining a current flow of abilities.
of course i use all of my abilities on all of my weapons. so for me by the time i have used all of my abilities on a weapon set my swap is usually up.
i do not think that what you are really asking for is to remove a cooldown on weapon swap, what you really want is an improvement of certain weapons. as a ranger, and with my playstyle i choose weapons that compliment my play style and i use all of the abilities.
granted some abilities can be improved and buffed for more effectiveness, but if you are only ever swapping to a weapon for one ability than maybe its the weapon that needs changed not the cooldown.
what people should be asking for is please make these weapons more appealing so i dont use them for 1 ability and be mad about how bad the rest of the abilities are for 8 more seconds.
the cool down is there because if it was not there the game would be severely changed in regards to balance, playstyle of classes, and all around changes to different weapons.
while i agree that on my warrior some weapons arent appealing to me outside of one ability this doenst mean that Anet should change the cool down on weapon swap, this means that they should change the weapons abilities.
In regards to the point on wanting that interrupt available i believe careful use of interrupts should be something to learn, so you dont use it on just anything. it makes you want to save it for big attacks or stomps so you can rez a player. its a calculated choice instead of random spamming.
problem about getting boons with weapon swap can be easliy solved by using a cd on that trait

he didnt meant that, what he said is " u may say “managing to use that elixir may require high skill so not everyone will be able to use it” but if he was high skilled player he wouldnt need to use it" with that he kinda proved that it is easy to utilize
weapon swap CD is pointless as far as i can see…
remove CD for atunement for eles also, but keep the 5sec unable to use atunement you just switched from?

what is your suggestion for eles about this issue? and weapon swap for ele would be nice but then eles could do everything, so much options and that would be slightly over balance

So I agree, MOBA does not = good, by any measure, but I think it can, and I’m easily fooled several times in a row. (I’ll give anet another chance, though I’m beginning to have alternate theories about what that a stands for.)
Lol and Dota is both MOBA genre
everyone knows that game is not in “best balance” state and devs are working on it what we need to do is not finding already known problems we need to find solutions and suggestions to these problems

Time warp is 5 sec haste and its much better in teamfights, with moa its gonna be 4v5 for 10sec but with timewarp its gonna be 10v5 for 5 sec which will stomp enemy team immediately
i reach to %90 for spesific boon. For example for might if i use 2 strength 2 hoelbreak 2 fire rune and with traits i have 37sec might duration 20+17

I dont know if its about the sigil “superior sigil of battle” or might itself, this sigil gives might everytime you change your weapon but the problem is about might stacking. When i have a might stack already tooltip doesnt shows the new stacks i get from sigil until old might stacks duration ends. In example for elementalist when i change to fire attunement i get 1 might because of my trait but it doesnt show the one sigil gave then i change to other attunements and i still have 1 stack of might but after 37 sec when this might ends, i suddenly get 9 stack of might with a duration of 4-5 sec which should be 37 sec for my spec (i got everything to make might longer) I havent tested that if its a visual bug or real one but my hero screen has same “bug” too

why there is no barbershop to change some of our features ingame?
there is no unfairness in killstealing bosses. both teams have ways steal bosses and prevent it from stealed. that kill steal is the main difference between it and other maps and there is no unfairness in it you just need to think before play this is what makes game competitive
all mesmers elite skills are much stronger compared to others i think timewarp is better to use, your team will obliterate them with it while moa makes it 4v5 which is much more bearable
if that point would get neutralised when same amount of people in circle of conquest, then bunker plays wouldnt be so effective

why? you mean portals? if its that portals already overpovered, especially for kyhlo, they should make it elite skill and destructible imo

at least they can do some integrated voice chat so pugs can coordinate too else there is no reason that they are allowing pugs to get in tpvp, pugs gets stomped in 2nd or 3rd round

I don’t know why ANET has such a high opinion of Melee’s in this game but the Caster classes are just pathetic in comparsion.
My Warrior and Theif can deal more dmg than any other class in the game by far, no single two classes can touch the dmg I can put out with one of these classes.
My Warrior has 2400 armor and 21k HP’s eviscerate’s for 6k crits on high toughness targets with no protection up and 9k crits with killshot. Don’t even get me started with his auto atk dmg.
My Theif can pretty much make someone disappear in 3 sec’s only has 15k HP crap Armor BUT WHO CARES I run faster than everyone and can stealth constantly and sit in stealth with shadow refuge.
So I should play a Mesmer to:
A. Do less dmg than my theif
B. Run slower than my theif
C. Have less escapes than my theifSo I should play a Elementalist to:
A. Bunker Build worse than a guardian
B. Heal worse than a guardian
C. Do less dmg than my warrior or theif and die faster
D. You got confused with Priest and MageSo I should play a Necro to:
A. Have alot of pets that do less dmg than a rangers
B. Condition dmg worse than a theif
C. Pretend I actually get life back with abilities and burst dmg set this highNot a single role any of them fill that wouldn’t be done better by a Theif , Warrior or Guardian.
well thief’s damage is a burst if you can prevent him from hitting you – which is very easy with blocking or dodging- he is as good as dead meanwhile thief doesnt have any team utility
an elementalist can run faster than you, heal allies, deals quite good aoe, has nice cc
a mesmer has 5 sec for all nearby allies, can run as good as you, deals good aoe and nice single target
a necro has best aoe damage, best condition damage
and all of them can be much better tank than thief
not every class is same somethings maybe unbalanced but not as much as you think
what anet wants is changing the old “tank-healer-dps” role system and they did it by giving everyone a self heal, nice defensive options, good damage options and if the ratios werent like this their effort would be futile
i think warriors downed is much better because of vengeance
i have no problem killing warriors with my ele on 1v1 you just need to dodge 100blades and their burst is 0
the thing called map control prevents boss from stealing
lol there are ways to prevent this just a matter of playing it would be lame if they removed that kill steals

i totally agree i dont ever check their “color” when selecting them “red name” is more than enough for me to distinguish them and while only reward of spvp is cosmetics that is just a huge contradiction
If sigils would give auras to weapons it would be really nice for cosmetics
