I am not complaining about the ping [200ms in Middle East while playing on EU and NA based servers is pretty much a good ping].
Anyway, since repair didn’t work, I tried deleting single folders and files in the GW2 folder and let the launcher patch it back, and it seems that it mostly broke the issue (I still suffer from DCs, but much less now).

I don’t know what is causing it, really…but, oh well. At least I’m going to finally finish Mass Effect trilogy if I can’t do the map exploration ;P

edit: nvm, it’s still randomly all characters, the mains (80’s) being dced right away, the little ones lasting longer.

I’ve been suffering by completely unplayable GW2 recently. The problem is related only to GW2, everything else runs fine – browsing, WoW, Blade and Soul (that is a kitten for high ping, btw)…All other games runs fine; all browsing works without a problem.

I’ve cleaned my PC up and down, including ridding off all the temps, cache, and having my registry squeaky clean, flushed DNS, tried static IP, alternated between google public DNS and the one we have provided here, rebooted the router several times, tried different PC in the house. It seems to affect my account only (my husband’s connects just fine)

If I ping the server IP I get from game, the ping is around 150-200 ms, which is pretty standard for a player from Middle East (our providers force weird hops, sometimes).

However, doing a traceroute to the GW2 servers yields a very peculiar result. (I apologize for the result being a picture, but the router is refusing to let me copy&paste or save the result).

My location is: Kuwait,
My provider is: Zajil International Telecom Company W.L.L.
When I suffer from the disconnects: constantly, no matter the time or character trying to connect.
Router I use: Linksys WRT 1900 AC (it disconnects on both frequencies, tested)

And my offhand legendary will cast only ever 1 skill? I won’t strip boons? Summon a mage? Nhoooo…

Legendaries are promised to stay at always the best stats (ascended level now, they used to be exotic stats before), so if a greater stat system is ever introduced, you have it right there, with no need of chasing after the new a shinier stat (be it combo, or bigger number)

All my mesmer, elementalist and thief are at the moment around 50, so I am quite looking forward to the lvl 80 mesmer
But I stop running alts about 2 years back, log them only not to burn out from a main (in all games the same thing for me).
The mesmer however did catch my interest a lot, almost as much as my necromancer.

I’ve got 3 shards in the past 3 days from there My RNG isn’t fun at all. It’s sometimes quicker to do the karma/laurel way, imho…
Mind you I don’t dedicate more than an hour or two a day to Silverwastes, I just don’t like that map. Or Dry Top.

I actually find mesmer much easier to survive with than an elementalist, due to the number of teleports and aggro drawing clones etc.
Ele is just squish ultimate. For me.
Even thief is easier. For me.
And I main a necro with Zealot (or Clerics, or Soldiers, depending on mood) gear, which can eat up pretty much anything.

It might be simply best to wait few hours from now, when more people are online, and organize a call to arms for it. You can of course try now too, but the mornings are kinda dead and not many healers / support players roam around to keep the NPCs at the last stage alive.

I’ve suggested this before, and I’ll suggest it again. I’d love to see a system implemented like Eso and Tera where the mouse locks to the camera rotation unless you’re using it for the UI. My mouse is fine, but my middle finger has been feeling out of sorts because of constantly holding down the right mouse button.

I play Tera (although not hardcore, just a high level mystic), and I plead for this kind of control not to ever make it in GW2. It’s horrible. If you’re used to checking your surroundings while fighting, you’ll just end up aggroing by hitting everything around.
It has it’s place in Tera combat (although the healing with same + a lock on feels just clumsy as hell), but not at all in GW2, in my humble opinion.

My Sylvari has long, though spiky hair. I love it. And to be frank, I do like the fact there’re short styles too, and I direly miss some proper looking short hair styles on humans and norns. Females, of course.

It should be picking Azurite, to be honest. Those orbs don’t even exist anymore (except maybe, rarely, in a specific fractal), but you can at least buy a Gift of Sprockets or whatever it’s call via laurels. There is no shortage of supply for sprockets, and as the pick continues to remain available, the price is going to keep dropping.

Something “special” which could cover my cost blew on crafting the insignias would be just fine. Sprockets are convenient, but any time-limited content which is hard to or impossible to come by now should be probably tied to it.
I also had several sets of that gear, before they became account bound…

About 2 years back on Aurora Glade I used to see a guardian called Tucking Fypo. Stays in my thoughts up till today

Nobody was “crying full support” here, really.
People fail to read.
All which was suggested was slight revamps to event tagging and/or HP stat (including the ability to crit with different modifier) or both in a way that people who do not like to hurr durr pew pew only can feel as rewarded as the Raz Smash kind of a player, with the fact it’d encourage a bit more of diversity than there’s at the time. Including a dozen of new hybrid builds too.

I’m pretty sure healing power/toughness/vitality really boost your survivability.

The problem is speed run is pretty much the standard today. If you can’t clear the dungeon in full berserker max dps build, you get frowned on.

So many people complain about “those zerker elitists in dungeons” I wonder why can’t you play with each other and avoid those so called speed runners?

I would love it. As someone who stubbornly runs cleric with bit of soldier’s Necro with Dwayna runes, apothecary Engineer, buff machine Guard and somehow trying to figure out water attunement on my new Ele, (although I love the Necro to bits, just want a small break), I am pretty rare sight… I don’t have problems tagging though (Necro staff is good when I cannot simply d/f), and truly, as pointed up above, i often stand among a pile of corpses wondering what just happened

But I agree, whenever I’ve tried to create a decent looking man (from a female pov), I couldn’t it’s 99% clean shaven boy faces with milk dripping off their chin still.
Rugged, older and manly should be more of an option without paying. (Or even with paying if you must!)

I’d say Sylvari (and some Asuran) is best, human armour is so terribly generic.

Glad other people enjoy the game though, as much as I do.
And I am as non-meta as it can get – I just love healing power stat. :P

Yeah was going to just point out that they have snapshots, not everyday backup, and the snapshots also seem to tie to when you were playing and your acc was active (as in if you had a half a year break, and got hacked the first day after coming back, you might be rolled back that far)

My usual ping is 200ish from Middle East, but with these I get unresponsive lag spikes in tens of seconds to several minutes, where it’ll either kick me out of game, or get fast forwarded and work for a bit. Every few minutes.
GW2 only.
Zajil International Telecom Company W.L.L. is the provider (we do get some weird routing time to time. But this is directly related to GW2 only, as other games run fine. I actually play on 200 ping only in GW2, other games run quicker, for some odd reason.)
Game is totally unplayable most of the time.

Two more, now on my skill point character…. (disposable :P )

Can’t play at all. I am able to log in, be on character screen, but once I enter the game, it just hangs in there few minutes with nothing moving and no skills or TP responding, till I get kicked with error.
It’s very upsetting. I can’t do anything at all.

I love playing FT/Elixir gun since ever, but the work I spent on Quip is totally wasted. Not even a flower falls by when using them, and that yummy purple glow is gone too, and my confetti steps? Not there either.

I love jumping puzzles and challenges, however, what I don’t like is being timed.

I have done my world completion and carry my star proudly, and even took a step into my first real kind of pvp experience in any game I played due to that (WvW, I actually enjoyed it with small havoc teams). I am open to new experiences if they don’t frustrate me too much.
I don’t mind jumping puzzles, on the contrary, they pose a certain challenge to me if not overly lengthy and I enjoy doing them, however I like to have the time to get off the PC in the middle of it, fetch a child trying to set kitchen on fire, and come back to continue at my own pace. I don’t mind jumping with my own skill bar, either. I dislike the aspects, and I never played the LS with the ship which had it first time after giving it a go few times. It’s just a major turn off for me – but oh well, LS is not mandatory after all, right?
But that’s all right, I was lurking here on maintenance day and will go back to help our newly built guild team to try and down Garrosh instead.

This thread just shows me how many casuals and non-gamers play MMOs. The amount of such players grows and grows and I just wonder what a company should do that every last and dumbest idiot is able to play through a content. I am really happy that there are companies that give a kitten on those, like the developpers from Dark Souls/Demon’s souls.

This game was advertised as ideal for casual at it’s release.
I am not going to do the LS and it turned me away from returning to the game, and I am casual and non gamer enough to raid heal in WoW (no, not LFR or flex). No hardcore, but I think player enough.
When I started here which was roughly 1 month into the release, it did not require jumping in progressing. Even Legendaries have 2 ways of obtaining.
This was major turn off. And the lightning pull doesn’t work for me anyway…

I didn’t play for some time (I quit prior to the first jumping endeavor to the ship thing and came back here and there just to log in and out – that’s more for me as lack of end game choice after finishing my legendary, not I am used to from WoW, but that’s not the issue here), decided to give this new map a try after receiving an email, logged in, and after few overpulls and stupid jumping which I am forced to do, as there doesn’t seem to be any other way around on that map, I’ve decided to not continue yet again.
I like to walk. I am Asura, not a grasshopper.
Plus, they destroyed Lion’s Arch. Boo. (Yes, I didn’t play for rather long)

Yes on both occasions pwds were changed, only for the first time however intercepted by Arena Net.

Yeah, to me.
No email.
No suspicious log ins on either of my addresses.
PC clean.
Compromised second time in 2 days, but now all stuff and money gone.
They left just my legendary and some skins which they couldn’t take or sell.
Rather mad and disappointed.

Also spent several hours changing mail, all my passwords, contacting domain provider about any suspicious activities on my account (I use mainly mail from my site), putting authenticators on all my games, sms protect on Blizzard, scrubbing my PC clean in and out with various tools.
My husband uses same PC and his accounts are safe and sound, so it’s unlikely to be the computer anyways.

And as for now, My two 80’s are stripped naked with their stuff sold and anything of value in bank moved or sold, hurray.
Never been under attack for an account so much as in this game.
Screw this.

I am a slow poke, and it takes me 30 min maximum, with fetching a toddler around.
And when I don’t feel like doing them, well, than I just ignore them. They’re not mandatory.

It’s probably just for the start now, I’d say it’s gonna get decreased later on.

Aside from legendaries there’s still multiple issues with build diversity and with dps, it still takes three times as long on my engi to kill anything as it does on any other class. They fix all the bugs they want until the rework the damage ratios in PVE it’s still a problem for alot of people.

One of my friends stopped playing entirely because the only class he likes in the engineer and he noticed the ratios change dramatically right around level 50 where it suddenly becomes a chore to kill anything.

The legendary thing isn’t the only problem with kits and their backpacks, the whole backpack thing is messed up. We shouldn’t have them save for the cosmetic ones we add ourselves, there should be no backpack option easily.

if it takes your engi 3 times as long to kill something as another class, you are doing something very wrong

Question would be, if he’s 80.
Because there is a level bracket, for me it was 60-80, in which engi becomes increasingly frustrating to level compared to other classes .
I’ve leveled alongside my husbands warrior and it was one of the most frustrating experiences ever.

Well, to be honest, I am direly disappointed too.
I couldn’t afford The Crossing off TP, so I have started to work on it with a leisure tempo.
The only thing left I have is finishing the gift of souls, namely the dungeon part. I have sigils, I have lodestones, coins.
And they weren’t that cheap, those lodestones (though cheaper than the staff).

Now They’ve killed it for me, and the price for it will automatically skyrocket too since it can’t be crafted anymore.

Very, very displeased, to put it tamely.

Beyond that the mere existence of kits and our dependency on them means there really is no reason to go for any weapon skin of any quality at all. Ever. Not a legendary, not an exotic, nothing. And with “end game” being all about cosmetic rewards, we engineers have been stuck with basically no rewards for……a year.
