Please please, i just got a 1 infusion thing and i put in on my +10 infused ring now I’ve gone from +15 AR to +11 because the agony infusion took the +5 and made it into +1.. Please Anet can you reverse this of some sort!! I thought the Infusion would have made the 51=6 and having a +6 AR

So spending 750g on rares is uncommon to get a pre cursor? So if i spent around 600g on exotic (if we say 4g per exotic) i would have had a pre cursor now? (because 150 exotics x 4=600g)

550g? Just buy the fricking pre that’s what I did I hate the toilet and only ever use it to get things that have set recipes in the forge. Screw RNG

Over the last few months I’ve been trying and trying to get my pre cursor from the mystic forge, I’ve gone 750g+ of rates from great sword and daggers (250g on dagger) and nothing, not one pre cursor, what is this, is my character cursed or something cause my rng sucks!! Ive farmed loads (6 characters fully in exotic/ascended gear), made gold which i flushed down the mystic forge, ran loads of fractals and daily dungeon and doing daily events and i just have no luck and i want to know why, why don’t i have the luck others who put less effort get everything?

For those wondering why i am draining money from the forge its because i want my own pre cursor.

Hey guys i have 6 lvl 80s character (Thief/Guardian/Warrior/Necro/Mesmer/Ele). I hardly ever play on my mesmer and thief because i just can’t play with thief and i have no use of my mesmer. However they both are in full exotic gear. That i have no problem with however my Mesmer has vision of the mist. If i delete her am gonna salvage her armour but what can i do with the vision of the mist? I mean my warrior is great sword but it already has destroyer great sword which goes well with his armour and my guardian is a hammer guardian. Is there a way for me to be able to sell my vision of the mist? Because i personally don’t want to salvage it for like 1-3 ectos since i spent like 120g on it. What if i put it in mystic forge will i get a good great sword back?

So guys i am going for twilight. Ive spent around 450g+ so far on the mystic forge and have yet received my pre cursor. I mean since ive spent 450g should i keep spending my gold on rare gs and keep trying since i only have around 100g left :’( I mean RNG has always sucked for me in any game (gw1 included) and i farm ALOT!

So could you legendaries holders let me know. How did you get your pre cursors? Drop? Mystic Forge?

I was just casually champ farming when i just came with this brilliant idea! I mean i map and guild chat it and everyone said it was a good idea.

Why did you guys not give us an option to be good or evil? I mean think about it making a norn who is good or a norn who is an icebroad born? Another example, good asuran or inquest asuran? Good sylvari or nightmare court sylvari?

And it would have also benefit the storyline. If you were an icebroad norn, you could have been cleansed/ inquest asuran you decide to use your evil knowledge for good/ nightmare court pale tree speaks to you/cleansed? Then in the middle after the personal story, both side come together like all the races and armies and go against the elder dragon (UNITE AS ONE!!!!). I mean i woulda loved to have an icebroad norn.

All female Norn armour looks amazing. For male born, i mean you can’t fault the t3 cultural armour… i mean CMON, i mean look at this BEAST!!!

That’s actually a big lie . In gw1 there was 0 grind and 0 gear progression .
You could have the ugliest looking gear with the same stats as the coolest .
Gw2 is probably less grindy than 95% of Mmos but adding a new
Tier of gear is a grind to me . I can logg back in my gw1 account and
I will have the same stats as somebody who never left gw1 which is not the case for gw2 . If you havent played since launch and you comw back you are undergeared .

But it doesn’t mean there was no grind. There was no grind for gear stats. You still can’t say you didn’t have advantages by grinding for other power things. You got advantage even by grinding wisdom, luck and unlucky titles. You got advantage by grinding your Lightbringer, Sunspear, Luxon/Kurzick titles. You got advantage by grinding all four eye of the north titles.

If you don’t remember people asking for rank 8 Ursans, I certainly do.

And if you happened to want Obsidian or Vabbian armor, the grind was legenadry, never mind if you wanted a celestial compass or a frog scepter.

The stats may be the same, but if you wanted the skins, you had to grind.

Didn’t have to grind for r8 eye of the north title. I did regular dungeon and i got all of them maxed. I had celestial compass, obsidian armour along with 4 other type of armour but its nothing compared to gw2

Sorry but all dungeons in Eye of the North awarded deldrimor points, not Norn points which you needed. And grinding dungeons is still grinding no matter what you say. That is to say, if you don’t like running dungeons and many people don’t, you need to grind for those titles.

I say I can get a legendary weapon without grinding, because I can take my time and just get what drops…but it’s going to take a long time. Legendary weapons are obviously grindy. And you were grinding dungeons, presumably to fill books, to get your rank 8 ursan. Which didn’t matter because Luxon/Kurzick, Luck, Wisdom and Lightbringer were all far more grindy anyway.

You don’t get to pick and choose grind. If there’s grind there’s grind. Denying it doesn’t change the fact that it existed.

Frostmaw Burrow awarded norn points and like i said i never grinded dungeon i played 1hr a day because exams i had.

What happened Anet? You said you didn’t want it to be a grinding game but it is and with more updates that you come out, you are not lowering the grinding of the game but you’re increasing it. Example? Ascended Weapon. The new halloween weapon.

I’ve grinded so much in this game its unbelievable spending over 400g to try and get dusk with no luck, farming hours and hours with no luck, and it is coming to the point where the only thing which is farming champs is becoming boring. I have 6 level 80s and sometimes i have nothing at all to do. I have no legendary but thats because i dont want to spend hour and hours grinding for it. I would do it if it wasn’t such a bore to do.

Please please please make this game less grindy like you said you would!

Emphasis added by me. They didn’t say you wouldn’t have to grind for anything. They said excessive grinds would be reserved for cosmetic upgrades, not stat upgrades.

There’s nothing in there about not time-gating content. I am not a fan of how ANET is handling grinds (note my strenuous objections to the Halloween 10k grind), but I wish people would quit taking this statement out of context and using it to apply to whatever is making them unhappy currently.

I get that ascended gear deviates from this statement, but of course things change over time.

Am not unhappy at all. I have my exotic items/weapons/trinkets on all 6 character. But what do i do now? I have to aim for the next big thing which is ascended/legendary gear, but the only thing about it is that it is a bore to do. Why couldn’t they make ascended gear like exotic item, perhaps from a new dungeon which is level 80+ and requires the personal storyline finished? Now am pretty sure i could have had at least 1 legendary if i didn’t make 6 character but i like having a variety (and i like mix and matching armours)

To the dude above me. You need to go back and play those games. I currently raid and play with friends in all of them, and in comparison to gw2 how it is now, vs last Oct the ‘grind’ you are talking about is 150% easier in wow etc, in fact its so easy that i geared up a brand new toon in full purple gear in heroic raiding in under one month and that was not playing more than twice a week. I haven’t been able to touch that here. So your comparison is bad since you obviously don’t play those games, you like to use as a comparison for what grind even means, and sit here and defend guild wars.
This game has way more of a grind than anyone wants to admit. You should just own up to it.

GW2 has less grind than almost any game ever made.

GW2 has less grind than gw1? Are you for real? I have 10 characters in guild wars 1 and all of them have at least one very expensive. My sin which was my first ever fully geared obby armour/ dragon bones staff/ demons fang/ crystal blade/ voltaic spear/ chaos gloves/ blindfold. I got that within 2 weeks with 1hr playtime a day (i was on the last year of sixth form so i had alot of revision to do). I got it by casually playing with my guild and random people doing daily dungeons and everything. In GW2 ive ran 6 characters from lvl 35 to lvl 75 in AC then from 75-80 in CoF along with my warrior lvl 20+ fractals and CoF. The only thing i have which are good are exotic items from the token exchanger, none of which i bought from the TP. GW1 was a much much less grindy game than GW2. The only reason i dont play gw1 now is because they dont have a client for it for MAC which is a real shame =[

I know alot of you have dyes where you want to transfer to another character. And it has been made clear that Anet will NOT make dyes account bound. Well what happens if you want to delete a character and make another but the character has so much good dyes on it (my example is i want to delete my thief but he has celestial and black dye on there). My suggestion is why not make a Gem Store item which works like the transmutation crystal? Make a vial which allows you to take the dye from one character and remove it from that character and you can transfer it to another and use it on the other character.

This is just a little suggestion, feel free to discuss and post your ideas

Remember how some kids just randomly hit the keys pretending they are hackers or computer-genius? That is what some guy does to determine the list of numbers the loot tables will follow (loot tables explained above). An example of the list could be 315313313413413 with 3 being ‘Brittle Bones’ and 5 being a rare. That was just a very simple explanation, but it is following that principle.

Could someone please explain to me what RNG is? I just know it means random number generator. But how does it actually work? Is it something thats on your account or something that every time a monster die it has a random number generator to drop a a type of item (pre cursor)

-New/update CONTENT (especially storyline), i have 6 lvl 80s and am bored half the time am on gw2.
-New ways to acquire/less grindy way those very rare pre cursors (450g spent for just dusk and no luck)
-GUILD HALLSSSS!!!
-New armour set which you dont have to get from GEM STORE!!
-Less GRIND- put that twice cause thats the one i want most!

I remember a post by one of the dev saying that they didnt want gw2 to be a grinding game… Wonder what happened to that =/

So i was just wondering does Magic Find really works?

I know there are loadssss of these threads in the forum but am actually starting to think that it might actually not work… This is because for the last 6ish hours ive been running 250+ Magic Find (1st Year birthday/Magic Find bonus/Omnomberry bar/Guild mf flag/ rest is account bound mf) champ farming. I would have done fractals but there are hardly any groups that do it now so i just did what most people are doing. Now after 6ish hours of champ farming ive only receive gold items(3 to be precise) and that includes doing jormag aswell which only gave me couple of blues and rares. I have yet received an exotic.. Aswell as not getting exotic, ive been trying to get dusk for a while (spent 450g+) on mystic forge and no luck. Is this normal cause i must be a really really unlucky human being -.-’

Don’t so much consider the community to be full of whiners as more of people voicing general concerns about the game (and where it’s heading).

Ya see, a game wasn’t meant to be like that especially a game like gw2.. You should be able to socialize with people across the map and not just guildies.. I would too but there are time when guildies aren’t online and u have no other choices…

The only other multiplayer game I’ve played online on computer is runescape… And I ca tell you that they have a better community than gw2 now and they have a bad community… People without top gear are ‘noobs’ I run fractals daily I see people with legendaries yet I know am better than them but people judge you for how much money you have.. I’ve never felt so disgusted since I stated playing until earlier tonight where I joined a team of 4 in lvl 20 fractal where I provided them tip and spent 3 hrs with them to get it done to only be kicked at the maw.. The community really is going down hill

What would you rate the guild wars 2 community?

I think it isnt the best… You get people ranting if you’re inexperienced at something, kick you out of group after helping them in fractals and maw, and theres just alot of ‘jurks’ around. Whats your opinion ?

Hey guys now i dont know if it is possible or not or whether it is against the rules but is there a way of selling a weapon which is soulbound? I mean i bought a vision of the mist not thinking ahead and now am in a more…lets say…running low on gold ingame and i kinda wanna sell it back to get some other stuff.

Just wondering if it is possible to resell those items and if not, do u think arenanet will ever introduce something which will allow us to resell items such as vision of the mist or any unwanted expenssive weapons.

Hey Gaile, I attended the evnt and managed to kill the boss but dced (lag -.-’)… My guildie first got the email and i thought i would get mine soon but i still havent 2 days after he received his. One of my friend got a mail even tho he didnt attend any of the event.

Ive put a support message and am hoping that i get a reply soon. Ive empties all my mails. But could u just let us know, would you have to log onto the character than you did the event on to get the mail?

Full Magic find armour (+opal on 1 of them cause no point having all 5 pirate sigil) and my weapon does the 6% stack at 25 kills + onomberry… I got many 3 gold in like 7hrs in orr… Its really annoying =/

Can any1 tell me how to get in contact for dc while doing this event, cause alot of my guildies got there karka chest via email and i still haven’t.
