I did try just now, 800-900 lifeforce gain is easy to spot.

@Justine, what you are seeing are the lifeforce generated from Shroud Autoattack 1 skill or traits. You didn’t actually get lifeforce from the kill themselves in shroud.

To be more specific:

I was in HoT maps killing the one-hit KO white named NPC mobs. I killed some rats OUTSIDE of shroud and got 800-900 life force per kill. I then tested this again by killing the same rats INSIDE of shroud and DID NOT, I repeat, -DID NOT- get any life force when the rats died while i was IN shroud.

Is it intended that Necromancers DO NOT gain lifeforce from KILLS while IN shroud form? @ Devs

I just checked in game, I killed a monster while i am in shroud and i did NOT get any life force from the kill. Where did you test yours Justine?

Example:

You kill a monster OUTSIDE of shroud, you get 5% lifeforce.
Do you get the 5% lifeforce if you kill a monster IN shroud form?

According to that article it’s a promotional item given out by gw2 in china. If you buy 488 rmb (about 100 usd) worth of gems you will get the vial of liquid aurillium as a reward.

Tip: Don’t be cheap and don’t overbid by 1 copper. A good rule i use is to increase the bid by 10% of the item’s buy value (eg. 1g = increase by 10s, 100g = increase by 10g). In the end, you still pay less than instant buyout value.

While it is an issue, I’m sure they are working hard to resolve it.

1. Does it stack with Ghostly Infusion?
2. Does it conflict with any other auras?
3. So far only the condition dmg version is on trading post, will there be a power dmg version?

We need 125 PvP League tickets to make one of the gifts required for The Ascension (Legendary Backpack). I just went from Amber to Legend today but I only got a total of 100 PvP League tickets.

Does this mean I have to wait until next season to get my last 25 or is there another way?
I heard there’s going to be a new method of obtaining The Ascension. Will I have to redo the whole “achievements” when the new method is out?

Think of it this way. Say you work in real life at a minimum wage of 10 dollars an hour. It will take you 25 hours to buy it. However if you make it in game from scratch without spending a penny, it will cost you more than 25 hours (250$) plus a lot more hours of farming.

I was once a power necro myself, but I took a meta to the knee and now I’m condi necro.

People seem to have big hate towards power necros for some odd reason, but the truth is, the two does have a big difference when it comes to raid. The DPS difference is huge. I would recommend going full Yassith for your ascended armor, and then just use exotic scepter and staff while you work towards their ascended counterparts. Keep doing t4 fractal dailies, you never know when you’ll get an ascended weapon chest.

No, it isn’t anything like that. It is the equivalent of buying a Land Rover and then wondering why only 3 of the 4 windows go down. Then the dealership says they can add the ability to make the 4th window go down for a few thousand dollars more.

If you want to go down that route, one could say that in an alternate universe, all cars come with 3 windows. You (I’m assuming you are against having the invisible shoes, apologies if I’m wrong), on the other hand, who owns a bicycle, points out that it’s unfair since cars and bikes are all methods of transportation, why should it be that cars are 100x more expensive? The answer to that question: It is designed that way. It’s not like somewhere out there there’s someone who has an “all toggle-able character.”

Edit: To address my example from earlier, I’m simply implying that people who are complaining here are mostly players who WANT it, but CAN’T buy it. You can go out of your way to say im wrong, but deep down, you know the answer to it as well.

As part of the community who paid 3k gold for the boots, it is well worth the gold. It looks unique, and should stay as it is. Why are you guys so mad about it? Just get the gold to buy it or farm it, if you really want it that is. Otherwise, just use any other boots and be on your way. MAYBE.. JUST MAYBE if we are more mobile, then kiting wouldn’t be that big a problem and we wouldn’t get gang smashed by faster classes (which is like every class? Lol).

Honestly, I’ve played necromancers in PVP for probably half a year now. I really enjoy it, but there’s just way too many hard counter classes for us. Sure I can play it safe and kite 24/7, but when there’s a good team on the other side there’s nowhere you can run with no mobility and stability…

I hope we get some tweaks next expansion/season.

Learned it the hard way in gw2. Still haven’t learned it in rl yet lol. To put it in perspective, I’d have to sell my apartment and my car before I realize I’ll never get those money back *wink

Most of my gold are from gem exchange when it was 4.5k gems for 1k gold. I bought like 2.5k usd of gems that week. Had I farmed the 40k gold I’d never have gambled lol. I know how time consuming it is to farm gold in this game. But it doesn’t matter now because I lost it all.

I was bored, decided to Ecto Gamble. Made a daily log. (WARNING: traumatic experience)

Day 1 -

Decided to try ecto gambling because I had around 13k gold sitting in my inventory and about 30k worth of liquid assets in my vault (t6 mats, permanent contracts). My characters are fully decked out. Why not?

Ended the day with 800g profit. Thought to myself: Why exchange gems for gold when I just got 800g in like 10 minutes?

Day 2 -

Had a great sleep. Woke up in the morning, jumped in the pool for a quick morning dip, had breakfast and coffee, sat back down at my computer and ready to do some more gambling.

2 hours in: I got my 100 tries, got the achievement, got the portable vendor, I’m now 6k gold down. I told myself: I need to get my gold back from this scrawny Skritt.

3 hours in: I’m down 11k gold. I told myself: today just ain’t my day. I’ll try it again tomorrow.

Day 3 -

After a somewhat satisfying night, I woke up in the morning, feeling pumped to do more ecto gambling. I didn’t go for a swim though. Just ate some breakfast and jumped straight to the computer.

I’m out of liquid gold, starting to sell my liquid asset in my vault at instant buyout prices to finance my ecto gamble addiction.

2 hours in: At one point, I made about 4k gold for THIS DAY. Still with a net loss of about 15k gold, I decided to try more.

3 hours in: Palms sweaty, moms spaghetti. I’m down to a net loss of around 26k gold now. More than half of my liquid assets have been sold to the Trading Post. Out of sheer impulse, I emptied my bank into the Trading Post and got my last 15k gold to play.

5 hours in: I lost everything. I’ll never make my 41k gold back from the scrawny Skritt. I will just keep losing more. I give up. I’m gonna stick to gem exchange now. Good bye ecto gambling. I will not miss you.

Day 4 -

I was drunk last night. Woke up feeling hungover. I stood in the cold shower, reflecting on what the kitten just happened. I feel better now.

This is actually incorrect. Here’s a reddit post that does a good job of explaining.

tldr – if you want full stats when you go into shroud, you need scepters in both slots.

I was reading metabattle earlier for a condition necromancer build, and noticed that the VIPER HORROR build uses 2 sets of weapons:

Set #1: Scepter / Warhorn
Set #2: Scepter / Dagger

As you can see, there are two scepters. My question is:

When you set up for this build, do you need to use ANOTHER scepter for your Set #2 main-hand or do you just leave it empty and it will carry over when you weapon swap?
IF you leave it empty, does it give you any disadvantages?
