Since i just recently started to play gw2 again and bought the expansion i didn’t get to play ep1 of season 3 living world.
This is apparently giving me big problems for this episode of the livingworld. :Ep5
Since i never played it i can’t unlock the traitline Ancient Magics at all. I tried using Friend teleport to a friend in the area to unlock it but i just get ported back before it gets unlocked.
So my question is, do i really need to spend 200 gems to buy ep1 of season 3 to play this episode? I can’t really afford that and i kinda feel like i should be able to play this CURRENT episode without being punished for being in the Army during ep1
I have 2 stacks of them and i have no interest in making any legendaries. Should i just sell them earning about 500 gold or keep them for some other crafting?
They can be crafted into weapon skins that are far more profitable to sell than just outright selling the coins.
Downside is that the weapon skin may take a while to actually sell, while the coins should move almost instantly.
Do you know of any good list where i can see a list of theese skins? using the wiki is quite messy.

Got the same, only diffrence is that it made me blue screen since the gw2 launcer tryed to do something with my directX. ( I set my pc up to blue screen when Unauthorized stuff tries something like that)
However i managed to fix the problem by just downloading – installing the patch again.

i was their mesmer so i want to clear somethings to you, a mesmer can have a total of 12 Clones/illusions/phantasms at the same time. The reason for this is that is that an Clones/illusions/phantasm counts as dead as soon you hit a shatter skill, that means you can summon new ones before they manage to shatter!
i was spamming kittenloads of Clones/illusions/phantasms so this might of happened while i was bursting your melee train.
i hope this can clear somethings up

Anet can ban you all anyway chinese market is open, Anet doesn’t care to hold players that don’t respect game design as it has been intended, like you would tell Anet employee I don’t care of all work that has been done here nor I respect it. WvW have to stay clean from GvG people. XD

what a kitten! Is this the way dev’s treat their players?
If so you might want to reconsider.
I would like to know what parts you liked and what parts you did not like, this way we can help the devs understand what we want and don’t want.
So i do like every thing they did to the map itself, it looks good as all other maps in gw2 does! When it comes to the bloodlust buff it’s very unfair because the servers with most coverage gets the buff making a huge balance gap.
Edit: Now this thread got way to much posts for me to count but i have read through most of it and i can clearly see that most of us really like the map changes but hate the orb buff returning.
also many of us are suggesting that anet should move the buff over to the outmanned buff for better balance.

The greatsword does the MOST damage. You, however, will be dead too soon to enjoy it.
I really wanted it to be the better choice, but seriously, after the iZerk hits, it’s pretty much useless. In WvW, the other players are people, and they all know to close space. The greatsword doesn’t do much damage close up, doesn’t help you escape, and doesn’t help pin runners down.
The staff, on the other hand, has phase retreat to escape with, chaos armor (which helps a little bit), and chaos storm to help frustrate thieves. Do your damage with your other weaponset, because you’ll be alive long enough to actually play.

Only the Omega golems are a threat to t3 keeps and if you are trying to defend your keep, well then just pop a feedback bubble or something over them.

Well this is one awesome glitch!
The way you perform this is after killing Zhithan at the end of the story you can jump down the ship and when you die you will get ported to some ship that is underwater.
After doing this you are of course dead but however you can still use Revive orb to get up again.
From where you are it is kinda tricky to get out but when you are out you can swim to where Zhithan died and his textures are still there.
The reason i made this thread is that i wanted to provide Area net with screenshots since the bug report thing doesn’t allow me to pick screenshots already taken since i’m out of the instance and forgot to report the bug.
So now to the screenshots
EDIT: for some reason i cant upload the picture showin the actual place you res from so the only screenies i have is the places you can swim to.

If they changed combo fields to give the owner credit for people using finishers in it mesmers would be so much better off in PvE aoe, laying down a chaos field and getting credit for all the confusion it pops would be amazing, atleast make it SHARE the credit between the mesmer and others.

remember this would also be very good for mesmers playing WvW
i dont see why this should not be done, since this promotes better teamplay and more fun for mesmers!
This is the type of upgrade to the system we will likely be making, but it is not a short-term project. We feel commanders aren’t getting enough mileage out of the system as it is now and we’d like to make it much, much more robust.

Easy workaround is to go back to LA for 1 second, request kick, go back to WvW.

Now the devs dont give a kitten about you part, well “DevonCarver” is the only exception but his problem is that he cant kittening listen and don’t want to hear what ppl tell him because he is the supreme one and he clearly knows what’s best for WvW.
Just as the title says. Skill lag is making EB unplayable. I don’t understand why this hasn’t been addressed yet. Before adding all these new ranks/new masteries etc, why not make WvW functional first.
This is very true, EB is unplayable. Now i don’t remember which thread this was but the Devs are very aware about this but they simply don’t care about this at all.
As they said before upgrades of the current engine or WvW servers will never be done because they cant… I guess this is because they are to lazy or just is to kitten bad at their current job.
to be honest it should be the opposite.
If the guilds who enjoy GvG were to leave your server, your server would drop several tiers within the space of a week. I’m not even exaggerating. These are WvW guilds that spend countless hours tearing down T3 keeps, busting zergs, and propping up your server, and you can’t even let them have 1 hour a week for some rest and relaxation?

I just capped a camp in WvW and it popped up “100 Wxp” in blue colors. I’m pretty sure i used to get 150 from it before. I’m not sure if it was just the message that was wrong and still got the “greatly increased” amount of wxp.

you sir seem to be misinformed. CC means “Crowd-Control” as in controlling your enemy to some degree.

i’m wvw rank 70,50 and 30 and i cannot even remember the last time i got a rare or even getting an exotic from it at all!
i can just go to the queens pavallion get loads of exotics,rares and Levels in just 1 hour, meanhile in wvw i can work 1 hour for 1 rank and get just 2 greens from my rankup chest worth intotal 1,5 silver

Terror should be where it already is since it’s a condition and conditions are meant to be at curses. (Except for Vulnerability that is meant for the power traitline)
According to a dev post you agreed to not use any program that gives you any upper hand or advantages in gw2. Also he said it led to a permaban.
I can’t confirm this since it seems not to be in the terms of agreements which is actually very strange.
Edit; i really hope that commander and anyone who uses that zoom hack gets permanently banned.
It took me a while, but here is a better explanation with an image.
The illusionary berserker uses an animation similar to warrior greatsword #3 where they spin and move while creating attacks. The attacks are circles (shown as pentagons in my image) that are created at frames in the animation. In this image I highlight the position of all 4 attacks. What this means is that based on the relative position of a iZerker to their target, and based on the targets motion it can hit between 0 and 4 times. The damage number listed in the skill fact is based on all 4 hits connecting as shown by the 4x next to the damage #. With a static target this is possible but extraordinarily unlikely. The movement is meant to help this attack hit moving targets, which is its primary purpose as a skill which reduces movement speed.
In this particular series of screenshots, 3 of the strikes (#2, #3, and #4 ) overlapped the target golem, but as is known in the bug only 1 damage floater was displayed. I am able to examine the golem health before and after and it takes 3 strikes worth of damage but again the visual damage floater is not appearing. We do not know why this floater is sometimes not appearing but because it is a visual bug only we have prioritized other fixes over it while we try to figure out the root cause of this issue. In the meantime, I hope this image shows more clearly how this attack works and what the real bug here is.

Rather than having a “Read by Dev” feature, I’d rather just more open and better communication from the Devs.

2 problems:
The first problem is that they need to hire more people if they would be able to this.
Second is that anet does not get any money anymore since their only money income was people actually buying the game. Don’t mention gems as a money income for anet since all those money go to Ncsoft and not anet.
Ehh. No offense to tou OP, but I wouldn’t encourage the rage quitters who use it as a way of threatening a-net unless they get their own special individual attention. A-net empoyees work because they need money like anyone else. And they answer to people who need them to make money so they can make their own money. Any one who assumes they are slacking because their thread doesn’t get answered is just being immature. Something like this read by dev thread is only an extra expense a-net has to spend in time and man power to massage the shoulders of kids who don’t know how the world works when that time and man power could be better spent working on the real issues that are already being worked on.

It’s a major bug with 4,5k views but we don’t have a clue if a dev is working on it or if it is even on the fixing priority list.
One thing i really think the forums need is a “Read by dev” mark on every thread the developers have read on. You may ask why? Well the reason is pretty simple if you look at any forum section like the “bug section” you can see that there is a lot of threads with over 4k views and with no dev response. I’m pretty sure a dev has seen it and is working on fixing it but does not have time to write on the thread that he is working on it. MANY ppl are actually rage quitting gw2 because they think they are being left out by the devs.
I honestly think this is a very good suggestion to the game because it would assure ppl that the devs are not slacking and actually working their kitten off to fix all these bugs.
If you like this suggestion then please do reply why/howmuch you would want this while also keeping this thread alive.

I really liked that idea.
Ok Necro staff is 22% faster than this skill. I think we just missed upping this when we did our pass to up projectile velocity on skills that were absolutely too sluggish. That being said it looks like you can fire one of these orbs every .8 seconds whereas Necro staff fire rate is 1.3 seconds. Grasp does pass through targets in a line so I feel that differential is fairly warranted. I can’t promise when this is going to be fixed, but I can say I WILL fix it.
I have also tested this and to me it looks balanced! why? well scepter deals more damage than the staff!
Conclusion : Staff best in line dmg(Aoe) Scepter best single target dmg.
If you are going to buff scepter guardian then also buff necro staff.

Now while playing necro i feel like a kitten Twilight vampire with some idiotic minions following me (If i’m using minions). Also we are lacking gear that looks necrotic.
Now i’m not saying that necromancers are bad because they are NOT bad at all, infact i think it’s one of the strongest professions at gw2 if not the strongest.
So i love the idea of corruption skills and condition transfers, but I noticed I died A LOT as a condition necromancer even though all my gears were appropriate level and virtually every weapon and gear I use stacks condition, I even have condition rings and 2 condition accessories. I fight in appropriate areas and don’t mob intentionally. And all my traits are in spite. I used a scepter and dagger with CPC and Epidemic.
After dying multiple times as a condition necromancer I switch to pretty basic melee necromancer, would lead with a staff casting every mark until they closed the distance, then switch to dagger warhorn and suddenly I stopped dying all the time, and this is with all the condition stacked. I switch to the lowest tier minions and I no longer struggle in combat.
I was told condition necromancers are suppose to be very good, and after stacking virtually all possible condition gears I died constantly and considered switching classes. I love the concept of condition necromancers and really wanted to be a viable one, but after dying repeatedly I couldn’t maintain interest. I went from about 11-14 in the ashland region dying repeatedly and after switching to dagger+warhorn i gained considerable survivability in really bad situations.
What did I do wrong?
The build you are going is NOT a conditionmancer build, it’s a hybrid build.
The weapons you should use as a hybrid is 1 Scepter/Dagger 2 Axe/Focus Utility Blood is power, signet of spite and [Insert whatever you would prefer like Epidemic]
And for the gear according to your trait is Power/Precision/Condi Damage
Now to be a Conditionmancer the only thing you need at traits is 30 points at curses and the rest is up to you!
Gear Precision/toughness/condition damage
Runes
2xSuperior afflicted
2xSuperior krait
2xsuperior (dont remember)
and the 2 weapon can be a staff
Define what you think a Necromancer is, because it is not a standardized fantasy theme. I feel very much like a Necro when I play.
I think of it as Communicating/Using with the dead/unborn by raising their spirit or body and sacrifices or rituals using dark magic.
The only thing that gets close to that is summoning kitten pets or the staff marks
Corrupt Boon and Epidemic becoming unblockable are huge in my book. Both for WvW and SPvP
