@Valentine, I suspect you have to wait for reset to harvest again.
I restarted the story step by switching to Rising Flames and back, and now it does count the berries i’d already gathered. Solved!
Hey! I’m not sure where to put this but I’m hoping this is the right place as I’ve seen many people asking about this in map-chat.
I’m currently trying to make a certain Elixir and I may have harvested all of the winterberries on the map before activating this story step. Now theres no more berries left, and my progress is stuck. BUT i did manage to actually make the elixir and go into the Bitter Cold, but without story progression (Still stuck on a half-full bar of berries gathered.)
What should i do?
Very slowly filling up, still looking for 4-5 more people!
Bumping
You need to unlock the first tier of precursor crafting for Leaf of Kudzu to be allowed to pick it up
We’ll make it public in about 1-2 weeks probably, when we’ve built up a reasonable sample size
They do randomly drop from the adept, veteran and champion chests of the mists you get for completing a series of fractals. My guild has currently started a new spreadsheet for droprate research but it’s too early to say anything about droprates yet.
You get them from salvaging golden skins and completing levels 75-100. level 100 also gives a golden skin and I got one golden skin from completing the regular skin collection, which makes 4 golden relics in total.
So I’ve had 4 golden ones for a few days now, trying to figure out how to combine them in the forge to create a random golden weapon skin. Every recipe I’ve tried, however, seems to need 10. I know this is an existing recipe for a specific skin if you combine it with ectos, stabilizing matrices and the weapon skin you want to turn golden.
Is the recipe for the 4 relics = random skin bugged? Or am I missing something?
Also, while browsing through the hairstyles trying to find the one i changed before, i found some new, unreleased hairstyles! Some of which unfinished.
A few completely disappeared form selection though, the one you see above and 4 more hair-kit exclusives.
Tried it out on a placeholder character and after choosing the other gender and changing the hairstyle, the gender doesn’t actually change, but the hairstyle does. This means you cant actually see what style you are choosing until after you apply changes because the preview is for the opposite gender.
So since the patch when I try to change my hair, it forces me to change gender before bringing up the panel with hairstyles. (I am female and I’d like to stay that way!).
There’s a fix scheduled for this but it is too early for a “soon”… Need another week before another round of “soon” starts going out.
This is an awful response. The bug completely prevents progress in fractals and isn’t avoidable. We just had to do a the first fractal 3 times to do our 50 because the 2nd fractal was Molten Facility each time. This answer basically says don’t do fractals for at least a week probably more. If this was a living story release it’d probably have been fixed within a day.
Completely agree. Fractals already isn’t in a good place and this response confirms that saying ‘devs don’t care about fractals’ isn’t a baseless remark. Not just no fix for a whole week, making fractals unplayable, but not even a plan for a fix.
Amazing! Can’t believe I never noticed this
I’ll make sure to check it out next time though, awesome find!
Closing in on 700 pristine relics now, been stuck on 18/19 for about 8 months-ish now, still missing sword
Got a tonic though ^^
It drops from the bonus chest you get after defeating the boss on the final fractal. The one that also contains your pristine relic and empyreal fragments.
That mossman screen is glorious.
I call it: ‘The Final Thrust’.
Got a fractal tonic today as well!
It was the last thing I ever expected to get from a 50, since I’ve been on a fractal sword hunt since fractals launched. Still pretty happy with it though
Same, since they’re no longer giving us daily reward chests anymore, the only way I’m ever going to get my sword is by request…
I just KNOW that level 40 daily chest contained my 2-year-long awaited Fractal Sword. I expect to see it in my mail by morning, A-net! Please?
same, its like the wintersday cold just extinguishes my 3k gold flame. :/
Can confirm, our entire party didnt get a daily chest.
This is what i daydream of every time i get to add more pristine relics to my nearly completed second stack…
Thanks for the visuals Thorian <3
Back to where you belong, thread!
Which one do you like most? ^.^
3rd and 5th look amazing ! What armor are they using?
The 3rd one is mostly Ascended armor (chest, gloves, legs and boots), human tier 3 shoulders and the Monocle <3
The 5th one consists of the Wraith Mask (necro starter mask), no shoulders, Phoenix chest, human tier 3 gloves, as Rainbow Sprint pointed out im using Zodiac leggings and my favorite boots in the game, ascended ones.
Glad you like them!
When she was a baby, The Girl With No Name was found by her adoptive parents near Wizard’s Fief in Kessex Hills. Growing up among nobles in Divinity’s Reach, it became clear at a young age this was no ordinary girl. She had an obsession for the magical and wonderful things. Soon her parents found out their precious daughter had a destiny nobody could have ever foreseen. Becoming a Mesmer.
And what are mesmers without a complete inventory filled only with fashion? Nothing.
From left to right:
Traveler’s Trappings.
This outfit is by far the most comfortable one of all the lady’s clothing combinations. It is to be worn on journeys to preferable sunny, southern regions.
Orrian’s Ornaments.
This set is inspired by the long faded majesty of the kingdom of Orr. It will guide you through mazes of long forgotten cities and ruined landscapes without even having to use your eyes.
Ascendant’s Attire.
The ‘I mean business’ armor. To be worn in Fractals and most other dungeons, but also formal affairs and official guild gatherings. My mesmer’s personal favorite.
Demon’s Disguise.
By far the most casual one of the bunch, this outfit is mostly worn in a comfortable setting. Will remind the wearer of her youth and is a perfect gateway to creating a lighthearted atmosphere. Trolling included.
Empress’s Ensemble.
Making a statement of true royalty, this outfit will make sure to remind you and everyone near you of your nobility. To be worn in situations where there will be little to no fighting, and appearance is what matters most.

anet also told us we would get a fractal weapon container that would allow you to choose a skin you actually wanted instead of getting harpoons and tridents (if the skins even drop).
might just stop doing fractals until then instead of being utterly disappointed at getting another uninfused solaria at the end of every 49 run.
Thats the problem, all anet is doing is fixing thing they perceive as problems, instead of fixing what we think is wrong with the map.
Im never doing dredge again. Its bad for my mood.
Still downloading today’s patch, but so far nothing in the patchnotes about this…. i hope they stealth fixed it or ill throw my focus out the window one of these days.
bump
Please fix!

Oh the sword, probably the only reason why i still make myself endure the pain that is high level bugtals fractals. I’ve collected quite the amount of longbows, rifles and tridents. As from this week, the only skin I’m still missing in my collection is the elusive one handed sword. Yet the only thing that seems to be dropping at least once a day is Solaria, Circle of the kitten.
Yes, droprates have changed drastically. Probably because of the addition of ascended chests. The thing that really hurts like a backstab on a zerker ele though, is getting uninfused Solarias on a 49 daily you worked so hard for.
Let us not even speak of the moment we get out of fractals and visit our bank. 200+ pristine relics just staring at us, mocking us, alongside of tridents, uninfused rings and [Fractal Air].
I’m with you, brother. May we endure the horror that is fractals and never give up until we have our sword!
Are you sure it’s not your sylvari’s nightly glow color that’s causing the pink hue?
I’ve seen some pretty drastic differences on my sylvari when it turns night (who has the same hairstyle), especially when the glow intensity is set to highest (as is standard).

Oops! Had one invitation i hadn’t declined yet, should be fixed now, sorry!
Amaryllis Alias =)
I wanted to try something, so I came up with this. She looks like a little dragon c:
I gotta ask, what is the golden colored dye you’re using? I’m yet to find something that matches my sunrise’s hilt perfectly, but this one comes close enough!
Love your outfit btw, very original!

The bug in this is that my warden usually already IS next to its target when i summon it, and just wastes time by just standing there, doing nothing for no reason :-(
After the December 10th skill balance update, my wardens have turned from lifesavers to very unreliable and sometimes even useless clones.
Whereas before the patch they would start their whirling/reflecting attack right after I summoned them, after the patch they seem to find it difficult to initiate.
I can’t even keep count of how many wardens (including the real me sometimes) have died due to damage from missiles they are supposed to reflect. Mesmer is a very tactical class. Sometimes, i don’t care if my warden isn’t right next to it’s target (because that’s apparently what it’s looking for before attacking, even when it already is right next to it’s target), most of the times I summon the warden to protect myself and my team from projectiles.
High level fractals (40+) is about the only thing i do nowadays, and when going up against mobs that can kill you very easily if everything doesn’t go completely right, it’s beginning to be very frustrating to see another warden failing to find its target and not attacking/protecting.
Solution? Easy. Leave the warden as it is, but please make it do its attack immediately when i spawn it, and not waste time searching for a target while me and my team get slaughtered by projectiles. -cough- Dredge.
(I know this has probably been mentioned on other forums, but my wardens are too close to my heart to let this slide. It’s personal now!)
