Back in January we lost a few guilds.. a few stayed. We went back to the top of bronze and NEVER dipped below. We have a great strong Na Prime and have Server Wednesday push where ALL the guilds work togeather. New guilds are forming and GOM is returning. We lack OCX time time which hurts us. This week in fact we came back to silver. The reason why we didn’t do so well was due to Dragon Band having an insane OCX crew compared to GoM. We’re still the king of Bronze though so don’t doubt us. The majorty of the guild fighting and drama is now over as just recently we got a brand new Ts Server which is helpful. When we crashed we lost roughly 4 guilds. Infant one of those guilds came back (DGP). Te other guilds that left actuslly disbanded (Dui) and the other two are unkown.

I’m a ART member on GOM and have never transferred ever.. I command a lot as well.
With all the guilds growing in numbers it’s been aweosme to see.
In eb with blob.. but every day a guild will jump in and fight on there own or in a bl.. so we have guild groups running. For roaming we have plenty.. were always seeing duels and camps being taken and even towers being flipped by then.
GoM is rising once more.. so with that.. the Gommies of Gate of Madness has returned!!

I havnt seen it talked about yet, so I’m curious, and or maybe I missed it. Is guild wars 2 windows 10 ready? With windows 10 coming tomorrow, I was going to back up my gaming PC and install it. But guild wars2 is one of the main games I play, if it’s compatible I’ll download it, if not I’ll hold off. Anyone know? Or has any devs said anything on this?

It seems decent you would just grab one of the previous unattainable full lines. I tried fire briefly, but no swiftness was a no no. Soothing ice is great.
I picked renewing stamina, elemental contingency, evasive arcana, water traits for condi removal, and air with fresh air but I think bolt to the heart is the way to go to ramp up damage.
Everyone else got buffs also with theives stacking 3 hours of fury from auto attacking(bug) and mesmers can stack like 30 seconds of stealth now(intended with new PU). It’s going to take a few days maybe weeks for things to settle again.
I think medi guards in roaming will become much stronger now. I hopped on my medi guard and zeal+honor+virtures is really strong for roaming/dueling now. Still no swiftness access, but it’s strong.
Very cool.. so Arcana/water/air is the way to go? What armour is best with it for roaming in WvW etc?

getting the samething in Gates of Madness.. everyone bl we keep randomly dying, teleporting across map, and getting put in water weps and cant use skills.. this is crazy!
Depends on your group.. for my guild I run d/d and use interrupts to stop there eles from dropping heals and knocking them down when they stack up to do anything.. so its usefull.. still wonder what armour and trinkets are best atm with knights or celestial gear of that’s still gonna be good to use.. I’m thinking of running arcana, water, and fire maybe switch fire with earth sometimes. Fire is still great power..

If the roaming landscape becomes substantially more dangerous, and the amount of defense we currently use just doesn’t cut it anymore (because of crazy powerful condi burst/boonrip/…), we’ll have to go earth/water/arcana. With elemental shielding/geomancer’s freedom/diamond skin.
They nerfed vigor to grant 50% increased endurance regen, rather than 100%
Nice and I’m guessing celestial or knights gear would be best? Which trinkets u think as well? I’m guessing you’d need some healing with knights gear as we lost the stats from putting points into masteries etc..

The Gate of Madness server and match up is seeing lag in eb if u want.. littery no big fights happens yet were all jumping around. Im not the only one.. map chat says it to. :/

I roughly made 1500g by crafting givers gratswords, swords and daggers and selling them within 10 days.
2 days ago, i crafted another 60 swords but didnt have any gold for the listing fee because i had it all in buy orders. Threw them in the forge and got Zap.

Oh wow, thats not that bad over time. Also for T5 way is quite interesting.. though question.. T5 snowflakes are roughly 2s right now.. most t5 mats are around that price. Whats the difference then using regular T5 mats?
I got Zap for about 200g when accounting for money earned back by selling exotics. My advice: buy orders for rare swords under 45 silver, forge, sell exotics for at least 3.5-4g. The “expected” price of Zap using this methodology is about 600g.
A potentially workable strategy to consider: buy a bank tab worth of T5 snowflakes to craft Givers weapons. Right now these are really cheap. But don’t craft yet! Mithril and elder wood are inflated as people are trying to craft Givers weapons. Wait for those prices to come down, then buy the metal and wood you need.
Thank you all for the feedback, crafted 50 rare swords and only got 3 exotics.. was my first try so i don’t mind.
Selling off other stuff and slowly making some gold. Only did those 50 rare swords as i had the mats and it was free. Gonna keep at it and trying.

I really suggest you reconsider flushing them down the mystic toilet. I’m not sure what stats you’d put on your swords, but even gold 80 swords with crappy prefixes go for 30-50s a pop. Even ignoring the cost of the mats, you probably could have made more progress toward your precursor by selling the swords, or salvaging them with a mystic/BL kit and selling the ectos.
Mystic toileting is pretty much the worst way to go about it. Even running World Boss trains and “hoping” at least makes you more progress, in that you’re only out waypoint costs, so your bank acct goes up, not down, toward the precursor price.

I have got all three parts out of four to make the Legendary Zap BUT the precursor.. sucks but i’m still working my hardest on trying to make it.
Whats the best way to get the precursor as I’ve only got around 200g at the moment and working on trying to complete it.

Build is really interesting.. but because your not using hoalbrak or strength runes how much power do you lose? Can you still do enough damage to people in wvw and survive?
I am thinking the new arua runes is something worth trying out for d/d ele. Kind of the old aura build in groups 2 air 6 water 6 ar solo is more on the lines of 2 air 2 earth 4 water 6 ar. 9 sec frost aura on a 32 sec cd is nothing but god mood. The only problem about the new rune is the long icd 5 sec of swiftness on a 20 sec cd is not worth it the heal is though BUT for an ele to use there heal cost a lot.
Added note air aura will last for 5 sec so it can trigger 2 times on a person that and i think for more of the solo build you run Elemental Contingency over evasion it should let you have 100% fury swiftness and protection up time.

Need some help with a WvW build.. been playing around with things but can’t seem to get things right.
In WvW I’m running 0-2-0-6-6 and knights gears with hoelbrack runes. Also I’m using a celestial amulet and zerker trinkets… With cantrips. D/D.
This used to work perfectly up until yesterday.. Yesterday this build for some reason kept getting destroyed against rangers. :/
Any one know any other good wvw builds. I can’t make celestial armor atm.. but can make celestial everything else.
I’m working on trying to make celestial armor but it’s takes some time and I need a new build for Friday. :/
Basically I need a build that I can roam with.. and use in zergs.

well, then you either get a mixture of knights and assassins/berserker armor, or, just don’t waste money and run a full berserker (everyone has a full set of zerker gear lying around, right? ) fresh air build for roaming until you have the cele set complete. sucks against thieves, but everything else is deep fried, crispy and ready to eat after 3-7 secs PLUS it needs a lot more skill, doesn’t forgive ANY mistakes and is therefore a lot more fun to play.
don’t get me wrong, if you see the thief first, he doesn’t even have time to stealth himself before being completely obliterated, but as this is not always the case, be wary of thieves, young padawan. they lead to the dark side
edit: blackbeard! how is a pewpew strong against d/d? i don’t see it. you’re fighting at minimum range, and LOS him most of the time, so his longbow is very useless. all the while, you’re applying PBAoE from behind/the sides. he should melt in 15 seconds from burning and bleeding alone, not even talking about the burst damage.

So I mainly play WvW.. but i love to roam around and use my daggers.. (i have Incinerator). But one of my most favorite combos to use is Burning Speed with Lightning Flash.. But out of the ten times I’ve used it 9 times it failed and teleported me back to my original starting spot. So.. does anyone know what happened to it?

My gaming PC that’s at my house does max settings everywhere in gw2. Even in wvw it does max setting though it lags when we get into some nasty zergs fight which is normal. I dont mind the lag during the wvw fights as I’m quite used to it. Just need a nice gaming laptop that does max setting everywhere, I don’t mind if it lags in wvw. :p
Reading around the forum, people with high end overclocked desktops are lagging in WvW. I don’t think the laptop you are thinking of buying has been invented yet

I’d like to point out that the CPU limits for GW2 don’t really kick in until huge amounts of players like Tequatl events or WVW. A GTX 870M would have a bit of a better chance over an 860M. With my Asus G75VX the limiting factor on it is the clock speed is too low on the GTX 670MX that it has, otherwise the i7 3630QM has very little problem.
If the 860M on whichever laptop you’re wanting is a Maxwell unit, I’d say go for it otherwise it’s practically a neutered GTX 770M and would go for the 870M instead, and with the price difference between 860M and 870M, the choice is fairly obvious since normally the price difference is around $250-ish for those two chips in otherwise the same spec of laptop.
My verdict: Go for Ghost Pro. It’s 870M (which is originally a GTX 680M) is still a very high powered graphics card and will have no trouble with this game and possibly not much with other more intense games.
Hey. Thanks for the help so far. It’s been awesome help! It looks like I’m leaning towards the Gs60 Ghost of Gs60 Ghost Pro. The main difference between these two are $100 and the graphics card (ghost pro is: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 870M regular ghost is: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860m). Is the $100 worth it for the difference between the two graphics cards? Also another difference between them is that the Ghost pro has 3gb of video memory while the regular ghost has 2gb of video memory.
For the gs60 ghost and ghost pro i have been jeering tons of good positive things about them. There thins, light weight, amazing power, and good battery life. Great for on the go traveling like I need.
non gs series msi are all pretty hefty and thick. No real difference between the 15"/17" (17 has 1 extra display port out, 15 has super raid function with better internal connectors) though some reviews have said the 15 has better finish. There is a version of the gs 60 with an 870m for about $300 more and will net you about 30% more performance.
2 other options:
Gigabyte p34/35 14"/15" thin gaming notebooks. Currently they are using the older 765m chips but have been refreshed to the 860m. (to be named p34/35g v2 with a w version for 870m’s). The 860 version is harder to find atm from reputable retailers.
Lenovo has their refreshed Y series that was ok, but now that prices have recently been cut, they are a lot more competitive in terms of value. 15" Y50 would be the way to go as it has the 860m compared to the y40 with a m270 (bleh amd mobile due to higher heat).
Specs are similar to the gs60 but prices may be a bit lower as the msi is still thinner and lighter and thus has a price preimum.
Ugh.. so hard to decide! Need help! Found another 1 that has the same specification as the last one. GS60 Ghost. Looks like I like the gs series from msi just no idea which one to get help plz :/
Hmmm.. I looked at the two laptops you sent me to look at. They were a bit thicker then expected. So I kept looking around with the specification you gave me. Ran across the MSI GS70 Stealth. Has i7-4700HQ 2.4GHZ and GTX860M. You think that would handle gw2 with max setting (PVE/WvW/PvP) good?

My only thing I’m asking is, it needs to be a thin gaming laptop. So like the razer/msi laptops. The max amount of money that I can spend is between $1,500 – $2,000.

I took a break from gw2 for a few weeks. Well i come back and as expected zerker builds are nurfed. Im fine with that but can someone help me with a new build? I suck at making new builds but I only play elementalist as its my favorite class. I used to use full zerker armor and almost all zerker trinkets. Money isn’t a problem. ;p
If needed i have 6 runes of the divinity sitting on my character also.
Bleh, didnt realize DH had lost that many. Crazy since you had a real shot at this thing seeing as Ebays drop kicks out NSP. I knew FC had lost some. Dr I know has picked up a bunch (so hopefully that takes them from Ghost town to semi-normal) and I have a sneaking suspicion that AR has picked up a few as well. ET I am not sure. They beat me out for Allstar’s little 10 man I know that.
To my knowledge we have picked up about 20 guys. a small guild group + panda’s pull ins.
My personal hope has been for us all to end up something like even from this. THAT is where the fun lies, in fighting fair fights on the open field and not having to go into some sandbox to GvG. That to me has always been the shining star of Bronze Leagues.
I actually really enjoy siege fights in keeps and towers too, but when you can pit yourself against someone else on one of the WvW maps and it MATTERS, that just the best.
I think GoM-Dh-SF is a really good matchup but I have a feeling DR is gonna kick us out of t6. We just don’t quite have the numbers anymore. We used to be so massive for bronze, now we’re large but just not large enough :/.

This screenshot is from last week (I haven’t been on ET for 2 months) If I remember correct, it’s Wednesday or Thursday (Maybe even friday prior reset, but less problable).
I belive we had 1 large group (I’d say somenthing between 20-30) defending our borderland against another GoM zerg, and that’s why our EB corner was abandoned.
Yeah, you are correct about we having most of our borderlands… That’s the only map where we have people for most time. As soon as somenthing on ET BL get touched, everyone go running to defend it and we lose our entire EB since no one stay around to defend.
Also, this picture was taken at the same time when someone from EBay posted on the matchup forums that GoM was spawncamping them on EB (So GoM zerg on EB was large enough to spawn camp both servers, but the GoM guy already said they do queue EB, thus why i said it’s only for flavor)
Yeah we did queue up eb. On reset night all of ours guilds are given a task. Example, 2-3 guilds get eb, and 2-3 guilds go each borderland. It works well for us. Appear fly that night we had enough people in eb to do that. Normally we don’t, wvw reset night is popular on Gom. But still on reset night and mat nights we try to have people in each borderland. Normally eb is never qued unless there a event going on. Normally we never spawn camp! I promos you.
I agree with the person who posted this! Come to Gates of Madness! <3 were all friendly and all work awesome together. We’ve got our own website and server team speak for all the guilds and players!

I’m just trying to find a new build, though idk if I should stick with the one I got or not, I have no idea. Don’t know for d/d if it’s better to switch. I would like 30 arcana as my main things as evasive arcana is my favorite trait and helps me so much. But I don’t know what else? At the moment I’m running a 0-0-10-30-30 with berzerker gears and trinkets. I have great survival ability and damage but I think with the new master traits I can find something better. So what do you guys think, any new builds that will be awesome with d/d? I love d/d else and have been a d/d since beta days. :p
Also was thinking about this is there going to be any new build using 30 water and arcana? I like 30 water and arcana for evasive roll and the trait where u switch tow after and you cleanse. Evasive roll helps me stay alive so much while I use berzerker gear and trinkets for power crit damage etc, so any ideas? I’m excited for April 15th!
Or what will be a build with nice damage and defense? I’m running 0-0-10-30-30 which is nice to keep me alive and full berzerker gear and trinkets with dylok runes, high survivability with awesome damage. :p
