Transmuted items are new items. Most mystic forge recipes don’t work anymore after transmuting an item.
You can login to the game with the same data you’re using here. So you can use the email adress there as well. And your username… well, you might wanna have a look to the left…
Delete some mails, your mailbox most probably is full.
This doesn’t belong in the bug forum as well. Maybe the suggestions forum. But I guess, you would have to read forum titles for that.
And did you know you could wear an infused and a non-infused version of the same ascended item on one character? Ah, I forgot… you would have had to read the forums or the wiki to know that.
There is a problem with the way Ascended Gear is purchased. 1 character can buy 2 or more unique items, then that same character can soulbind both of those Unique items to that 1 character (while trying to figure out why you cant have two working at same time), but can only wear one at a time. I read the forums for over an hour to prevent the kind of mistake I made and feel a little cheated out of a months worth of laurels. Other players told me the same thing happened to them or someone they know. You shouldn’t program “Uniqueness” at a point where it is AFTER the FACT. You should program Uniqueness BEFORE the FACT, or During the Fact, so players do not lose a significant amount of game playing time to what I consider to be a programming error on the developers part. The ascended gear should have been programmed to only be able to purchase or possess 1 unique item at a time to prevent people from buying 2 and accidently soulbinding them. You could also have a way to UNSOULBIND them in the event of a mistake. I can give it to another character if you UNSOULBIND my EXTRA SOULBOUND Yakkington’s Ring. Since Laurel merchants are so easy to get to, there is no reason that any character should be allowed to even purchase more than 1 unique item or be allowed to have it in their possession. The fact that you didn’t program UNIQUENESS properly to begin with means you should refund the laurels to those affected by this. Thank you.
This has got absolutely nothing to do with this thread. You would have had to read the OP to know this.

Of course you can save them. I wouldn’t do it for the magic find effect though, since it is the same 50% boost, that you get with the bonfire or karma booster. These 3 can’t be stacked with each other. And with the fireworks, you have an unknown area of effect, where people get the boost. But just if they are there in that second. With the bonfire, people have 30 minutes to get the boost.
If it’s mainly for the fireworks, then give it a go
I don’t see anything special with the zoom levels in those videos. Are you playing a Charr or Norn? Since they are bigger than humans, sylvari and asura, it might look like the zoom isn’t the same.
I got mine. PvE only here, but that works.
The goggles are completely optional. If you do all the other diving locations, then you don’t need it.
[…]
This is actually wrong. If you didn’t already have the divemaster achievement before the new goggles were introduced, you will have to get the new ones too to complete it.
This ain’t a real solution to the current problems, just for firewalling issues. It’s just coincidence that it seemed to work for you, since the general problem obviously has stopped for the moment. For me this is the first game session, where the login didn’t fail and that lasts longer than 1 or 2 minutes since yesterday, 18:00 CEST. And it’s not UK only. I get the impression, that there has been (and maybe again will be) a serious routing issue between Europe and the US affecting some ISPs. You can find a lot of similar threads in the different language forums.

You can stack your karma boosts up to 95%. That doesn’t mean, you’ll get 95% karma back from orrian boxes. With the maximum boost, it is about 65-75% of the invested karma.
And to confirm: with a starting karma of 1.000.000 and reinvesting all karma with maximum karma boosts you can expect sellable items worth about 40 Gold plus some obsidian shards.
Just keep in mind, that there currently is this bug with the karma boosts, and use the workaround:

I even assume, the dungeon won’t be there from the 5th on, since then Mai Trin will be put into jail in LA.
According to the updated patch notes, Mai will be in her cell from the 5th of july on, just like according to the original announcements.

The problem is, that these kind of threads are being opened all aorund the forums about every second day. And in most cases they just lead to several people posting their bad luck of the day with 5-50 rares. In some cases it most probably has been the try to influence the market. And in one case yet, there really has been a bug. And in this special case, there has been a lot of relevant samples provided by different players in pretty short time. In all other cases not. And this will be the next example.
Why not wait, if someone with relevant data opens a thread? And why not just assume, that it is bad luck, when there is no thread?
Umm, but you did notice the fused and sclerite weapons? Ok, they were put behind RNG with low chances, but they still where there.
Or are you just talking about armor skins?
(edited by WaxWorm.8574)
You can ask what you want, if you’re into senseless discussions. It will just lead to nothing, just like all the other times, this question was asked or this assumption was made without relevant backing data.
I just wanted to convince you to ask yourself one question before opening a similar thread in the future:
“How probable is it, that I am the first one to notice, when I am only salvaging some low number?”
But I guess that is just as senseless…
Again: if you can’t provide a relevant sample size yourself, at least refrain from opening a thread. If there was a change, there would be enough players with relevant sample sizes and you would already find a thread with the according data. You surely wouldn’t be the first to notice.
So: as long as there is no thread with at least several players with relevant sample sizes, there most probably just isn’t any change.
With a sample size of 25 this is just absolutely in normal range. Please stop assuming any nerfs or changes with sample sizes below several hundreds. It just doesn’t make sense. If there really is a change – be it intentional or not – there are enough players salvaging hundreds or thousands of rares per day. Be sure that they would notice it and hit the forums pretty quick. Just like it has happened the one and only time yet, where there really had been a change.
And to provide some data: salvaged several hundreds. Everything in normal range as well.
Most probably it is meant to be like that. Just like the little holgraphic walls you had to go through, when entering the area.
This is what the support-ticket-system is for:
It’s not a bug, it’s the animation of the signet of rage.

… per character. And that’s the point!
And what about cultural armor already bought for that character?

I can confirm that behaviour. As a workaorund you can disable the right-click-interaction in the game options.
I guess you’re using invisible bags/safe boxes as inventory? Then they’re just doing what they’re intended to do
But it would make no sense to just walk up to the ones without a cog. If you did that, there soon wouldn’t be any holo-projectors with aetherblades anymore, since half of them would respawn with “normal” holograms.
In cases like this, you will have to file a support-ticket:

The bug has obviously been introduced with the patch from may 28th and hasn’t been acknowledged by ANet yet. But at least there is a workaround.
And please file an ingame bug report if you haven’t yet.
You can always just access the guild vault and guild upgrades of your actual home server. When transferring to another server, you can’t take the guild upgrades with you. You will either have to build them up from scratch on the new server or transfer back to your old home server. To get your stuff out of the (old) guild vault, you will have to transfer back.
It is a word with a possible rude meaning in Spanish and has already been changed in their localisation.
And when was the last time, you did these events with this character? If it’s less than 24h ago: you will only receive the chest once per character and day and the reset will be in 2 minutes!
I filed an exploit-report too some hours ago before the first fix. I had hoped that they fixed it silently but obviously they didn’t.
Same on Drakkar Sea.
The 25% chance for rare mterials has got nothing to do with ectos. It’s just for higher level materials (so orichalcum ore, gossamer scraps and hardened leather sections in this case). The rate of 0.9 ectos per rare (lvl68+ with master’s kit) has been researched and backed with cumulated sample sizes, that no single person alone will ever be able reach. And to add: I am salvaging several hundreds, sometimes thousands of rares per day and I also can confirm the long time rate of 0.9.
Did you try to take all minis out of the bank and putting them back in?
You don’t need it outside the instance. Just go to the subjects and talk to them. After you talked to all 5, get back to LA and talk to Kiel. You will then get another one in the instance, where you will need it again.
Also: it’s not the Sample Detector! It just has the same icon. The Sample Detector was used during the Southsun event. This time it’s called an Investigation Kit.
As soon as you aren’t using 4 weapons of the same type, the output is a weapon of same or one level higher rarity and of random type. Only if you use 4 weapons of the same type, the output will be of the same type.
It should work like that, yes.
Can you be absolutely sure, that you did use 4 staves? Because some sceptres or spears might look like a staff on first sight.
Sure you didn’t just fall for the cosmetic change of cumulating the values of the item itself and the “virtual” upgrade on ascended gear? The +5 agony resistance of an infused ascended item is now also shown in green. Please check that.
Look under “My transactions” / “Items I’m buying”. Most probably, the rest of your order has been put up as custom buy order.
There are two monthlies. PvE and PvP. The first one you complete, gives you the laurels, the second one intentionally does not. Could it be, that you just finished your second monthly?
Good news! I did a test this morning, and a jug gave me boosted karma. So I dropped a fire and a banner, nibbled a booster and a chocolate bar, and swigged away with bonuses. No relog needed.
I was at +65% and got 7200 per jug, I hope that math works out.
Actually it doesn’t work out, since with +65% you should have gotten 7425 per jug. So there’s at least 5% missing in this case.
Also: the bonfire and the booster give the same buff. They don’t stack. You shouldn’t use both since it’s a waste.
And as long as you don’t tell us the exact steps of your tests and don’t even check the math yourself, I will remain leery of your results. Where did the initial boost come from and why did you have to use boosts afterwards if you already had working boosts? How much did you get out of this first jug? Also 7200, right?
I assume the following:
You already had some boosts (60% in total) active from your last session with this character. They don’t run out, when you’re not playing the specific character. And they were working, because you logged out and in after applying the boosts, be it knowingly and intentional or not. It doesn’t matter, if there’s a minute or a week between logging out on a character the last time and logging back in on the same character the next time. That’s why your inital jug showed a working boost. All following boosts you applied (should have been 65%), actually didn’t change anything for the jugs you drank directly afterwards. Those new boosts would have worked, if you had relogged after applying them. They could be working when you log on to that character the next time if you have logged out before their time ran out..
This would fit exactly with the behaviour that I observed.

Obviously they really think, that letting the cannons sink the ship would be the right way to do this event. Sounds like fun though… ^^

You will also find a workaround there. The problem seems to have been introduced with the patch on may 28th. Until now there hasn’t been any acknowledgment by ANet.
[heaviest ingotsx250] x [the amount of items you can send]
I would have thought that chests might be heavier than ingots. With heavy armor boxes of course being the heaviest. And they’re stackable too.
Either post in english or go to the french forum:
http://forum-fr.guildwars2.com/
Also: crash reports should preferrably be done via ingame bug report.
Maybe it happens, when they already stand somewhere, where they can press “F” for something? Would make sense to not block them from doing what they intended to do there.
Actually there is +5 Agony Resistance on it. The last green line.
