no they won’t stop because WvW is a small game mode and the mode that makes anet work economy is PvE this has been said repeatedly for the past 3 years and people still spam the forums about changes. what you need is a big player base to organise and say: ENOUGH ALREADY.

in a different game with a big space and tons of system and battles of 1-6k we can get things changed in matter of days because people work together to make it an amazing game with the Devs.

it started up vizunah vs sfr vs piken but piken shouldn’t have fought in final matchup because they were ranked 4th instead jade sea should have fought against us because they are tied with sfr rank 2.

also more and more pugs came to sfr when season began there was no closing the servers no instead Arenanet asked for 3 hours+ que t1 that’s amazing. no wonder they stick to silver league so they got latterly no que but they let t1 be harmed and lose good ppls and get bad quality.

sfr lost week 1 because of massive achievement too be expected there was que all hours except night was short if we had recruited lots of night capping guilds with a miracle we could make close one.

I know the feeling when I reseted jade sea keep at prime time they had like 9-10 warriors lined up on wall roaming around xD was epic prime time.

also great job Troma for rebuilding vizunah remember few months ago when my morning crew were destroying vs piece by piece and I told you srsly had to do something and you did a great job<3

WvW is all about number of players. Nothing can counter a large zerg except another large zerg. It doesn’t matter how upgraded a location is or how much seige is built inside, the zerg will win, especially against a tower or supply camp.

Things flip too easily and frequently. This is good right now since the achievements are based on this principle. But honestly, it shouldn’t be like this. Structures should be sturdier, and something should counter the zerg.

One simple correction could be that the “legendary” defenders and guards scale to the number of enemies in proximity to it. If you don’t like getting one-shot, make them have nasty AOE attacks. Anet certainly doesn’t hold back when it comes to the Nightmare content.

Force strategy: How many times have I been in or near a zerg that busts easily through a fully-upgraded tower only to drain its supply and move on with no intention of upgrading? I propose that towers specificly award no points for ownership until a new, gold-free, but supply-required upgrade is completed. This would force a server to take a supply camp first and hold the structure until enough yaks supplied the tower with this basic upgrade. Towers and Keep should be stragetic strongholds. How many towers, keeps, and SM itself have trebs built on the supply depot? That is ridiculous. The only strategic place to put a treb in most towers is on the supply depot so that it can still hit things, but forces an opponent to actually take the tower to destroy it. The outer area of SM is a huge EMPTY area with trebs build on the various supply depots. Anet, I think you can design something better than that.

Personally, I think Keeps should have more than 1 level, with a gate in-between. Have permanent traps fall from above, triggered by players. The defending server should have the advantage — by a lot. The borderland Garrison has 5 outer gates to baby-sit. Why does it take more effort to defend it than to overtake it? Why build a tower if you’re not going to put a mass weapon on top of it? For the view? It should be a strategic structure. What castle doesn’t have dozens of guards defending it?

If the structures remain basically useless besides awarding points, the answer will always be numbers. Why have the matchup at all?

disagree 28 pugs in eb(sfr) fought and won against 60+ jade sea at klovan couple days ago was best moments this week.

its all about invidually skills mastering your class and how good you are to stick on commander its also how the commander play where he go how he engage the enemy and what skill set up he use communication between the zerg too.

jade sea is a server of runners they always run from a fight even at golanta when they see my ugly pink charr guardian come at them with 10 guys behind they now that a zone blob comes 5 seconds after and they run. 80 guys run from 11 players when they could kill them and create chaos….. epic.

elona may not have the coverage anymore but they still got strong leadership and commanders one day they will probably be wiping off servers again.

Just been doing some points calculations!

If my math is correct and if nothing ‘really’ weird happens in the next 2 weeks, those should be the final scores:-

Vizunah Square 35 assumes 5 pts in week 6/7
Searfarer’s Rest 27 assumes 5 pts in week 6, 1pt week 7
Jade Sea 27 assumes 3 pts in week 6, 5pts week 7
Piken Square 25 assumes 3 pts in week 6/7

Which in hindsight means Piken did us a great favour edging out Jade Sea from 1st to 2nd. If they had not done that, then SFR would have come 3rd instead of joint 2nd, thanks Piken!

Also, if Piken had taken the harder path in week 1 and sided with SFR against VIZ, its very, very likely they would have ended up better than there eventual 4th position. Potentially, the way things worked out, if SFR/Piken had double teamed SFR would have finished 1st and Piken 2nd.

Sadly, by being silly and hating each another we handed victory to the 2 French servers, giving them 1st and jt 2nd.

Hope, everyone learns those lessons if there is a season 2 WvW league.

yesterday I finally got back to gw2 again<3

sfr prime time atm is very good guilds can make the raids eternal still got some que but it gets better and the ppls there have finally understood how important teamspeak is so a large part of eb using ts and listening.
yesterday leading in eb I saw an amazing part of the zerg following dropping everything I want perfect location on top of me just amazing.

ques in borderlands low again no problem raiding guilds can make their raid again etc.
(one borderland outmanned for a minut at 18:00 haven’t seen that for 8 months)

sfr 5 weeks ago had serious hugh problems we had a 3 hours que at 9 ocklock. our tactic worked with map jumping we made a powerful squad and we map jumped then we made a secondary squad and we map jumped.
this is something I started In the summer when we were losing against even elona and it went really successfully to be able to jump in eb/borderlands 24/7 have SM as center point.

but basically all our strategies those first weeks in league didn’t work I could only play first days because of personal reasons so I didn’t see second week and so on but from words from friends even if piken team up against vizunah the fact still is vizunah a) they had 1 week vacation and b) sfr couldn’t man 100% raids.

when we meet vizunah now if all our players focus 150% to play to win it would be a really close fight.

and when we meet vizunah again im gonna kill crazz in eb<3
hopefully troma play in eb too so I can wipe him hard

I joined this game with a guild we played for a short while then Anet properly announced they want this to be a casual pve game and they wont focus on the WvW so everyone went back to eve online or now raiding planetside2 and bf4 e sport.

look at the league major lots of pve ppls with no skills at all joined WvW and destroyed it. its sad WvW was made by anet its such a good mode maybe if some more e sports company made it would reach its fullest potential.
