If you’re in Offensive mode during CA, shouldn’t you start 2,3 for the area retaliation? Or is area ret, not what it use to be.
nice advice about the 5/cancel…does it also give slow and cripple? or is that at the end of the heal?
Quinn Wintersnight, Guardian
Easiest:
If you are in Sapphire, just use 5 trap with meta. People will face plant into it most times. Wait till the fight gets going before you blow them. Always use 1 instant then the 1/2 delayed one so you get both dazes.
Intermediate: Current Metabattle build
Hardest: Kiting Style Mes Build and Video
Hardest: Hammer Style Falselights build and video

DH hasn’t had serious PvP representation since launch.
It’s too telegraphed and slow. The main attack has the most obvious cast animation in the game through a 1 second rooted crouch, they might as well make us shout ‘dodge roll’.Some people like to play it to climb ladders and farm people that stand on point in traps and symbols. Which is apparently the level of player it has been balanced around.
Meanwhile Revenant has been in every team since launch through Condi and Power specs taking up 1 or 2 spots and everything is fine.
While also providing more group boons than a Guardian can.
I’m sure you’re frustrated Ezrael – Guard is in a tough spot. Hopefully there is some small changes coming today(unnerf Trueshot). Please don’t be a forum stereotype – I was asking a question that was important to me. I would like to get better at Guard and wanted to know who has worked hard at it to become good in this game right now. I am trying to get better at this class – not wallow in the past or worry about what the other class has.
I have seen Mes’s videos and he is not a 4 trap spam Guard and he is very mechanically sound. I was wondering if there are others to watch.
Quinn Wintersnight, Guardian
And what specs do they play?
In no particular order:
Mes NA- Kiting DH LB/GS Travelers Air/Fire x2
Moob(s) NA – don’t know if he still plays guard
Tage EU
I find it funny Moob(s) is censored – maybe because of (bs)

Im curious, what do other eSports get for viewership?
also, there is not really build diversity, but there was class diversity ..a lot. from what I’ve seen, no matter which game you play, there is always a “best” build.
Overall, it is a lot better than it use to be and is on the right track.
Quinn Wintersnight, Guardian
the warriors in ESL yesterday didn’t do so well. There were a few times where there were 1v1s vs Mes and the warrior just couldn’t handle it. I am referring to the NA League. I was curious to see if War could handle high level, and they did – but overall, the Thief did a better job of helping the team. When the warriors had to handle 1v1s, they generally failed (from what I saw).
Quinn Wintersnight, Guardian
not unless it always removes might or prot… but considering it’s technically a random removal due to the numerous boons that are constantly getting applied, it’s not nearly something to consider. imo.
Awesome! thanks for the answer. What should I be using with my play type.
Quinn Wintersnight, Guardian
Question – is this a wasted slot?
Build: meditrapper with Travelers runes
Gameplay style – Kiting 1on1 (like Mrauls), team-fights
GS/LB
LB uses Air and Nullification on
I am stripping about 50 to 100 boons per match depending.
Is this worth it? What are better options right now.
thank you for your help
Quinn Wintersnight, Guardian
I’d hate to be the wrong side of the 3 v 1 vs Supcutie. After that happens, you just rage quit and kick the dog on your way to getting a beer.
Quinn Wintersnight, Guardian
Tarcis – thanks for this! I am just coming back off a very long break from the game and would like to dust off my warrior.
Can you go deeper into the M/Sh side of the build. What are the goals of the play-style. Can you post some of your vids palying this so we can understand match ups and rotations better.
thanks for doing this type of stuff again!!

Good Luck today – looking forward to watching the match!

I havent played a ton with that build. The major condi bomb is shroud 4 within a chill or poison field. Stay at long, long range as long as possible. Reaper stab is predictable so use lb4 to out range him for as long as possible and unload all the lb dmg you have. He will use shroud 2 to gap close. if you see this, swap to your alt weapon and use the movement skill to run away. GS and staff are better than sw/d for this since theres no delay on the movement. Continue to kite. This works best with a build with higher dmg.
No matter who opens or at what range you start, you want to stay at range unless youre playing a weird maul build. If you have to fight on point this will be harder. For this situation, try to stay JUST out of range of shroud 4 when he enters shroud. Avoid the bolts that shoot out with the gs block or the staff 5. If you are just out of melee range your block wont proc the kick. You must dodge shroud 5 if he uses it, it’s pretty easy to see. Remember that entering ca clears condis. cast a few ca 2s even when you have very few condis as it procs a few seconds later.
thanks to both of you.

Build: JCbroe Mender
I saw Eura beat a Reaper yesterday on ESL but the fight was Reaper pov for only a second.
I just don’t understand the animations and when I should go offensive vs defensive
What is his “Condi Bomb” what does that really mean and what should I look for to anticipate it.
Scenarios: Assume all CDs and full life force and AS ready or a couple of seconds till ready
If I see him first at ranged
If he opens up on me first at ranged
If I see him first in melee
If he opens up on me in melee

thanks fellas! JC, did you mean to leave Paladins on your Menders build? Or do I need the Menders Amulet?

So, you’ve seen the topics by everybody else, not with the purpose of bragging of self-promotion, but to share some general tips and builds from their experience.
First off is a basic tip; if you think/know you have middle/high MMR (which is how the system determines your teams), you can queue at off peak hours to skew the matches because the game this season is only assembling individual teams by similar MMR, not matching teams by it. So, you can either get a game where you get blown out (happens if you aren’t the highest MMR in the pip range), get even matches, or you end up being the team blowing the other team out. Queuing at off hours reduces the available population, so if you know you are going to queue with high quality teammates, you can basically gamble on having more wins than losses and climbing during that timeframe than during peak hours.
Anyhow, with that out of the way, 2 builds:
Paladins (I played this mostly up until Sapphire and then making my Mender’s v Paladins thread): http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vNAQJAWRnUqA9sg1CCOsActglOB7pFMAWYOBuAQhDelGT3plI9zA-TpBFABFt/ABXAAAeAAMcEAa4QA8fZAAMender’s (I played this from Sapphire until Legendary): http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vNAQNAW8YnUqA9sgVsCOsActglOBDelOT3pO9tAQh7pFEqWYlI9zA-TpBFABA8AAI4CA0wBB4/yAis/ADHBAA
I would personally consider the Mender’s build the better performing build, though it’s probable that it’s less “safe” with the lack of toughness, but it’s capabilities just ended up far out-competing anything else I tried.
Notes:
- On teams with only one necromancer and no other sources of “poison spam,” switch Evasive Purity to Vigorous Training for more dodge potential for you and your team, and more boons to fuel your, and more importantly, your pet’s damage with Bountiful Hunter.
- On the Mender’s build, the runes and Natural Healing both regenerate Astral Force, which is important because if your regen is getting corrupted, you might end up struggling to get Astral Force up every 10 seconds, and if you aren’t regaining Celestial Form on cooldown, then it leaves openings for the other team to take you and your teammates you without you being able to do much for them, and it leaves you susceptible to condi-bombs without Astral Force.
- Use Strength of the Pack intelligently, but also often. Particularly, safe rezzes and stomps can cause team fights to absolutely steam roll in your favor. Also, most necros in the game right now won’t be able to kill you without fearing you, which also applies to Dragonhunters, so 90% of the time, SotP is your “I win” button against these classes.
- Swap to Glyph of the Tides if you are going to play decap (don’t recommend doing this unless you know your rotations perfectly and can guarantee you’ll win 99-100% of all your duels). I’d also do this if you know you’re up against farpoint heroes and want to defend home indefinitely.
That’s all I can think of at this moment. Any comments or questions, I’ll be responding and interested to hear what you all have to say.
I just came back a few weeks ago as a core Ranger after about 15 months off. I played unranked until I had the feel of it again. I was really good in Ranked back then, so I wasn’t surprised when I went through first 3 Tiers with about 2 losses. Then I hit a wall, now I am having an 80% loss rate. I’m getting really frustrated and want to be like I was – losing 4 out of 5 matches over about 40 matches so far is getting old. I guess I’m just not good enough on my core ranger to win so I bought the expansion for Druid. So I’m clear, this isn’t an MRR hell thing – it’s a skill thing. I think I am where I belong, but I want to do better.
So sir – my questions to you
How do I druid? assume your or Euras Final Form build
Specifically to pugs:
What classes do I see coming and run? – assume meta
What classes should I be able to beat always? – assume meta
What classes should I be able to beat if my skill and rotations are stronger?
What is your job in the beginning of the match?
* Do I cap home first, then head to mid so I’m on a ledge for S&R – or do I follow mid pack at beginning?
What is your job in mid-match?"
* When fighting as your type of Druid, do I still stand off point and range attack Called target – or is dps second and support Condi Clears/Heals primary role?
* Do I Chase Far when I see an opening – or do I always leave it and follow the pack.
I don’t mean things like – Don’t kill the Beast, or always be using the mini-map.
I understand rotations, maps, communicating in pugs and general knowledge of the class. What I don’t understand yet – is how Druid is different than GS/LB Ranger from a year ago.
Quinn Wintersnight, Guardian
im a new player. just started 3 months ago. ive been playing hot joins the whole time…only for 2 weeks have i been playing rateds. i just reached legendary today abd won 6 games in legendary so far. i watched alot of guides like buckets and helseth on how to rotate and many other guides before i started playing rateds. ppl complaining about being stuck in a certain divisions, quite clearly its you and you need to improve. look at guides and see where you did wrong when you lose games…right now im at a %85 win rate. played necro ele and mes depending on comp
So what you are selling here… is that you started this game 3 months ago, and played unranked to learn 3 professions from scratch. then, you jumped in Ranked and have an 85% win rate on those 3 professions. that is a lot of knowledge for someone who just picked up the game – you should speak to Phanta, Supcutie, or Muffinz – one of those guys. You’re a legend – Nos and Wakkey have nothing on your pure awesomeness.
PS – you did all this in 2 weeks of Ranked as a brand new player – lol
Quinn Wintersnight, Guardian
The match making system is clearly inferior to Season 1. Mixing MMR + division pip range was an epic mistake and I am still waiting for an apology from Arenanet. The current system leads to countless of pointless matches of either huge losses (and no chances of winning) and huge wins (and no chances of losing) as the “better” players are placed in team A and “worse” players in team B.
One guy did a math simulation to prove the MMR hell is true. See:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/pvp/The-nature-of-MMR-hell/It is also obvious that the removal of amulets of was just a lazy band aid “fix”, which didn’t fix the core issue of the power creep since trait rework and most importantly the overpowered elite specs. Now we have more burst and less bunkers, but amount of builds seen is not significantly better or worse.
I agree 100% with what you say. I also saw that theorycrafting post and agree with that too. Elite specs are way too OP, basically forcing anyone who wants to play in PvP to “buy the expansion”. I thought the devs said that wouldn’t be necessary? They could always up some of the non elite skill trees to make them more viable. However, Anet chooses to just be greedy it seems and make these stupid meta OP all around.
I agree with the band aid fix too. They didn’t need to remove those amulets and runes (some of which I used to use). They should have just tweaked or added more to counter them better. They tried to remove the bunker aspect but now the condition / burst crap is way out of control.
I don’t own the expansion – I just came back and only play my ole GS/LB ranger – have only lost 3 matches in the first three jewels. Maybe gs/lb ranger is OP, not sure – but I’m doing well after taking a year off.
Quinn Wintersnight, Guardian
Chaith we got into this discussion because you were talking about “carry mentality”. I called malarkey. Now you are saying team mates are irrelevant and a good player can help win a winnable game.
You ceased making sense a long time ago give up.
I agree with Chaith. I haven’t played this game in over a year, came back and just went 100% in Jewel 1, lost 1 in Jewel 2, and then lost 2 in Jewel 3 (1 was a 4v5, 1 was a loss on that new map ) PS – I’m playing Core Ranger – haven’t purchased the expansion.
I’m doing well because I know my role still and when and where to engage and disengage. Carrying People doesn’t mean – 1 v 3ing people. It means /team chat and knowing what to do to help the team win.
We’ll see where I level off – won’t be legendary most likely this season – I don’t know enough about the new skills and system – but I’ll get there again.
Quinn Wintersnight, Guardian
OK, here was my original rough analysis of the flaws in the MMR system:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/pvp/A-serious-examination-of-S2-MMR-Math-Inside
But since a majority of the forum base thinks I’m wrong, and swears there is no MMR hell………I offer you a challenge:
Prove me wrong and I’ll buy you SHINIES! (Some random stuff from the gem store)(NA Server)
If a dev wants to play, I’ll chip in cash to a charity of their choosing.Challenge 1 (Small Shiny): Prove a player with system MMR in the bottom 5% but actual skill of 75% for his matchmaking area can obtain a system MMR that reflects his skill. Assume he’s at 0 pips in Ruby.
Challenge 2 (Big Shiny): Prove a player with system MMR in the bottom 5% but actual skill of 50% for his matchmaking area can obtain a system MMR that reflects his skill. Assume he’s at 0 pips in Ruby.
Challenge 3 (Win Both Shinies and a bonus Shiny): Create a simulation (sim1) using the available information for this season, create a simulation (sim2) using purely GLICKO for matchmaking. Run both. Find that sim1 produces MMR for players with at most twice the error generated by sim2. Feel free to use any statistically valid method for calculating error
Best to assume a normal distribution of players, but I’ll probably pay out for a uniform distribution solution.
Requirements:
Math and example cases, no anecdotal evidence.
You must assume MMR is an accurate predictor of game win loss.
You must assume all players other than the player trapped in hell have accurate MMR. You must use the current S2 matchmaking sytem.
Other than that, no solutions that rely on a small percentage chance event to occur or require an inhumanly possible number of games.
No solutions that require everyone (or most or a lot or etc) above that player to rank out of that area.
No solutions relying on disconnections or team play.
No solutions requiring the player to sit out playing a portion of the season. You’re proving that this players skill will get him where he belongs.
You have 24 hours…..enjoy…..

I haven’t played in over a year – where is my MRR? Do I start at the bottom? or mid level with large volatility?
Quinn Wintersnight, Guardian
Thank you both for your responses. I think I am just going to stick with my old account for now. I’ll just keep playing until I stabilize and see what happens there.
Quinn Wintersnight, Guardian
For my own curiosity I have been solo queuing on an alt account playing core ranger. Going through Ruby I had a 100% winrate.
https://www.twitch.tv/eurantien/v/56788837
Honestly, I didn’t feel under powered at all. With proper pet control I was able to CClock my way through most of my opponents.
I remember you – you’re the Pro guy that was playing gs/lb in the finals a year ago..or sometime around then?
I see you have Spike Trap and no LR – is spike trap that good now? I haven’t done much playing around with stuff. What do you suggest for utilities for a return GS/LB? I don’t have much field vision because it’s been a year so I need some “resets” like LR
Also, is the Ruby Tier as bad as the forum warriors say – or is it just another bracket?
Quinn Wintersnight, Guardian
thanks for your help Fluffball
Quinn Wintersnight, Guardian
Is the expansion worth it for Ranger PvP only? My Ranger playstyle is kiting.
I was pretty good back in the day at this game, now, I’m back and in the 80% win rate with a modified Power Survival build.
I’m almost to Ruby – where people are saying you get stuck and more team skill is needed – is my lack of Druid line going to impact me/team that much?
Second question – can I use that Smoke Scale to blast a 3 second stealth in pvpon myself and teammates – or is that wvw/pve stuff?
Not sure I could give up my GS mobility and blocking for the staff – but maybe if I could stealth it might be interesting.
Quinn Wintersnight, Guardian
Haha good spoted
nice anyway I always believe that you play what you enjoy playing the most ( unless it is utter crap
haha.
Rangers got bad rep but they are not that weak as people want them to make they are just harder to get similar results. No big dealBut Reallllly happy to see that!!! Gz to Eurantien and great team that let him to run something which is not viewed as current meta.
Yeah, the synergy b/n him and SupCutie was epic and a lot of fun to watch…their effin portal plays were really awesome.
Quinn Wintersnight, Guardian
Condi rangers get stomped because they clean condis like mad.
Pew pew rangers will struggle to inflict enough damage to overcome their heals.Any suggestion ?
condi beats dd – you have to wait till he leaves water, then blow them up – you can outlast them as a condi.
There are several videos on how to do it – or watch Eura in the finals from last week – he did well against Phantaram imo
gl – just practice, count the 2 dodges, wait till he clears first set in water, apply poison and axe chill, then unload on him…you will get there
this is the 5000 ft overview – a lot of defensive and offensive stuff inside of this – but that is the over-arching theme.
Quinn Wintersnight, Guardian
theres several reasons having such ridiculous range is broken in rangers only
1 ranger’s gain 30% damage by simply being a 1000 range distance so not only they gain ridiculous damage but they do so while having twice the range of all game classes as not all have 1500 range
2 what makes rangers hard to counter at times is their pets sure you can have a reflect but once you get feared you ll be knocked back then rapid fired then knocked back by the ranger and finished
to this day i see no one giving a valid reason as to why rangers would Need 2000 range people already complianed that engineers were overpowered because they had 1500 range on slow glowing arcing low damage grenades you avoid by moving to the side why is this diferent on rangers ?( before someone says they are aoe rangers have piercing arrows both hit 5 targets)
4, im not hating on ranger but when i am hitting for 4k auto attacks without might stacks from ranges no one can reach leaving no counter play i clearly see theres a lack in fairplay . its as easy as sending pet for cc or distraction pop up the signet of the wild and bam 8s of 25% extra damage ontop of the 30% gained from being away and stability .
and the 4k value is with pvp stats , so you guess for how much i hit in wvw , so far i ve hit at tops 14.4k damage with rapid fire and havent bought scholar runes nor gotten damage sigils like force and bloodlust.
a 4k auto attack? seriously…that’s what you’re selling here? So I can 3 shot a thief with auto attacks? I’m coming back to this game…..this is great!
Now we know how to beat The Adjured…just get 5 LB Rangers each auto attacking anyone…wahoo! $25,000 here I come.

Ranger is viable. Cele specs are OP. If you buff ranger you create an even bigger powercreep.
They just need to nerf cele amulet.
I disagree – I don’t think the cele amulet is OP, I think the ability to might stack so fast for d/d Ele and shoutbow is the issue.
Giving a ranger more high-end tools that raise the skill bar, is a good thing.
Cele engi does not stack might it’s still OP. The damage was never the real problem, the sustain is. Shoutbow does a relatively bad damage but it’ll outsustain nearly everything in a 1v1 and it’s just spamming.
Why do you think a cele duel lasts forever?
We can both agree – that we both think the other is unbelievability bad at this game and leave it at that.
I came here with an idea on how to help the ranger class have more high-end pvp tools that don’t buff damage.
Enjoy your day
Quinn Wintersnight, Guardian
Thief’s easy access to stealth isn’t the reason they have a spot in high level pvp, it’s their mobility. Right now we can compete with them for a spot on a couple maps but when they can do things like teleport directly into the clock tower while we have to run around there is no reason to bring a ranger over a thief.
The main hand dagger suggestion is more about being able to fight on point while having full control of your character more than it is about damage.
I didn’t say it was the reason, I said it would help.
Giving rangers more tools is what I’m trying to figure out… without giving them more damage tools – which no one is going to give to the Ranger
Right now, the LB Ranger brings heavy, single target ranged pressure, but very weak team utility in every other way
So, how can we help to give the lb ranger more team utility, without more damage, while at the same time giving him some better escape and/or team stomp/rez support
Having lightening reflexes as a leap is one good idea as it would allow us to jump over fences to kite a little better.
Another is access to 1 more stealth tool that requires a weapon switch, and a 2 step process… which would be harder to pull off and give team utility.
Quinn Wintersnight, Guardian

I think the only thing ranger needs is a vertical port to compete for the role of a thief or mesmer.
As far as bunkering goes I think we need a new main hand weapon. I’d say dagger with bleeds on auto attack, a forward leap on a short cool down for dagger 2, and an evasive roll backwards while crippling and poison on dagger 3.
This would keep with the evasive play style of the ranger but it would be a much smoother weapon for fighting on point. Sword is great for dueling but if you are fighting multiple people on point the forced leaps are a big handicap.
I like your suggestions, but those would increase damage, I’m not sure we need any increase in the damage department.
Adding a Leap to Lightening Reflexes gives would give strong players more tools to be successful, without giving more damage to the class.
I like the idea of a teleport… would be nice
My idea to give Muddy Terrain a smoke field would help us compete for the thief spot due to it’s area stealth ability, but would not increase our damage abilities.
What do you think?
Quinn Wintersnight, Guardian
For brand new players (listed in order of easiest to hardest):
1. Turret Engineer
2. Ranger/Warrior
3. Necro
4. DPS Guardian
5. Other Engineer specs
6. Elementalist
7. Mesmer
8. ThiefFor players who already know the game decently well mechanically/rotationally (easiest to multiclass and be effective high tier):
1. Warrior
2. Engineer
3. Elementalist
4. DPS Guardian
5. Ranger
6. Necro
7. Thief
8. MesmerAgree
Agree +1
Quinn Wintersnight, Guardian
How can we make Ranger viable without adding to his pressure abilities which is on par, but get his team utility and/or survivability on par with the other dps classes in tournaments.
I think adding to the combo finisher abilities would help.
1. Lightening Reflexes becomes a Leap
this would encourage Healing Spring and give us the ability to leap over the short fences.
2. Muddy Terrain – Could be a smoke field.
this would encourage s/wh which would give us access to a 3 second area stealth.
A 3 second area stealth would give benefits in tournaments
In a fight, it only helps disengages and resets, not damage or point cap
Using s/wh and a utility slot is same principle as Engi Stealth and 1 of Mesmer
stealth’s. Using a utility slot also means we have to either run YOLO 66xxx
without a condi clear or switch to 6006. This would lower the mid and lower tier
dps, but give high level tier access to more on-demand burst in line with 66xxx
(but they have to work for it.
Also, it would bring the ranger in closer to combat because they can now
stomp or rez on point ( but still not be able to cap point because of stealth)
which points them out of position – but gives them team utility
What do you think?
Quinn Wintersnight, Guardian
Which class would you guys say is the easiest, noob proof class to PvP Arena’s on?
Power Ranger is easier to pick up. You will feel good playing it because you die a lot in lower level pvp. As you get higher quality matches…it will get more difficult. At the highest level of pvp, it’s one of the hardest to play in my opinion.
Quinn Wintersnight, Guardian
I don’t even know what to say.
I was on my d/d celestial ele which I have no idea how to play, and was 1v1ing a full spirit weapon guardian who did nothing but summon spirits then buff them with his staff. I tried to AOE them down.
A d/d cele ele complaining about something….

I know for a fact that every streamer listed here stream very often and you’re the one coming here asking for help so instead of criticizing the people trying to help you with links to streamers of actual esports games instead of this poopy butt game, why don’t you support the people listed here with a follow and you’ll be able to know when they start their stream so you can tune in!

So after a while I’ve decided to try my ranger in pvp. Both WvW and spvp. I’ve picked a power build. What I found out is that the longbow is great, but the GS needs more on-point fighting potential. (I may be noob at playing ranger, but its not my first class.) I saw some guy using 1H sword+dagger for the second weapon set. Well the 1H sword is a power based weapon also (top weapon for PvE), wouldnt that work with a power build? I saw ROM taking steps to this direction as well. Look at his new build. He uses leeching and hydromancy on GS, and also took the skirmishing traitline instead of marksmanship. Which imho allows for a more defensive playstyle while not hindering your damage so bad. So what do you think?
An other question: How about wilderness survival as your survivability traitline instead of nature magic? Survival of the fittest is nice but i find myself using 2 signets (stone & renewal and only keep lightning reflexes) many times and rampage as one instead of entangle. Which only leaves you with one survival skill to trigger that trait. So with this in mind and the changes I saw in ROM’s build I’ve come up with this. Would this work?
Think of your play style and then work with a build.
Are you a Kiting type of Ranger?
Are you an aggressive, Yolo?
Are you aggressive far away, and then defensive when anyone gets close to you?
In my opinion, sword/x is much better except in YOLO. Because you can use the leap of sword to:
- jump over the fences to the cliff in Legacy side point – great against Mesmers or anyone that cant Leap – Ranger GS can only get there from one spot because their leap is after the sprint evade.
- Jump to the ledge or over the ledge in the other side point of legacy and kite around the rocks.
- jump to the column from the break in the bridge in Legacy.
All of this while you evade backward, use 1 off-hand skill, then use the leap to do the leap to your next Range spot. The misdirection is so fast it’s hard to keep up with as another player.

@OP
Like I had a bunch of people raging at the group I was playing with cause we were playing all engis just to have some fun in the queue so we decided to do matches as a full turret group (none of us had been turrets previously) and after winning told the enemy teams with all the ragers “maybe you’ll have a chance to win if you don’t run such cheesy builds” or “you shouldn’t play cheese builds, they make you look bad.” then we just sat back and watched the fireworks
Effin awesome! Oh god…the rage must have burned with the fury of a thousand suns!

No one that is raging like that has a point. There is no need to rage, its just a game.
Also I see people rage without an argument in the first place, so the ‘’ it takes two to get an argument going’’ is not relevant at all.
I completly agree…and that why i made this forum post. NOBODY HAVE THE RIGHT TO INSULT SOMEONE. If i make a mistake then that person can talk without all these kitten , kitten , noooooooob, get reeeeckt…….
And I agree with u wintersnight, that if i do a mistake they r allowed to tell me what i did wrong….but i will never ever accept the fakt that they say bad words to me while that. Its a game…not more and not less.
And for me it really come up to 5 per day…bcs i dont like any use of bad words (so just 1 time telling me to go die is enough to report them…bcs…why should i die?))…and it became so normal to use them in pvp lately…thats why im figthing it !
And plss all who said i should play better….open ur eyes..how will u feel if u r walking in the street and someone just tell u “GO DIE U B****” …thats never nice
You need to look inward, not outward. Fix your sensitivity – let the world worry about it’s self.
PS, what is your in-game name – I’ll try to be less meany-pants to you if I see you in game.
My name is Cindy Lou Who, I play Ranger mostly – or <name> Wintersnight on Engi or Warrior or some new Prof I am trying to learn to counter.
Feel free to hit me up in game, I’ll do a Ranked match with you and if I see you doing stupid, kittened and brain-dead things, I will kindly and politely teach you the ways of pvp.
And lastly, “Bad” words are bad, only because you allow them to be bad in your mind.
Only let someone cause you concern if they hit you with something physical, not words. If they have a gun, you worry, if they have a potty mouth…whatever…they’re the loser, not you.

Have you ever had someone send you whisper after whisper ragin on you? Ever? Without you continuing the discussion with a whisper back? No….maybe once….once. But at a rate of 5 a day, he can only play the game 200 or 300 days before he isn’t playing with anyone.
You see people some times, yell in /team, or worse, in /map. Maybe on rare instances they send you a whisper too – but have you ever seen his example? Ever….he’s saying that people are even doing it while they are winning…come on.
I am all for people toning down the rhetoric or acting like they have played in a team before…but let’s not get caught up in BS too.

There’s usually two sides to every story so I highly doubt that it’s just your play that’s causing this to happen. Shirley you must say something…
I agree – I usually play about 5 to 20 games per day, and I get maybe…maybe 1 rager per 2 days.
If he is raging and telling me or others to do something different, I get past his anger and see if he has a point. If he does have a point, I correct my issue. If he is just raging at the world with nothing except F-this and F that….then I say something inflammatory and then never respond again.
You know…something like the stupid stuff…you so mad or #thesaltisreal or my 12yo sister wants her Whine back. If they are playing a “Cheese” build, I tell them they can’t even win with a cheese build…lol, that really fires them up.
Either way, I only have to be around his personality issues for another 3 to 5 minutes…he has to be around himself the rest of his life…I win!

i usually go with my guild..and we r all friends so they r fine
…problem are the enemies..or when i go alone..
if i block daily 5 player my b-list gets full…
I call BS. We all play this game and none of get so many people spamming us hate chat that there are 5 blocks per day. If that is true – then listen to the people…they are trying to tell you to quit sucking. Grow so thick skin, shave off the insults from the statements and see if there is a theme to their arguments.
It takes 2 to get an argument going! People are allowed to tell you to stop being a tool and chasing far if you keep sucking at it. If you keep chasing far and sucking – maybe you should listen up. Buck up, get your head in the game and fix your error. If you are so effected by the way they say something to you….over the internet….in a video game, then maybe you should work on your Zen Place too. Clearly, you are letting other people pixels effect your day in a negative way.
If you are at the point where 5…count them 5! people are getting blocked by you per day…then you are the problem, not them.
TL:DR It takes 2 to get an argument going. Buck Up, quit letting pixels ruin your day

Is being the best at turret eng something you should brag about?
Yes, if you watch his matches….he’s on a different level than the typical /afkturret guy.
He makes it a viable high-level build. Just like Eura makes LB Ranger viable. IT’s the people a lot more than the abilities.
After I saw him fight, I stopped talking trash to every turret Engi I saw in Ranked. Instead, now I look to see if they are good – 90% are not.

I am still frandly! You’d be salty too if you haven’t played the game in a while and log into Skyhammer, Spirit Watch, and Courtyard! And no I don’t want to play ranked and wait in queue for 15 minutes!
Wahoo! Bye frands!
Once in a while it goes up to 15 minutes. Usually it takes about 2 to 3. Play in Ranked so and drag the others away from unranked back into ranked too.
Why are you so mad… you use to be the funniest people on the forums. Now, you’re just bitter and typical. With your personality, you have the ability to personally save Ranked pvp and make it great again as only you can do. Screw Anet and their ladder ranking crazy point system.
Help us Vee Wee Kenobi, you’re our only hope!

Illiterate could mean many things. In this case I mean it in a sense that Ranger mains are too scared to see the perspective of other classes because of how spoonfed they are with this easy class. Like even Mesmer is harder than this class and that’s saying a lot.
Like I don’t understand why Rangers “brag” about how good they are when in reality they’re only good because this class is easy.
Like learn humility already, Ranger is easy and just happened to be “unviable” which isn’t even true meaning they are still kittened viable.
TL;DR People who play ranger need to stop thinking they’re good. There are so many specs that take more skill than this easy class, like even Cele Engi or Ele takes more skill it’s not even funny.
No, illiterate means 2 things. someone who cannot read or write. Maybe you should pay attention in school and less time worrying about what the Jocks of GW2 are doing.
I wish you all the best.
