I’d like to see storage expansion added to the inventory and the bank so that each slot can hold more than 250 of an item, the same as material storage. I’d also like to be able to stack salvage kits.

Get a free program called NZXT CAM. It will show you where your bottleneck is. It shows % usage on CPU, GPU, and memory. If you create the free account, you can watch your computer’s performance on your smartphone while you play. My computer showed no higher than 26% CPU usage and 100% GPU usage. I upgraded my GPU to a 1080 and my fps skyrocketed, averaging 90, and my GPU usage dropped to 45%. There are still times where my fps drops to 25 when there are lots of other people on the map, but that seems to be a game issue, and not my computer. CPU & GPU % usage is still low.

After a struggle, I was able to max out all of the Tyria masteries before they added the 9 new ones. I’m thinking this was in anticipation of new masteries to come in the expansion.

I built a guild hall up to level 51 so far by myself. (Had 8 friends from another guild help me claim it.) I do Trek & Bounty missions every week by myself. I usually draft other people on the map to help with Bounty.

Unless I missed something, only the Watchwork Mining Pick adds something to your inventory when you use it, namely watchwork sprockets. All of the other tools only differ in animation. I would like to see a Sickle and Axe that give some kind of addition to what you’re harvesting.

I believe the main purpose of guild missions is to earn Favor for the guild. The favor is used to upgrade the guild hall. I belong to 2 guilds. One has completed the guild hall and rarely does missions. The other is level 25 and does every mission possible in order to get the guild hall built.

There are many other activities in GW where a lot more loot can me earned.

I have to disagree. I have i7-5820 k. never see more than 26% cpu usage. I have GTX 690’s in quad SLI. They’re maxed out at 99%.

It would be nice if there were a guild alliance feature in GW2. Some features like shared credit during guild missions would be helpful for the smaller guilds who have trouble putting enough people together for the missions that require high numbers.

I recently bought a 2nd account for 1/day crafting items, PvP potions, & WvW potions for my guild hall. I just created a 2nd email address and used that for the 2nd account. I mail mats from my primary account for crafting the 4 ascended mats every day.

Thanks. My CPU usage never goes above 30%. RAM usage is about 20%. Speedtest says my Internet connection is about 120 Mbps. It’s my GPU’s that are bottlenecking me.

I’m using 2 GTX 690’s in Quad SLI (dual processor cards). FPS dips drastically at times with GPU’s at 100% load and temps at throttling point. I should mention I’m also using 3 monitors at 5760 × 1080.

Is anyone playing GW2 with a GTX 1080? If so, what kind of performance are you getting?

I’m solo building a guild hall. Had 8 friends help me claim it, now I’m farming all of the materials and doing easy guild missions myself. In order to get necessary materials & favor. I have to do PvP & WvW dailies to get PvP potions etc.. Keeps me very busy and there’s always a goal. Guild hall is now at level 15. Also belong to a very active guild where I contributed about 75% of the mats to bring the guild hall to level 65.

Even if it never goes above 60% utilization across all 12 threads?

All other Graphics options maxed.

I get a solid 60 fps 75% of the time in Guild Wars. Where there are many objects on screen such as during Tequatl or Jormag, fps goes down in the 20’s. CPUID HWMonitor shows my max cpu usage in the game at 60%, max on both GPU’s (690 is dual processor) at 100%. I’m assuming the gpu is the bottleneck.

I DON’T want to reduce any of the graphics settings in the game, because face it, the game is beautiful. My question is, would springing for a GTX 1080 reduce the dips in fps? Is it possible there is a bottleneck in the game itself that is causing the dips?

I’m thinking I’m the oldest guy playing Guild Wars 2 (age 68). Have 3,000 hours logged, 12 level characters, spent 96 mastery points. I’m currently in a great guild, mostly young people with twitchy fingers. Looking for older people like myself who might play a little slower and a little more thoughtfully, but still striving for high achievement.

Is there a guild of like-minded people, or maybe some people who would like to start one?

I’d like to see three new features in the game:

1. Universal Inventory Bag: Sell a 20-slot inventory bag in the gem store that will be available to all of your characters. You would be able to keep your salvage kits. boosts, revive orbs, and repair canisters in one place and have them available to whatever character you logged in with.

2. The ability to stack same-kind salvage kits.

3. After you’ve maxed your xp in all mastery categories in either Tyria or HoT, have your xp go toward something. Now there is not incentive to gain xp once you’ve maxed out.;

On 1920 × 1080 gameplay, the glider status bar shows up centered on the screen. On a 3 screen 5760 × 1080 setup, ghe glider status bar shows up centered on the right monitor.

Is this a feature to keep the center screen less cluttered, or is it an oversight?

I also noticed that some of the cut scenes in HoT span all 3 screens, but some are only on the center screen. I have to say that the 3 screen scenes are awesome. Please do more.

After the 8/25 patch I experience a 1 or 2 second screen freeze every time I go underwater. Happens every time. Doesn’t happen when I surface.

Anyone else experiencing similar issues?

Mastery Window

When using 3 monitors (5760 × 1080) the window extends across all 3 monitors and makes it difficult to see. Suggest confining it to the center window.

I agree on customizable slots. Also related to this topic:

Increase bank slots to 1500 capacity the same as material slots.

Put customizable labels on bank slots. (weapons, armor, legendary components, runes/sigils, etc.)

Versatile Resilient Infusion. +5 toughness, +5 agony resistance. It can be added to any type of infusion slot except agony infusion slots.

Ok. Finally got the resources together to craft another Omni infusion. It does show up in the discover panel of my Artificer. Need another like it to do the upgrade.

Understand. Just wanted to know if you can increase the power of omni infusions the same way that agony infusions can be increased.

Agony infusions can be combine to make infusions up to +12. Can the same be done for other infusions.

Just spent a ton of time and gold on creating a Versatile Mighty Infusion, +5 Power & Agony Resistance. Wonder if it can be increased using the same process as for Agony infusions.

I used the Naga for a while and found the buttons were too small and too close together for my hand. I switched to the HEX. Only 6 buttons but they’re larger and easier to find.

I have the same problem, but only when I’m running Mumble.

I’m getting a total computer lockup while using GW2 and Mumble.

The game runs flawlessly unless I load Mumble. I then get a total computer lockup within the first hour of play that requires a cold reboot. It happens every time. I’ve tried it with and without the overlay turned on. Latest version of Mumble. I haven’t been able to tie any specific event or condition to the lockup. Normally get between 50 to 120 fps with occassional dips during map loads.

I would appreciate any suggestions.

I used the Naga 2012 with 12 buttons on the side for a while and then switched to the Naga Hex which has only 6 buttons and like it a lot better.

After trying for a couple of months to train my thumb to find the right buttons, I gave it up. It’s a lot easier with only 6 buttons. I programmed them for numbers 7-0. I can catch 1-6 with my left hand on the keyboard, and get 7-0 with the buttons on the mouse. That way, I don’t have to take my hands off the keyboard or the mouse, and can keep my left hand on the “home row” on the keyboard.

I’m getting and average of 50-60 fps with peaks of 144 and lows of 4. Lows seem to come when maps or new areas are being loaded. Following gear:

People on this forum have told me that the lows are because of the game itself and not bottlenecks in my gear.

Old retired guy here who’s fairly new to dedicated gaming computers. With a lot of advice from younger guys I built a fairly high-end rig and I’m enjoying ~50-122 fps. At times, I’ve seen frame rates as high as 244 !! No high temps on CPU or GPUs. I’m certainly not complaining.

However, at times, mostly during map loads, fps goes as low as 4 or 5 for a short time. IS THIS NORMAL? – Certainly no need for high fps when I’m looking at a map.

I was getting lockups. Reinstalled game, updated drivers, removed recent Windows 8 updates. After that, it crashed once, when I was running Mumble. Stopped using Mumble and it hasn’t crashed since. (30+ hrs of game play.)

I had the same problem. Reinstalled the game. Removed recent Windows 8 updates. It only crashed once after this when I was using Mumble. I’ve played about 30 hours without using Mumble without a crash.

Tempted to try one more time with Mumble.

I’m on HoD and have been looking for a guild also. I got some very attractive offers from excellant guilds on other servers, but my wife and grown son are also on Hod and it would mean having to pay for all 3 of us to switch servers.

I’m a soon to be retiree who just built a high-end gaming computer and enjoy GW2 immensly. I play occassionally with my wife and son, but I’m looking for a group of individuals with a similar background to hang out with a few nights a week. Interested primarily in PvE & WvW.

Currently on Henge of Denravi but will switch. Also have Mumble, Vent, & TS3. In U.S. E.S.T.
