Oh good, I get to stay in fire for dps…again.
The only real issue is, as the op already noted, that you can’t ignore the puzzles on the new maps. For some odd reason the devs feel it’s necessary to tie multiple achievements into the puzzles. They should have stayed their own category and all the little collection and exploration achievements should remain completely decoupled from the puzzles as with the core maps.
Yeah, an actual auto deposit could be annoying. Though moving the deposit all to a more visible, less annoying location in the UI, or maybe even adding a hotkey, would be appreciated.
A number of my characters are sad they cannot live up to their inspirations by using spears on land. Please give us land spears!
Long story short: people don’t like losing or being wrong and will find any reason to absolve themselves of wrongdoing or mistakes.
Throwing my two cents in here, I have to agree with OP here. I have been playing Guildwars since factions came out. I liked how the world was instanced at first, made me feel like I was actually doing quests and stuff was happening in my world. Parties and community mattered, then heroes came along and everyone abandoned everyone for preference of controlling AI with OP builds. The community died, and became a grind fest.
Now I loved the core GW2, HoT fell short for me and I have never done a raid but am interested, however. With the updates that are being thrown in and pushing endgame further and further into a grind I can no longer keep up or even keep and interest in the game anymore. LS3 is just one big grind now, I hate it, it’s annoying and boring killing the same mobs over and over, there is no substance and no actual questing being done like in the beginning. GW2 is becoming just another kittenty MMO imho, I barely even log on to make the daily log on rewards now, when I was so excited for LS3.
Dungeons which were one of my favourite things to do are pretty much on life support and the way raids are headed, I will never be able to learn / keep up unless I dedicate all my time to it just to try it, that is if I can find anyone willing to take me on as a super casual student.I agree with OP here, GW2 has lost its identity as a game that’s different, which is sad because it came out with so much potential.
This is basically my feeling about how the game has progressed recently as well. Though I admit that I also semi-ragequit after the introduction of Ascended gear when they broke their promise about not needing extreme grind or additional gear tiers for various content. That was probably the first sign to me that things gw2 was probably not going to live up to what was promised way back in development.
GW2 now driving people to insanity, hearing bird calls that don’t exist :P.
I second (third?) the idea of an offensive water attunement.
Meh birds of prey and griffons id still take an pet asuran teach it some tricks and right before it goes into battle if I use a skill that affects my pet asuran it should yelp excelsior! as it charges into the fight and thus earn me bags of loot …Id settle for an asuran backpack though why do we have charr backpack but not asurans? just doesn’t seem fair =/
So if you are an asura ranger you could asura while you asura?
I actually like the new LA. It’s probably because the old one, to me, felt sort of claustrophobic.
I suspect it is because most people don’t feel like it’s a big deal. They could have nerfed it even further. This change is actually pretty fair. You do the event you get the reward. You don’t do the event (for a given map) you don’t get rewards. Seems logical to me.
I’d say the problem is more that enemies in pve are able to spam the crippled condition (and most other conditions really) far too readily. The cleansing system, as mentioned already, works fine as is.
She doesn’t wear an outfit. It’s an illusion, she’s actually naked.
Exactly! In fact you, me , all of us are naked under our outfits!
To me, the reason why including the jp achievement with the cosmetic is that every other collection here only requires participation or time. Yes, the drinks and runes cost a bunch of time/money, but theoretically anyone can do them. The other activities, it does not matter if you “win” only that you participated in some capacity.
Winter wonderland, on the other hand, has to be completed. Not only that, it must be completed 3 times. And, contrary to what some have stated, it is more difficult than most of the jp present in the game (which can be mostly ignored as there are few exclusives riding on their completion). For people who dislike/are not good at jp this can feel prohibitive to the point where it kills part of the experience of playing a game.
edit: woops forgot about the claw of jormag part, but that can be done in a group and has rewards people want regardless of the holiday event so there are usually enough people to complete it.

I’m almost certain there is a skin for them that is not currently in the gem store. So, hopefully they will be cycled back in soon/eventually.
So does that mean all the Sylvari players are just people who have always dreamed of living a a potted plant in a psych ward?
I’m not sure if the op is trolling or not, but other than the selling of ascended gear and maybe laurels, these mostly sound like things people want and would buy.
New weapons would be nice, mostly because I want to see terrestrial sets for spears and tridents. Or merge the two into a pole arm class.
Ranger’s next elite spec should allow offhand sword use.
Any fan of old school DnD will understand why.
Queue all the dark skinned sylvari and maybe human clones.
Just to make sure, you do know that most of their actions were taken to safeguard the world from the return of the titans by keeping the Door of Komali shut right? As the players back in GW1 we kinda screwed the pooch on that one and then had to fix it again in Nightfall.
And similar to the above suggestion, I would love to see some purified Orr weapons. Like how they would have looked before the place sunk or maybe even as a result of Trahearne cleansing the place.
I’m going to keep calling it Bubbles regardless of its official name. I mean really how is “no amount of fire from our cannons could harm the mighty Bubbles” not hilarious.
All I care about in an expansion is getting back to Cantha. My human characters want to go home
