They go into their pokéball, duh!
You’ve been so close twice. You now have the assets to make it happen!
Just simple paint, but you get the idea. Sclerite Sword + Guild Razor
Question: Do I use Norn elites?
Answer: No
Also, there are other problems than duration, such as loosing your heal and utilities. On Ranger I loose my pet…
But Norn’s been crying about transformations since release and devs don’t care…
I’d just like to chalk this up as lazy, uninspired and unfinished

They are not plants. They are eggs laid by Trahearne.
We will have to fight off a Trahearne army of storming marauders!
Unless they plan to talk you to death I wouldn’t be too afraid
A patch is never late, nor is it early. It arrives precisely when it means to.
Relax people, it arrives when it arrives.
At level 80 you’re looking at a 2-3 silver cost for waypoint and repair, and even lower at lower levels. Get over yourself. I love that a world boss fail have an actual consequence, we need more of this!
They need to buff it to kill all the mobs and wildlife in the zone as well.
Yes, it should wipe everything. Players dead, Friendly npcs dead, hostile mobs dead…critters, you guessed it, dead!
Skins in random boxes…AGAIN?! Feels like a slap in the face. If people are complaining boxes are useless…take the hint and just remove them?
Supporting this 100%!
Could’ve used this a while ago, bought Krytan set and only saved the top, threw the rest away as I can’t be bothered with skulls :p

Worst suggestion I’ve seen so far…
If you want that kind of game play I’d suggest going out of your way finding one…since you like torture anyway.
I’d like to suggest a few other things…But I’ll pass.
PS: I agree with others here…it’s not hard enforcing that yourself…or do you simply lack the discipline and needs the game to do it for you?
A human, a Charr and a Norn are out drinking. All of a sudden the human smashes his glass and says:
“In Kryta we have so many glasses that we don’t need to drink from the same twice”
The Charr throws his glass in the air, draws his pistol, shoots it and proclaims:
“In Ascalon we have so much sand that we can make so many glasses that we don’t have to drink from the same twice”
The Norn is passed out…
It would be nice indeed, but it wouldn’t solve the main problem. You can at some points accumulate a good amount of tokens, well over 250, and 1 spot wouldn’t be enough. So how many would? I’d like to suggest that the dungeon NPCs sell some form of refined token for 250 normal tokens, and also sell 250 tokens for 1 refined token. Not the most elegant conversion system (I’d still prefer it though), but easy enough and would mean you can potentially stack 250X250=62500 in one stack. If regular and refined tokens had their spots in a collectible tab (a lá tiered materials) that’d be great!
Crossposting from ranger boards, as this might be the goto place.
The ones that concern me.
Long Range Shot. Increased the damage at 500 range by 20%.
Long Range Shot. Increased the damage at 500-1000 range by 15%.
While a step in the right direction it’s not enough. Currently it’s 56%:72%:100% and the change will place it at 67%:83%:100% I don’t think it should be any worse (and this is the lowest I’d accept) than 80%:90%100%. At least then you wouldn’t be completly hamstringed in close range, especially in a game were melee is king.Wilderness 5 Natural Vigor. Reduced the increased endurance regeneration from 50% to 25%.
Just thank you.Wilderness VIII – Oakheart Salve. Decreased the recharge of this trait from 20s->15s
The regen is like 5 seconds, even with this change there are far more interresting traits in that line.Wilderness XII – Bark Skin Increased the damage reduction from 30% to 50%.
This is good. It’s still a bit overshadowed by Empathic Bond, but good non the less.Nature Magic IX – Two Handed Training. Added the following functionality to this trait. Greatsword and Spear attacks have a chance to grant Fury on hit. 50% chance. 3s Fury. 10s cooldown.
On top of current functionality this is completly ok.Nature Magic VII – Nature’s Vengeance. Moved to Grandmaster Tier.
Nature Magic XI – Spirits Unbound. Moved to Master Tier.
This ok, I can’t find any complaint on this.Beastmastery VI – Mighty Swap. The might from this trait is now applied to you and your pet.
Good, we need more of this. While the proposed changes are a step in the right direction it still feels very lackluster. I’m not very impressed and ultimately it’ll change nothing for me. And as other poeple have noted, still missing some love to pet AI, utilities, sword 1 etc that have been discussed for a months.
1. Disparity in Attribute efficiency, both on it’s own and paired with other attributes.
2. Build Templates (Traits+Gear)
3. Weapon skills, both additional and new weapons, and utilities.
I love how ANet just keeps messing these little things up. The preview system was (apart from not showing particle effects (and in particular sucked for priory weapons)) damn near perfect…
Way better than any poll would be ANet just compiling some nice statistics from the database Like they did during launch…Who knows, maybe at the year 1 mark!
I won’t leave without contributing though :p

In Tune
- This achievement is also a tricky one, I would recommend you disable your auto attack so that you are precisely controlling when you hit the holograms. Necros, Rangers, Mesmers; watch your minions, pets, clones, and phantasms, their damage counts against you if you are not attuned. Engineers, your turrets fall under that category as well. For all professions, I would recommend crafting your build based solely on damage your character does and not use any summons or sources of outside damage. Again, attention is critical, always be aware of your current attunement and the attunement of the hologram you are fighting.
Thank you for more content that heavily punishes Rangers and to some degree Mesmers who are mostly built around summons. What about summons and No More Tricks, do they count against for that as well? I know in Aether path my pet didn’t ruin the no touch electric floor achie…And How about conditions? If a condition lingers on after attunement wears off does that count against? That’s punishing to Mostly Guardians with passive burning and most builds that in some way or another includes bleed on crit.
I…am not sure about this. A lot have been discussed already, and we’ll only have to “redo” it later if we get “chosen”. But what the H…
1. Pet
Needs a complete re-haul, AI, tied in player mechanics, traits….everything. The pet concept is seriously flawed and wants to go everywhere and nowhere. Anything less than an overhaul is a band aid fix.
2. Utilities
A lot of our utilities are just so “meh”. And the ones that do kind of work needs the traits for them to work.
3. Weapons
Need defined roles. And no weapons auto attack should have silly limitations.
Adding my voice to the concerns. All-or-Nothing outfits and tonics is going to destroy a lot of looks for me, and I’ll be asking for refunds for every item that won’t function like currently.
I wouldn’t mind some hard to beat dungeon requiring coordination of 20 people. But please…non of the gear treadmill nonsense…Why do they have to go hand in hand?
Reward? Please…beating it is the reward…it should be that hard!

If I see a blue diamond above your head I automatically assume you’re a rich unpleasant person. Nothing more, nothing less. Just saying.
I doubt anything will get buffed to compensate. Jon said “they are more sustainable now, they can actually stay in fights longer, the damage will be coming down.” So i guess the reason the damage is getting nerfed is because they got a few extra k hp last update.
So…before we were told that our dps was balanced around 100% uptime on the pet. And now that we’re getting close to achieveing that it turns out it’s not balanced? Who balances this game?
ANet appears to have decided that giving advantages to each race was a bad idea, certainly with balance in mind. So racial skills are bad and they don’t seem interested in changing them. Players have come up with the idea that racial skills were intended to be for aesthetic/roleplay purposes.
I don’t expect transformations to ever be useful.
That they are outshined by prof skills was expected. But does that mean they have to be useless? And they don’t even work good for fun with a 30s timer and 4 min cd…
Arrogant? No. But it does feel a bit more serious, especially if it’s only one short sentence. Besides, chatting isn’t formal writing, it has to be fast. You type however works best for you.
I thought this seemed familiar…

Can send 2 mails. 3rd one is blocked because of “excessive messaging”. Really?!
Norn’s quite obviously based on nordic/germanic tribes. But making them Native American is very interresting indeed And I see no reason why it shouldn’t work. They both make use of fur/leather etc.
But you asked for advice on what to wear more exactly. Well, there’s a ton of material on the internet, you can use PvP-locker (or Glory, think they renamed it) in Heart of Mists to preview most armors and weapons as well.

Here’s a pretty extensive image gallery for quick reference~
Well this thread settles it, I was doing Mari on ele, but now I’m going to do it on ranger from here on.
In my opinion having anything obstructive on the auto attack is unacceptable. Any other attack I’d be fine with leap locks, proximity/distance/positional penalties, etc, because then it’s a calculated risk…
Why can’t you guys just keep scrolling and go about your business? Report it if you see fit.
Why come up here and cry about an issue that has already been beaten to death?
Are…are you aware of the irony?!
Just wanted to say that while some jumping puzzles are negatively affected by the Norn’s size (mostly inside caves and small areas), for others it’s actually an advantage. For outside big platforms platforming all the gaps look relatively smaller for Norn, it feels more like you’re actually going to make that jump!
Pointless suggestion is pointless…
That was one of the big features advertised. The look of your armor is no longer tied to the stats and level of your armor. You could always choose to keep that low level armor you really liked.
It would also give those that like a ‘normal’ over a ‘themed’ look a way to not be frowned upon by wearing a normal looking armor.
Why would you care what anyone else thinks of your armor? All that matter is how you like it. Too proud to wear “trash” loot?
I myself am using the starting rawhide pants, and a basic white sword (transmuted onto my lvl 80 exo gear), and I love my look. I don’t need a special type of those 2 items, the regular ones work just as well! (At level 80 that’s actually quite rare I’d think)
Yes! They have to realise the more they sell, the more poeple buy, the less space they get…the less they’re willing to buy the next batch. Full circle, or so.
How many times do we have to answer this? Yes, in a sense yes it’s working as intended. Sword auto chain includes 2 short leaps, all leap skills lock you in animation. Can you dodge in Swoop? RTL? Is it bad design? Possibly, but then what isn’t to Rangers.
This is a joke right? Or a nightmare…
Well…here’s hoping the skins look as bad as every other round…
Let’s play “How many skulls, spikes and flames can you put on a greatsword?”!
Don’t need this, and thankfully it won’t happen either…
Now what is to stop ANet from retroactively adding a 20% chance to mine Azurite Orbs to molten mining pick? It’s not the sprockets themselves, it’s the “what will they do next?”.
I don’t even understand the first sentence.
No offense meant, but if I can’t read it…
No. New hunter shot is more interresting than the previous “does 10 of this so it has to be included in rotation just because”-skill. I myself have trouble breaking my old rotation, but I accept that I need to retrain my muscle memory. Now, if we talk about rapid fire…now there’s an uninterresting skill that might need some change.
At least for win7: If you tab out during map loading GW2 will flash orange in the taskbar when map is loaded.
Ranger – Golden
because it’s my main
Elementalist – Combat Healer
go figure
Thief – Avenger of the Dispossesed
for irony
Mesmer – Dungeon Master
because it’s an asuran imp
Warriors have nothing to complain about. Have you SEEN the offhand axe Ranger skill 5? Thought not. Also, damage-buffing Warriors, whether it would make them OP or not (even though every other profession knows warriors are OP anyway) should be the last thing on the devs’ priorities list right now.
Ranger axe 5 is actually one of the best skills ranger has, considering the massive amount of utility on top of the damage it deals.
LOL
“Hey guys, im going to self root, effectively CC’ing myself just to reflect projectiles while doing less damage in this long channel than my own autoattack chain!”
MASSIVE UTILITY INDEED. THAT’S WHY SO MANY POWER RANGERS ARE AROUND.
It reflects, grants retaliation, deals aoe damage, and stacks vulnerability. It’s an incredibly useful skill that people like to underestimate.
The reflection radius is 90 units, that’s too small to be effective. A projectile AoE landing next to you will hit you. Retaliation is bad and it’s dps is laughable. And the self root is … no! The only good it’s for is a bit of lulz againts Mai (Though GS is better, straight up block it). If the radius was larger (untraited) then yeah it could be useful, as it it now not so much.
Too expensive to buy for multiple toons? Simple solution: don’t buy for multiple toons!
I was at the karka event and didn’t get anything amazing[…]
Same, it sucks…
[…]I was told that people who complained about missing the event were mailed pre-cursors.
I’m pretty sure this didn’t happen though, that would be absurd…I think they were mailed a chest with the karka box, shell and 2 random exotic from the tables (including chance for precursor of course).
[…]its more likely that they’ll give everyone a free fused weapon ticket.
I doubt that. I’m guessing more…free 15-slot bag, maybe some back skin, Karma consumable and/or some other junk that’s really only useful to new players.

This thread is better than TV
Having tried to play Healer Elementalist and usually only running with good people I know I can safely say I feel I would’ve supported better by doing more damage…
The fact that our weapon coefficients are lower than other classes doesn’t automatically mean we can run whatever because “we won’t get the full out of zerk anyway”. That’s as stupid as saying “Well, I’m already only getting 80% scaling, might as well go full 0%”. Full zerk is still going to be better dps than any hybrid, especially one that includes Toughness, Vitality or Compassion.
@OP, you said it yourself, most of the defensive properties of the GS comes from the GS itself, passive evasion, stun/daze and one kick-kitten block. Stacking even more defensive stats with it won’t be needed! You should try to run as much zerk as possible, and start by switching out lower stat pieces (Shoulder/Hands/Feet, then Head).
TL;DR: Berserkers
The majority has a cowboy style cylinder to hold ammo, if anything at all.
What? There are like 3 revolvers in game…Aether, Ascended and Chaos. And no, I do not count each ascended revolver as it’s own, they’re recolorations (some have minor tweaks, so generously 5-6). That does not constitute a majority.
So the only modern looking pistols are the Pact handgun (chaos gun shares same skin), Guild quick shot, Glyphic/Dark asuran pistol(but they are huge) and perhaps fractal pistol. A pretty small choice, compared to the options of old fashioned pistols.
+ Legionnaire, Vigil, Inquest/Mystic (it does indeed have a hammer in the side like a flintlock, but looks very modern), SAB supers, Lovestruck, Pact Fleet, Peacemaker, and maybe Krytan.
Thats why I would like to see a bigger choice!
Although I am not disagreeing to this! Always support more options.
