i still have my free 80 boost and im thinking of boosting a druid

im looking for PVE only so fracs dungeons raids open world stuff.
i hear they can solo well and i hear they can now be full on healers

Are they fun? easy to use?
would i need to carry 2 sets of gear to swap from dps to healers?
is a healer viable now in this game?
do i go power or condi?

Please help, never touched a ranger before

I have a thief ele and necro.. I got a free 80 boost and wanna play hot.

Im looking for a class with an easy rotation
I really enjoyed my ele and necro but cant remember how to play them.. I remember the ele being exhausting and always almost dying.. Probably because im bad

I remember feeling like the necro was easier and tankier but unsure

I wanted to do an engineer but they look like such a hard rotation and many options..Or ranger now they can heal but then also that means i have to do all the story and. Map completion again

What would peoe recommend.. I was thinking ele or necro again as i have some map completion.. Ele was lvled through pure crafting so she has alot of crafting

I jusst dont know if i have energy to keep swapping between elements.. I end up just spammin fire skills

Would love to hear peoples opinions on classes with easy rotations

After returning after a long break i found i had an 80 thief ele and Necro

was looking for a class to main, Ele looked great and gun but so squishy and they are everywhere

I found i had a free lvl 80 token so i got an engineer

After much and many hours of playing around i have decided to main my Necro/reaper and so far i am really really enjoying it!

Ive just leveld to 80 and looking to get my feet wet in mainly pve but i do enjoy a bit of pvp sometimes

I got a 80 thief. Last time I played it the super adventure box was just out. That’s when I quit playing. Got a necro to 80 and wanted ele as it looks fun.
Lvled ele using crafting and want to make it my main
I know the rotation for d/f from metabattle but suck at it so will practice if I can ever find practice dummies

So i reached 80, i played a bit as one class and got 80 lvling through the world then i wanted a different class right away so i Made another Character usingCrafting.
I got all my crafting to 400 and tailoring to 500

Now that I’m happy with a class I’m looking for things to do. 80 seems like a completely new game and looks fun and exciting
so far i’ve been suggested:
- personal story
- living world
- hoT
-Legendary Weapon Grind
- World Completion
- Dungeons
- Fracs

I’m More into PVE not PVP or WvW
Now i’m defiantly Keen for all the stories and world completion, but when it comes to dungeons and Fracs, whats the end goal here?
I purchased full berserker exotics from TP and was then told that even i go through dungeons i’ll still be getting the same stats on their amor.

Is there anything else to do here? Fracs, am i building towards anything? or is it just for fun? try to get to highest level.
I guess I’m more looking at is there anything i should be building towards and collecting?
It seems achievements are a big thing at 80.

And actually writing this, i realise theres a lot to do but yeah, anything else I’m missing i could do (besides wintersday)

I would like to find a Pretty Big active guild that is more casual/ social

I dont want to limit myself to one thing in the game so looking for a guild that would dabble in raids, dungeons pvp wvw Open world content.. just anything and everything
Some guild that is fun has a laugh and chat but goes out and does things together.

I’m australian but i work rotating shifts so one week i could be available and on in NA prime time or another week Another time

So I messed up. I wanted a new class so I leveled all crafting to 400. I forgot to level to 20 first as those levels are quick. So now im on lvl 72. No tomes. Is there a quick way to hit 80?. Should I do high or low level areas.

Hey guys, im just getting back into GW2 after a very long break. i played ele and thief back then and would like something new.

Im wondering or stuck between warrior or ranger.. When i played ranger was a lolable class and got kicked from groups.

Warrior sounds cool as something different.
Also necro and mesmer sound good too haha

Just wondering if anyone could give some pros or cons of these classes?

You don’t need HoT , it’s like a completely different game on my opinion.

My advice is……get GW2 the old Tyria for me is still superior than HoT and believe me …..you will enjoy the game even without HoT.

When you will get maybe bored of the old Tyria …..maybe think about HoT.

I know we have the orb thing but i would love a Map with maybe more than 5 v 5 and a base at each end of the map to conquer

maybe 10 v 10 of CTF.

the rules

• you Can still Move with the flag and attack
• Your Flag MUSt be at your base before you can capture the flag
• Each flag cap gives a certain amount of points and kills give points
• first to a certain amount win
• NO BUFFS, no speed buffs or Power buffs you can pickup, just pure class
• Cake for the winner

i’m happy i can go back to my D/D 0/30/30/10/0 build
i was running full valkyrie armor and zerker weapons and zerker trinkets
i think i had zerker Orbs in armor too… But whatever i can enjoy this build again!!

in PvP im going D/P and 25/30/0/15 i think… only just started getting into sPVP

D/P doesn’t need a nerf

if the thief is in perma stealth they are doing no damage to you, if you see them coming and drop the powder and HS then Dodge and they miss

although the ability to get out of a situation without hitting someone, well that does sound nice now.. if im blind.. out i go… just like a theif should do

It is not about thief damage as much as it is their ability to stay right next to their opponent and not die for like 1 minute. Aoe does not do enough damage to kill a thief only to scare it a little so it runs. If you don’t believe me use aoe skills only on a thief and you’ll find you don’t have enough aoe skills to spam aoe for the kill. (Aoe is a poor excuse)

Dude, watch the ground. pay attention to your surroundings

it’s quite often i’ll come to a camp and i’ll see a red ring appear, then it will appear a little further… this is a thief trying to use perma stealth.. if you see the ring come up AOE the hell out of it. the thief can only keep up perm stealth if he is HS through it.. aoe the ring and he wont go in.. or stand in it take the damage form the HS and the thief comes out of stealth.

every day i come to these forums and see people suggesting their new skills types and exremely Overpowered suggestions

what’s with the F1 – F4 abilities? leave it how it is, F1 steal is perfect and needs nothing done to it!

the only thing i hate about thief is that Heartseeker Stacks, so if i spam it 3 times trying to get 1 off it will actually do 3 of them and waste my initiative, this isn’t an issue with thief but a LTP by me, i know it stacks i should stop spamming it

F2 – F4 will make us extremely OP and we will get hated even more and nerfed maxed and raged against and i may cray a little when people yell at me

sure we could use a new Off hand, i would’ve thought a torch, but then holding a torch in the shadows doesn’t allow us to stealth too well

I won’t use p/d condition. I used it once. It was fun for a bit but I found I was using only 2 skills and took too long to kill

I have been running perma stealth 0/20/30/20/0 in wvwvw since last patch so I kknow about the 3x hs in powder much fun

Didn’t think would be viable in spvp as it serms a different game

Played a bunch of games last night.. would get our butt handed to us sometimes but then found they were lvl 40s in,pvp and organized. But then sometimes We would win

I would run ftom windmill to clock tower. Burst enemy down then see mate struggling on windmill so would go there just as they scream help in teamspeak t then bam rotation. Enemy down back to tower

cheers i was trying to use D/D full zerker with divinity runes
i could get in and use
Ballisk (or whatever it is) > spider venom > signet that give extra damage > CnD > steal > Backstab > HS

i saw other thiefs hitting alot harder than i was hittting, i was wunning 30/30/0/10/0

will try the D/P and 25/30/0/0/15

thanks heaps, after playing i see how the thief works, come in do a rotation and get out, if my team mate is there it burst him down or kills and never really stomp, leave it for someone else

i’m new to sPVP and want to get into tPVP and looking for a viable Thief build

from what i gather thiefs in sPVP are there to roam and kill the people taking the base being defended by the bunker.. we go in kill and head to next base

so i gather i should go a 30/30/10 or something for D/D

but is D/D still any good for sPvP?, i come across alot of D/P thief, so still not sure what to use

not saying it’s op just it’s ridiculous that i can stealth across the map

i’ve followed Zergs around in stealth and watched groups and followed them around the map in stealth

sure if they were paying attention they would see the BP ring but still i can get from one end of the map to the other in stealth

D/P Black powder Heartseeker, yes is soo OP!

i can perma stealth, and on top of that i can blind the enemy then do HS damage and THEN stealth for extra damage

i believe i can also (never tried)… BP > HS+ Steal with mug and then BS

i read somewhere i can HS and steal together and get the mug damage and HS damage but never tried

i’ve never used PW only because im stuck in place.. would people not dodge and leave us vaunerable with this?

i use Patience and i drop a blinding powder, then heart seeker and before my stealth is up my Initiative is full again

ive never been a fan of glass cannon Builds

i will always have 30 in Shadow arts for the heals

i use Zerker Weapons and for the trinkets and armor i have a mixture of

Valkyrie
Knights
Zerker

these change all the time

i usually run either

0/30/30/10/0

or

0/20/30/20/0

the 2nd i usually use for D/P

the first i use more for D/D

i have recently been experimenting with S/D aswell and having alot of fun with it

I love zergs.. I stealth my way to the back n take out the squishies not expectin anyone behind

Gain 2 initiative every 10 secs
Reduced fall damage and stealth from falling
Precision turns to vitality
Heal in stealth

Basically I can travel around the map in stealth
I’ve sat at camps for 5 mins or so watching groups
I’ve followed zergs in stealth

I use sb aswell just to climb cliffs

I’ve a mix of valkyrie knight and zerker gear
I have about 16khp
1470 toughness
can only backstab for about 5k crit
about 40% crit chance
70%crit damage

I’ve even sat in hills in stealth taking down siege

On mobile so sorry for basic setup

I think its fake. I just spent all me gold respeccing.. if I get to go back.. yay.. feel so cheap using perma stelth… although I do love S/D as alt weapon

I see team riot has a video..but cmon its team riot..I see them and run..far

Is S/D good pve pvp and wvw?
