I am totally speechless.
That’s assuming GW2 will last that many years.
TY, I just finished the act.1 and crafted the first step of the precursor (Jesus, it was very expensive)
Now I’m on act.2
So the Dragon Stand tower destroyer thing ISN’T bugged?
I just got it earlier without realizing it.
You should patchnotes, it was fixed a while ago.
And for me who had already completed the collection before the mini was introduced, I’m screwed because it’s not unlocked and I can’t unlock it anymore…
Edit: it seems I just have to go to the Zinn’s Print-o-Matic to get it.

Thaumanova one is the fire elemental world boss, not fractal. Dragon’s Stand is still unknown.
Can confirm this and it’s effectively linked to water.
Having seen the numbers a Revenant can pull out, I’m not sure druids can compete now with the 10s CD on CA…
Seeing those numbers, I’m not even sure it’s worth traiting for regen xD.
Repeating story seems more efficient to get ore.
What are the maths on vengeful hammers from Jallis? because so far it seems better DPS than Mallyx, and Shiro if you have Quickness from other sources.
(edited by arkealia.2713)
There might be a spot with a bit of them somewhere on the map but I haven’t found it yet, you have little time to explore and I’m still missing one PoI.
Dragon’s Stand noxious pods and they’re ultra rare. I found like 3 after completing the meta and got 2 more during the events. I have 42 machetes now….
Does anyone else’s collection show that you have already collected the Mystic Barricade without actually crafting it in the forge?
You probably got it in PvP before wardrobe, I have a lot of mystic weapon skins unlocked despite having only craft the shortbow.
Hammer2 + Mace2/Axe (Mace2 pulse for 3s and axe for gap closer) with Mallyx for the pulsing AoE or Elite. Jallis’ hammers might work but I’m not sure the damages are good enough.
We’re getting near

They’ll give us items to unlock elite specs at some point anyway, as they’re already doing for hero challenges in wvw.
In the beta you could not get enough astral force without the staff (so it was and I think still will be mandatory) and it was hard to get into CA form with just the A/T.
Actually you could with Lingering Light and Vampiric Aura from necro (or any kind of lifesteal), it might still be doable at release if they keep lifesteal as it is and depending on how the new Lingering Light works. Also you now have 10s to generate Astral Force because of CF CD, easily doable.
Apothecary or something with Condi/Prec/H.power could very well work.

So you want elite spec unlocked right away? With all skins unlocked as well including all new legendaries? billions of each mats in the bank? All maps unlocked with an instant teleport to wherever you want option? Dev Menu? OHKO button? Cheat mode?
I don’t even remember anyone crying at GW2 release because they didn’t have all their skills and weapons unlocked right away.
Are you sure you really want to play and enjoy the game?
Edit: I can understand the frustration for wvw players

I thought my fellow rangers would like this news.
3 years Gaile. And ranger is always in the same situation.
I Don’ t want to be too hard but you have no idea about how many rangers have quitted this game and will never buy Hot for this.
Anet truly lost many customers among the ranger community.
That’ s sad for everyone, Anet and community.
Their metrics can probably prove it’s wrong….

Unlocking your elite spec is a training line in your training panel that costs hero points. You do need to have trained all the existing training lines before you’re allowed to put hero points into your elite spec.
If you’ve got all the hero points in the existing game you’ll have enough to train about half the elite specialization training line on launch day. The rest you’ll need to earn in the jungle or via the new system Tyler outlined yesterday from WvW. The number of points to fully train your elite spec is higher than other training lines – but hero challenges in the jungle are worth 10 points each, so it’s not actually as big as it appears.
Revenant hype just took a complete nose dive… There went half my weekend grinding hero points…
Why? At 80 you have all unlocked, then go to jungle to get 10x points
Base Revenant is slow. Yes, they have the Shiro legend for superspeed, but thats 8sec of superspeed on a 10 sec cool down, but also only if you don’t use any other skills (so no condi cleanse or dashes). The lack of perm swiftness (or any swiftness on that matter) really hurts when you need to travel across maps.
That why it’s released at halloween, so you can buy the executionner outfit with it’s hack axe xD
This… Is what i have been waiting for!!!!! The only thing left on the table is a retooling of the sword #1 chain and I will have nothing left to come in here and kitten about.
Shortbow rework maybe? =3
As far as I remember, any crafted precursor and associated legendary will be accound bounds, be it old or new. If you want to sell a legendary weapon, you’ll have to buy/drop/gamble the precursor.
Ogre runes are now a solid choice for PvE?
Now they just need to fix sword and we’ll be nearly good.
We rangers, mesmers and necros thank you from the bottom of our heart
Kind of want to combine this with the new ascended shoulders that make bats follow you around.
While fighting you’d have a swarm of bats and ravens around you at all times.
Add in some Preserved Queen Bee xD
Juvenile Raven + Nevermore + Mad King runes + Scarecrow Finisher + Miniature Raven +
Raven Mail Carrier = Ravenpocalypse
Using Warhorn4 and Ogre Pet Whistle (gryphon) for a little more birds xD

If thief has a place ( and currently thats a big if) it will be full sinister.
Daredevil will bring some condi buffs ( at least 10% flat condi dmg buff) While you have more survivability than Engi and more team support ( with stealth rez + defiance bar shredding). However, I’m afraid that the team comb will be : 3-4 Engi 3-4 Harald 1 Druid 1-2 Ps war.
There is no way thief will take the harald sport. And it will be a close call towards the engi.It is possible though ( if harald staff defiance removal gets fixed) that the usual group is in need of more def removal wich would maybe result (some ) Engis getting replaced with Thiefs.
If breakbar takes into account the duration of the CC like I think it does, thieves won’t be a big help for those :/ (this will need some testings).
Also you forgot Chronomancer in your list, Alacrity + Quickness will be a very nice addition.
Overall we’ll see once it’s there, the first boss didn’t seem to require a thief but future content might, you may need stealth, blind for high number of adds or someone with superior mobility for exemple.
Come ride the hype train with us !!
Ascended accessories are easy to come by and weapons are a direct damage increase (+5% raw damages), you should at least make those your priority.
I played Ragnarok Online, this kind of grind is a joke. Seriously leveling 3.4 alts is not something grindy, especially considering all the exp boosts we can get (the new exp booster gives +50% exp from all sources btw).
I’d rather have had some unlock ala Metroidvania (get to a point to unlock this which unlock other parts of the map where you can get these, etc….). Maybe next time.
Masteries are account bound so they won’t give anything related to legendaries, but they unlock new areas and allow to kill some specific mobs so that’s probably what they’re talking about.
I’ve been trying to figure out how the Necro staff 1 will look on Nevermore. I’d imagine it would just disable the scythe effect and go with the spirit raven, but it’s something I’ve been wondering. My necro happens to be a Raven spirit Norn, so I’m still trying to decide if I want it or not. (not a huge fan of the big, blue spirit raven when wielded – everything else is fantastic though)
They showed it on the stream, watch it again^^
And yeah all projectiles will probably look like what we saw in the stream. Also Druid staff1 probably won’t get the effect as it’s something channeled :/
Could work to see which skin/dye the others are using. As long as it doesn’t show stats or rarity it should be fine.
I’m starting to see many people using this for the 600 movement skill on 3s cooldown to the point I’m thinking of getting the outfit just for that.
Can I buy it safely without having to worry about a future nerf?
Wait, you only raised it from 0.25% to 0.5% for charging Astral Force?? LOL! I see that’s why you said 200% instead of the 0.5% that it is now. Gotta PR it right!
I think it’s changed to 0.75%. It’s been increased by 200%, implying another 200% (0.5%) is added on top of the existing 100% (0.25%). It would make it about half the amount you’d get from the nerfed healing amount, which is going down to 1.5% with the announced 40% decrease.
Healing should be now at 1.5% (down from 2.5%) and attacks at 0.75% (up from 0.25%). It’s a nerf to AF generation through healing but with the 10s CD on CF I don’t think it will matter much, let’s hope the changes to Lingering Light won’t affect AF even more…
-Grace of the Land: very great buff and push the druid a bit more toward support and not just heal. This might even make the Druid meta for dungeons fractals.
-Lingering Light: need to see in game, the wisp was a great generator of Astral Force and I hope that new heal will generate AF as well.
-Ancestral Grace: things that were needed, good.
-Celestial Avatar: 10s CD was obviously coming, it will help not making the druid a spamming brainless bot.
-Astral Force: with the 10s ICD, the changes shouldn’t matter much in group, CF will probably be available before 10s provided you use the right weapon or buff.
-Healing values: not bad, it makes H.power better while not requiring an as big amount as before.
-Lunar Impact: another thing I saw coming, 6s daze with moment of clarity (not counting mesmer runes…) was obviously strong.
-Glyphs: didn’t use them so I won’t comment.
I wouldn’t mind some damages on Cosmic Ray, even low, for the purpose of mobs/players tagging. It would help a lot.
(edited by arkealia.2713)
Depends. The Ranger will probably be the better pick for speed runs in old dungeons.
Assuming people still run dungeons since they’ll nerf the income….
Curently rushing hero points on a new character, it’s pretty long. 5h and I have only done 1/3….
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/mesmer/Alacrity-and-ICDs/first#post5463854
TLDR from what I saw, alacrity probably won’t affect runes/sigils ICD since it didn’t affect similar traits. It only affects traits that are based off of skills.
Very good to know =3
- the healing trap really needs to be looked into. as it is, it’s completely useless because you’re relying on your opponent to trigger it for you. anyone with a ranged weapon and half a brain knows that, no matter how hard the dragonhunter hits from range, if they can’t heal themselves, they’re more likely to die than you are. my suggestion is either make the trap trigger on allies passing through (like healing spring), swap the two parts of the heal around (bulk of the heal on set-up, bonus heal on activation), or both. that would make me actually consider that trap over shelter or litany of wrath.
Rangers are not using Healing Spring as much as before for this very reason
Little note: Chronomancer can double Ice Bow 4 with Continuum Split. Still useful.
Oh , hell yeah full ascended : armor , back , amulets , accessories , infused rings , Valkyrie hammer , 2 Berserker swords with Blade of Sunless or Fractal sword skins depending on the mood , using Entropy for the hammer ( IMO underated ) , full set of hoelbrak runes , rage sigils – I’d say I’m pretty prepped
Phoenix Hammer is the biggest hammer if you’re looking at something else.
Come join the crabs !!
Druid will be the best healer you can use for raids so using one is probably the best course of action.
Otherwise you can’t do much except damages as a ranger. Sinister condi is probably your best bet and it’s quite efficient with rangers. Also minions don’t take damages in raids so they can use spirits, which is a nice buff (frost and sun for damages, stone for protection).
The 1st boss is easy on conditions and CC. That probably won’t be the case for the others. Melee damages could also be denied for some bosses too.
And for those hoping for a druid nerf, don’t count on it. Base heal will be reduced while h.power scaling will be increased so overall a cleric druid will heal more than during BWE3 and they’ll also modify Astral Force generaton so that you’re not forced into staff, meaning that druids will also be able to DPS. I’d rather have them improve h.power scaling for other classes, in PvE at least.
Chronomancer is also a very solid option and worth a slot in raid, alacrity + quickness + boon strip + CC is too good to ignore

HoT took a while to get out because thay also worked of the groundwork for future expansions. Next one should come faster.
You can technically use the druid as a tank.
I want Bunny Thumper back xD
