Rebound needs to be changed, right now it only really benefits the Tempest because allies will barely notice it (and then can’t really use it strategically). Only really organized groups will be able to use it decently.
Instead it could reduce the cooldown of the longest skill on CD (useful after an elite is used) or reduce all skills on CD by X %/s.

What makes chronomancer really good is the amazing synergy from the traitline with all other traitlines and playstiles. They could remove F5 and the class would still be amazing. I wish the other spec could get good synergy like that, DH and especially Revenant are a big letdown for me right now.

There’s a noticeable aftercast delay after the 3rd chain when under quickness that makes the mace auto land the same number of hits with of w/o quickess during the same time.
Tested it on the golem and I got the same number of stacks of Torment (6) with both where I should have had 9 with quickness.

Nope. I’ve played DH and have to save while the traps are super cool and pretty animations the bow is slow. It has its moments but so far I’ve personally not found a built and/or weapon set that works well together.

I was going to try trap runes but they don’t let you. I even made a set, placed in my bank, and tried to pull them out – no luck. Can’t even see them. That could be interesting but again, I don’t think Rangers have much to worry about.

Different role / utility I think.

Try making a new guard beta with runes in bank. The account is copied at beta character creation.

Your bank was copied at the start of beta, so now you can’t do it except maybe if you delete all your beta characters and start again but it probably doesn’t work.

You can’t nerf Time Lost without nerfing Danger Time as well.
One thing they could do is nerfing Slow to 33% instead of 50%.

Slow makes interrupt easier, Illusionnary Reversion and Chronophantasma allow you generate clones fast. Alacrity makes skills available faster and you get it on every shatter. You also get more and easier access to Quickness.
It probably helps condition builds quite a bit.

RS4 in fire field is completely insane coupled with Dhuumfire on Auto and condi duration buffs. Let’s not add Quickness to that list.

Reaper can also nearly run without precision (50% crit chance with 25vuln, 20% from Fury, Banner and Spotter) but sadly there no Power/Condi/Ferocity gear…

Gravity well should at least reduce movement speed or reduce movement speed depending on your distance from the epicenter (like LA’s mystic forge) since they removed the pulling effect (if was effectively a bit too strong). Other ideas includes a wall on the borders that pushes you back (like Lupi), reduced CD and/or larger area.
Right now it’s easy to walk out of it and doesn’t feel worth an elite slot even for stability.

-It reverts back your HP and endurance pool
-It doesn’t seem to reset all ICD (doesn’t work with Nightmare runes but it does with Medic’s Feedback).
-It doesn’t affect boons/conditions, what you got and what you gain will continue as if you never used CS
-It doesn’t affect any traits/sigils buffs you got before CS (like Lost Time stacks), it will just go on like normal (like above)
-It reverts you back to your original position even if you’re falling
-You can’t use use it mid-air
-If you are stunned/disabled and the likes during CS, you will revert back with it
-Downed state cancels CS, no revert
-It resets CD on conjured weapon (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I2yVMcrgZ68&feature=youtu.be)

-It doesn’t affect inventory, if you move things in your inventory during CS, their position won’t revert back, same with bank. It probably doesn’t revert your gold either =3.

Ya still too early to know for sure. You get insane damage with the ability to mine wrack twice with continuum split. I also noticed that your shatter for continuum split has a good chance to scare your opponent and bait out dodges or other abilities. The problem is that as soon as you shatter with continuum, they are going to know you are going to burst or something because the time limit for the skill is not very long. This makes it so a simple dodge can ruin the whole timing so you don’t do even remotely close to the same amount of damage you would do on a dummy or even one of the npcs in heart of the mist. I believe the time given in continuum split is good. Any lower and you would not get any use out of it. Any longer and you would make the skill way to easy to use.
Only worked with wells and shield in pve and on a test dummy. It seemed remarkably smooth and everything worked a lot better than I was expecting. Don’t think any of these is op in pve for now. Never used them in pvp.

You can Mind Wrack 6 times in a row using Continuum Shift, Mimic and Signet of Illusions (you can use all shatters 6 times in a row actually…). Since Illusionary Persona is now baseline, all shatters will trigger on your character so you don’t even need any clone.
Overall you can use Continuum Shift and Mimic to use any utility skill 4 times, every 90s.

CS + Mimic is strong but has 90s cooldown and basically need all skills ready if you ever want to use a combo. It will work well in dungeons but not that much in PvP

Knowing that Glint compiled the Flameseeker Prophecy and there’s a legendary weapon of the same name, we can really guess it will be a shield.
On the other hand, I think we’re getting further away from some kind of Ritualist specialisation at this point. We’ll see in a few weeks/months.

But if you’re looking at DPS, Tempest is probably not for you. That specialisation was clearly made for group support, especially with auras.
But I’ll agree that Overloads are a bit underwhelming when you see their cast time…

You’re locked out of the attunement when you switch after an overload (longer recharge time).
Overload seems like a risk/reward mechanic. It also has a great synergy with conjured weapons since you can just overload each attunement while using hammer for exemple (use your elite to reduce recharge on hammer too) and Fresh Air makes it even better.

Seeing how anet is giving crit chances to many class (Chrono with slow, Guardian with Burning/OHSword, Reaper with Vuln, Revenant with +30% on Fury) and the condition revamp, the next meta will probably remove quite a bit of precision for condition damages or Toughness/Vitality (I’m not even sure Power/Ferocity/Condi exists…..).

I rewatched the video, the buff triggers as soon as you use the skill. Also the CD recharge happens only on the returning part.
With iLeap, Blink, Phase Retreat and Portal you can probably trigger it a lot (and it’s probably very hard to pull in real battle xD).

Does Return actually stunbreak? If not, do not fear… actually, yeah, DO fear the reaper. Literally. Fear and stun chaining and repositioning towards the return point… Although, I wonder what happens if Chrono gets downed, will he still reset? Or will continuum shift break at that point?

Yeah I get it, but if you’re letting conditions land on you as a Mesmer under most circumstances, you’re screwed regardless. But yes, chill is quite the nasty condition on Mesmer. I see more people taking Shattered Conditions than they ever did before.

I wouldn’t count too much on those numbers, it sounds too powerful for not being an elite and with a CD that low, especially with the life force generation of the Reaper. On the other hand you don’t have access to utility skills in that form…

The healing skill is way too weak.
The tooltip in the video said it heals for less than 4k hp and only the life force regen scales. Granted, its cd is 20 sec and it could be lowered with the shout trait, but even then 4k is just way too little if you can get a full cleanse and at least 5k with Consume Conditions.

I think it will all about keeping KS up as much as you can, also blood magic will help getting that health back up while in KS.

It looks exactly how they described it: run as fast as you can cos’ once it catches you up, you’re done for.

With the phantasm shatter trait making micromanaging different types of illusions even more involved, can we please finally get different indicators for the three circles that represent our active illusions?

Having clones be one color and phantasms another would be very welcome.

Add in a symbol representing the type of clone/phantasm and the circle depleting according to it’s remaining HP and we’ll be good.

Now we need to see alacrity and wells in game for a rough estimation of our dungeon DPS, we have no damage modifier so it’s a bit tricky.
I’m also drooling at the idea of a 5 chronomancer party, 10 party-wide alacrity wells + 100s (technically 110, not even counting boon duration bonus) of time warp <= by the time the 5th one is done, the 1st one should have TW and F5 off CD…. xD

It will be related to Destiny’s Edge 2.1. Marjorie will also get the next specialization. The spirit of her sister Belinda was bound to the clan sword of the Delaquas. It apparently has affinity to ritualist magic. Maybe the specialization will focus on conjured weapons, just like elementalist’s conjured weapons? For instance, Belinda’s sword conjuration will become Weapon of Devotion. Maybe that’s the reason why they are “downgrading” the other conjured weapons, to give way to the necro’s spirit binding skills.

That or they’re giving them spirit skills and weapon enchant through a new F mechanism.

Wait… what? how are the traps useless for condi guards? you get two multi hit traps that apply bleed with each hit, not even counting the fact that the whirl does good physical and the beam is just… insane with 25 vuln stacks. I think a radiance/DH/Valor build will still have good sustain and just be insane with condition burst between burning,bleeds, poison, and just the raw physical damage you will be able to put out between vuln application and the fact that we get an insane amount of crit on burning targets now due to radiance.

Yup we just need a sigil of doom and we are good to go on the condi/power hybrid build build if we get someone with the 2 multi hit traps thats 20 bleeds + 4 burn procs + 25 vulnerability, 1 MB after that can kill any zerker build.

Not to mention our traps can have a 100% hit rate if used with Judge’s Intervention. Something that Ranger’s only dreamed of. Switch to GS/Hammer and you have yourselves a nasty burst combo.

Pretty sure they said that traps will have a 0.5s arming time, so point bank trap won’t work that well.

A couple notes on Dragonhunter. We went with this name because we felt it was evocative of the medieval witch hunters. Guardians consider themselves protectors of the innocent. Followers of their faith be it in honor, valor, etc. The origin of the dragonhunter is a more subtle nuanced version of this. Guardians fight for justice and the dragonhunter faction believes justice is the eradication of dragons and their minions. I understand this is a lot more high concept than Mesmer but at the end of the day we felt like we wanted to try and push a more mature theme here. I hope this helps explain our thinking. We had other generic names in mind but felt like it was important to have a mix of spec names that are generic fantasy, more Tyrian fantasy, and more high concept. This one falls more in the third category.

It has still little access to swiftness and no movement speed bonus. Also they can’t really spam conditions at will, burning is a sure thing but bleed can be easily cleansed and you’ll have to move into the trap.
Also there’s no interrupt, except that auto KB and whatever they can bring from the core class.
The good part is that they have no pet, so damage-wise they’re more reliable and the traps will be good for PvE and fast dungeons/boss encounters

So far the only area where the DH can’t beat the ranger is burst (double Maul/Rapid Fire after traitline revamp), condition pressure (it does great condi damage but only burning, bleed, cripple and immob) and HP.
Their traps are way better, they don’t have a pet with stupid AI, they have the core support skills of guardians, better CC and on top of that, damages. Of course the numbers will change before release (it looks far too strong right now).

We can expect something good for the druid but I don’t have much hope for the pet…

The problem with your build is that the fury trigger on greatsword has a 10 second cooldown. Not only that, but you give up 2 +10% damage boosts for sword for a +25% on a long cooldown, and +5% damage on a weaker weapon.

So yeah, that 10 second cooldown on fury from greatsword is pretty limiting.
If you look at the considerations, I do outline this build, although we take sword and strider’s defense instead of Quick Draw. You end up with a really good burst, but you fall off in sustained damage.

It’s certainly viable though. There are just those issues coming from not really gaining that much from Remorselss due to fury cooldowns. And if you run Quick Draw, you fall off REALLY hard after your initial burst.

You’re right, I didn’t see the 10s recharge, it might still be viable depending on the team, pets and what runes you’re using but there’s too much “if”. Might still be fun in the hand of skilled players in PvP/WvW.
So we’re stuck with Sword’s clunkiness for PvE…

Greatsword might be pushed over Sword for DPS, it got a huge buff with Remorseless and Quick Draw coupled with TH Training.
But it’s not definitive so we’ll have to wait for release.

Spirits and pets are still here and that’s still quite a concern.

What my build will looks like for dungeons:

Beastmaster’s Bond + Steady Focus + Remorseless

Skirmishing:
Tail Wind
Furious Grip
Hunter’s Tactics

Sharpened Edges + Spotter + Quick Draw

Beastmaster:
Instinctual Bond
Loud Whistle
Pet’s Prowess

Companion’s Might + Two-Handed Training + Zephyr’s Speed

Use with GS/GS. Every 2 hits you gain fury which trigger Remorseless and gives you Opening Strike (+25% damage on next hit, 100% crit and inflicts 5 vuln). Swap Weapons for Fury + Swiftness + Sigil and to trigger Quick Draw, Maul just after that to get a 66% CD reduction for the next Maul. Swap pet for Haste + Blast finisher + Might/Fury/Swiftness.

The fun part is that you technically don’t need Precision since it’s wasted every 2 hits, but as far as I know there’s no armor with Power/Ferocity/Condi and I’m not sure the bleeding from Sharpened Edges could outdamage a normal crit with 80%+ chance (Fury is always up and you have Spotter).

It could outdamage a sword build (provided you always use high damage skills with Opening Strike), sadly the numbers are prone to change and with the madness Remorseless + Quick Draw will bring to PvP (Double boosted Mauls) it will probably be nerfed (either Quick Draw CD reduction lowered, Remorseless having an ICD or TH Training’s Fury chance reduced or changed to something else like Might).

One Shot builds...

Assuming you have OS up, you could weapon swap to GS to trigger -66% recharge, then, SoTH, SoTW, maul, trigger MoC with hilt bash, Pet swap to trigger Beastmasters Bond and therefore Remorseless with zephyrs speed then maul again. Absurdly hard to connect with it all, but it would do insane dmg, even with none of the other modifiers up.

You can CC with either pet and/or weapon. You’ll probably get moment of clarity in this build so you can also use shortbow’s Concussion Shot for 2s of stun/daze. Entangle with Krait Runes is also a nice choice (Immob + 3Condis, not many skills remove 4 conditions). Immobilize + Taunt from pet (get QZ over Zephyr’s Speed) is another option. And you can use stealth to your advantage.
Skilled players will see coming anyway.

Numbers will probably change, we will probably get a beta to test this.
