I really fear that anet may nerf sword because this stupid build, it will get nerfed you want or not I hope anet realizes the problem isn’t sword but the traits .
it does not take a rocket scientist to figure out u need the right traits to pull off s/d condi lol

just add automatic anti air craft guns to the castles XD —would be easier than changing the terrain so people can not glide in to the castles !
not to mention but it is really easy to get bugged out in the new terrain changes that have been made

You are all missing the point. I tried to tell a fellow guild member WHO to turn in the Teq tailpieces… and the GAME filtered the NPCs name.
We all understand perfectly…. and we all agree its dumb. So all thats left to do is talk about the idiosyncrasy of language that caused the problem in the first place.
karmakrash.. if u are having trouble typing something that is getting blocked you can all ways send a single letter at a time ,,, may be painful to read but at least u can get the word through.

they should do something with shadow trap it is really unreliable and buggy.
if it is not used on flat ground it always gets cut short, u need to be perfectly lined up with a return spot for it to work other wise you are SOL and will get cut short of the return location.
I mean I wish the skill was reliable but it is not, and that in combination with the long cast time pretty much make it nothing but a gamic- if u can find a little area where it does not bug out to much it could be a lot of fun but the skill should not get caught up as much as it does

I am not going to buy Bandit Sniper ill just wait for shadow assassin outfit to go back up for sale ,, kinda bummed they did not put it up for sale when they where selling the GS katana but I guess they are trying to push the Bandit Sniper
I almost liked Bandit Sniper but all the knives all over it kinda ruined it for me specially the ones by the achilles tendon – lol good luck walking with out permanently crippling your self ;D

u get a free steal now on a successful dodge if u run acro and use swindlers equilibrium
down side the free steal will go on 20 sec cool down no matter what if u dodge a attack even if u have not used your steal yet so u really need to open with steal than dodge if u want to make use of it :S—- can feel pretty clunky if u don’t
probably easier to just use daredevil but the extra steal can lead to some nice combos with improvisation and extra damage from mug , u can steal loads of boons with bountiful theft – or if u go condi get some extra confusion with bewildering ambush

I miss the old but i really hate how the new trait for signets of power only has on kill effects I think the only signet that works well with the on kill effect is signet of shadows with the gain stealth on kill
signet of agility should just grant endurance on a successful dodge
assassins signet should grant might on crit
signet of malice and infiltrators signet should just increase the passive effect or something
idk but the number of on kill effects kind of make the trait feel pretty useless the trait will never see the light of day in pvp … no in fact I see 0 reason to use the trait in any gamemode
the stealth on kill could be fun but u cant really justify picking this trait and slotting sig of shadow for something so minor the stealth does not even stack … and if they where worried about stealth stacking through multiple kills they could have just added a cool down

You would have to make WvW maps larger and also account for people making mounted escapes.
It would change a lot, more than what gliding did for sure.
Well, mounted escapes wouldn’t really be a thing, because you cannot mount while in combat. The main benefits would be mobility outside of combat, and an engage tool when charging into combat.
they would need to come up with a system better than tera is using because if all u need to do is get out of combat for a second before using a mount mounted excapes will be a problem and wvw would end up becoming a circus , at very least have a short timer after leaving combat so mounted escapes would not be as easy to pull off
I also like your stable idea because if u get knocked off u cant just hop back on you would need to go back to the stable to get a new one
but I got to say I am scared for my framerate as if wvw is not laggy enough as it is

stop comparing tera its a different game…. with different mechanics…
Also you need waaaay more time then 1 sec free window to Mount up + Run out of range…. and all that without getting hit by anything…..
if all u need to do is get out of combat for a second before using a mount they are not different mechanics and is a fine comparison. there may be a difference in class skills but that does not change how it will play out in gw2
all I am saying is if there is going to be mounts in wvw come up with something better than the mechanics tera is using

if you can get out of combat with your mobilities and utilities away from the enemy it just means you would have escaped and run away anyway so mounts wont make a difference in it especialy when your enemy also can mount up so its back to being fair lol…..
Thiefs for example can dodge roll teleport accross half the zone away from you if he wants to anytime….
just because u can get out of combat for a SECOND does not mean u

they may change green and blue border maps to there own unique zones that will be equally large

lol equipping any weapon set will not change your base dodge
you may have a weapon set that has a dodge on it…. or u may have traits that change your dodge like daredevil ..
you get blinds with d/p maybe u are confusing a blind with a dodge but I doubt we are lucky enough to have a coding problem that increases our dodge with d/p lol

I don’t think so, the dev just said that the problem was game wide. I suppose they just tracked the bug and corrected it.
ya your right they just fixed a bug with the patch
now if only they can fix the pathing issues with shadow trap and improve scorpion wire so they are both more reliable

these changes are almost enough to make the trait trickster a option except it is still pretty hard to give up bountiful theft
it took for-EVER “like sense the start of the game”- but at least it happened … they finally reduced the ridiculous cool down for roll for initiative from a insane cool down of 60 sec to at least a reasonable 35,
probably could go even lower with out making a difference but at least it can be a option now instead of waste of space in the thief utility kit
now if only they could fix the pathing for shadow trap and improve scorpion wire we might actually have a complete utility kit to work with .
P.S ty for the improvement to signet of shadows now it has a use besides running me to the bank

can we please change the tabs in the crafting stations to be closed when u first click to use them …
the first thing I do when using a crafting station is close all the tabs because it makes it 1000 times easier to find what u are looking for
fix the pathing …….. please …. there really is nothing worse than getting that message…
well u know except for the random times when your skill actually goes off and there is still pathing problems and u basically waste the skill
don’t get me wrong I have been playing d/d for a long time and I can land them pretty frequently .. but what happens when u miss is just ridiculous ..
I mean d/d was already a build u needed to play pretty precisely you pretty much only get 2 chances to stick to your target c/d+steal and c/d + infiltrators signet, its not like d/p where u have shadow shot on hand lol.
.5 seconds would help but I think this change is just unassay it is trying to increase the skill ceiling where it is not needed.
as for deathblossom people have been asking for that to be changed sense the beginning of time ….I am at a loss of words for that one

i am not really saying to buff anything i think the back stab cool down was a poorly thought out idea that anet ran with it to satisfy the people who where complaining about thief at the time..
removing the cooldown would not really buff anything just remove a unnecessary punishment that in the end really only hurts d/d … because well d/p can just re-stealth if they miss .. who needs stealth if u run sword …. and to makes things simple who cares about any of the above if u run condi ..
if there goal was to just nerf d/d by adding a cool down for missing a back stab than they hit it out of the park because this nerf really only affects the game play of d/d none of the other weapon sets are affected by this change nearly as badly… but for some reason i highly doubt that was there soul intension. I think they tried to increase the skill ceiling like people where asking for but this really was not thought out and in the end just affects d/d

remove the back stab cool down … this was a bad change for so many reasons
and in the end all it does is handicap d/d and increases the importance of using d/p for the added stealth. I mean d/p is so superior compared to d/d and this change only enforces that. come on how are u going to turn down d/p u even get the added benefit of using primordial impact to its fullest.
if this change was made because thieves where breaking aegis and where still in stealth all they had to do was make breaking aegis reveal u.
if this change was made because they though it would increase the skill ceiling well it doesn’t…. basically they might as well have just added a trait that says thief has a 25% chance to miss and will be left a sitting duck in stealth and forced to use initiative if they want to break stealth.
no matter what way u look at it is simply bad design to get locked out of your auto attack for missing a attack… missing that attack destroys skill rotation, if u are forced to break stealth using initiative you are now SOL and in the hole low on initiative
this nerf is nothing but a dog and pony show forcing u to jump through hoops for no reason ..and at the end of the day all it does is say use d/p or say forget it and go sword better yet forget power go condi

the expansion will be worth it if they just remove battle at champions dusk and replace it … that map is the worst
u may not like standing in circles but that map is not the answer .. it is like a terrible remake of a moba
so after finally unlocking the specialization I decided to try my Mesmer in wvw
idk I am having some trouble I tried staff but I can hardly get any stacks of conditions they just get cleansed off and if there is to many people around the bounces seem useless because every time they just bounce off to a new person ..
staff seems to be more useful in pvp where u might be fighting 2 people so at least your bounces keep bouncing to the same people instead of a new one every time
tried going power GS but now I am just super squishy and conditions just chew me up
I do pretty decent in pvp but wvw as a Mesmer is a whole new beast I don’t know what do I am so lost
pretty much wvw and pvp will be ruined for you,, yes you can still play wvw and pvp but everyone else will have options to a whole new stock pile of tricks unless u get the expansion ….
if u play pve casually and have not done a whole lot of anything you have nothing to worry about

but no hand glider and no precursor crafting and so on
just get jormags breath if u don’t mind the exact same skin but blue … if u really want red fire get the fire bringer
the fire bringer has the same skin as honor of humanity but lights on fire when u wield it

I actually think Final Rest looks just as good for a fraction of the price.
final rest is not even a scythe … it only looks like one because one of the wings is lined up with the camera … so as long u pretend that u don’t see the other I guess u can have your scythe but its not …
u just got to keep telling your self I don’t see that other wing till u go insane and become totally delusional
The trick is to cancel it in most cases I think. It’s far from a useless skill. The shield toss could be a little faster though.
I have been doing this but 25 seconds is not really a short cool down for something u are just going to cancel after a second of using it
people don’t want it because it is rare … people want it because final rest is ugly and this one is just a normal looking scythe…
there is no room by the practice bots.. trying to do simple test on the practice bots is a pain when u agro the other bots 2 feet away … or roll off a cliff messing around with evade skills —the map is dark and gloomy —for some reason it is divided up in to islands so u end up using WP’s every ten seconds —honestly the only thing I like about it is the death pit
they should have just made a few floating islands above the old pvp lobby with some up drafts leading up there
I think u are missing the core issue … everything has a butt cape ! … but there is no cape in the game !
less butt capes more customization and item pieces … like normal capes.

what do u guys thing about adding a blind to envoy of exuberance … blind foes and protect allies
we need more staff skins that look like a spear for the reverent and daredevil, skins like the dragonfury, impaler, krytan spear would look great on land.
and its not like anyone fights underwater anymore, why not just make a second version of some of the spear skins as a staff.
