tl;dr thieves are fine, however lack variety. Don’t nerf, will be useless class. Look for ways to give thieves more playstyles.

After reading this thread, I am going to assume ghaleon is pretty bad, or possibly using information based on very few fights. Scepter focus zerk ele vs zerk thief (any) is actually a really fun fight, requiring fast reactions, and equal skill from each player! I know this because I main thief and also ele, and I am also a moderator of a gambling duel server. I watch many of the best players duel, and one night, I watched one of the best fresh air eles, and d/p thiefs duel over 30 times, sharing wins back and forth all night. I KNOW for a fact that fresh air and thief is a pretty equal fight, and much more entertaining than watching a cele v cele fight. Also, the ranger vs thief is pretty balanced in a situational matter. Generally, the thief has to be smart about his stealth, escaping when invulns are up, avoiding CC (the longbow push back, pet fear, forcing ranger out of longbow). The thief can easily burst a ranger down if he’s stuck in melee and has no more active defense. However, in a team fight, I believe the ranger has a BIG upperhand, because not only does the thief have to decide to attack the ranger, or another target, but if the thief chooses not to attack the ranger, the ranger can roll him in seconds. If he chooses the ranger, his teammates can peel just enough for him for the ranger, to again, roll him in seconds. Zerker mesmer seems to still have a few issues with thief, but I’ve seen mesmers win fights versus thieves as regular shatter. I’m beginning to think shatter may not be the best way to fight a thief anyways. I noticed signet builds handling thieves very well (condi or zerk; condi being off topic, sorry). I feel like thief is in a “decent enough” position right now. On a scale(100% being fully op, 0% being fully underpowered) I believe thief is about a 40 – 45%, due to team fights. In 1v1 situations, I think they are about a 50% – 55%. I’d like to see a thief build that relys more on staying in the fray of combat, dealing good damage over time (not overly bursty), without having to rely on “stay away from combat until target is at 50% hp then burst” as it feels skill-less, and silly because you don’t necessarily have to avoid most of the skills in the team fight, instead, your burst for a few seconds and quickly stealth/range/los back out of combat. I’d enjoy thief more if sword/x was more effective (not like acro/trickery opness) at staying in the fray of combat. Thief is still to squishy to sustain in combat, and if built to sustain, you become subpar (other classes will mitigate better and still deal more damage). I’d like to see different ammulets become more effective for thief. Such as soldiers, barbarians, knights, valky, maybe even rampager, without being too tanky, and still lacking damage. This would be almost impossible because d/p variants could always escape and never die if you give them a hint of tankiness. I feel like the thief playstyle is currently pigeon-held into one style. Elementalist, engis, rangers, warriors, necros, even guardians, have WAY more variety than the thief has available. Haha, notice the only class I didn’t mention was mesmers? Mesmers and thiefs have terrible variety, so requesting to nerf the only thing thieves have going for them, is going to turn the class into a character slot thats always going to sit all the way to the right of the log in screen(no ones going to log on into their thief).

Anet, I’ve played your game for almost 2 years now, and I’ve NEVER had network related lag in your game(character ricochet, skill delay, etc etc). This has been happening for about a month now, every single “kitten” time I play now! I mostly pvp, and I can’t now because I’m losing so many fights due to this network lag! When I’m not in combat, I don’t really lag, and when i get in combat, I get mad skill delay, mostly lasting 1 – 4 seconds of delay, occasionally 8 seconds of delay (yes, really, 8 seconds). Usually this will cause you to dc, but my screen will freeze and everything catches back up(not the kind of freeze where the graphics freeze, the kind when everyone starts running into walls except me). This is becomming a huge issue, because i main pvp, where timing is most detrimental.

Any ideas for the meta comp?

Seriously guys. Do something about this. Something, anything. The attacks (that shut down all the USA servers. The lizardsquad guy.) are so random, it’s unpredictable when to play. I just got my third DC during a pvp event and I’ll have dishonorable. Please remove dishonorable until you fix this garbage that is DCing us.

Hey guys, I finally decided to take the time to get some levels instead of pvping. Now that I’m 80, and have tokens of this and that of such, my primary focus is wvw and clearing content. I’ll link what currency I have so hopefully you guys can give me a good idea what I should use them for (completely lost in this part). I also have 400 in jewelcrafting, and 75 in tailor? (I think I made a mistake with jewelcrafting, it seems reletively useless and doesn’t get me any kind of cool gear..). I also one day want to own a bifrost(I’m an ele)Anyways, this is my current currency:

Karma: 189,000
Laurel: 46
Badges of Honor: 619
Symbols of Koda: 120
Knowledge crystals: 180
Shards of Zaitan: 60

I’m not very sure how to spend this currency, or whether to save it for later. Some people told me to just spend laurels on t6 mats to make money. Is this the most wise decision?

Right now, I have level 76 gear, should I go to the TP and buy some 80 gear, or should I just go with what I have and earn some gear?

I’m also on the level 73 quest for the personal story, should I finish that asap and head into Arah?

What kind of build should I be expected to run for pve? (no explanation needed if someone has a link to the current meta build for ele dungeon running)

Also, the only dungeon I have ever step foot in is Asc Cata, and I’ve noticed if I don’t have an immediate waypoint near the location, or even state I’ve never done the dungeon, I get insta kicked. How do I deal with this?

Also, I’m looking for a good PVE guild to help me learn, I’ve pvped for 2 years, and understand mechanics, I just need a little warming up to pve content and I’m sure I’d be a good asset.

How could you have implemented it in the first game and not the second one. Don’t go making cars anet, because that’s kind of unacceptable in that area. Also I forgot to mentioned, this angers me a little because the UI burns my eyes during pvp matches. Health bar at the bottom, enemys at the top, my conditions at the bottom, enemy boons on top, my party members hp on the left side of the screen? Jesus, I have to put my monitor 8 feet away just to see it all at the same time or else I’ll fail to interrupt an enemy heal because im staring at my condis or his boons.

OP is selfish. This is online gaming. Please tell me an online game where your team didnt suffer because someone dced. Stop acting like your not used to this. How is it fair if someone who doesn’t have perfect internet can’t enjoy maybe his favorite aspect of the game? You didn’t pay for his game. Anyways, their is already very strict penalties that prevent people from playing for a day or two if they dc 3 times in ?3days? (unsure).
Maybe you should get some teammates with perfect internet just like you and do very well, since you know, rating matters to you apparently and it seems kind of backwards that you play soloq and expect solid wins all the time. Hell, Dcs are JUST AS BAD as that thief on your team thats constantly running far and getting rekt everytime, or that warrior who runs around between points just to get 1v1 fights, and believing he’s being useful. And this happens ALL THE TIME in soloq.

My team is making me run hambow right now (ugh, dont even like war that much). So I evaluate my self with the following.

Playing aggressive on point during team fights without overextending. (ie: trying to hard for a kill, taking unnecessary damage, wasting stability at pointless times). aka make sure I’m making use of every moment I can deal damage within safe means.

Stacking might on team if I’m babysitting the point while they run off the point to finish a kill.

Making sure if I get into a 2v1, or a 1v1 I know I won’t win, focusing on surviving the longest possible time for the highest amount of points generated to team and enemy cap prevention.

Combining my CC with teammates CC to hold target controlled for the longest possible time.

Interrupting enemy stomps.

Using stability correctly for clutch moments of finishing and ressing; This is very much different than just using a stability everytime an enemy is down, because with proper team CC with much shorter cooldowns can usually doing a trick. This means being VERY aware of what classes the enemys are running, and knowing the possibilities their class may bring and being able to predict what could happen at this moment.

Rotating on and off point with another teammate to prevent unnecessary damage tanking; and peeling for each other while swapping.

Having a general plan with your teammates during certain situations(yes, I don’t go without a round trying to discuss a general tactic during soloqs.) and did I follow it correctly. ie: Was I supposed to rotate home if 2v1 occurs at home? or was the engi supposed to go? etc etc.

Did I make a false call during game? ie: thief can you take a look at far? oh snap we needed his help at mid, and its to late.

End

Of course, it depends on what class and role you are running. Simple things like “did I notice my teammate died” or “did I noticed the thief was attacking my home” or “did I land my skills properly” shouldn’t be evaluated, because these are addressed outside of the team mode, and is simply a lack of familiarization with the game (you’re still a noob and shouldn’t be ruining peoples rating in team arena. Go play soloq or hotjoin until you get your personal skills down.)

That sounds absolutely terrible. Why would I ever take that skill in GW2? Not only is it a garbage stun on a ridiculously long cooldown, it can even backfire and screw you over.

The OPs idea isn’t much better. Even as a weapon skill or a utility skill it doesn’t seem to be that great of an idea, certainly not as an elite. An execute that reduces downed HP? why would I want that over a regular high-damage ability?
Maybe if it automatically downed them if they are under 15% hp, I could see it being useful for tank builds that don’t do much damage. But that’d be quiet the cheese skill, could have stupid snow-balling moments, and be fairly uninteresting gameplay-wise.
A skill that deals bonus damage to low health targets is cool, but such skills are already in game. Reducing downed HP is useful, it gives you a longer period of time to stomp someone before their allies can get them up, but poison fill that role already. If you want more option to do so, I don’t think a skill like this would be the way to do it.

Lol I think his point is his elite idea is so garbage, so was gw1’s idea of headbutt for an elite skill. Aka you kinda trolled yourself on that one.

Cleansing Ire is OP, change it.

Why don’t you look at what warriors are actually DOING in spvp. They seem to be along the lines of DEFENSIVE roles. They sit on points very well (hmm bunker sounds familiar here), have less damage than pretty much any other warrior build(except a FULL bunker), control targets (again, self, and team damage mitigation, and allowing kill setups), stack might for team (team support), Ez stabilitys (stomps and reses, moar defensive stuff here). All in all, defensive line seems most appropriate for what they do in pvp. Now, when there is a meta when warriors fill the role of thieves, or offensive roamers, then, we can talk about getting outside of the defensive trait line for warrior.

Okay guys, I have 7 characters, but only 2 are above level 11. I tend to only pvp, and I had lovely designs on all my pvp characters. However, I’ve ran into an issue with my low level pvp toons. I have to be level 11 to equip a head or shoulder slot item. That means I have to spend about 5 hours per toon just to regain my prior visuals on gear. This doesn’t seem fair as I’ve had them previously. Can you please add a helm and shoulder item in the HOTM for level 2s, even if they have no visual at all? Just so I may transmute them?

It seems kind of silly with these new rewards and such from the rank up chest and players that are high rank do not get to enjoy these chests as much as say, a rank 3. A rank 3 can consecutively rank up very quickly and earn many chests, while me, (rank40) have to take quiet a while to hit the next rank. This means low rank people will have WAY more new rank up rewards than us older players. What makes me angry is the chance to get a leveling tome, and new pvpers will be able to get all these pve levels just because they are new to pvp… What I’m suggesting, is if I’m rank 40, I think I deserve 40 rank up chests..

Please don’t make a list like this if you don’t know what you are talking about. The blinds from scepter (air and earth) are actually really useful. If you learn to use them together and in between cooldowns you would realize they are actually very good. You analysis on the focus is the biggest issue of this post.

Focus is a very very good weapon if you ask me. I’m not saying it’s perfect, as it has a few issues, but it’s not near as bad as you make it to be.

For one, learn what other classes are throwing at you. You have two projectile reflects, with a condi clear tied to one, you have an invulnerability, a chill(that could help you land a dragon tooth if you are standing on the side of point) a daze, which is incredibly useful combined with the blinds to stop a target momentarily from dpsing you down, and it can even be used to interupt a heal. Of course that takes some good playing on the ele’s part. Fire shield is a good ability, nothing wrong with it. I only have two complaints about focus, but they aren’t huge issues. The first issue is the fire 4 is poorly designed. My intention when I saw this ability was to use it as a fire field to stack might; however if I attempt to stack might with my combo blasts, I can end up using about 5 blasts, and mabye only landing 2 or 3. Sometimes standing directly on top of it, using skills such as evasive arcana earth dodge, the blast still wont connect with the field. If the field was better designed, i could see fresh air being able to stack 20~ might. The other complaint, is the cooldown they put on the knockdown on air 5. I’m okay with focus having one knockdown, but it’s silly to be on such a huge cooldown. Many times if I am in a 1v1 on my elementalist landing this ability could mean the difference of winning and losing. If I don’t land the ability and I’m fighting a tankier class, I generally have to do anything I can to survive for another 50 seconds. The other problem that occurs here is if the person I’m fighting uses a stun breaker here. If they have more than one, or it comes off of cooldown in less than 50 seconds, I probably won’t ever land a dragon tooth in a 1v1 situation. Dragon tooth just becomes an ability to make a melee step back a moment, or hopefully make someone dodge roll. Also, thieves do counter fresh air ele. If you are in a teamfight, make sure to have someone help you peel the thief asap when he opens of you. With a little help fresh air can be a thieves nightmare. I’ve dropped thieves in a few seconds without even having to land dragons tooth.

Its kinda obvious that shield has a block,being a defensive weapon and all.Mace offhand does not have a block btw,youre mistaking it with mace mainhand,the offhand has vulnerability and a knockdown wave.Axes should not have any defensive capabilities since their offensive weapons and should stay that way.

My point of comparing shield and axe, is that the stun from shield(although situational) yields better offensives, vs the axe. (being able to land eviscerate, interupting a heal, etc) The axe should simply have something that makes up for not having what these other offhands have.

Going to have to disagree here for a few reasons. There are many who play this game who have a total dislike to conquest. Me being one of them. Conquest is also a very strange gamemode. A team that isn’t that great at combat can beat the other team that is superb at combat, but lacks strategy for the game mode. Okay, that’s cool and all but PvP should be about combat, not how to capture bases and hold them the best way possible. It’s also silly that the builds that are currently being used to win conquest modes. I would love to see new game modes more focused on combat. Less bunkers, less pure zerkers, less classes having to give up utility slots for the benefit of capping(mesmer for one), and players learning how to synergize together to land kills. This, to me would be the most fun for this game. Also, many players would actually learn to get better at this game. Instead right now most players (i would say 90%) don’t know how to synergize their abilities with other classes to land kills and control targets. Instead, the current gameplay is to smash CC with no organization, aoe spam, fire and forget conditions, then attempt to control when people are down(last part is the only skill play imo). However, high ranked players in team que generally have knowledge how to synergize with each other, but it generally doesn’t happen as often as it should in a PvP game. It’s easy to have your coordination screwed over by the above(aoe spam, CC spams, etc) and have your skill play completely diminished by non-skill play.

Please do add more game modes. Even if you have to balance stats and abilities tailored to the game mode.

Off-hand axe shouldn’t have to have defensive capabilities. I like that it is offense only weapon. The problem is, does the offense make up for the lack of defense?

The point wasnt that offhand axe needs defensive capabilitys. The point was that offhand swords 1 ability (impale) exceeds both axe abilitys; and that’s not including the fact sword also has a block.

And to your question. No, it doesn’t. It’s almost useless. For something that has no defensive capabilitys, you would think it’s offensive abilitys with a power build would be pretty strong.

First off, compare to other offhands.

No defensive capabilitys. Every other offhand has some kind of defense. Sword has a block. Shield has stun and block. Mace has knockdown. Warhorn has speed impairing effect removal with swiftness, and aoe weakness and vigor.

This means the only niche offhand axe has is better offensive tools.

Except both abilitys on offhand axe are worst than every other offhand that has a defensive ability. Impale(sword) is better than 4 and 5 on offhand axe combined. Mace has vulneribility, yielding more dps than both axe abilitys in pve. Warhorn abilitys may not have any offensive capabilitys, but they are clearly better defensive than offhand axes offenses. Shields stun is even better than offhand axes abilitys.

This means one thing. Offhand axe is useless at everything. The only 2 things I can see usefull with offhand axe, is being able to dodge while hitting targets, and hitting 5 targets.

Feedback on a Staff PvP build

I would probably use arcane brilliance with this build, but I lack the skill points. The blast healing is nice. But i’m just not into the flame axe. I do use arcane shield and wave as you do. I also tried 10 in air instead of water just for the extra damage when target is low. I’m not sure which is better at this point. Obviously when you aren’t focused the air is better, but I can’t really see how water 10 is keeping me alive much longer. Will try it some more to see if i notice differences. (note I tried you’re build exactly except arcane brilliance. just letting you know in case you assumed I changed everything without trying it first.)

First off, i’ll say even though it isnt the most effective weapon, I love playing staff. It seems like what skills a “mage” should be using. First off, I feel like its single target damage lacks in pvp, unless you are full glass, then it hits pretty hard but you often sacrifice much survivability for another gimmick fresh air wannabe build. I feel like there should be a grandmaster trait improving its single target damage while reducing its aoe damage, while avoiding the full glass setup.

Something along the lines of..

Staff attacks now deal 15% more damage to your target. Now deals 15% less aoe damage.

or

Staff attacks now deal 15% more damage with targeting abilitys. Fireball and Chain lightning no longer have an aoe effect.
Spells like lava font and meteor shower wouldnt be affected.

You could also tag lava font to either trait ideas; Changes lava font to no longer do damage but increases the damage from targeted abilitys by something like 10 – 25% for 3 seconds(stacks to 12 seconds if target stands if full lava font).. Without this trait lava font and fireball together probably will still do more damage together; if the target stays inside of it(not likely).

This is just some ideas being thrown around, please dont flame, but please give other ideas or your adjustments, or just simply don’t agree.

edit: Not sure what grandmaster trait this would replace. However I feel like this would give staff another role to play. It’s a great weapon for non glass players, if only you could do damage.

Tried this build and I have been enjoying it. I switched reduced arcane cooldown(with cooldown you still only use arcane shield once in moderate length fights, and long fights you might use it twice, the difference with arcane wave is only 6 seconds, not that usefull imo when using it for water combo field.) with increased staff radius. I also switch between zerker amulet and cleric. Funny but this build actually have decent survivability with the zerker amulet. I don’t feel like clerics benefits it to much due to such a low health pool. (a little under 12k). Against classes that have high damage it doesnt seem very beneficial to run clerics, you simply get bursted much to quick. I am going to try soldiers today. I feel like the toughness would be better suited with vitality for this build instead of healing power; due to the fact you dont get to heal if you die to quick. Especially healing through water fields takes a moment to build up. Was doing some 1v1s with this build, and it doesnt seem like it’s got the killing potential of most builds. At best, a good burst combo can take someones health down to 65 – 50% in a few seconds; making this build pretty nice for groups fights when you have dps to support you. I also decided to take lightning flash instead of conjure fire axe. Much better survival if you have something to get out of immobs/obvious incomming death sentences.

Yes, I know this is solo arena, but wouldnt MMR work the same regardless of solo or team arena? The thing bothering me is, the person in second place. Grend.9462. Second place worldwide for solo arena, yet has only played 16 matches? Sure, he won 14 and lost 2, and this puts him in second place? If both solo and team arena work the same way, I couldn’t imagine how easy it is to just buy a new account, que with some high mmr people, get a few wins and bam, you are on top of the world. What doesnt even make sense, is how did he do such a thing in solo arena where you don’t choose who you are queing with? Does solo and team arena MMR share with each other? If they do, that’s rediculous! Someone could ruin there MMR by playing solo arena often, gimping there self in team arena, or someone could do swell in team arena, and get a few lousy solo wins and be on top of the leaderboard. If this is not how it works, then please inform me how this works; and mabye explain why this guy is number 2 on the leaderboard.

Edit: This guy isnt the only one, there are several in the top 25 with less than 20 games played.

Are you serious? Everytime I see posts like these I feel like I’m incredibly lucky, or people are far to disturbed by something that does not happen as much as they claim. You either have the WORST luck on anyone I have ever met, or you are lying. I only spvp in this game. Everyday in fact. Never even pve. I NEVER get into 4v5s as much as ANYONE ever claims on these forums. Out of the last 100 solo arena matches, I probably have gotten into 4 to 8 4v5s.

Dual Axe=Kick. Complet useless offhand, worst warrior offhand in all gamemodes.

In PvP Dualaxe is a Joke in WvsW they are just funny, loot to go.
And in PvE they´re rly rly weak. I don´t want to carry such a bad warrior through any dungeon/fractal.

I hate people like you.

This is guild wars 2, not world of warcraft.

Power/precision/toughness is my vote. Same as barbarian amulet but toughness instead of vitality.

Havoc, he exaggerates a touch. Full glass is about 22k HP, and 2400 armour. Which is still pretty kitten ed tanky for any other class. Plus the strongest passive heal in the game – exceeding even the potential healing from an AH guardian.

There is something completely inbalanced about warrior – the fact that they give up pretty much nothing to get incredible numbers being one of those things.

No, the full glass build for maxing rifle damage is 21, 027 hp and 2113 armour. A strong passive heal, but a worthless active, and no condition removal traited. Exceeding the healing from an AH guardian? Just no. The person playing this build will be destroyed in seconds by any serious player who halfway knows what he is doing.

Fresh Air builds run with similar squishy stats (and utilities), and there are top players in solo queue running glass staff. I’m not sure why you typed that out either. Go ahead and make an Ele and try to perform well in the current meta of tanky-dps warriors & condi builds galore.

Edit: The signet also gives movement speed, positioning and all that junk.

There is a reason I went back to dagger/focus.
I hate the staff, compared to the other weapon sets I feel like it is inferior on the survival side when compared to having a focus on the offhand.

Secondly, yes, many top players do run fresh air builds, but they do not run the generic trait setup, their builds are tailored to being efficient in a tournament environment..

The signet does give movement speed, again that’s great. It wont help you survive a kill shot as well as the shield or mist form. That seems to be the new problem people are having.

speaking of staff though..

You could have reflected the kill shot.
Or blinded
or knocked him back
or dodged..

So i’m not supposed to acknowledge something I find that might be a little over the top just because I play that class? Sounds like you might just be one of those fotm players…
I’m not really complaining either. I don’t sit around all day thinking about that 17k, and complain how unbalanced the game is. In fact, I thought it was funny. I do believe it is over the top regardless. Reducing the damage and increasing the passive defenses of these types of builds seems appropriate. What other games do you see these kind of ratios, that went aloud and wasnt fixed? Oh and, what happens if you become CCed then he kill shots you? This is why things like this don’t usually exist.

To the rotation part, I prefer opening with the bow in most fights, especially group, to build up adrenaline and wait for people to use cooldowns/blow defenses. At this time when I feel its a good time to open, I use Bow burst, arcing arrow, swap, earthshaker(inside the fire field from bow burst). The rest of the time depends on what happens next in the fight. I usually play the zerker build, so I open with signet of rage when I begin my burst and try to maintain tons of might. To maintain might just follow the above rotation. Don’t forget to swap weapons often too. Arcing arrow and Hammer 2 will do decent burst when combined one after the other. However don’t only use hammer 2 as damage, weakness is pretty strong at reducing damage. Bow 4 blind is great for stopping a strong offensive ability. Bow 5 can be used defensively or offensively. It’s also a great way to keep a target inside your fire field while you burst and stack your might at the same time.

Don’t forget burst skills remove conditions. The bow burst skill doesn’t need a target to remove conditions.

This as well as two threads w/ the title something like “warrior blah blah need nerf” is what I see the most when I come into the forums. Convinced more non warrior players/mains post in here than warrior players haha.

Except warrior was my first class and pretty much main character ever since a few weeks after launch when I started playing.

the above build is capable of 25 stacks of might with Signet of Rage active, and generally 20+ish without it. Capable of 5k arcing shots.

Still capable of 25 stacks of might(double might or double endurance are both fine, but I find one might and one endurance to work well with this build because of 5 second swapping) Insane ammounts of dodging; vigor on stance, energy sigil, free dodge every burst skill. Using lyssa for this build for even more condi cleansing. Overall very strong defense with still good damage. What you lose vs zerker with this build is, confusion on interupts, 3% damage per boon on target, 49% crit vs 12%, and 20% crit damage(you could almost say 50% crit damage just because the soldiers version crit is only 12% chance).

I find merciless hammer a nice trait, but not as good as the other traits available.

Oh and, utilitys are optional to your preference. Condi cleanse/endurance regeneration signet, and endure pain are all usefull.

Failed to a Kill Shot. So pro….

I feel like you are very biased about warriors. Hey, I play one too, it was my first toon, but don’t act like kill shot is impossible to hit. When I played greatsword/rifle for fun, it really was not hard to land kill shots if you weren’t being focused. However, mine never hit that hard. This is way out of line.

It’s not out of line. It takes a lot of specialized building to reach those numbers – the warrior sacrifices a lot to get there. The skill has an incredible telegraph, and the warrior is a sitting duck while channelling it. I don’t like the skill either, because every warrior I’ve seen building for it is terrible and easily slaughtered.

I’ve actually been hit by it also, but I just laughed at myself for not seeing it, because it is really telegraphed, what with the long wind up, the going down on one knee, the neon sign over the warriors head, etc. Coming here to QQ about it is kinda over the top.

I’m not at all biased about warriors. I just hate all of the troll posts from people who cry nerf to things that are easily avoided just because they don’t understand how to fight the profession. I main a warrior, but I also have all of the other professions but necro and ele (couldn’t talk my self into buying more character slots since having lots of alts is punishing in this game). I kill warriors easily on thief, mesmer, and engineer. Really easily. Super easily. Ranger not so much, but that’s because I suck really bad on my ranger.

Mabye this is because I was playing an ele, and I have to work my rear end off just to survive(being this was a group fight). He saw that my endurance was gone, and I didn’t have my air 4(reflect projectiles) available. I’m not really complaining about the warrior necessarily, but the fact that this can happen.

Wait what? Your mad a character geared and built for full out damage was able to one shot another squishy player after having seen him use his reflects and evades? Its called counter play.

Really? So why can’t I one shot him in the same circumstance?
