I know revenant has tons of bugs that need a fix asap. So i wont discuss that here.
My biggest hope for the next wave of elite specs, is that revenant gets:
Ritualist.
Main hand scepter, with condition dmg as main dmg
And i want spirits, or weapon spells.
That would make revenant so cool.
But the thing is, how would they make The new elite specs?. Like glint? Just another legend with locked utilities?
Im wondering, cus when the elite specs was announced, didnt they say it would change the core mechanic of the proffession? I kinda feel like its going to be hard for them to make revenant feel any diffrent without reworking the whole core proffession.
What do you guys think?

ye i really hope we get something that feels diffrent, i mean, necro is becoming a melee beast. why wouldnt we get something “different” even tho it could involve pets.
would like if they made us like staff ele, but with nature spells and beast summons

I think i saw someone mention this Idea before, but cant find it. But MY wish for druids new mechanic would be:
- rework F1-4, make them into animal calls
- choose diffrent pets on those spots
- when pressing any F skills, you summon chosen pet, and it will fight with you for say 20 second, and giving a partywide boon while active
- example, F1 bear, calling out bear and giving protection.
I dunno, but this way we both have pets but dont have to be stuck with them running around all over the place 24/7. And it would be cool if you take like 4 offensive pets and chain summon them to keep like fury up all the time or something

Wierd. cuz im doing 29 daily almost everyday, and i have to wait about ~5min. playing on eu desolation. maybe 0-30 is ALOT faster then 30+ ?

All i heard was the speculation about the TA release picture, but it turned out to be a dungeon boss :/ ( the one where he’s wearing a flamethrower and slickpack )
Some pretty interesting ideas here. I was actually spit-balling some ideas on how to address this today. This has always been something that has bothered me, too.
For example:
- Have kits respect the existing back item flag. If you have a back item and you want to show it, hide the kit. If you don’t have a back item or choose to hide it, always show the kit. Obviously this makes it a little harder than usual to tell what kit you are using, so:
- A nameplate icon similar to Elemental Attunements would be a good addition (I may add this regardless if we can get the art
)
- Move the kit somewhere else on your body. I know, crazy right? For example, who doesn’t like a sweet fanny-pack?
Hopefully this finally gets resolved soon, and I’ll do what I can to see that happen. Keep in mind, as Colin mentioned before, that there are some pretty beefy projects going on that are consuming our engineering time. But that doesn’t exactly mean we can’t sneak stuff in here and there

This is bothering me so much atm, just rerolled to human due to better armors, and now i’m stuck with a hobosack that is scaled so incredibad.
It seriously looks like i am a backpack with 2 legs.
yes! would like some fancy backpacks. those we got are suited for lvl 1-50 maybe, but those leather hobopacks don’t really fit with human tier 3 or CoF armor..
Serious question, i cant be the only one who thinks, the backpack on human/norn are way too big?
It looks.. idk, just scale them down
what do you guys think?
(and yes i know we WANT a toggle option to hide it or w/e and im going to make a serious post suggestion about that)

So, i’ve been thinking about rerolling my asuran engi, to either female human or norn.
But i’m not really sure if im going to be disappointed with the looks or not.
Always missed those old gwguru screenshot request threads.
anyway, here it goes,
Please post a picture of either;
- Norn female, Tier 3, with the Green SAB weapons and/or FotM weapons (P/S – P/P)
- Human female, Tier 2,3 or TA, Green SAB weapons and/or FotM weapons (P/S – P/P)
- preferably dyed black/abyss or any other dark coloured
If any of you have it, and would like to post, i would be so grateful!
and if you guys have any req. please feel free to use this thread to request any engineer armor+weapon combos you would like to see.

Oh ye, now i got your point, sorry for misunderstanding.
Well, i just want to make some noise about this. If we all show some interest in this topic, maybe we can even get a dev response. Because it seems like alot of ppl want it back, atleast the ones i’ve spoken with.
I remember them and I liked them a lot, it would be too cool to implement back those skins, but they’re from a relatively easy dungeon.
If grindanet removed them there was a reason, so if you believe that they will replace the current ones, in my opinion, you will be a sad panda :/
But its not another skin or anything, its just a part of the armor that you was able to dye, so i dont get it, they dont need to replace anything, just make it dyeable again.
I can’t find it, but i remember a screenshot in beta of a Asuran engi, with white armor and green glowing flames, it was so insanely cool. Like, Dr. Madness lol
IMO, i would suggest leveling that guardian you have to level 80.
Its great for that kinda of casual play.
- Highly wanted in Dungeons
- Easy to complete maps with ( lots of heals, blocks, dmg, movement )
- Great in World vs. World.
Its a pillar class, you can use it everywhere with ease.
I myself is having a hard time finding a character to play, even tho i have more time etc. but one thing that can help you finding “your” character. is by checking out some youtube video’s of various classes. See how they play.
aaaand, in the end. its your personal choice, so just play the one you enjoy & like the armor looks of.

Actually, you’re expecting far too much. The flames of the armor retain their orangy-yellow look to keep them relatable to the Citadel of Flame. It was a design decision to make them better associate with the location they came from.
Be mindful that this is a game that designed by A.Net, played by the gamers. Not the other way around.
I get that, but alot comes from the players feedback, and since they had it in the beta it wouldn’t be hard to implement.
So the only reason i can see, is that CoF is all bout the flames. But does it really need to be ?
By having the flames set to yellow, it’s so hard to make a use out of all those 150-200+ dyes

Hey guys, haven’t seen this been brought up much. So i just want to check the your opinion on this.
I’m in love with my asuran CoF armor, but it’s kinda limited, like very limited in terms of colour themes. All because of the yellow flames, and i get it, its flames.
But i remember some old beta footage of the armor ( don’t know if it was incomplete or dyeable ) but it would make this armor SOO much more viable if we could dye the flames (again)
tldr; Make the flames on Citadel of Flame armor dyeable again.

kindaaa dislike thieves, sure its great in singletarget n stealth, but other than thakittens just meh ( imo )
In a PvE setting warriors are already being replaced for other higher dps classes
Such as? rangers? I can still only see the same meta group in DnT and HCs speed clears.
I’m kinda curious, cuz i hear about other classes compete with warriors but don’t see it anywhere.
My major point is, even if it came out very fuzzy. Is that i just want the devs to go on to the forums, saying
" Sup guys, sorry about the delay, the guys have been working on some future project for gw, but now they are back and working on splitting the queues and adding this map, with some small changes for the ranger pets, here is a list on what our priority’s are for this patch " or whatever.
But now its like, ever bluepost i see or sotg i listen to, they act like:
“yup,yup, we’re looking at that, yup looking at that aswell, thaaaaats being looked at. we are aware of this, but heeey we got this awesome idea for a necro skill (that won’t come for ages)”

I can somewhat agree. It was a lot more ( may it be a montage or a guide ) when the game released. But i think it’s due to population, I’m browsing Youtube almost every day for some new neat video’s but 90% of the time it’s just some low resolution thief ganking upscaled ppl in WvW.
I would love top Pve/Pvp’ers to make guides/montages/highend fractals gameplay etc with commentary!

Hey! note that this is just my personal opinion. but here is just my 2 cents
I think it’s pretty hard for a thief to settle with a build for both WvW and PvE.
because, in WvW thief’s strongest side is to hit n run. D/P / Shortbow is imo so superior.
But in dungeons, i think D/D or S/P is the strongest builds we have atm.
I’m running S/P / shortbow 25/30/0/0/15 in PvE and D/P / Shortbow in WvW but can’t remember the traits out of my head.
I think a shortbow is a must in PvE, its decent sustain in ranged dmg which you gonna need. and good blast finisher for team utility.
and for me, it’s too much soldiers, i personally don’t think its needed.
I could link my builds/traits tomorrow, a bit late for me now.
Really like some of the idea’s here keep posting to bring this subject some attention.
How about something like this:
F1 Steal ( Same as now?, maybe only give you a offensive bundle for balance it out? )
F2 Cloak – Vanishing in stealth for 3s while gaining initiative.
F3 Retreat – Roll backwards and gain Protection 5s.
Don’t know if it would be op, tbh i don’t think so. It would help us a lot in survivability both in PvE and Pvp, not in teamfights tho..
I want something thats helpful in teamfights/teamplay i.e dungeons,tpvp.
Both in terms of viability & contributing ( the need to bring a thief ) And in terms of the need for a class to be fun to play in team scenarios. tbh, a ressbot/cluster spammer isn’t that fun. ( i know we can dish out top dps in pve, tho 90% of the community doesn’t )
Buuuuuut i can’t come up with such ideas. Not something good atleast.
Maybe those additions should be in our utility skills?
Bah it’s to early.. this became a wall of text, my brain is just a mess :P it’s just some ideas, and maybe its bad, but opens up ideas for other ppl etc. so keep posting suggestions for the future of our thievery !

- this is not a whine/complaint thread (even if it may sound like that) I play almost every class, so its not like “buff my class cuz its bad, u all so OP”
but just something that came to my mind.
Imho, i think they should update our class mechanic a bit.
NOT because it’s underpowered or something, but not just as FUN/ACTIVE as other classes.
I know they spoke about “maybe-whenitsfinished-soon-innearfuture” remove the need of a target to teleport.
but even so, i think its pretty lame considering what the other classes have in terms of how engaging their abilities are.
I mean look at mesmer, guardian, engi almost all classes have more depth in their class specific abilities.
I don’t have a complete rework for this in my mind. But something that would be fun is to take our poisons and throw them into f2-f4.
Make them coat or weapon for X amount of hits with cripple/bleed/stun or what ever. Just make it so you have to adapt more to the fight and to get an actuall choice.
Cuz I don’t really think its fun to be depended other classes/creeps to get some half decent ability.
That’s just my 2 cents. What do you guys think?

We had GvG, it was great. We don’t have it in gw2. Stop pretending.

Seriously, we had a really hard time, first getting a group, then running it with some new ppl, explaining it all. just to end up with… nothing.
When we finally arrived at the Altar. there we’re no boss. and we tried everything…
teleported back, ran from different waypoints back to the Altar. but nothing.
The npc just followed us around.
Please fix this asap. can’t stand wasting 2½ hour in a dungeon just so i can get 0 Shards!
I demand my 60 tokens… atleast.. ( didn’t even get a single bag of goods )
p.s we wrote a support ticked ingame aswell with screenshots.
