no, I’m not trolling, you can actually check my history, I don’t think I’ve posted anything on forums for a couple of months.
secondly, I indeed can use google and I am aware of new MMOs that are comming but what I’m interested in is the general attitude of the forum community towards new games, if mentioning the words such as gw2 killer makes you think I am just trolling I apologise but I thought it was a funny term and it is suitable for my question.

I stopped visiting forums a while back, and just focused on playing the game, I sometimes have a feeling that forum community and game community are two completely separated groups of people, so I decided to come and ask a question here too:

What is the next, or what is the new GW2 killer?

back in my day, every second gw2 forum topic was about certain “futuristic clone of most popular mmo” and an mmo adaptation of certain series of games which had something to do with ancient scrolls.

(I am trying not to mention any names so that I evade those negative points on forums, I hope I manage )

so, all in all, is there a new MMO that will make Tyria a wasteland?

OP, your lists about expansion and LS are quite accurate, thank you for making it easier for me tpo decide which one I like more.

I choose the first option. (All the things you mentioned can be downloaded in less then two weeks, it would be absurd if new race would take up that much memory so it is plausible to give any of those features along with LS chapter)

If I have time and luck, I can spend 6 hours in one day in wvw (but not karma train) fighting and farming player kills, and those days I believe I always get one exotic.

On regular days (I do not open wvw champ puches so I guess that spme exo might be stuck there) I would say I get at least one, maybe two in one week. By regular I mean 2-3 hours of different content each day.

When I play only to get daily, none.

Am I the onlyone who thinks that quicksand river might be above magic layline?

I have no evidence but that was my first thought when I saw it.

I started having this problem just a week ago maybe, and it’s driving me crazy.
I can’t /w anyone, typing the name manually does not help. and after some delay (1-10 mins) the chat will suddenly offer to send the attempted whispers.

I do not mind someone having or not having mini, but if mechanism of showing slot for item only if obtained exists, why not implement it also for limited edition minis?

First of all I need to say that I do not care neither about whining collectors nor the pvpers who want exclusive and limited pvp reward. Having said that, one thought appeared in my mind while reading topics about the matter.

Saying in my country goes something like “far from eyes – far from heart”, so in the spirit of that sentence, would you, the collectors mind if there was a miniature you couldn’t obtain, but also if there wasn’t an empty slot in your collection tab?

That way, the illusion of having every mini is somewhat perserved, you do not “see” that you do not have one, and pvp winners get to keep one unique reward.

7 days ago I decided that I shall try and get my sunbringer and wurm slayer titles, 2 days ago I obtained both.

Those bosses are hard, yes, but they are also one of the memoriable experiences that I have in this game, they are not made for zerg to be loot piniatas, but for a large group of people willing to organise and cooperate.

Should or shouldn’t such bosses be in instanced areas is different topic, but I object to proposition of nerfing these two endgame bosses in guild wars 2.

OP, I haven’t quite understood you, but those who played from the beginning (or those who played more) should ofcourse have more APs or currencies.

As for dailies, there is a cap, after obtaining 10000 aps from dailies you won’t get any more. Eventualy, all who play will reach that cap.

I do not see the problem with the curent system, considering the distribution of achievemnt points.

I have played for almost 2 years, and have 8.5k AP, we can clearly see who played more, should I demand that I get 14k instantly? nope.

Right now,I am farming 1st boss with 4/5 gambits with my thief, someone told me eles can be extremely good at farming (boss dead in 8 seconds good) so can anyone share some thoughts or a build designed for farm?

I have no experience in programming, but would like to ask, would it be possible for you to include price information along with each food?

I’ve seen some sites which use API ( though I do not know what does api stands for ) of gw2 to get the current prices of all items on tp, so is it possible for you to do the same, that feature would be awesome!

1. Because this is the best MMO I have tried until now (tried a few of them) and on top of that it’s without subscription.

2. Frequent updates and as casual gamer I enjoyed LS season 1, so I am expecting season 2 to offer even more fun.

3. I adore huge wvw openfield battles, whenever I am bored of something, I go to wvw and have a blast fighting huge battles (if there is any).

I have been thinking… What if:

they put counters, each champ you kill – 1 counter, each keep you capture – x amount of exp is stored in pool, each karma rewarding event is stored also;
and when/if your team wins, you get 100% of your rewards, finish second and you get 75%, finish third and you get 50%.

e.g. you killed 50 champs (50 champ bags stored) captured 10 keeps (100 000 exp stored, 10 000 karma stored), you finished third and you get 25 bags, 50 000 exp and 5000 karma.

the rewards would be given in the end of the ’’matchup’’ but I suppose it would be better for a matchup to last for 1hour or 1.5 hours instead of 3.

but anyways, I am thinking of going with power/vitality/condition dmg gear, I have a question though, are marks able to hit critical damage and would stacking power make them stronger the way the power boosts wells’ dmg (and is it viable to do that)?

I have been searching throughout forums for a day or two now, but I can’t seem to find what I have in my head.
I am not interested in providing support with my skills, all I want is to tag whole enemy zerg, survive and collect my lootbags.

From researching on the topic I still do not understand should I go for condition damage or power gear (or both) nor what runes would be the best (my choice would be rune of the krait)

I am looking into different ’wellomancer’’ builds but all of them try to be suportative in some way or another and I am not looking for that, if I can sacrafice my aoe blind well for something that will provide me with one more loot bag, I want to know what is it

So all in all I am looking for aoe damage build able to withstand some hits but also able to tag almost everything within seconds.

Just yesterday I got my Arah Armors Box from the completed reward track in spvp, and first I thought that just as the description of the box says – that I will get armor set, instead I was offered with choosing one item out of one of the sets.

I won’t QQ or anything here or now, but please correct the description of item because right now it says ‘’Dungeon armor choice boxes contain a specific dungeon armor set and a specific set of stat combos’’
-Clearly, it contains a specific dungeon armor item.

I do not intend to defend SFR or BB or Deso, I just want to say how I saw the things, and why I acted in a way I did.

I helped as much as I could BBay tonight, in those 60 minutes by taking camps away from deso and such. The reason behind my actions is the double teaming or focusing that occured yesterday, that is when BBay invader invited me to party up with him and asked me ‘’Deso your girlfriend now?’’ – I was confused and asked what is that supposed to mean, the BBay invader told me that at that very moment we were focusing the kitten out of them. I soon realised that while blindly following commander in EB I haven’t noticed that that was the case and since I do not support such play, I left my zerg and went on to roam in some BL with guildies.

Deso, I suppose you are mad because we did openly allow BBay to take over our stuff, but I don’t think any commander was giving orders, wherever I went, I saw roaming groups of 5-8 people acting on their own and executing their vision of justice.

I know we focused BBay yesterday, I know because I was there when we did it, today I wanted to somehow make ’’debt’’ even, and helped BBay instead.

Anyways, that is my reasoning, I didn’t follow orders of our fellow commanders, I acted on my own, even if they raged at me, I would still do the same.

I adore new system, I was tiered of having to have available trait points in order to be able to see what other traits I can use. (you had to click on trait provided you have available points to spend, and then gain a menu with all the other choices).

hm, I’ll try it out, it seems good, the only question I have is, are runes a free choice, or superior runes of divinity are the best ones?

I am sorry for asking probably already answered question, but searching forums didn’t give me results.

Anyways, I love this game, and feel that every class has some interesting mechanics and I’ve decided that thief is going to be my next wvw specialised alt.

I am looking for a roaming build, possibly deadly in 1v1 or 1v2 combat, or at least annoying enough that I always menage to get away from enemy.
The way I will play my thief is mainly settling down at enemy camp, and killing their dollyz as they leave for their towers. My friend is rolling a thief so we could also team up and one shot scattered defenders in EB, or keep the enemy interested in their spawn.

So that’s my general idea of how I’d like to play it, long story short – Excellent survival, good enough dps to bring dolly down fast and that’s it.

I dont have much experience playing as thief, only 40ish hours of wvw leveling and that’s it. I dont know what weapons would be best for this cause, but I am thinking d/p&sb 0/20/30/20/0 traited with assassin’s gear.

p.s. Advice on utilities is welcomed.

I am not sure what are you asking for, because I thought, and just now checked, that all of the infinite gathering tools are account bound, meaning that you can transfer them to other alts with your bank.
if you are suggesting that you want to recieve 3 same items, for 3 different characters, I do not see the point, if you are too lazy to port to bank, deposit the tool, and then relog and withdraw it, you are free to buy more than one.

They have already returned them in gem store, around winter’s day, do you think that they will be available again in this sale promotion?
if yes, how likely do you think it will happen?
if no, what’s your reasoning?

right now, im on exactly 0 profit/0 loss if I sell some dyes I bought, but I will gladly do so if they plan on releasing them again.

p.s, the response of a dev. saying that they will, or will not do it would be greatly appreciated, but I doubt it will happen :-D

and what gear would you suggest for pve zergs?

I dont have much experience playing on guardian – around 40 hours of lvling in wvw, and I am interested in trying staff for tagging lots of mobs in farming events.

Is there some meta build, or simple guidelines for that cause?

The build should have enough survivability to stand in the hearth of zerg and do enough dps to tag every single mob.

I am sorry that I left such impression, I dare to say I am quite skilled myself, I wanted to compare and tune my personal shout heal/shield/healing signet build with general opinion here.

I have tried all of the professions with at least 40 hours of active play in wvw, my personal opinion is that warrior has the best self support tank, and guardian best group support tank.

I am interested in FULL tank build – sacrifice everything for the sake of survival, make the best use of group support of others, make best use of my own skills for myself.

Basically, can you recommend me a build which is selfish (so to say) and will allow me to be the last man standing in big zerg fights?

btw, i’m not interested in roaming, or soloing, but running with the zerg and holding a front line.

I have played on seafarer’s rest for over a year, are you sure we are on the same server? because you saying that it’s emty, and me getting frustrated because of overflow on some maps can’t be on same SFR.
maybe just the starting zones are emtysh, because the major population of gw2 comunity is already at higher levels, even so, try visiting queensdale (a starting zone) and see if you can’t find players there.
Server is not empty, maybe there are less players because this is a season holidays, and noone have much time to play.
Lion’s arch is the gw2 version of Rome – all paths lead to LA so there you can find people with whom you can party up and level together, or find yourself a guild.
and in the end, you have chosen Tier1 wvw server, meaning that a large part of comunity is directed towards world vs. world activity, so that may be the reason why yoiu don’t see many players in pve.

I strongly suggest that you stick with us, I know I love this server.

I saw some rather easely recognised bots, but except of reportingthem I couldn’t do anything, so I was wondering whether me capturing a recording of gameplay woth them botting should be enough to get the banned.

I know that not erveryone can or is willing to do such thing, but I am, and probablysome other people, so at least it could be something.

I think it would make sense just because we already have a notification about Scarlet’s invasions already, the lore of GW2 is placed around dragons, why should we be more scared of invasion of one villain, and call for help the whole world, but not for Tequatl, or Claw of Jormag?

I think I saw somewhere, that you could buy only one of the same kind, I was confused as I also did read that you can buy any quantity for yourself at 40% discount, maybe you should wait and see that someone confirms you can buy 25 BLCs.

There is one thing I wanted to do, and that is to make this topic. It does not have any real purpose except to make my wish come true.

The thing is, (maybe it is just my impression) whenever I come here and browse throughout the forums or even in game, there are a lot of people who are not pleased or are disappointed with Guild Wars 2 in some way.
I’m not saying they dont have a reason to be, it’s just that I wanted from some reason to say “thank you ArenaNet for such wonderfull game!”

I enjoy playing guild wars 2, and I’m happy to be part of such masterpiece, I’ve bought it one month after official release and haven’t regretted it ever since. In my opinion it is awesome and has offered me much, much fun in this year, so once again – thank you ArenaNet!

Metaphysicist ty m8, it really boosted my fps because this whole time my res was set on max.

I like gw2, but I noticed that when I am in big fights, my fps goes down to 5-10, also I have adjusted graphic settings so I can get best from my configuration and game.
So my question is what would you upgrade for smooth(er) gameplay / or is this too old, and I have to get a new pc?

Just as the title says, I think that if some player is dead, their corpse is indicator that they didn’t ported to way point, so I think it isn’t really necessary to have them on screen.

Maybe it’s just me, but it is really difficult to distinguish dead from alive players in the middle of the battle.

Is it possible to do something like that? ^^
