I’ve just had this twice- I tried selling and that was fine but have had no items delivered on my buy orders. Have submitted a ticket but no response as of yet.

edit apologies- it’s happened to me on the TP with regular coffers, not the rich ones.

It’s great to see ANet working on rolling out WvW changes before the promised Februrary update. Whilst I’m thankfully not on a server that will benefit much from the breakout events, the Alt-F4 fix is fantastic. I can’t say that I’m keen on the instaspawn wall/gate repair being nerfed, since for me it feels like a buff to the attacking zerg when I’d like to see defensive play getting buffed but we’ll just have to see how that goes. Advance notification of new builds can only be a good thing. Keep it up!

It’s worse than before for me too, sadly- several times this evening I’ve had a group of 10-20 enemies in front of me, all of whom have vanished instantly as I got within maybe 900 yards of them.

Thanks for working on it but I preferred the old way!

I know it’s early days but it almost feels like AM are giving up already, which I really hope isn’t the case- Gandara wants to fight you guys too!

And maybe it’s just been my bad luck but I’ve seen more Alt-F4ing from AR players this afternoon than I’ve seen from other servers in total up to now. I’m sure it’s just the odd player but it’s a shame that people ragequit to deny the attacker a bag, especially when it’s just 1 on 1..

Ranik- [LAE] and [KCDQ] want to have a word with a couple of your players who are abusing the invulnerability bug at Greenvale. They were reported but really, you lot are better than that.

And Gandarians- please stop mindlessly attacking when people are using that. You can’t hit them. We had 8 or 10 FR at the front of the camp, with our lot ignoring them to try to kill the invulnerable invaders. Annoying!

It’s less that Gandara’s activity in WvWvW is to be honest, pathetic, and more that we having been getting double teamed by the French for some time. There is really no denying the obviousness of their collusion.

It’s not unfair but it is pathetic and unsportsmanlike.

Thing is, though, that if that’s happening (I know they deny it but agree that, at times, it certainly feels like it is) then we need to find a way to hunker down and deal with it, instead of crying foul. We fight on, do our best and if we lose, we lose. At the end of the day we’re blue and not red this week, so if there really is an alliance then it’s not working as well as it probably should.

I avoid the forum like the plague normally (or like people avoid my plague when I’m chain blinding them…) but, having seen this thread:

I rolled on Gandara when I bought the game a couple of weeks after launch and I play most nights, from maybe 11 until 3 or 4am. I’ll quite often nip out to LA when our numbers dwindle and shout for more players to join us, but it’s generally met with silence or a couple of jokey remarks and little if any take up. I understand the call for players to join us from other, international servers- I really do- and I think it makes sense, especially since we’re the “other” unofficial UK server. That said, I think that we also need a bit of a rallying call made to our own players.

There seem to be quite a few WvW guilds on the go at the moment and, from an outside perspective, it’s not overly clear as to how they interact and communicate with each other- which is pretty much why I haven’t looked to join any of them, even though they have some great commanders and players in their numbers. We really do have some fantastic people on our server but I’ve no idea as to how to get them a bit more enthused and join us in WvW. It feels a bit like we’re missing a trick somewhere and it’s frustrating, as I think that we could be doing better than we are.

Regardless, I’m not going anywhere. Gandara’s a great server and I’ll stick with it no matter where we end up in the rankings.

I finally got the email from Christopher in support, with a new password- rather strange, since I’ve never had any issues with my password or login but I’m back in the game with nothing missing from my account.

An explanation and apology would have been nice but hey-ho, I’ll take what I can get at this point. Best of luck to all still waiting.

Well it’s evening here now, just gone 6, and there’s still no sign of any email from anybody at ANet. Except, of course, for the marketing one asking me to upgrade to the DD edition…

My ticket’s still sitting on “updated” and I’m still not overly convinced that anybody has even read it. Some communication please, folks, this is getting to be beyond a joke.

Heh, I must admit, shackleme, I’ve been wondering the same about a load of the “I got my account back” posts over the last few days- it does seem odd that so many people who have never posted in the forum choose to break silence and tell us that everything will be okay if we just keep waiting.. That said, I really do hope that the posts are genuine and that people are just really excited about finally getting back online.

I don’t like making new threads on an issue that I keep having to raise on the forum but I don’t know how else to try to get some attention now- when I posted in this thread earlier, stating that I hadn’t received any emails at all from a CSR, let alone the one that should have gone out after 48 hours, my post was ignored, whereas later ones were answered.

Please, Gaile, throw me a bone here? I’ve heard nothing at all from the CSRs since opening my ticket and it really does feel like, for some reason, it’s being ignored.

Yep that’s what it means in my case certainly- I’ve updated a few times now, still not even an automated response beyond the initial “Someone will be reviewing your ticket shortly” one, sent at the time of submission.

I think that the 502 just means that the servers are falling over due to the volume of people accessing them, not surprising since the digital keys just went back on sale.

Absolutely, Bina. Very few official replies in the forum and absolute silence from CSRs re: my ticket have left me thoroughly unimpressed- especially when players are seemingly losing their accounts and then having them reinstated pretty quickly. It feels like the ticket system is more of a lottery than operating a “first-come, first-served” basis.

I still haven’t heard a thing from any CSR about my ticket that was opened last Tuesday. I see other people posting in the forum, saying that they too have the “unauthorized access” message in their launcher, and they seem to be getting back in the game within 48 hours or even sooner. I would really appreciate an answer as to what’s going on with the communication, or lack thereof, here please.

I’m starting to see more and more people get this error fixed, but… I’m not sure if I should repost my ticket or not because all of the people that are being fixed just submitted their stuff last night… I’m assuming tickets don’t come in numerical order ’cause I have the same problem as the 20 other people that got their stuff fixed last night that posted on this forum lol

Yeah same here- I bit the bullet and opened a second ticket this morning, referencing my first, after reading more “I just got this fixed really quickly!” type posts. I’ve no idea if it’ll speed things up or slow them down but I’m beyond hacked off (see what I did there?) with there having been absolutely no response to my ticket from a CSR in almost a week. I know they’re busy but, at the moment, it feels like they’re either woefully understaffed or actually ignoring tickets. It’s really disappointing service from a company that delivered such an enjoyable game.

I must admit, I was starting to wonder the same myself although I’m only going on for five days banned now. I’ve seen a few people say that they made a second ticket that got a response; but similarly Gaile has said that we absolutely shouldn’t, as it clogs the system and can slow things down for us. Definitive communication is sadly lacking around here.

I’m in Scotland and BT occasionally connect me to locations down south, so I’d try to check to see where you’re connecting to before panicking. I’m actually okay with the authentication emails, although I possibly haven’t been able to log in for long enough for it to be that much of an issue..

There’s a part of me that wants to ask how you “don’t remember” making a racial slur- it feels like that’s sort of something that’s either part of your character or not.

That said it does feel that, given my own ban and others that are being raised on this forum, that something’s up with the GW2 banning policy. I hope that you can at least get an answer as to why you were banned. And that, if you did indeed spout stupid racial crap, they enforce the ban fully

Thanks for posting Gaile- I think that the community really appreciates updates from liasons such as yourself rather than just generic mod responses that shut down threads.

Here’s hoping you get these wrinkles ironed out quickly and those of use who have been banned with no reason can get back to enjoying an amazing MMO!

Yeah, whilst I understand that they’re presumably swamped, the lack of any meaningful communication makes it feel like they’re really not interested in individual cases. Mods locking down threads without providing helpful or meaningful input isn’t helping with that feeling. Oh well, best of luck folks, such a shame.

Yeah I can’t say that I’m interested in compensation either, given that the game hasn’t got a subscription fee. I’d just like my account reinstated, to be told exactly why the permanent ban was applied (and if I was hacked, as seems to be the case, why there’s absolutely no evidence of that in the logs..) and perhaps for ANet to look at how they communicate with their customers.

I love this game. From what I’ve seen so far, it actually does live up to the hype and, based upon its content, I’d happily push it on my friends and family. The standard of customer service, however, is pretty atrocious compared to FunCom or, dare I say it, Blizzard (sorry..) A kick and permanent ban message, out of the blue, with absolutely no explanation is just poor form. I really do hope that they sort it out for everybody involved because it’s a great game but, for the moment, I feel like I’ve wasted fifty quid.

So which is faster in fixing a banned account....?

Yep, that’s exactly the same as my message- GaileGray suggested that I’d actually been hacked- and that the was account shut down to be on the safe side- but there’s no evidence of unauthorised logins, so I’m not sure about that one. The lack of explanation/communication is really frustrating.

Best of luck Nightingale, it seems that this is pretty common- people are being permabanned with no explanation other than “you may have been hacked”. It’s really not on and I’m incredibly disappointed with the way in which this is being dealt with (or not).
