The problem with Squad chat is that a lot of people follow the commanders and forget to right click and even if they do commanders rarely use it because so few people use it.

Suggestion:
1. Make a chat color code so when a person is in World Versus World with a commander icon on, their chat is either a deep blue (different from party) or an orange color or (insert color) making it easier for “militia” to follow them, the commander.

Wow, apparently he only made it to level 15. Hoepfully he get’s banned for the anatomy reference.
A lot of the points he made are valid though. karma, champ trains, too many currencies. No point to dailies ( after you get enough to gear your chars with amulets aka 1 month = 2 chars).
What are the major changes to PvE, WvW and general balance?
P.S. I left right after the Shadow of the Mad King patch.
Answer: The changes that occurred are of no relevance to you. They were temporary (very pathetic game design).

Recently we spent some time discussing the concept of collaborative development with some of our community. The thread can be found here:

We talked about rolling out a new process in which over a set time period we can discuss design philosophies behind the main components of Guild Wars 2.
The first part of the plan is for you all to list the top three sections of this area of the game that you would like to discuss:
For example for PVE your list might be:
1: Living World
2: Roleplaying
3: Ascended itemsAfter a couple of days we will choose the number 1 topic in each area and then create the threads within the specific areas for us all to discuss, brainstorm and share our opinions on.

Living world already is addressed and is a disaster. Kill the project already.
1. End game (more dungeons, raids added PERMAMENTLY)
2. Guilds (guild halls, last logged in, gvg) WHY do we have to keep asking?!
3. Expansions, like Cantha, Elona, CD explored I have portals in zone that lead to somewhere but the bridge to that portal is destroyed. Release this content already..
1. Expansions (these are Cantha, Elona, Blood legin homeland, crystal desert map areas)
2. more Classes and more weapon set for Classes. (postal warriors anyone?)
3. Less Living story grind or actually be a LIVING world.
4. Guild diversity ( Guildhall, activity roster)
5. Well thought out ideas and not rushed content with no feedback which could lead to future disasters. Ie. Currencies (way too many, introduced into game later, and founder said trying to dwindle them down. This was a foreseeable problem that you Anet rushed into without thinking.)
Just because you cannot or refuse to play a dps character does not mean that others who do enjoy or have the skills required to play said gear should suffer. Shame on you.

Wow…. this guy has done a lot of my favorite art pieces, the guardian image with his head on the shield, AC ghosts (in the AC dungeon too, really very cool). I’m amazed.
P.S. Cloud, Sunrise and Twilight are the most popular legendary skins and there is a reason for that. Combing both into Eternity was a good idea.

You need to get them out of your head…. and your wallet. Anet already said they are very profitable… don’t make them richer and you poorer. And by them I mean NCsoft.
Every time I want to sell a large number of items in a row, I get the message “error attempting to sell” on about the 7th or 8th transaction. Then it persists every 2 transactions or so. It also seems to repeat the most times on the more expensive items. Eventually the error goes away on all items after repeated attempts.
Diminishing returns? Gated auction content?

Please note that while we try to have raids every day, patch days and thursdays are non-mandatory.

I have played GW2 since Beta. I have completely enjoyed the game up until they started messing around with WvW. I play this game specifically for WvW, the rest of the content is just fluff that I really don’t do. (4.5 level 80 toons, one ranked over 400 with over 54K kills in WvW), so I do (did) enjoy the game. While I realize a lot of people do enjoy it (pve) a lot of die hard WvW players don’t.
First, ArenaNet needs to realize that NO one enjoys being dominated completely by an opposing team let alone by 2 opposing teams. That being said I find it completely crazy that you can not find a way to balance the game either through MAP limits on population for all teams involved, or by controlling what servers play against each other.
Second, Being beat down and facerolled once in a while is actually good, it makes you wonder what you did wrong as a server/team/guild and kitten what can we do differently to change that result. But………..being beat down and face rolled week after week after week will and continue to destroy the game.
Third, As has happened to other MMO games I and others have played and left, being consistently beaten down in a game will indeed cause you to lose players. Its human nature, if you constantly lose, you either quit, or go somewhere where you have numbers, IE: Server transfers. This will (and already has) cause the game to be so far unbalanced for end game content (in regards to WvW) you are most likely going to end up with 4 to 6 Mega servers which will really make the game that much more unstable and unplayable for all players. This is already happening as I know more than one server bought and paid for complete (or selective players of guilds) server transfers, thus leaving the server they left severely depleted and thus DEMORALIZED to the point they are leaving the game. The week before Sept 20th reset my server (its not AR) lost 4 to 6 guilds, they all went to more heavily populated servers either of their own choice or through “Paid” server transfers. Fair? Is this what the developers want and expect to have happen to their game?
Not only does it leave the server undermanned, your first time pve’r that comes to try WvW is totally dominated and crushed they go WTF is this and leave to never come back to WvW. Their main comment is "This is what you guys call fun, or more than likely they turn into “chat trolls” and tell us we all are horrible players for losing so bad. Well that’s just wonderful for server moral. Telling them, but the other team has 75 players and we have 15 to 20 really does no good.
Is this what ArenaNet wants? If so please say so NOW so I can find a game where the developers don’t ruin game play.
Please remember, we paid for a game and thus had a hand in its growth and we should have a say to protect what we originally paid for. As it stands in my opinion (and in others that have LEFT the game) The developers are basically ruining a game by making changes that the game simply can not handle in terms of fairness to all and not just to benefit a “few” mega servers.
Constructive criticism is always welcome and it would be great if anyone working for ArenaNet would respond as all the recent changes are driving players from the game.
More importantly it seems ArenaNet is just not listening. Are you and more importantly do you care?

I have different conversations with friends.
What’s new in the game. The living story. This week we’re fighting T’quatl. It’s a pretty epic dragon battle. Next week, there’s a new dungeon path coming into the game.
It’s not about what’s gone, it’s about what’s coming. You’re always two weeks away from something new…and you never know what it’s going to be.
To me that’s a selling point.
Fair enough point, that for you it sells the game. There are quite a few people who don’t see it this way. I don’t know the numbers nor do you, but it is fair to say that there are going to be people who dislike temporary content. I happen to be one of those players and obviously I am not alone in feeling that way as some of these recounting’s can attest to.
I guarantee you that if players weren’t logging in in increasingly larger numbers, Anet would not have added three teams to the living story team.
They didn’t look at the numbers, say this isn’t working and ramp it up.
Actually, you’re probably wrong. They added the teams after Flame and Frost (you know the “expansion’s worth of content” that was month 1. go find dead bodies. Month 2. Give the momentos back to the families Month3. Don’t know, didn’t do it. Month 4. Awesome dungeon you will never see again, so come burn out.
Living story was not working until they ramped it up and to be truthful it still is not working correctly. No one wants temporary content, nothing of value is added to the game.
The decision was made to replace Twilight Arbor forward/up with the new, level 80 dungeon. I personally strongly disagree with this decision, but I’ve read and recognize the reasons Anet gave. However, there is one part of this that is very frustrating – we are being told less then 24 hours before the patch.
The 24 hour notice is 24 hours more than we got before the karma booster changed. Let it never be said I’m not an optimist.

yes, and a lot of people paid money for those karma boosters, but Anet doesn’t give a kitten how they abuse your trust.
I should say, this is my take on it.
- I’m personally more for ANet to tweak their mechanics and make it better rather than wasting time on temporary content that for the last half year hasn’t intrigued me, or they could cut the short stories and put more time and effort into these story arcs and how they’re presented within the game actually making them worth playing.I feel that a lot of resource have gone into making zerg like content and festivals.
- Tequatl is a nice addition, revamping dungeons is also a progression towards improving the actual game.- But what is the opinion of the players?

I enjoyed world of warcraft but not paying for it.
I enjoy gw2…. but there are some aspects I do not like:
1. Anet is sketchy and their refund policies are bs.
2. End game? does not exist. They are working on raids but lol let’s be serious…. this game will take forever. 13 months ago they said they would release guild halls and we are STILL waiting for them to do that.
3. There is a gear treadmill regardless of what they say, and the gear treadmill is for everyone (even the people who completely suck… which is fine but all the content is categorized for bad players leaving the skilled saying “wtf”.
4. The hardest thing in-game right now has no reason to be played: fractals above 28.
5. A lot of players are missing in maps.
6. People transfer for wvw reasons leaving some maps deadbut over 1 hour wait on tier1
In GW2, you can literally spam #1 for loot. True story.

Deja vu… I think I’ve read these same suggestions 50 times since Beta weekends without a single change in 13 months. I thought if different posters suggested the same things over and over it might garnish some attention.
I’ve simply come to realize that player input means pretty much zip in the grand scheme of things.
Devon Carter (wvw dev) already stated that Anet doesn’t give a f*** about their player responses, only numbers of people quitting various activities (dungeons, wvw, pvp etc). They don’t consider it broken until it’s been abandoned.
Ignore these peons, Incandescence! I love this idea. Although It would forever be out of my grasp as even a legendary seems daunting. A few more ideas:
1. The super legendary would allow you to behead players in WvW and carry their heads around, dangling off the hilt of the weapon.
2. The super legendary would drain karma from defeated foes in WvW.
3. The super legendary would drop precursors for allies when you are downed.
4. The super legendary would gradually become sentient and start posting on the forums and speaking for you in guild chat.
5. The super legendary would cause all ambient animals on the map to start following you in awe.
And we shall call him…..Mythical.

While scamming is wrong, wasting Arena.net’s time is also wrong.
They let you trade securely on TP, but they also let you mail things to people you trust at your own risk.
They have better things to do than dealing with 2.000.000 people that might suddenly decide to stop using the automated TP to save a few coppers.
This is the issue. Make player to player trading.
now that you have dungeon rewards per account based, there is absolutely no logical reason to force players in repeating boring, unfulfilling and unrewarding content to unlock fun dungeons.

The last 3 living world patch,s have been nothing but frustrating , i would have sooner The devs made the existing content much better . Also a totally new Zone with permanent content like crystal desert or cantha i think would have been so much better. I think . Im sorry and this is just my personal opinion and im sure some people like the living world content but i find it really shallow …

This post lacked a TLDR so I will provide it for you;
Delete all living story content and actually come up with permanent content that is fun/ challenging.
No, living story is a waste of my time and theirs. If they stopped doing living story content though, they would be admitting they do not know what they are doing. So they will still continue and fail to give us content that actually has merit.
I’d just like to make a note of one thing that I think people aren’t considering when they transfer to stacked worlds. You will not, repeat will not, be able to receive the reward based on overall world place in the league, unless you achieve the meta achievement for the season. If you aren’t able to get into WvW much, you won’t get the rewards. So it is absolutely taking a risk to transfer to a world that has a large WvW population.
So, how about ending paid server transfers and allowing us to transfer for free again? Get people off of these high tier servers. Once every three months seems fair. It won’t mess with WvW numbers a whole lot like it did when it could happen weekly.
With the league nearly here and everyone is foolishly stacking up at t1 servers, Anet surely got themselves quite a lot of money. Will it end here? Nope. When t1 players realize that they will only meet their “real” opponent just one time through out the whole league while having blow out match up for the rest of the league, surely a lot of them will transfer to lower tier once they got tired of PvD, especially Oceanic/SEA players. Which also means kaching to Anet.
