We can’t even raise awareness about Anet ignoring our section of the community because anytime we post in a section that actually gets traffic our threads either get outright deleted or get moved here.

They treat us like we got the game for free or something…like we didn’t pay the same $60 everybody else did.
I think i speak for everyone who bought this game for mac when i say I thought it would be out of beta by now.

I’ve gotten infracted about 5 times just trying to bring awareness to this issue I didn’t curse or insult anyone or anything…(i wouldn’t believe someone that said this either)

It amazes me how little they care about this issue.

Give us an update on the client.

Regarding his move from leather to plate, it’s the same thing Kieran did (I believe Kieran’s swap was intended to honour Logan’s position as guardian, I do think it’s strange they repeated it in Edge of Destiny).

Logan is too defined by Destiny’s Edge and Queen Jennah. They keep writing him like he’s terrible at his job and he’s annoying and weak when he’s around the Queen. Solution? Give him his autonomy back. Send him to Ebonhawke. Increasing hostility with the rebels and instability in Ebonhawke threatens the peace between humans and charr. Logan goes to deal with it, gets in touch with his ancestry and his legacy and decides to quit the Seraph, ditch the Queen and join “his” people.

Logan’s ancestry is very prominent. Two Ascalonian heroes who founded Ebonhawke. Ebonhawke and it’s relevant figures are someone under-represented in the story given how prominent this part of the world is to GW1 players (and it also plays into the charr story). I’d like to see a story where Logan leaves Kryta, leaves the Seraph and leaves the Queen. He takes on the mantle of the leader of Ebonhawke in honour of his lineage.

Use the Living Story to remove him from Kryta, kill the inane love story. Set up Samuelsson as Jennah’s political match (Krytan and Ascalonian royal lines merged, although I heard it’s happened before) and set Logan up in Ebonhawke as a soldier/leader. Ebonhawke would believably rally under the ancestor of Kieran and Gwen. Have him work on the treaty with the charr – something I’d like to see the Living Story deal with anyway and as a Krytan Jennah isn’t as credible when it comes to Ebonhawke (spend some time there, the conflict is very personal). This allows him to repair his relationship with Rytlock at the same time. Once that’s done, the story is set up to move into the Crystal Desert expansion and Logan’s true redemption, Kralkatorrik. Fighting behind enemy lines is what the Ebon Vanguard are known for, under Logan’s leadership there could be some nice parallels with GW1 in the Crystal Desert.

The biggest problem with Logan is his relationship with Jennah. She undermines him as a character, his decisions are about her, his actions betray other priorities for her (at her bequest, she called for his help) and keeping him around her in Kryta is stopping him from growing as a character. Give Jennah the political pairing she wants and give Logan the freedom to be a hero of Tyria befitting of his legacy.

If only the devs paid attention to posts like this….

It’s sad but at this point I honestly doubt that the living story will ever focus on plots like this, it’s like they don’t realize the potential the living story has if done correctly.

imo t1 looks terrible.

The only good heavy armor on charr is t3…it’s kind of annoying to see every other charr in the same armor though

This is getting old…. I bought this game a year and some months ago and it’s basically in the same state now that it was when i got it.

I realized the client was in beta when i bought it but i didn’t expect it to be in beta a year later…I paid the same price pc players paid, why can’t i get the same service? I actually like the game but these bugs are annoying enough at this point to discourage me from logging in.

It’s nice to see a community of players get together and try to work on fixes for issues but it isn’t our job and it’s really aggravating to see how apathetic Anet is about a product that i spent my money on.

This apathy toward the client i play on and the armor for the race i play with (charr) has drained my enthusiasm for the game recently…

Anet literally doesn’t care in the least bit about the mac client and seems to want to pretend like it doesn’t even exist, i’d be reluctant to spend anymore money unless i know 100% that it’s optimized

the mac client is treated like charr armor

Please dedicate 1 or 2 people to specifically fixing the problems with charr armor and use those same people to customize each future set of armor to fit the charr

I don’t understand why it would be difficult to dedicate a guy to making sure charr don’t just get stretched armor.
A Female human and a male human can wear the same set of armor and look different because the armor is made to look different depending on what gender the player chooses….why doesn’t the same thing apply to charr?????? I’m seriously baffled by this

I’m tired of wearing t3 heavy….every other charr in the game is wearing the same thing because there aren’t any other options.

lol the mac client is still in beta with extremely annoying issues a year and some change after i purchased the game,
The mac forums are all but abandoned by the devs and on the extremely rare chance that they do visit the repeat the same exact things they’ve been saying for over a year.
And the race i choose as a main gets about as much attention as the mac forums do.

i swear i drew the short end of the stick with this game lol…

The living story has so much potential…..it’s sad to know that it won’t be realized anytime soon because of scarlett.

I ran a dungeon with a guy that had 5 legendaries…he said precursors just dropped for him in wvwvw
several other people with multiple legendaries had similar stories

Arah difficulty is wayyyy overhyped, I’m sure it was tough around launch but since then it’s pretty easy…..gw2 players are just extremely dramatic

The only problem I have with the living world is Scarlet, I don’t at all mind the pacing of the releases it’s really fun for me to speculate about whats going to happen next.

Scarlett is aggravating though, especially considering that there is so much more lore that could be expanded upon. I feel that in order for the living story to work it needs to build on top of things that are already established.

Everything about Scarlett feels like filler in Naruto or the flashbacks from Dexter when they need to give the audience a reason to sympathize with something thats going to happen immediately after the flashback ends.

I wouldn’t be buying any of Anet’s future products after this game. Sorry, the truth may hurt some of you, but I would rather play “Hello Kitty Online” for half an hour than play Guild Wars 2 for 5 more minutes. It just has way too many things wrong with it.

The thing that bothers me the most about Scarlet is that it seems like she’s taking the place of other, more interesting lore.

In my opinion the living story is a great concept that would be 100 times better if they built upon lore thats already established as opposed to focusing in on Scarlet.

The whole Heath Ledger joker thing is getting really annoying in media as whole tbh.

I’d like either a ward or a block (preferably a ward) on the number 5 shield skill, people who get knocked down by it literally get right back up and run into the bubble and hit you while you’re holding your shield up….it doesn’t make sense

If they made kodan or largos playable instead of tengu i would cry.
the kodan are extemely similar to the norn with their body type and the largos are just like human or sylvari with wings.

I don’t get the hate for the running animation….Charr running looks 100x cooler than any other race running

I’d like to see the shield knockback switched to #4 and have the #5 skill cast a ward so people cant just run inside the bubble

Largos are essentially humans or sylvari with wings and Kodan are Norn with polar bear faces. Im interested in them from a lore standpoint but other than that I don’t really want just another human variation

Grinding sucks, I get that part. Now, all this frustration is because people are so eager and want to obtain the ascended gear as early as possible. We have been doing just fine with exotics and thus there’s no reason why we couldn’t fight anymore with exotics gear just because there’s ascended weapons out there.

We don’t want ascended nor power creep, we want easy max stats gear so we can explore the game thrhough our skill instead through grinded/farmed stats.

Some of us have played several hundred of hours at this game, have done every dungeon, have beaten almost every hard content… and we are punished with grind and power creep.

How can I enjoy WvW if there’s a zerg train looting champions that will kill me easily in two weeks because they are more powerful than me? Where are skills rewarded, when an unskilled farmer can beat you because of his gear? Is it fair?

The answer: not for me, at least. That’s the reason I’ll quit this game (again, as I did at November although finally returned in January with laurels. But not this time) when I finishes all SAB challenges.

So you put several hundred hours into the game, beat every dungeon and most of the hard content……you sound skilled, so skilled in fact that you should be able to get ascended gear just like all the characters in the zerg train that you’re worried about.

please do quit the game.

Guardian shield skill #5 should block melee attacks or at the very least create a ward around the player.

you knock players back and they get right back up and hit you while you’re in shield stance…i know the game isn’t meant to be realistic im just saying

It’s a guardian…it doesn’t make sense for a guardian to not be able to block with his shield

As to the point of this specific release, there are a ton of permanent features and content. From the update of mini-games becoming permanent on a rotation, champion loot, solo queue PvP and leaderboards, dungeon reward changes, currency wallet, PvP leaver penalties (dishonorable), the FX culling system and more! However, we do recognize one of the components is returning content rather than constant, we need one more core event in our portfolio to fill out our ability to pull off the ambitious plans we have for next year. Most of these are necessary changes that shouldn’t have taken a year to implement, like improved champion loot (whose idea was it anyway, to have powerful monsters drop the same as any other lame mob?), improved culling system, leaver penalties and an actual decent reward for doing dungeons…

Your rant probably wouldn’t change anything because either you have useless ideas or they’re already ideas expressed by everyone that anet is likely already working on.

I never saw Anet say that dueling would come out sometimes after launch. And every thread about it is filled with opposition to it.

you should also mention that all the opposition to dueling is baseless and usually confined to “i dont want to see people dueling” or “i don’t want to be spammed with duel requests” when we’ve already recommended a filter for duel requests

MMOs in general have been bad recently. I had a lot of expectations (too high expectations) for this game and in fact it turns out to be one of the worst I’ve played. There is a tendency to rush things out half-finished, what does come out is either a bad imitation of wow and previous games, or something awful and shallow, or something which could be cool but didn’t factor in game engine/system and latency requirements. Then after it comes out development grinds to a halt and nothing gets improved or fixed. At least with other games it’s generally a finished product.
