Personally I blame the Bets Testers who thought this was a great idea.
Do any other class have part of their basic game mechanics behind 2hr + events (which can fail depending on time you are on) and be limited as well?
I don’t blame Anet for placing 2 pets behind chain events, I blame all the Beta Testers who thought this was a great idea to gate ranger pets, considering none of the other are (not counting ‘special’ pets ie monument of fame ones).
Keep in mind the fact that you’re in the middle of fighting VW when your runes have built up so much that you cant do anything with them. You can’t go merch them because … well… you’re in the middle of VW…. This is the kind of thing I’m talking about. It’s very common, as silverwastes farmers will know.
Not to be argumentative, just observing, but what are you doing that you end up with a full inventory while in the middle of VW? In my experience with SW stuff it’s quite difficult to actually fill one’s inventory before VW is complete. That is unless you’re actually opening and salvaging every loot bag as you get them, which seems a bit silly given that you get a good 15 min after VW to deal with inventory and vendor at Camp Resolve.
On topic however, I’m not sure what more can be done about runes while *you’re in the field. You could make the salvageable I suppose, I’m not sure what effect that would have on the economy of shards/rune mats (assuming they would salvage into dust/the materials used to craft runes).
On the flip side I would personally love to see rune upgrading recipes int he mystic forge, similar to those for materials, take like a half a dozen or so minor runes of one type + some random mystic forge mats and upgrade to a major of the same type, and likewise for major to superior.
Something like 95% chance dust, 5% chance shard. If that was possible I’d salvage most of them personally.
The only real other option is to have them go straight into the ‘craft’ section on the bank when you deposit all mats.
I tend to wear the Explorer or Exemplar outfit just to hide the hidious light and medium male armours. At least they look like men then and not butch females.
Gravity in Tyria is not universal but only comes into play when you are trying to make that last delicate jump to complete an annoying JP or Vista so it doesn’t effect Tequatl abilty to fly.
I usually get that invitation just as I get bloodlust to 25 stacks. Also I have moved only to be asked again within 1 minute! Now I stay because changing is pointless and I’d rather keep my stacks.
Suggestion: Move the access point for the Human Personal Story entrance for the part called ‘liberation’ away from where the Spider Queen spawns in Earthlords Gap to a safer location, as it’s not fun to come out either dead/entombed in web sac/surrounded by exploding pollen plants especially at or near the level required to do the story.
While you could make weapons and armor for every character, you might consider the flexibility of them being account bound and start with the items you can use on your favorite characters. It’s mildly inconvenient to move the gear around but as long as you’re not doing it every hour or so, it’s not bad.
main is a ranger with shortbow/GS
2nd necro with daggers/staff
3rd warr with hammer/rifle
None can share armours or weapons so that means 3 full sets of armour and at least 6 weapons, possibley 10 as ranger also uses axe/torch/warhorn and longbow depending on stituation.
However for me personally I will not be making any more acsended, as it took best part of 2 weeks just to make my rangers top,
I only just got this game a few days ago and have managed to get to lvl 35.
My guy was going well and in most things I was having fun. But now he’s only got one trait point (not 25) and I feel like I took a giant step back.
I really liked the speed increase trait I had but I don’t think I can get it again until lvl 50? Did characters who are under 80 just get mega nerfed?
I agree with the whole ‘giant step back’, level 35 1 trait point and I feel as if I’ve achieved nothing, especially when there was absolutely nothing wrong with the way it was and at least you felt like you were progressing
Event to clear Risen from Broken Spit is impossible to do as you cannot target the Rotmouths so you can’t complete the destroy 0/6 Replicators, leading to never getting rid of the Risen 0/20 either.
There is an increase in arrow speed? I must say I haven’t noticed it as mobs still die in about ther same time as before, also I still only get 6 bleeds with xfire and if it is 30% faster surely I should see 7-8 stacks?
Those toys are just tooo OP for the PvE world, I guess that A-net have been lazy and are using the same stats for inside Trixxxx dungeon which is likely to be group orientated, and haven’t been bothered to re-stat those outsidein teh PvE world where it’s most likely that it will be players soloing.
2 of those dolls will take out a Vet :/

Have 100% map completes (had completion chests) for all PvE maps and have just 4 poi/2 vista in WvW Eternal Battlegrounds to get. There are no lvl x – x grey/blurred out so where have i got to go?
There seems to be conflicting information regarding dungeons etc, some saying they count others saying they don’t, but to me 30 vistas seems to be rather a lot to be missing give most maps have 5-8 on them.
Agent Jarra and Crusader Feintclaw did not reset properly, neither would offer their respective services. Sadly I only needed Crusader Feintclaw as he does repairs >.<

At least 4/6 Superior Rune of the Pirate on gear? Instead of ‘Yarr!’ you shout ‘For Great Justice’
If I wanted to move about on out-of-place mounts that ruin the feel of a game I’d have stuck to playing Perfect World.
In over 1,000+ hrs of playing I have never felt the need for a mount and I have 100% on all maps but WvW (got about 3/4 there).
Why do players want to explore faster? so as to complete the game faster before they move on to the next mmo?
As to teleporting just think of it as a taxi service with the ride animation removed.
Personally, I’d sooner see ‘contested’ permanently removed from WP’s than see mounts appear.
1. Total lack of ‘kill steal’ = so nice not to to hear “xxxx KS’d me whine whine whine” in chat.
2. The landscape and feel of the areas.
3. The crafting system and instantly be able to store crafting mats on the fly (well most of them)
4. Anybody can revive fallen Allies no asking if a cleric is about.
5. Any race can be male or female and any class, no Norn male Warriors only sort of thing. PW Veno/Barb springs to mind.

Over 1,000 hrs and I never seen a key drop from a mob, only the odd one from map completion, personal story and from a chest itself. I don’t even bother to keep them just chuck them over board as soon as I get one now.
Was Orr the result of the Devs giving up on making maps for each race after the Norn one? The mobs are so unimaginitive servant, noble, farmer, plaguebearer etc but wheres the Risen Centaurs, Wolves, Ettin or (passive) Risen Moas and Sheep or any of the other mobs I have fought on my way to Orr?
I used to see quite a few players running (usually for their life) in orr till fractals then Orr became a ‘real’ ghost town.
Personally I would remove all contested WP’s and put in more events, no point in having events there unless you can travel there in the first place.
I used to contest WP’s in Malchor’s Leap but found it to be a pointless exercise as as soon as you went anywhere the WP you contested was re-contested and I couldn’t be bothered to fight my way back to contest it again.
The main reason I’ve stopped going to orr is that it is just Risen, Risen and more Risen, might as well play Resident Evil on console……..
At 2000 gems the Digiatal Upgrade isn’t all that cheap so will Anet refund any players who have already bought the Digital version? Answer No.
Having upgraded to it myself Asyraea is right in saying people won’t feel any better, in fact I’m even more peeved that it is now being given away free even if it is for only a limited time as I could have made far better use of those 2000 gems.

They do not need to patch our clients to adjust some minor changes in the game.
The changes goes live transparently in real time. Guild Wars engine let them do that this way.
There should be at least one Data file (containing such info pertaining to mobs/drops/stats etc) both client and server-side that should match, if they do not match you would not able to play at all as the client would fail to connect. due to mis-match.
I am on 16% of the monthly which is 16% more than I expected to get, I have little to no interest in WvW atm, hate dungeons, haven’t even been to ‘new area’, if they gave me a year I still would probabley be on 16% and it’s fine by me.
Mind you, even if they made one of next monthsachievements to kill xxx Risen in Orr I still wouldn’t be all that inclinded to go there, well, not till the risen mobs are taken off steroids xD
I guess onyx/etcos etc are ‘Unique’ crafting mats where-as the rest of the mats, blood/claws etc are ‘common’. A new slot in the ‘crafting’ bank for these would be good.
Runes and boosts aren’t really ‘crafting’ but more ‘upgrades’ so should be kept in the main bank.
As a 1h sword ranger I’d love to be able to wear Heavy Armour as I take just as much a beating from mobs as any class that can wear it so would welcome the extra defence. Especially as any mobs that is Risen (hence not going to orr much), Troll, Bear + a few others will ignore pet and go for me.
Any race can be any class so why not allow them to wear any armour?
As is, Rare Heavy has more def than Exotic Medium.
Main reason for not using SaR has to be the big drop in damage a ranger deals whilst pet runs off to do SaR and that it could agro more mobs in doing so or drag mobs you were fighting to the downed player and get them killed completely.
I have lost about 600 points as well and so have others I know, seems to be a universal kitten-up on their behalf, but then again something always seems to go wrong after a patch, so will we begetting another new patch in a few hours to fix it?
Besides point 2 with is cosmetic I don’t use any of the the other 13 listed (rarely fight in water) so my ranger is still as broken as before the patch with dumb pets, obstructed left,right and centre and everything else rangers suffer with, I’m just surprised they just didn’t take bows away from rangers and be done with it tbh.
Please reduce Jormags ‘screech’ to a smaller area it can be heard, say within the orange circle denoting his Event as after 2 hrs of hearing him it got really annoying, but he can go on for 9 hrs+.
In the early hours of the morning no-one wants to kill him as the chest gives rubbish just farm the incoming mobs so he just stays there screeching away for what seems forever.
They could up the karma/coin for the wp’s as there are still alot of other DE going on and they could always add more if needs be or how about they reduce the time on non- wp events to make up.

If event freak/farmers thought contested wps were really worth doing for the karma/coin even at the current 1/2 hr interval then why are there not more players doing them? And I rarely see the 2 other DE’s near where I am ever done so I guess those are not worth doing either.
Only time some Wp’s might get re-claimed is as some-one passes through on their way to a Vista, SP or POI but generally no-one hangs around to reclaim the wps, they just grab them and go for 100% map completion.
In all the same conested wp could be taken roughly 46-48 in one day but in reality it’s closer to 16 (if as high as that).
After single-handedly freeing a contested wp it was ‘contested’ 1/2 hour later.
Now seeing how ‘time flies by’ whilst playing any game let alone this one, it felt like only 5 mins had pased by and in reality there are not enough players who bother with them so as a result 99% of contestable wp’s in Melachor’s leap (this probabely goes for all the other 70+ maps) are always contested and it really seem pointless to do anything about them as you know if just isn’t worth the time or effort to free them, as by the time you go to do something else it’s ‘oh look it’s contested again -.-’.
Please extend the time beween them getting re-contested to a more sensible time, I would suggest at least 2 hrs (and even that time will fly by) at least as this would give players time to do other stuff and it might actually be worth taking them back if you knew you would at least be able to use them for a bit.
I guess as right click targeting isn’t “broken” so Anet won’tdo anything about it, even tho it’s just “annoying” to all those who use the right button to control camera and having targetting and camera control on the same mouse button should never have been in the original game code to start with.
Although camera is right and hold whilst targetting is right and click, if your mouse button is a bit sensitive (wearing out due to excess clicks etc) it sometimes registers as a ‘click’ instead of ‘hold’.
I don’t mind paying for the teleporting but as 90% (or it seems that way in the higher lvl maps) of wp’s are always contested so you can’t use them anyway.
For example, 6/6 of the wp’s I had in straights of devestestion southern area were contested so I gave up on that map.
Rare?? As my Grandmother used to say “rare as rocking horse ****” in fact I think that would be more common as I have yet to even see 1 Vanilla bean.
I have never run by a node wether it be mine/tree/herb without gathering it, none from the tons of bags I’ve opened so what is the real chance to get a Vanilla Bean 0.00000000000000000000000000001%?
This I can support whole heartedly! The ammount of times I’ve dragged other mobs into battle unwanted just because I wanted a better camera angle on my ranged ranger I have lost count of. Worst one was a champion troll in Bloodtide coast (think that was the map name) had him and his 3 cronies suddenly run at me.
