To anyone that still can’t find even after completely obliterating everything, trees, benches, houses.
See attachment. It’s an INVISIBLE house near one of the norn structures, in the middle of a line with 3 “pits of dirt and bones”.
Edit: I entered the place again to make sure it was invisible and it was. At first, there’s 1 tree there. If you destroy it and throw an AoE again, 2 other damage numbers will appear.

In my own judgement, I find Winter Wonderland to be of medium difficulty. Nothing overly hard but also not too easy. And this is the way it should be a seasonal event puzzle.
It’s a darn seasonal event, for the six’s sake. And it’s meant to be fun for every player. Seriously, it looks like the people who complain about it being too easy seem to whine more than the ones who find it too hard.Have you ever considered that it might not be fun for the ones that think it’s too easy?
Wouldn’t that completely eliminate any sort of argument you might have, considering you just said it has to be fun for every player?
Really, does something have to be very hard for people to enjoy it? Can’t we just be happy with the simpler things once in a while?
Dude, you are questioning taste. Some people will never like bananas, no matter how simpler it is to prepare than a gourmet dish.
If there’s no other way to make both sides happy then they really should make instances with selectable difficulty levels.
Why? Why do they have to please everybody? I don’t like sPvP, so I don’t play sPvP, so I will never get sPvP rewards. Check my former posts and see if there’s any of mine in the sPvP subforum asking Anet to hand the rewards to me.
Anet
will
NEVER
please
everybody.
Even if they implement difficulty levels, people will get kitten because they can’t get the achievements/rewards of the higher levels because it’s too hard for them. Or the people that can do these levels will get kitten because, even though they put a lot more effort and thought into it, they are rewarded the same as everyone in every difficulty.
I had the same feeling for Elementalists. I rolled one cause I’ve always loved casters, from day one. But everybody tells me that for the most part, to be viable, I have to run D/D. But I don’t want to be a melee character as an Ele! ><
Then why don’t you actually try other setups? Just keep in mind that each weapon will fulfill a different role, and you are set.
“So why do you insist on making it so those of us who enjoy a challenge can’t have even one single thing that caters to our wants?” dreztina
I personally don’t mind if there’s a challenging jump puzzle for all the people who like them. But I’d like to see more variety in the types of puzzles being offered with a focus on different skill sets. Right now both the jump puzzle and the bell choir basically require very good dexterity and eye-hand coordination. On the other hand, some of us are very good at logic type problems: deciphering codes, logic problems, number puzzles, cryptic messages, etc. Those are the sort I find fun. I would be quite happy if people who like jump puzzles get there fun, while others can get something different.
The problem with logic-type problems is that they are easy to spoil. It’s hard to reward a player on these type of activities because it’s assumed that most of the playerbase will just look for the answer somewhere on the internet.
Would you be ok if it had no rewards at all?
Yeah you get higher drop rate in a group
What makes you think that?

Wintersday jumping was a huge improvement over Clocktower, but here’s my issues:
a) still put into groups of players where your character gets lost (better once they start failing, but still)
Actually, they improved on this. Now you start on one of 3 platforms. At most you are grouped up with other 4 players. Consider that the snowflake part is really forgiving time-wise, and there’s no problem at all.
Timed is a lame difficulty. If they want to make such a thing harder to satisfy certain people, the rewards can be scaled as appropriate. I hate this method because if I just want to reposition my camera, there’s no time, resulting in many falls.
If they removed the timed part and introduced some really difficult parts, it would be far more prone to glitch/be bugged. Instead they use a timer and give plenty of room for you to walk near the snowballs.
BTW, if you finish the puzzle and want to go again, the game makes you wait the full 2 minutes
Actually, nope. Finish the puzzle, run to the chest, run to the teleporter, go to the waiting area. If you are reasonably fast (doesn’t even have to be the top player), you can get in the waiting line with 5 to 10 seconds left on the timer.
I did this last night at least 20 times, most of which in succession.
Reflect (Magnetic Aura) no longer works on rangers attacks.
can you elaborate on this? Which attacks?
It’s super-duper frustrating when you try to cast the spell on your “2” button right as you get downed, and so waste your only escape-spell AND reduce your maximum health
Could you change the title to “Vapor Form”?
If you go mist form and reset glyph skill and use it, it doesnt work.. Try on storms. You use skill but the 2nd storm never happens.
I dont know what is the thing which is bug which should work in here lol…
When Glyph of Renewal was used, it goes into cool down. But when you enter Mist Form, the utility skill seems to reset its cool down, and be usable again for that 3 seconds you are in mist form, and it does work.
Did anyone else have this problem?
Would just like to point out that these bugs have not only been reported in a thread in the bug forums, but they are also in the pinned thread at the top of the page.
Basically, Glyph of Renewal got a separate cooldown (in and out of mist form), but when in form, it didn’t work according to the attunement you had on before entering it, because mist form was removing all attunements. So you got a revive out of that glyph, but none of the attunement attributes (air – teleport revived to your location. earth – revive several players and so on) worked.
Same deal for Glyph of Storms – didn’t work because it required an active attunement. It’s also in a separate cooldown while inside mist form.
Same for Glyph of Elementals (lesser and elite).
Same for Glyph of Elemental Power.
The change happened because they wanted to remove class influence out of transformation skills involved in activities. So, for example, you were transformed during the Halloween jumping puzzle, but you could still use your traits to get a passive speed increase, while other classes could not. If they had made this change before, all classes would be on equal footing.
The consequence to this is that transformation skills in PvE and PvP were also affected, including Mist Form, RtL and the stealth buff in the WvW jumping puzzle.
Similarly, trait stats were removed (which was fixed), as well as traits themselves, because they required either one or any of the attunements to be present – transformation skills removed them completely.
It’s good to know that
We made some changes to Mist Form because it wasn’t interacting well with Glyphs. Basically you are now in an actual attunement during Mist Form, and therefore can now swap attunements and also cast Glyphs.
Thanks to whomever the forum member was that pointed this out a little while ago.
12/14 on this change.
Jon
And I hope that they also fixed the cooldown issues associated with glyphs cast while in form;

You are labeling a huge load of former SWTOR players noobs going by your generalization.
I fail to see the issue here.
Thieves
Mesmers
D/D eles
The mesmer has to do the jumping puzzle.
And has to agree with opening portals.
Also, never mind the fact that people can bypass several traps in the JP with skills.
“Stats from traits seem to be fixed, though”
but weapon stats getting removed atm
That was the case before tonight’s patch. Not sure if it was like that before monday’s patch
Issues with Glyph of Storms, Glyph of Elementals (elite and lesser), Glyph of Elemental Power and Glyph of Renewal still remain.
Mist Form removes the attunement, and the first 2 skills simply don’t work while inside it. The third one works, but doesn’t take into account any attunement whatsoever.
The bug with -20% off of glyphs’ CD is still up as well. I believe it’s also related to the lack of attunements while in Mist Form.
Stats from traits seem to be fixed, though.
A detailed description of the bug can be found here
I’m posting it in a separate thread in this section because
1) it’s a reproducible bug
2) the bug itself is related to a known change – behavior of transformation skills
3) it’s kittening up my playstyle as a Staff Ele.
Edit: added Glyph of Elemental Power in the Elementalist bug page and here since I just tested it.
(edited by konosh.4721)
So it breaks Elemental but could also be abused to use the skill twice in a row.
You’ll notice that I said in my post that, while you can cast it again in Mist Form, there’s no effect: no animation, no damage.
Could it be abused with ‘When casting an elite’ runes?
No, because the issue with Glyph of Storms and Glyph of Renewal (where you get an off-CD skill while in mist form) is different from the Glyph of Elementals (where, if you cast it in mist form, no elemental appears).
@konosh, next time look at the video description, it gives a brief explanation as to what is happening, plus it is quite self explanatory.
That’s not the point. The description should be in the post so that the person who reads it doesn’t need to check the video. You could be just baiting for views. Describe what the video shows and, if people are really interested, they will check it.
It was working before hand, there have been multiple times I have summoned the water elemental while in mist form.
Yes, it was working before. This is broken since the last patch because of the change to transformation skills.
I also know what you mean with the glyphs, I was running glyph of storms (I think it is) and I noticed that when I went into mist form that it would be off C/D even though I used it 5 second prior, can you use them while in mist form? (I never got to test as usually I’m using ether in Mist form)
Yes, you can (could). I often used it to grab several enemies, like when attacking a supply camp in WvW. Aggro all NPC defenders, pop mist form, use glyph of storms while attuned to earth (perma blind for duration), use glyph of elementals while attuned to earth for sturdy tank, change to fire attunement and aoe them down while they attack the elemental. As you can see, this bug completely kills this setup for me.
So it breaks Elemental but could also be abused to use the skill twice in a row.
You’ll notice that I said in my post that, while you can cast it again in Mist Form, there’s no effect: no animation, no damage.
As a player who was affected by the “World bonus bug” I can assure you that there is no built-in chance to “mine again” in rich nodes. I played this game since 1 week after release and have never gotten the wvw bonus until the fix in yesterdays patch.
Without that bonus I could always mine a regular node exactly once and a rich node exactly three times – each and every time since I started playing.
How do you know you were affected by the bug? Did it show +0% when you moused over the WvW icon? Or are you assuming that, because one of the bonuses didn’t work (like +health), none did?
I’ve mined rich nodes before when I only got 1 chance. This before even the Halloween patches.
There was always 1 Rich Ori vein and 1 regular Ori vein in EB. Then, the patch after the halloween eliminated this – 2 regular ori veins instead.
As for the behavior, I believe rich veins work in 2 ways: they have a higher chance of being able to mine again (that stacks with other similar bonuses, like the WvW one) and give more stuff per mining.
You would have to test other veins to make sure it’s a bug.
Anet stop breaking us please. ._.
Next time, please include a description in the post.
The video shows that using Glyph of Elementals (elite) while in mist form will result in an instant “kill” of the elemental: the button will change to a countdown of 60 seconds (the lifetime of an elite elemental) and instantly change back to the 120 CD (regardless if you use the -20% CD for glyphs trait or not).
Edit: I think I understand why this is happening, that is, Mist Form ignoring the -20% off of the CD for glyphs trait. Mist Form is removing the attunement that you are currently on. All traits are tied to work with 1 attunement or all attunements – not “none” attunements, which is what the Mist Form is doing. So it removes any trait points and traits themselves.
[If you test it in Heart of the Mists, however, the Glyph of Elementals (elite) will follow the behavior of the Glyph of Lesser Elementals, below]
A similar thing happens with Glyph of Lesser Elementals. However. besides NOT SPAWNING the lesser elemental, it will enter a FULL cooldown (first 60 seconds of the lifetime of the elemental + 36 seconds [traited with -20% CD for glyphs] of CD without the elemental).
The behavior is the same in or out of the Heart of the Mists. The reason for the difference in the first case is because the elite shows a different behavior, but not quite, in and out of sPvP. In sPvP, as soon as you cast the skill, a 60-seconds time will start (the lifetime of the elemental). After this timer is over, the skill will enter its regular CD of 96 seconds (traited). In PvE, as soon as you cast the skill, the 96-seconds timer will start. However, it does not integrate the 60-seconds timer in it. So it will not go to 36 seconds, kill the elemental and then proceed to go down to 0 so you can use it again; it will go down to 36 seconds, kill the elemental and restart the CD all over again from the 96-seconds mark. This is obviously a bug related to breaking the skill in PvE and sPvP.
Plus, if you use Glyph of Storms and enter mist form, that glyph will be out of CD and can be used again only during mist form. However, despite the glyph being cast, there’s no effect – damage, no animation, nothing. As soon as the Mist Form is over, the CD of the glyph will revert back to when it was cast before using Mist Form.
In addition, casting Glyph of Storms while in Mist Form will NOT work, even if you DIDN’T use it just before entering Mist Form.
Glyph of Renewal as well – If you use it outside of Mist Form and, before the CD is up, use it while in Mist Form, 3 things will happen:
1- The activation time will be reduced from 4 and half seconds to 1 and a half seconds – this is shown in the tooltip.
2- The glyph will work as advertised, both times.
3- The cooldown will NOT be reset again if you use it while in the Mist Form. That is, if you use it before mist form, then during mist form, the cooldown when you get out of mist form will be the first one. In other words, you’ll get 2 CDs for the same skill: one for inside Mist Form (that will still be there the next time you enter Mist Form – it counts down just as the one outside of it) and the other for outside. They are independent and don’t go away.
Glyph of Renewal has another bug that may have been listed already: it will not revive your target, but the ally closest to you.
In addition, if you use the glyph while inside Mist Form, it treats you as having no attunement (Mist Form is REMOVING the attunement), so attunement bonuses won’t work. For example, it won’t teleport the revived ally to you while in Air Attunement. In Earth Attunement, it won’t revive 3 allies, just the one closest to you.
I’ve also tested Mist Form with all other Utility Skills and Healing Skills. However, I only tested the effect of having a separate cooldown inside the mist form (like casting Glyph of Storms out then in mist form), not if the other utility skills work while in Mist Form.
The only skills affected by that were the ones I listed.
Update 1:
Glyph of Elemental Power doesn’t work while inside Mist Form as well. It’s cast, but no effect appears on target. Combat log shows nothing.
By now, I’m fully convinced that every single issue listed here (besides the duplication of Glyph of Storms and Glyph of Renewal while inside Mist Form) is completely dependent on the fact that Mist Form, as of December 3rd’s patch, removes any attunement you may be set to. Thus, any skill that is tied to an attunement (like the glyphs) either work partially (like Glyph of Renewal) or just plain don’t work (like the other glyphs), using up the skill and entering a cooldown.
Update 2: The december 5th patch didn’t fix any of these issues. It did fix the trait stats bug, not listed here.

Refer to the thread pinned at the top of the page. This is a known bug.
It’s pretty. There’s no problem concerning readability.
Included a link to this thread in https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/elementalist/NEW-Elementalist-bugs-and-glitches-thread/page/7#post917627
Because I didn’t see this listed in the first page:

Iam constantly asking people to team with me when I’m levelin up in areas and doing hearts etc…. only like 1 in 10 people wants too… but why??
It is soo much faster and easier to level up when ur in team instead of going at it alone. Also much more fun imo. Why so many lone-players?
I have my own pace. Sometimes I’m doing something in-game, then I afk for 15 minutes for no reason at all, or I enjoy the scenery, or I explore around.
It’s really hard to find someone that is in the same page as you.
Why are you leaving all of your loot behind? You can press F while in combat.
Agree. WvW is a numbers game….tier 1&2 are “FULL” servers….as is TC in tier 3. The only viable independent strategy for the other servers in tier 3 is to recruit and get more and better coverage as well if the ultimate goal is a more competitive (score wise) match-up.
I agree the only way for those lower servers to compete is to get more people. But they what will end up happening is you will have say 5 totally super full servers and the rest become a wasteland.
I would really like to see Anets response on this issue, as far as I know they have not really said anything at this point in time. And personally I really doubt ‘guesting’ will really solve this problem.
As a note a lot of people have seen this coming and population issues have been discussed on these forums for months.
What does guesting have to do with it? It has nothing to do with WvW.
Now the fact that free transfers will end when guesting is up, does.
But part of the fun is looking around the battlefield for my bags. Even better when it’s near enemies.
I honestly don’t know why the name of the server matters.
Do you want a balanced match? These matches are balanced based on a rating system that determines performance based on the ratings of those you face. We are matched together because we are more balanced together. Those above/below us aren’t in our bracket because they’d be a breeze/impossible.
Not sure why the text matters. Go out and have fun fighting competitive fights.
Ratings =/= balance. DUCY?
In Glicko 2,
Ratings = balance
The losing servers do the same tactics again and again as well, even my own.
That’s why they are the losing servers. See the part where I said
making the matches more skillful till the servers involve(sic) go up/down in rank
If a server is not adapting, they will lose, and they will go down in rank to face opponents with similar strategies. If they want to go back up, they will have to adapt.
I think the issue you actually have is that it takes time for that to happen, because matches are 1 week long and, as I said in another post, it’s not about just your current matchup, but all the others above or below as well; their ratings will affect your matchup in the next week.
Edit: I’m not entirely sure on this, but a greater value of tau in
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/pvp/wuvwuv/The-math-behind-WvW-ratings
would probably lead to more match changes in less time.
(edited by konosh.4721)
The problem with that is you are playing against the same people for long periods of time. Which more likely then not means the same tactics at the same times of day by the same numbers. If I can log into WvW and basically write a script for how my night will proceed, this is a problem, and yes it is boring. We all like the changing up.
Actually, using the same tactics will not be the most likely scenario, specially because you are fighting them over long periods of time. The servers will come up with counter tactics that will gain them the edge. As time goes on, these counter-tactics will be countered, and so on, making the matches more skillful till the servers involve go up/down in rank, where they will meet opponents that are worthy of their advanced strategy.
While this is very very true, one variable that counters it to a degree for this grouping of 3 is that TC has vastly more people. Not saying they arent skilled by any means, but bigger numbers means you can get away with sloppier play and still come out ahead. There are really not that many options you have when outnumbered….and I think most are actively being used.
Then they will move up in rank soon. It’s not about just your current matchup, but about the others too.
http://mos.millenium.org/matchups#NA
As it stands, it will take a few weeks before TC goes up in rank. As it stands, next week that tier will have Crystal Desert in it, instead of YB.
…when they’re naked and guildless?
Can I have a psychologycal approach?
Why not? If it’s red it’s dead.

Fractals?
Seriously?
I didn’t do November’s monthly achievements because of the stupid fractals; I’d rather WvW than PvE
What makes you think I’m going to do December’s monthly achievements?
Gee, thanks.
Don’t do them, then.
Not only “Unique” is new to GW2, not all Unique items have the “one per character” characteristic. I was able to equip 2 http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Ancient_Karka_Shell_Box from 2 characters that did the ancient karka event.

New bug with:
Flame Axe: This weapon now grants the wielder power and condition damage.
Frost Bow: This weapon now grants the wielder increased condition duration and increased healing power.
Fiery Greatsword: This weapon now grants the wielder power and condition damage.
Magnetic Shield: This weapon now grants the wielder vitality and toughness.
Lightning Hammer: This weapon now grants the wielder increased precision and critical damage. You get the new buffs ONLY when the weapon is summoned. Picking up the weapon gives you nothing.
Quoting this because I didn’t see any other report on it. I can confirm the bug is there
Didn’t receive a single precursor, but the lost shores event was fun. Sucked for people that had culling issues and I guess for melee oriented players, but I had no problem. Only issue I had with the event was that the reinforcement phases were going for too long. A 15-25% decrease would’ve been fine, as I get it’s meant to be challenging.
Had a blast seeing the karka rolling on 15 people and they all getting downed.
For the rest of the game, only worried about ascended gear, hoping it doesn’t become WoW 2.0.
Don’t really have any other concerns. Happy about the fractals dungeons and its “gw1 mission” oriented design. Hope they continue to use that, graveyard running really detracts from the experience.
I play mainly an elementalist and I don’t really feel that my class is over or underpowered, although I would like some changes. Waiting for the rest of the bug fixes, specially the vapor form bug.
To OP: a scale works much better in these cases, specially because a majority will never be fully into one option and will be forced to choose that for the lack of better options.
That said, ranging from 0 to 10, 0 being “I quit the game, as I’m totally dissatisfied with it” and 10 being “I don’t see myself not playing the game, I’m totally satisfied with it”, I give it a 8.25.
Edit: also, your 3 options are all different. One concerns game content, [customer service] and “all it’s contents”. The second eliminates the third part. The third has no mention to any. There should be at least 3 separate polls, plus one more for “overall satisfaction”, all with scales.
If you really believe people can vote anonymously, do a googledocs poll and link it in a thread. But pass it through a few people first to check if the options are consistent.

Ok the ‘One-Time-Event’ seems to be going on even now 9 hours later and there is a thread on the official forums with now about 700 posts in it. Is this an exploit why has there not been a DEV reply to this yet at all, are they encouraging to do this??
I logged off in disgust after the disaster and disconnect wanting nothing more to do with Lost Shores and now I find the event is still going on, do I get punished twice? Once for not being able to play 3 hours after the event starts officially and now again for not reading forums and believing one-time actually means one-time?
Please I would like a DEV response somewhere on these official forums as to what this event really is!
Not an exploit. As long as there are overflow servers with the event on, and as long as you can get in, not an exploit.
However, there are certain ways to abuse the overflow system, and that would be an exploit.
Well the one BIG issue with it is the majority of players are already level 80 who needed better weapons.
Why in the world they thought it was a good idea to have anything but level 80 exotics for the drops from this massive boss fight is beyond me.
MF didn’t do a single thing for anyone wearing the entire set in my guild.
As usual they didn’t address the problems with these mechanics and make the rewards for events like these actually reward people properly.
Very disappointed in the rewards system for this event.
The boss fight was epic, it was fun, it was nice. But someone dropped the ball when it comes to the rewards for this BIG TIME. Level 80’s for a boss fight like this should drop nothing less then level 80 items especially with MF buffs on.
And Let me be clear, I do appreciate the bag (VERY MUCH NEEDED THANKS!) and the trinket those were nice. The issue i had was with the weapons.
“MF didn’t do a single thing for anyone wearing the entire set in my guild. "
MF doesn’t affect chest drops.
Don’t want vertical progression. Add ascended gear with the same stats as exotic, keep legendary the same as exotics, and include an infusion slot in the first, if you must.
Or just do a one-time thing per character where you must infuse your armor, like in GW1, no need to exchange armor at all (or n-times, n being the number of pieces of armor to infuse).
Again: don’t want vertical progression. I know you will go forward with this in this patch, but please keep it in mind for the next ones.
What I dont understand is… why the buttershmackle didn’t A-Net do an in-game survey… to see how many people would want a changed to precursors, lodestones, etc.. And they would have more legit numbers on population’s happiness.. rather than just take into consideration this supposedly ‘large feedback’ which is basically the same people posting on one thread over and over again…
Actually we have pretty scientific methods for determining how players feel.
Surveys have a tendency to have two major flaws:
1. There is a massive sample bias in those willing to fill out a survey
2. People don’t say what they feel on surveysSecondarily, all can rest assured that Legendaries will remain legendary.
I’d guess that the method you used has to do with how many searches the players did for a specific list of items (that involve the legendaries, like the precursors). That, or how many players created the gifts – this would eliminate a bias towards selling, but I’m not sure you guys can track that.
Secondarily, all can rest assured that Legendaries will remain legendary.
I’m happy to see that.
Thanks Anet – I’d say most of the entire community would appreciate any changes.
(The only one’s that don’t are the ‘elite’ few who would rather not see others with legendary weapons; likely because they already own them themselves)
Power to the people! I can’t wait to see what type of changes will be implemented. Exciting stuff!
This is projecting of the highest kind. I don’t have any legendary, nor am I in the path to get one, and I think that the harder legendaries are to get, the better. Yes, that includes gold.
I have plenty of responsibilities and will attend the events.
If I can’t, too bad. I rather have it as an one-time event than something repeated the entire day.
Fun is subjective. I find Orr to be fun.
I would like to know the answer.
In addition, there’s this thread:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/halloween/Are-the-Halloween-skins-permament
While Anthony does say that
. You can craft these at any time of the year, but there are certain components that will only drop during Halloween.
We can’t know for sure if he also meant the Recipes for the gifts obtainable from the Mystic Forge.
Currently I can’t talk in /g. It says “you are not in a guild” if I represent either of the 2 guilds I’m in.
Hitboxes are the same for all races. I’ve been stuck between the cogs’ teeth as well, and I play human.
Please add your report to this thread:

I can also confirm this glitch. Got this 3 or 4 times while running up, only difference between them being that half of them the camera was zoomed all the way in.
In every case, I was really far from the green ooze.
Also happened about 4 times when jumping into the broken clock face at the end. I would jump, get into a loading screen after hearing the shattering of glass and then sometimes I was instantly booted to the start of the puzzle (waiting room) or get a half-a-second glimpse of my character in the tower.
