I whisper them congratulations on cheating a broken system. As a solo Q’r your diamonds mean you grouped and took advantage of a flawed mechanic. I know many of you are good and fun to play with as I’ve been here fo eva but I solo and Anet kitten on my kind.
You should be mad at Anet for implementing one of the most kittened league systems in recent history. You can “abuse” the systems with two clicks, don’t be mad at the players for eating the free food given to them.
This is not what MMr tanking is.
This guy is trying to queue with a lower MMR player to reduce his painful queue times due to the lack of players in him high MMR. This means he is willing to play with a far less skilled partner in order to join a game without waiting 30 minutes, what’s seems to be the problem?
Assuming the system works, they’ll get in a game that will average the MMR on both teams.
Sharing some fun experience from today.
Solo + Solo + 3man vs 5 man. Intended I guess?
Does this feel a bit unfair or it’s just me?
They removed a massive cancerous tumor from spvp imo. Thank you devs for making the game more ejoyable.
11 months since a red post concerning skyhammer… Quite distrurbing.
Please give us a “veto” map option, or remove the map entierly. It’s not fun, it’s not competitive and it’s definetely a frustrating gaming experience.
Thank you.
At least they could implement a “veto” map option. So the people who enjoy throwing people of cliffs can still have fun; and the people who are about to get kitten it can avoid it.
Bump.
Skyhammer is not fun and it’s not competitive. It doesn’t belong in any tournament queue.
Please remove it.
This particular map is just infuriating to play in. And I know for a fact this is not some personal preference, everyone hates this map for reasons that honestly, don’t need to be stated.
It’s not competitive and it’s not fun. Please remove this map from solo queue once and for all.
Thank you.

After hacked account, authenticator linked?

I never used a mobile authenticator for Guild wars 2, however since I was hacked I noticed this under “https://account.guildwars2.com/account/security” page.
“A mobile authenticator is currently linked to your account. To unlink it, use the button below.”
I can still login to my game without needing to use a code anywhere. I’m a bit confused.
Why does the site say that I have an authenticator linked (which I never had before) and why I can still log on to the game without any codes?
And feedback is appreciated, thank you.
Is there something I can do about this? I’m really stressed.
Already made a ticket and waiting for a reply.
Warrior is OP for many reasons.
Killing newbies with kill shot is not one of them :-)
I really don’t like the weapon choices or the build. There is not synergy between the weapons or with the stats.. Talking about stats, they don’t make sense either.
Power is good but crit/crit dmg, condi and vitality are poorly distributed., almost like the armor is random parts.
Also, frenzy and throw bolas must go. Zerker stance, balanced stance, or dolyak signet or bull’s charge are a better choices.
Desolation is not tanking anything. 90% of the WvW guilds have either moved or quit. Dropping tier very logical under these circumstances.
I strongly recommend warrior, or rather avoid guardian. Every decent player/roamer will simple run away from you + you have no means of escape if you are suddenly outnumbered. Guardian can be very strong in 1vs1 or 1vs2 but this strength so easily exploited due to his poor mobility and this can lead to some extremely aggravating moments.
Warrior can excellently manage both of the above issues. Also, you can choose your fights while being extremely dangerous in 1vs1.

If by GvG you mean a simulation of the the meaningless 20v20 zerg that happens at windmill, no thanks.
If you mean GW1 GvG then definitely.
I really liked it. I’ve mained a warrior since start but I’m still no good with him. I’d love to be able to play GS/Hammer but I’m not very skilled at aiming earthshaker
Brilliant vid. Enjoyed.
Thank you, I’m happy you enjoyed it.
Enabling “quick casting” really helps aiming earthshaker more efficiently I think. Have you tried it?

I recently made a warrior and it’s by far the most fun I’ve had in WvW for a long time. This footage is mostly all 2v1s, or 1v1s with someone adding.
If you watch it please give me input and tips, since I’m still trying to learn the in/outs of the class.
The video took a huge quality hit after the youtube upload for some reason ;x

Balance is made for tier1 wvw.
Balance is made for high rank sPVP.This happen in all games. Companies balance their games for competitive play, not for the majority of yours community. Bloodlust maybe is great and bring a lot to the table for high tier servers, decompressing a little the zerg fight. In mid and low tier is the death. More if you are matchup vs a 7+ rank server.
Bloodlust is only fun, dynamic and balanced when the matchups are even (something very rare I might add). In T1 or T7 it doesn’t make a difference, the biggest blob will always have 3 orbs and ruin the game experience of the weaker servers.
Adding stats orb buffs back in the game is undeniably a poorly thought out move.
T1, btw
The outnumbered buff is meh, and personally I don’t care. I guess the wxp bonus is ok.
Giving +15o to all stats on the zergy/winning servers on the other hand, is a game ruining experience.
Over 100k score difference + Orbs <3

amazing the amount of crying that goes on on the forums. Are we going to have another 10+ threads from the gvg crowd crying about the new buff now? (vocal minority and all, of course they will listen to you! /sarcasm off
Good to see your attention span is below 3 seconds, because that is how long you spent reading this thread.
This is about make losing servers lose even harder and giving an even greater advantage to servers with the bigger numbers.
Having fun in T1.

This is the reasons orbs were removed in the first place, I don’t understand why they are back.
Unbalanced matchups will snowball even more…
Being a “small scale” roamer myself, this addition to WvW is disheartening and demoralizing.
I’m sure it’s going to be a blast for Seafarer’s rest, but please think of the servers that struggle against odds and zergs every day.
I’ll just say that an unkillable invisible enemy that can leave anytime or kill you in 3 seconds if you fail to spam tab target and face him, is a game ruining experience.
If you’re going to engage in hyperbole, please don’t be surprised when others do so as well.
If you want to have a discussion, I’m all ears. If all you want to do is throw out exaggerated blanket statements with little basis in reality, well, we’ve got enough of that here. It’s getting rather old.
The extreme examples intentional, precisely because I want to avoid technicalities. Simply because it doesn’t matter. The class IS balanced, it has weaknesses and strengths. The problem is that both of those are at the extreme.
There are scenarios when facing a thief can be, as I said before, a game ruining experience if you are on the receiving end, because of the above reason.
Not because the class is “BRONEN OMGG FIX NREF ARENENET”, but because a glass cannon with invisibility and teleporting options is a poor design concept.
Anyway, I’m out. Have fun and see you in the field.

Thieves are extremely UNFUN to play against. I don’t understand why people are trying to debate whether they are balanced or not.
They are just bad and unfun from a game design perspective. Invisibility and teleport spam are just so aggravating to face in battle. I won’t elaborate in what to change, because the class is designed around those kitten skills and it’s impossible to fix them without ruining it.

Probably it’s a blast if you like playing thief, just not my cup of tea.I find bunker guardians unfun to play against – so many blocks and immunes, knockbacks, full heals, boons galore…perhaps we should remove them from the game.
Same thing with every flavor of Mesmer – why won’t they just stand there and let me beat on them? Also removed from the game.
And don’t get me started on BM Rangers, HGH Engi’s, and Ele’s of any flavor – who do they think they are, fighting back? Removed! In fact, let’s replace every other player with targeting dummies that cry when I kill them – that would be fun.
All bunker builds are annoying, and that is their role. To hold the point as much as possible until help arrives. They are there, you can see them: having perma regen, protection, blocking in your face and knocking you back. Is this the same as burster that you can’t target because he blinks and spams invisibility? Maybe it is and I’ve lost perspective.
Also, I never said to remove any class from the game. I was only making an game-design oriented observation. Thieves are invisible glass cannons and it’s OK, that’s how they were designed.
No need to act kitten.

Interesting complaint, however the game is doesn’t have any of the founding principles that a competitive environment is build on.
So complaining about something that “hurts spectating” is like looking at short, hairy, fat ugly woman and complaining about the color of her choice of clothing.
Some people currently enjoy watching GW2 in the state that its in? I was watching BLU’s shout casts the past 2 days where he reached 300+ and 180+ viewers. Obviously Im not alone.
That short, hairy, fat ugly woman starts to look awfully nice when she is the only woman around.
Rofl, nice reply.
I watched Blu’s cast too and I really liked it. I’m just worried that it won’t last and that the “custom arena pvp patch hype will fade”. And to be honest, I don’t think it brought back pvpers who’ve left the game. It’s just the thirsty die-hard fans and remnants of the sPVP community who will appreciate any bone thrown at them.
I could literally get ten of my friends to come back and play if ladder was introduced. GW2 is one of my favorite games and I want to see it be much more because I know it can
Interesting complaint. However the game doesn’t have any of the founding principles that a competitive environment is built on. So this problem isn’t really a legitimate issue.

This game has much deeper and serious issues right now.

And if this was an e-sports game with a healthy playerbase, there would be rating, and you would quickly rise out of the rating pool of ’afker’s, leavers, and noobs’. Just like, you know, every single serious e-sports game since ever?
This makes me really sad. Because when the game launched, there was a HUGE competitive community converging to GW2 from various games. The game had so much potential, it really did. It wasn’t shallow hype, coating a trash shameless cash-in game (like Warhammer online or SWTOR).
90% of all those people left and never came back because the game lacked (and still does) core competitive features.
I don’t even dare imagine how big the competitive community would of been if the game had an actual ladder since release.
Noobs, leavers and afkers get away with it because there’s is nothing on the line for them.
If the game had rating and your kitten and ladder progression was on the line you would queue to fight for your win.
When you queue for your daily laurel it’s so easy to say “Ahh kitten it, I’ll try again in 10 mins”.
Adding rating and ACTUAL MMR to this equation instantly solves this problem. Leavers and people who insta-leave the game stay at the bottom of the pool fighting each other.
One can only dream.
This is the number one reason that makes me logout after a few sPvP matches. I don’t even care about matchmaking. I’m fine being teamed up with rank 8s vs 40s… I really am, I will give them some tips and they will do better next time.
But getting chain matches vs superpugs and having 0% chance to win before the game starts is just so demoralizing. I really really really love this game and this is (for me) the most un-fun and unfair feature in sPvP currently.
Having put many hours in Starcraft 2 and LoL, I feel those concepts are borderline mandatory. Matchmaking is more complicated and I really understand it’s taking them so long to come up with a solution. But throwing pugs against premades game-after game-after game is a crime.
And in the end it really hurts both sides. Back in the day where all my friends were still playing, we would queue as 5 man and destroy low ranked pugs. In was honestly sad. Literally, I felt bad for the other teams. Not because they “sucked” but because I was the fun killer for their evening.
It’s really a shame, GW2 has so MANY things right and it’s the lack of basic features that hurt it so bad.
8v8 is 100% meaningless. You lose half the games, people leave, I leave, I make a new char and join an be a complete noob etc etc. The only point of 8v8 is to see how your abilities work and relax a bit.
Go 5v5 solo queue. I’ve won tourneys with random teams and most of the time we make it to the second match. Occasionally you get crushed but at least you get to play some good 1v1s.
There is no rank and nothing to lose from going 5v5 tourney solo, only to gain.
