So when does DR kick in on stat’s…

I went with all AC, Soldiers runes and PVT for trinkets, but was thinking I could add in some crit or crit dmg in some way?

Dungeons have been a central issue with diminishing returns due to their large rewards and ability to be repeated. DR will trigger if the dungeon is completed consecutively and/or in under 30 minutes. This obviously affects teams that can clear a certain dungeon mode rapidly. DR will trigger if players cycle between two dungeon modes, even if the dungeons are different. A simple method to avoid this is to do all three explorable paths in order. I saw a Vid of a Guard who could solo Kholer

Could a War pull this off? I have my Guard to 40 but the lack of ranged ( And the fact that I did not pick a HUGE CHARR ) bothers me….So im not even 100% sure how a War gets its Heals ( Making them able to tank? )

Duel Pistols though….You change to Nads…Do BOTH proc on Nad hits?

Would Mesmer or Engi have an easier time in orr? ( Given = Gear ) I have both to almost 50 and still cant pick a main

Eng 1st to 80 why? Superior Solo-er?

Id like to be able to farm a Legendary, My highest toon is 50 ( Engi ) and I liked range so I thought I would try Mesmer. These forums would have you think its terrible ( Esp pre 40 and I Know its ironic I go to these forums to ask the question ) But im hoping I could also look someone in game to talk in more detail…..

Thanks Gkaare, I have finally picked Engi..I know I messaged you in game, and yeah I was just fishing for something that pushed me over the fence. I think it was WvW though, I felt helpless on the Guard ( I know, zero traits really at 30 ) but I had way more fun on the Engi…Prob not the best reason, but works in my Pea brain

I want to like Engineer as a Profession, after playing both to 30 ish I cant pick..I know the
cliche thing will be " Play what you like man" but I dont get a ton of Gaming time ( Wife aggro, 100% Immune to silence, stun, Fear and confusion ).

When I play the Engi I miss the Op factor in Guard, when I play the Guard I miss how strong Engi feels at range.

Any chance anyone on here has both at 80? How do they both perform in places like Orr if so…Thanks in advance….

Don’t Guards have a problem in Big events getting points for “Tagging stuff” since the ranged options are limited? I have no 80 though, and my Exp in WvW was limited as with out traits I suck there, so not 100% sure how it all works….

So after 100 hrs ( I think I have ea class up to 30 ish ) I have it down to two..

Guard or Engi.

Anyone out there have high end exp on both? Id like to know who can solo places like Orr and CS. This is important to me because I dont get a Huge amount of time to play, I need to be able to farm my Exotics myself. I get HUGE wife aggro, she is Immune to Silence and Fear, and I need to be able to log off at will…Making me not so group friendly for Dungeon runs.

Gkaare how do I find you to chat in game? Id LOVE to talk to someone who has both Eng and Guard as Im stuck between the two ( I know roll both, but I get HUGE wife aggro and only time for one ).

Seams that’s “How well you solo” place I like to solo and farm for mats ect….How good are Engi’s at this? Or should I follow the forum consensus and just roll a War or Guard

Can any other class farm the place better? I hear War maybe? I don’t care if it takes me an extra Spin to win rotation, I’m more concerned with staying alive…..Thoughts? Necro maybe?

So I think my end game goal will be to get a Legendary, I have both at 20 ish and still cant pick, anyone here play both to a High lvl? The forums absolutely trash Mesmers in PvE yet up to lvl 20 I dont see it, I find I kill mobs 2x as fast as anything but my War, and yet I read it only gets better?

Ok So I have both to lvl 30 ish, and the Forums seam to lean towards War, and Ranger is the worst class on the planet. I want to farm a Legendary, its my end game goal. What class from a PvE standpoint would have the Easiest time with this?

Thanks for all the pointers, I think I am leaning towards Necro based on fun factor, I know the cliche thing is “Play whats fun” but lets be honest with ourselves, no matter how much mashing certain buttons make our belly tickle as the sparks fly ect, its VERY disheartening to look over at another camp of mobs and watch a certain class OMFG pwn the same mobs in 1/10 of the time it took you…..So with that said, has any 80 Necro’s out there felt this way at 80?

So shame on them for making all the classes SO much fun…With that said I have a 20 of each and have it down to these 3…So at 80, who has the least trouble with places like Orr ect? Thanks in advance…

I know most will say there is no real reason to “Farm” at 80 but looking at the legendary list of items some of it will have to be done. I get HUGE wife aggro fast, and she is immune to stun and silence so I have to have the option to just log off…

I have played both to 30 ish ( I hear Mes dont shine till 40 ish ) and I know Ranger is the Bot of choice, ( easier to control with said botting program ). Any one have high end exp with both? Thoughts?
