it should be a passive effect for vigor. like 25% evade chance.
i disagree with this because “play how you want” doesnt really go with “but only for so long” its a good idea because zerging in wvw is a problem but needs tweaking somehow or somewhere. maybe a global respawn if you outman the enemy. but again people shouldnt be limited just because theres more of them that want to do wvw.
Hello im an avid wvw player now. i find it amazing and enough to quench my thirst for larger pvp battles. but something is missing.
in teir 1 wvw and im assuming most other teirs strategy is to mass into one zerg with a few that do their own thing, scout, or defend a location long enough for a large zerg to respond. this is kinda fun ill admit but lacks any real strategy. and cordianating pugs is like herding blind crippled dead cats. in otherwords near impossible.
WHAT PROPOSING IS a secondary “green” commander tag. to allow another commander to issue commands to others without having to lay out complicated commands to large numbers or seperating zergs. and 2 to have the amount of friendly players requested/in area by the commander as well as the lesser commanders, and the amount of resources these commander groups posess.
green commanders should only be allowed to request up to 20 players and once they have that amount their icon should vanish from map untill their population drops below that for all but the blue commanders (to prevent distraction from the leaders mob). these tags should always appear for commanders as well as allowing icons to know wether the commander is in battle (red icon that only a commander will see the change).
the reasons for allowing only commanders to see these icons at cap is to prevent spying (its funny that people do it in a game, lol and its also funny people like me want to prevent it) so that if some one pops their commander tag and you dont recognize them you can know that they are spying (and hopefully allow commanders and lesser commanders to block their info from being shared with these unscrupulous sabatours. not a perfect fix but would need a more dedicated spay group). npc commander tags should only appear as yellow icons for break out events ect. commanders should also be allowed to set a requested limit if 2 or more commanders are present up to infinity, man power permitting.
im asking for these things not so much because something is wrong with wvw. i just see an opportunity to do more with it and make it thrilling to win and crushing to lose if youre outplayed and out manuvered as opposed to out zerged. (10 man teams attacking 5 camps then group together to form 20 man teams to assualt towers dont give a large zerg much time to quickly respond.) just a thought i admit i enjoy large zergs too and i dont feel really bad or beaten if my 14 man team gets run over by a 50 man zerg. which kinda goes with anets philosophy. but funs gotta be in there too and i want to maximize it.
in gw 1 it showed the enemies skills they were currently using under their name? why didnt you carry this over to gw2? i was just desttroyed by a necromancer that could easily have taken on any 2 members of my team and won. i was spec’d for tough vit and a little bit of power and he still dropped my health like i was a gc. and the other in my group i dont know if they were gc too but he never seemed to take any damage.
i understand that necros have 2 life pools but he never appeared to go into it i think the skillbar should turn a vomit green or something when they enter it. and does life leech bypass toughness? i didnt have too too much in vit but it was mostly tough and vit. id like to inspect their builds after a match too even. this happens quite a bit and no matter what i try nothing seems to be making a difference.
just would like an optional feature to make clothes “shimmer” with the glossed look most earlier games had on their polygons before that shadow buffering or whatever its called was invented. sometimes i want my gaurdian to have shimmering armor and even my ranger deserves a freshly oiled shimmering cloak type attire.
and opposite that. on occasion i want my elementalist to have blood and dirt stains on his clothing and if possible his face. this would be more difficult but they should be random and make even shiny armor seem dull and ugly. id like it to give some torn edges but thats asking a bit much so just dirt and blood would be awesome. this could even be a gold sink having an “armor cleaning” merchant that either cleaned your armor and sold items to clean it on the road. but i want dirty armor too so i might never use it. i also accept that some female armors barely cover sensitive areas so adding tears could be risky.
stop complaining about the dailies untill anet starts making them mandatory. they can be ignored . if you ignore them you lose out on a bit of loot. if you dont run a dungeon ever second you play you miss out on tokens. i want more variety in dailies but thats the only problem i have with them. nothing else about them should or needs to change.
if youre playing this game as its meant to be played ie at a challenging area(level adjustments are there for a reason) and with other people (its an mmo) then 10 revives is nothing. what would you rather ? a walking distance one? or a trading post one? reviving is something you should be doing anyway and youre getting an additional prize for it. seriously give a suggestion to take its place i want to see what a better idea is in your eyes.
im not asking for anything fancy just a star wars rip off lightsaber. come on anet make it work. or even lightsaber staffs with darth maul ends or whatever. you had chaos ax’s and gloves in gw 1 and we need them badly in gw 2. i want to feel like a jedi asura yoda type with my ele. and a jedi with a cool glowing sheild as a gaurdian. why dont i play a star wars game? because 1 they all suck 2 their stories dont interest me and 3 i only like the lightsabers.

i dont like the childish legendarys but i do like that theyre in the game. its a game and not all of us are role players. if someone wants to run around with a “rainbow” and a quaggan napsack its pretty entertaining to me. even if i wouldnt use them myself….. though i did buy a quaggan napsack…. im not sure why anyone wouldnt.
op have you lost your mind? ive been reading posts and im not sure what you even want? how are they going to measure skillful play? # of attacks dodged? would kinda limit your build to high dps ones then. you argue with anyone and cant even see your statement AT BEST is vague. do you talk to people in real life like that and then become puzzled when they cant read your mind? can you read other peoples minds?

odd one i like the dwarves too man. but wouldnt you rather have some new ideas in the game? i already know dwarves are miners, in gw 1 slavers. and dug up some horrible evil that caused havoc.
wouldnt you rather find out why the hell the quaggan havent gone extinct? or the skritt for that matter? the tengu and krait also keenly have my interest. we all already basically know what dwarves do. they dig, find something bad, and are good with machinery. what about the centuars? theres so many choices id rather they explored first. then if they wanted to do dwarves fine . but do you really expect many surprises? like theyve been building sky cities to fight the dragons or something? or do you just expect them to be searching for some ancient artifact buried deep to restore their race? would you watch a movie youve already seen before 30 times even if they added or changed a few scenes? i wouldnt.
wouldnt be hard for someone to run to la and say “the big monster has appeared at ect” so i dont think your idea of drops for defeating it is realistic. but otherwise i like this and have mentioned something similar before.
worst idea ive ever seen. anet doesnt charge a monthly fee. if youd rather they charged a monthly fee and gem purchases were always what you wanted. fine. ask them to do that. i for one like the system the way it is and only buy gems when i like what anet is doing and less so for some new skin. if you like the game buy gems once in a while . if you want to pay for the same item that everyone else will buy and be a clone then tell them to charge a monthly fee and make items set. also tell them to make it pay to win while youre at it.
i like this idea…. but it would destroy their economy. whos going to want lower teir crafting materials if all you need is one high level set. trust me i would rather what youve said but theyd need to change a lot of other stuff and i dont think they could without appearing amaturish

i wouldnt buy either a quaggan or a plush griffon…. but anet i can really see theres money to be made here. real money. 15$ griffons that you can optionally buy through the gems store or this website. and if you could buy them through the gem store i might just be tempted enough. i know what i said earlier…. but they are kitten cute.
they just need more condition removal skills and to reclassify some of these stacking condition damages to “plague, sickness, ailment” whatever. so someone planning on running into a lot of conditions wont have to worry about 50 stacks of “bleeding” if he can remove them just as quickly and almost as often as they can be inflicted. they should also reduce the damage DOTS do to compesate to that condition removal doesnt become mandatory making blindness weakness and chilled useless (could also reclassify them as hexes to make them more difficult to remove.
ive seen a lot of weapon posts but none ever seem to mention throwing knives. id like to see a pistol throwing knife theif, or necromancer. maybe even an engineer.
elementalist elites in general need to be redone…. i only use glyph of elementals because although tornado is good it cant be used the least of which is confusion. but it doesnt add anything to survivability . only people that dont know how weak tornado is run from it.
the best mesmer player against 3 good thieves is a dead mesmer. and im guessing your 13-14 by your horrible spelling. even foreigners arent that bad at spelling english words. even if they cant read english!. im sorry you lose to mesmers but youre going to have to get over that. i think theyre a fruity class two and my mesmer is my only female character because of this.
why would we want to run around picking flowers? most of the players are male. i dont want to pick flowers.
yeah but if im kicked out because of a lack of a party lock i lose all the dungeon progress . majority doesnt = right. this feature wouldnt even effect those who didnt want to use it . could be a small checkbox at an enter dungeon dialogue box off by default that pugs could use. anyway anet i hope you see that this simple thing probably would be used. i like meeting new people and dont like asking people if theyd like to do something id rather just find others that want to do the same thing as me.
please give us the dungeon to lock parties in dungeons. make it an optional choice before or during an instance and make it have to be unanimous otherwise you cant enter then dungeon.
if its optional then people that dont want to use it dont have to (allow it to memorize what youve last chosen as well)
i ask this for 2 reasons 1 i play pug almost exclusivly sometimes the experience is pleasant sometimes it isnt. if it isnt and im outnumbered by them which i always am i get kicked. i have numerous pleasant experiences so the one constant thing here is me and which would leave me to the conclusion im not the problem if its possible for me to make friends after a dungeon run.
and 2 once youre out of a party you lose all the text that was said by the party making it difficult to report the players. if im playing with some kittenes i would much rather be protected by party lock and i can block and or report them quickly and easily.
i understand the reasons for the way it is now but if its optional then not everyone has to use it. at least give us a choice.
1st id like to have collectibles in the bank increased in stack size. 250 limit is easily reached and i dont want to sell my unused raw materials
2nd add more collectible slots such as half formed armors meals , and for karma drops jugs and whatever else. these things are collectible so lets have some space for them
by all means charge a gem price for them or let us know if theyre being planned for an expansion. i want these things and yes im willing to buy them.
off topic could a rare crafting material buff opposite of magic find be added? i dont have many vials of blood but im up to my eyeballs in various magic dusts or leather scraps.
i dont think theres much wrong with the engineer that couldnt be solved with trait buffs. each trait should buff 1 type of kit and none of the others and allow for buffs to certain typs of turrets or potions. so we see a class that is still unpredictable and versitile but has a strong medkit flam turret close range combo, or a rifle rocket turret elixer gun combo. as it stands right now i go elixer build regardless of my situation its not awesome but it isnt bad. i also like the flamethrower…. but thats more because hey,… its a flamethrower.
i think magic find should be taken out entierly. all it does is limit a character. after all if everyone could choose their gear right down to the runes who on earth would choose to have a magic find attribute? youd already have what you want. i like dungeon crawling but just played with a group and all but me had magic find gear. i died a lot and so did they. it wasnt fun for me because i was expected to do more and recieved less.
lol you people whining about waypoint fees have no idea what youre asking for. why dont they just make everything free? im guessing you all would rather pay 10 silver for a bolt of just just for free waypoint fee’s? these gold sinks reduce grind and so many other things . you dont have to use waypoints.
comming from a guy that loves dark magic users and minions in every other game i like the necromancer the least. i find the only class worse off is the engineer. and thats only because of the random nature of their skills. even so id sooner play my engineer than my necro. why? because they ruined it in this game. the minions arent grizzly the leeching should be higher and the life pool should be lower. if i ever have the need to play an irritatingly high hp character thats not too effective with balloon animals following me ill play my necro. so i might play him on april 1st or something but thats it.
im a long time gw player. i love the necromancer in almost every game ive played. the only one i dont like them in is gw2. why?
1st aesthetic the minions you summon are not scary. they look like balloon animals or shaved cats. theyre cartoony to the point of absurdity. i would rather minions were completely taken out of the game than have what weve got. I LOVE necromancing and dark magic and what youve given us is something a preschooler dreams about, yes dreams not nightmares. and im not even kidding about taking them out, either do it right or dont do it. you can always have spells powerd by death or something.
the damage, this is poor with the exception of some bleed builds and wells are alright for stripping boons and applying conditions. but bleeds quickly reach the max stack in parties and why cant we have a high damage class? make DS increase power and precision dependant on level and grant immunity to certain conditions or something (im not saying it would have to do that i just dont want an extra life bar with skills i cant change and that i dont like).
i honestly think everything about the necromancer is wrong . comming from a guy that preferrs necromancers curses blood magic death magic to all other classes, i dont like playing my necromancer. and so i dont. it isnt fun and it isnt what i envisioned a necromancer to be. what i envision a necromancer to be is having scary minions and dark lingering curses. and life leeching attacks. i want my enemies to feel like a wraith of death is still following them either through poison bleeding or leeching even after a fight has disengaged or ive lost. instead you gave me a character that takes hits like a champ and not much else….. comming from the gw1 necro this is a poor substitute. wheres an insidious parasite lingering curse parasitic bond aura of the lich and life siphon?you have flash kill classes so why not give the necro a solid counter to them by giving them decent damage mitigation transfer to minions or spirits or higher burst damage. no more ballooon animals!

when im in orr and i know im not alone i just run past almost every enemy. why? i enjoy the combat, and i dont expect a significant reward every enemy. so why dont i play combat i enjoy so much?
alright the whole orrian area is boring to me. its not that the battles arent challenging enough and the rewards are great enough its just theres too many of the same enemies and no variety. they enemies take far to many hits solo , and they all basically look the same. this is compounded by the fact other players do the same thing unlocking way points is a chore. whats the solution? for me its easy enough. remove all personal story elements including the final dungeon from orr. i dont want to go there but i do want to complete my personal story. if i want to fight battles that are seemingly endless time consuming and with a moderate challenge ill go there. (which does happen sometimes)
another solution is to cause events to spawn the current number of enemies and then some, but remove most of them once the event has been completed unless the map population is very high. the karka islands are fairly difficult as well but at least visiting there isnt required to do anything. your personal story wont steer you there and there are many worthwhile drops from the run of the mill enemies there.
the solution is not to give enemies more grab and pull/cripple/stun/chill abilities. all they do is aggravate the player . and the points where they do cause the player to stop and fight theyre usually too low on health to survive. forcing a player to do something they dont enjoy doesnt somehow make it enjoyable, just as burning your hand doesnt become fun after the 50th hour. keep in mind map population vs enemy population. if everyone on the map were less than a minimum needed to take on balthazar at the moment lower the monster count. my personal favorite solution is to make the entire area optional. its bland and ugly unlike the rest of tyria (even scorched charr areas are prettier) and i dont want to go there and cant imagine ever wanting to be there except for something that i can only get from there.
if they change blindness they have to change aegis as well, what would you have them do convert all incomming damage like your blindness buff? or 75% chance to block? blind work the way it should. you dont seem to realize that not all classes have good condition removal so having a lingering blindness that reduces chance to hit or damage would cripple them. unless you want to give some of their skills condition removal buffs. but that would take away from what you seem to want from blindness. it to be oped.
just give them the gold equivalent theyll like you more
legendarys should be fully customizable right down to dying them, stats, and even name. (they should not be able to sell one a name has changed soul or account bound and if pinged into chat or anywhere else the base name should appear instead of the altered one) the amount of crap you have to put into them merits and additional reward i think.
high im a dungeon runner. i love them and the tokens and coin they bring. in truth i have no problem with them except that people who explore the world more which is also something i enjoy doing are complaining about drops. my solution is pretty simple make them 1 time a day chests 4-6 in each map that spawn in random locations.
the reason i suggest this is because explorers are saying they arent getting exotic drops. and i usually always see one or more dungeon runners getting them guess where? the chests. dungeon tokens and coin still make them worth it but exploration is needing a little incentive where they dont expect it. i wouldnt want farmable chests so they would have to be random.
okay im an adult im single and dont have any kids. i play this game a lot and im sure my suggestions would be popular with a small but large enough to justify it amount of people.
id like a server with no voice filtering of any kind, no scam reporting , just basically report functionality for bots bugs and exploits. people are degenerates i accept this but anet doesnt. if someone wants a racist name let them. someone wants to scam some noob out of 20 gold let them do that too. someone wants to pvp people 20 levels below them let them do that do.(keep the zone level correcting by all means though). why would i want this? no i wouldnt plan on doing any of those things except the use of colorful language. yes people could camp wps (make a few mounts). and yes people would get scammed but people need an outlet and this game is so cutsey even if it is fun sometimes i just like seeing people being kitten to one another. and i also like watching people gang up and deal with the kitten as well. make a big warning about what goes on in the sever and dont allow kids. i dont like playing with them and they probably enjoy my company even less.
2nd i want a really long and very difficult dungeon that can only be ATTEMPTED 1 per week. but make the reward a legendary assembly peice that requires say 20 pieces. make it a significant time investment but allow for at least 3 peices to be obtained per run. but only if it is completed 100% and only give a chance of aquiring them if it is either incomplete or partially with better chances the higher up the completion is. dont make it for the soft core and people can get other legendaries and if they cant handle the dungeon tell them they dont have to play it. even warn them it is very high risk reward before entry. the reason im asking for this is because after beating lupi im finding other dungeons pretty easy even though my second attempt of lupi no one even died.
… one final poin. crash tales of the mist. i wish to god i could play this dungeon reliably some parts are challenging and fun. but i crash all the time in that dungeon for whatever reason. theres even one jumping fractal i crash for ne reason i can see at the same point every time. please clean up the crashes and allow player to rejoin it if they do crash id love to play this dungeon. my computer isnt high end can run it on higher settings at a sacrafice to fps. i however keep almost everything low and never lag so it isnt my hardware.
please anet we need an adult server.
the op speaks for me. even a small reward of 10-20 cogs and 25 stuffing + glue. it is a fun mini game and one worth repeating if only there were incentive to do so.
i just played a full round of toypacalypse. i made nothing but turrets and walls the whole match. and my turrets killed a lot and did a lot of damage. every event i got nothing. not one thing other than event completed. no exp no karma nothing. WTF anet. seriously. at the end it said i made 2 kills. its a team game and i got nothing. if its meant to be competitive make it competitive and with a goal that is personal not a common goal (to survive each round as a team).
this has ruined holiday events for me. i enjoyyed clock tower on halloween and have tried and given up on the wintersday jumping puzzle. dont get me wrong i really like them i just lack the keyboard skills to do them successfully. if it were on a gamepad thats a different story. but still even after hours of play time i still got nothing. i know i dont accomplish anything meaningful while playing a video game, but youve made me feel used for all the time i did spend on any event(excepting the karka beach which was a blast and the reward was perhaps too generous.) . at least give us an ugly sock or something low in value for trying at an event. and PLEASE make team events have team rewards and competitive events have ways to screw over your competitors and not have you relying on them to make it to the next round. this was horrible decision making. and the memories of just failing an event arent enough to keep me interested. please learn from your mistakes. the halloween and karka events were far superior imo, but if you choose not to listen im pretty sure im not the only one to feel this way.
off the topic why give us 200 toy gears? why not 250? or is this something thall make sense to me sometime tommorrow?

anet is being pretty generous already i dont think they should do this.
NEVER buy gems for items in the gem store or to gamble. the only reason to buy gems is if you like what anet is doing. remember no subscription fees so supporting them is your choice. all you need to do is ask yourself “is what theyre doing worth 30$ or not”
because it will fund future events and items to truly make your character unique
anet yes more maps more skins more items, or more trait skills and points. more crafting. (specially like cooking we need a crafting gold sink for consumables with considerable bonuses or possibly altered/enhanced skill sets) like a summoning stone profession which creates elemental summoning stones or massive call down spells per use which are extremely expensive to make. like a meteor shower with 2x the aoe but costs 3 g to get all the materials.
no more levels slightly higher level gear. legendary’s are where it stops where would you go from there? ultimate? dont do it. i also would have liked level 100 but ill settle for level 80.
this would be a god send

i dont know how or why this hasnt been done ive complained numerous times about these enemies. they arent balanced in the story. because they just attack whatever useless npcs might be accompaning you, build up their frenzy and then kick the kitten out of you. change this change this change this change this. either make blind more spamable. make them able to be knocked down or get rid of their frenzy. these enemies are not fun to fight and esspecially not fun to fight whith the kitten npcs you give us. if this isnt changed right away i still willl buy expansions but i sure as hell wont be buying gems ever again.
wheres the nog man? i want my char to wind up spending the rest of this wintersday vomiting and in fear for his life because hes so blind drunk that his few remaining brain cells cant form a thought between them that going beyond soiling himself and lying passed out near the wintersday snow globe.
and also id like an acheivment. they bane of balefyre acheivement.
