The part you have marked is probably a combination of “D”, “O” (the letter) and “0” (the number zero).
Just try any possible combination of those (I’ve had codes for which I needed like 20-30 tries to get them right).
You can try to ask support (Top of the page → Support → Submit a request) if they can send you a replacement.
They are usually really helpful if you ask nicely.
It’s intended, you can’t put any account or soul bound items in the guild stash
It turns out that I can only finish the recipe, by leveling my main towards lvl450 artificer. even though I have a lvl500 artificer as alt character. but that character doesnt have te recipe for it. and cannot get it either, because the achievement is done for the account.
You can buy the chest which yields the recipes again for appr. 10k Karma at Grandmaster Craftsman Hobbs.
… Since it stopped, so did my regular XP since nothing clears the XP bar when enough points are earned. It just stays at full points.
So this sound like your experience bar is completely full and does not move anymore?
If thats the case, just click on the experience bar and confirm (click the lock icon) that you will spent your Mastery Point on the currently selected track, this will not happen automatically.
This system is also explained in the wiki http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mastery#Mastery_experience
Just a quick question, how are “guild leaders” defined?
Is it any rank with all permissions or just the highest rank in the guild or …?
Works as intended (was somewhere mentioned, too lazy to search for source statement)
Tried killing Frostblast (not Frostfang) withour talking to Krepet, does not work.
You might try to contact customer service (“Support” link at top of page).
But remember that anet is actively removing gold from accounts which have bought it from any third party, if you did this … well it’s gone.
i tried all of these solutions but the game crashes again, do u have any other suggestions?
uhmm … only some more, but all may be a bit time and money consuming:
- completetely reinstall Windows, all drivers and Guild Wars 2 – nothing else – and try again
- find s.o. near your location which has some experience with computers 8espacially hardware issues which might be the case – hard to tell from distance) and ask him/her
- buy a new computer
Try to visit the Chantry of Secrets (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Chantry_of_Secrets) again.
This helped a lot of players in the past.
If you just want to try if everything works, you can transfer to a different world for free if you do not have any characters.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/World#Accounts_without_active_characters
“Fatal disk-error” sounds like an error with your hard disk.
- Check if you have enough free space on the disk where Guild Wars 2 is installed (it needs roughly around 25GB)
- Check your disk (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2641432/)
- If both of the abive are ok try to redownload Guild Wars 2 completely
Just a wild guess:
Try to enable the action keys in the BIOS and see if that helps in Guild Wars 2
Would be great if you can tell us which error the error window displays
Hi magus,
I guess you are playing on a laptop?
Your system should be able to handle Guild Wars 2 without any problems, but you might try the following:
- As HykCraft mentioned update your graphic card drivers
- Update your sound card drivers
- Set your graphic settings to the lowest (“Best performance”)
- Check if your system is too hot (by hand or use tools like CPU-Z and GPU-Z)
- Try to repair your Guild Wars 2 installation (https://help.guildwars2.com/entries/28148006-Repairing-the-Game-Client)
- Try to disable the sound for Guild Wars 2 (follow the instructions for repairing but use “-nosound” instead of “-repair”)
- Do not fiddle with your router settings, if you can start the game and play it (at least for some minutes) everything related to your router is working fine
If none of the above helps:
- Check if your system needs some cleaning (i.e. dust on case openings)
- Update everything else on your system (windows update, other drivers)
- Uninstall Guild Wars 2 and redownload it completey

Auto attack works only while your’e in combat and have something targeted, this also applies to any untargeted skill.
Afair this is to prevent people from abusing auto attack as a method to circumvent the inactivity kick.
Hi trixxple,
would be good if you can specify the “treasure portal” a bit more.
Do you mean the portal before the boss? Or the one after him?
Eitherway some things which might explain your problem:
- You can only port to portals if you moved through them, just reaching them is not enough
- If you log out or disconnect, your current progress is not saved
- If you change the map your progess is also not saved
- In some cases you might just end up dead on the bottom, if that happens you can just use the nearby waypoint and walk back to the first portal and talk to the golem to be telported
Hello Kydox and welcome to Guild Wars 2,
what you’re experiencing is perfectly fine, pets are managed seperately for land and underwater.
I’ve marked the slots for underwater pets in the attached screenshot.
Just leave it, if others have the same question
Already completed it, just look in every corner for trees or other stuff you might have missed.
@Marge: The “Gift of Candy Corn” was the reward from last year, which is unfortunately not longer obtainable.
@Greyhound: Did you check your material storage in your account bank?
I guess you are trying to “discover” the recipe in the top most tab on the crafting station.
Try using the second tab where all your already learned recipes are listed.
The password IS remembered, but it’s not displayed (just try clicking on login).
The actual problem is that the autologin feature does not work anymore for a lot (all?) people, so you have to press “Login” by yourself.
“Skill unlock requirements for some professions, such as elementalists (attunements) and necromancers (death shroud), have moved. Elementalists in a moved attunement will remain in it until they change. That attunement will be reacquired upon reaching the new level requirement.” (Patch notes)
Be aware that you have to unlock the guild bank (and every other guild unlocks) for each server (i.e. Blackgate) on which you’re members are playing.
Also influence is collected per server, not for the guild in total.
(see wiki for more details: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Guild#Membership)
PS:
Anet plans to change guilds to be global later on this year.
Be aware, that you will not get any points (experience) if the item you are crafting is too low for your current crafting level.
The items are marked in different colors to show how much experience you can expect.
See here for details on the colors: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/crafting/Color-Coding
Additionally the wiki might help to learn the crafting basics:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Crafting
(edited by poebel.4780)
This happans to several special skins, propably because anet does not want to spoiler them to new players.
Go to “Options -> Graphic Options” and change “Character Model Limit” and “Character Model Detail”. Be aware that this might lower your fps sigificantly (the game had a reason to set them to low)
You may also try to add them in a different order, this has helped in the past.
Yes, see wiki (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/World#Transferring) for more details.
Be warned, that you’ll lose access to all guild related stuff (guild bank, upgrades, …)
To my knowledge this message has nothing to do with legendary weapons, instead it will pop up if you have an piece of equipment which had an + magic find stat (they were removed).
Check all of your equipment (armor, accesories, backpiece, weapons)
You should propably use the latest stable drivers, mantle support won’t help you anything in GW2.
Same here (and for an huge amount of other people in TxS)
Same problem here, attached is the correspondig crash log.
(Removed system name and IP – why the hell are they in the log?)
I’ve played WvW (on Eternal Battlegrounds) before this happened and exited (ALT+F4) while I was dead.
EDIT:
To find the crash log go to the folder (might be hidden):
C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Roaming\Guild Wars 2\

Try to delete your cache and local settings (this will also delete your stored email/password and graphic settings!), folder names are for Windows 7 default installation, I do not know how they are on other platforms.
The mentioned folders are usually hidden, try entering them directly with your username in the windows explorer if you do not see them (or at least a parent folder for the temp directory)
1. Close your game
2. Delete everything in the folder:
C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Roaming\Guild Wars 2\
3. Delete everything in the folder:
C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Local\Temp\gw2cache-{<some-long-text/number>}\
4. Restart your game and try again.

…
Does anyone know if you can log out during the event and log back in to complete it?
You can try that, but you’ll face the following problems:
- You need to get to the same server/overflow (very unlikely for living story events if you are not in a party)
- You have to participate in the event after you logged in again to get any rewards, everything you’ve done before relogging will not be considered by the game.
EDIT:
I’ve got theis bug several times now during the marionette and jungle worm events.
bump
Yep, really annoying bug.
Please give us at least a chance to kill those beasts.
Probably you have completed a zone which you had already completed before your break. This can happan if the zone got a new wp or poi and you will not get the rewards again.
This particular trader is bugged for over an year now, an we had several bug reports about it …
I don’t believe they will ever fix it.
Can you check what your total stats in the hero panel show when you (un-)equip the ring?
Do they ignore the jewel?
Another hint:
To take screenshots of tooltips, you can hold down your left mouse button while hovering over the item to make the tooltip appear in the screenshot.
…. bump ….
The hidden achievement never counted for the meta and is (I guess by purpose) not intended to get the title.
Why do you not just finish the last normal achievement?
Dodging the tail is one of the easy ones which can be done solo during times where no one battles Tequatl …
I guess it’s one of the chambers with the three glowing fields at the exit? One oft them is actually a portal (the other two will kill you, but the npcs can rezz you)
Just some more items with wrong names:
((Knights Acolyte Cowl)) ID: 40914
((Knights Apprentice Gloves)) ID: 40922
There is a PvP version of the unidentified dye (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Unidentified_Dye_ which can not be sold or used for crafting. You can get them from PvP chests afaik.
(edited by poebel.4780)
I guess you are using the Vengeance skill (skill 3 while downed – http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Vengeance) which does exactly what you’ve described.
