Got mine to work.
What I did is to target the Drones first, make sure they all die, then the invul guy, lastly the big guy.
The big guy went invulnerable for a while, walked, and triggered a cutscene.
So are you saying i have to kill the big guy slower so he can cause a cut scene… cause I tried the kill all the little ones first as well but that didnt work. Getting kinda sick of this repeate…
Not necessarily, but making absolutely sure that none of the Chak Drones escape or get ‘lost’ seems to help. The invul guy makes the drones invul also while he is close. Wait for him to move away. When only one drone was left i killed him with CC and then immediately killed the last Drone, then the ‘boss’.
There are definitely some serious bugs going on here though, because I bugged at other points before as well.

at the very least they would need a few full raging battles to be capable of hitting the map cap and have a match going in full swing.
If they don’t stress the limits of the system it’s not a stress test. I think it’s more of a bug-finding exercise since the infrastructure they’ll use is prob the same for current WvW
But doesn’t that mean she’s just standing in temporarily? Like a caretaker government since things were so screwed up for them up until the treaty?
I wonder what will happen to her when Mordremoth is slain. If the Nightmare is his influence within the dream then what will become of the Nightmare Court?
My contention is merely that the origins of the human charr war are much older than the searing, and netiehr side is innocent. lets leave it at that, saking for vengence on the charr is just going to continue a war of massacre and counter massacure that’s been going on for centuries already, which does no one any good, especuially during a dragon incursion.
P.S. While the charr did take their land from the grawl before them, the difference there is they never tried to completely remove the grawl. You’d still find grawl tribes living in charr territory, you didn’t find any charr villages in Ascalon under human rule.
Of course you’re not going to find any charr near human settlements; we all know how well charr play with others…
Don’t forget that most royal households had so called “cadet” branches, even if the main royal line died out there are likely some survivors with ascalonian royal blood left through marrages between younger sons and daughters of the royal house to other aristocratic families of Ascalon.. they question is how would anyone figure out which one is next in line 250 years later? Those that survived probably didn’t have time to bring a full geneology with them when fleeing ascalon.
There is an ancient way of deciding such dilemmas:
Well the Charr went and built the Black Citadel ON TOP OF RIN. If that isn’t a sign of “in your face” disrespect I don’t know what it is.
Also Ascalon was built on the lower half of the area, not all of it. And we don’t even know what’s north of the Blood Legion’s homeland; for all we know it could be an even bigger area of fertile land. You tell me that sending thousands of soldiers to retake an average-sized piece of land is better than build up your OWN border defenses and build your OWN cities??
My understanding is that Kryta is supporting Ebonhawke for the simple fact of being a human city in need of aid. Remember that humanity is in decline and common sense dictates you can’t go into petty squabbles over who-rules-who when you have other races that could wipe out yours living nearby.
However, just like the queen has no authority over Lion’s Arch’s residents, she has no say over what goes on in Ebonhawke or any Ascalonian lands.
So assuming that either Samuelsson or some other descendant pops out of the woodwork, we still have a royal line running in Ascalon.
I want thiiiiiis!!!

IMO Anise IS Livia.
I’ve been through the EotN cinematics and the personality fits to a tee. Nowadays she treats almost everyone like children probably because in relation to her age everyone IS a child. It could be that she NEEDED to go mesmer precisely for the youth-illusion part, for otherwise people would probably have issues having an old hag (maybe a lich?) be their queen’s primary guard. As to how she got to stay alive for over two centuries, maybe she discovered some ancient spells along with the Scepter of Orr which give magic-enhanced lifespans? To this I’m not entirely sure how it happened. But I’m certain she’s old; 60+ or 70+ at the least, because during the noble story arc with the trial by combat she exclaims
“Trial by combat? Who’d have thought it? I’m surprised Zamon even knows it’s an option. There hasn’t been one in over fifty years…or, at least, that’s what I’ve been told.”
It has been years since I’ve completed my main’s PS (which incidentally is a human noble) and at the time I never paid it any mind cos.. well.. at that time who would’ve expected it?
Professions can be changed the same way Kieran went from Ranger to Paragon during GW1 and even more recently Rytlock went from Warrior to Revenant, so it’s a choice and people are not born in a profession, nor are they locked in it.
Funny though, there aren’t many Mursaat, if at all.
I know that we’ll be meeting with the Exalted in HoT and they look mightily like Mursaat but if they’re one and the same why change their name at all?
Maybe they are a faction of “good mursaat”, similar to how the charr have a “bad” legion?
So if Commander Samuelsson is confirmed to be a descendant of the Ascalonian Kings… why the heck is he not named a king or at least a prince, duke, or whatever?? Is it too much to ask to have another human monarch? He’s the Ascalonian heir; he’s not gonna go charging into DR assaulting the queen for the Krytan throne…
Because there is no Kingdom of Ascalon anymore?
This, although he does claim the title Duke of Ebonhawke. He probably could get away with crowning himself if he felt like it (and he’s not the sort who would), but it’d be an empty vanity at this point. Maybe in a few generations, once the settlements beyond the walls grow larger and regain some measure of their lost power and wealth.
The kingdom is its people, not housing estate and walls. The people of Ebonhawke are definitely a proud bunch. They can easily ask Samuelsson to be their king the same way people in GW1 asked Adelbern back in the day.
The treaty would still be in force of course.

What is repeated in the books is (I believe) according to what the characters themselves assume is true, so while the chance of it may be very slim, I wouldn’t use such lines as a final answer.
Rurik had a brother?? That’s news to me tbh but yeah, he could’ve died during or before the searing itself.
Well since the Barradin family was the legitimate royal line while Adelbern was kind of ‘voted-in’ to be king instead, if any of the Barradin family had kids who somehow made it to puberty and had kids then at least some royal line would remain unbroken.
Totally not what I was hoping for since I’d prefer some Rurik descendant to pop up, but hey, it’s still good Ascalonian blood after all.
Let’s rebuild the kingdom…. in Ebonhawke!
I KNOW Althea gets killed at some point before we resume the game post-searing, but when we rescue that guy during one of the missions Rurik exclaims “You’ve been here since the searing!? That’s over two years!”
She might have gotten just “lucky” enough to bear a child before being hASHed out :P
I don’t know about Duke Barradin, but I highly doubt that Adelbern had other kids, as if I recall during the titan missions (when clearing the ones in Ascalon) he talks about Rurik and speaks of him as his only child.

“Dyeing” weapons would really make no sense.
We could do it in GW1 just saying, granted the dyes didnt effect much usually, and really i dont see them changing it this late anyways.
Well i never played GW1 so idk. Just kinda stupid to dye weapons in my opinion. How would having people with red, blue, orange, etc weapons running around?
I played GW1 extensively (GWAMM here) so I can tell you in no uncertain terms that dyeing weapons would be a COLOSSAL bonus.
Some parts of the weapons wouldn’t be dyeable of course, like maybe the flame from a Fiery Dragon Sword etc, but just google ‘coloring chaos axe’ and you’ll see what it means
Also…
Blue-flame Incinerator: your argument is invalid :P

Everyone who played GW: Prophecies knows of how Prince Rurik was betrothed to Lady Althea before the searing and we as players even got the honored task to do Rurik’s job at finding her a suitable present (make that 3 presents, you lazy prince!)
Then the poop really hit the fan with the searing and we regroup with Rurik two years later. Almost immediately Althea goes to the BBQ of her life and Rurik in put on ice, but what about those two unseen years between pre-Ascalon and post-Ascalon? I think it’s possible that after fighting charr day in and day out for months, when Rurik took a small break he could be given some romantic treatment by his lady and you know… 9 months later…
The royal baby could have been taken to a safe place far away even before we arrive to post-searing Ascalon since his parents were both fighters and could hardly take proper care of a baby while slaughering hordes of charr.
We could be having a scenario similar to what happened with Queen Salma 250 years ago
Your thoughts?
Umm… I always thought that Eternity is THE legendary made out of TWO OTHER legendary Gswords…
Am I missing something?
Hi all, I would like to set a few things straight before going any further:
I am a member of FoE (you know who we are) and have no intention of leaving it.
Ever since my guild has retired from Guild Wars 2 due to various reasons I’ve found myself kinda lonely in my guild tab. I still love the game (heck, I’m an old-time GW1 veteran) and the lore.
I am looking for a PvX guild (must be regularly active in WvW however) to have some quality company and maybe make new friends. I am willing to learn stuff which I don’t know, etc.
I will not try to recruit any of your members over to FoE.
In the (unlikely) event that FoE officially returns to wreck shop in GW2, I will graciously thank you for your friendship and hospitality and return to join my FoE guildmates on whichever server they come. No hard feelings.
I hope you find these terms agreeable and you wish to own some faces with me on the battlefield.
PS: I live in Malta, Europe and can speak English easily. Please only english-speaking guilds.
Just because they ‘MIGHT’ announce an expansion on the 24th doesn’t mean it will be ready any time soon. Maybe another 6 months, who knows…
Ok guys, you tried something and it failed (miserably). Let’s move forward and bring the old system back.
/signed
those are no mere wurms, those are Junundu wurms. Anyone from GW1 should recognize those beasts instantly!
So I wonder whether we will ride them like our ancestors did. and by ‘ride’ i mean get swallowed and control the thing (which has a laughable armor rating).
They will need to add animations for “Puke hairball” after transporting a charr and “Choke” after a norn. Maybe a “Spit Salad” for Sylvari too
.
Also there’s another hint regarding the Crystal Desert: the teacher up near the top of the sky ship is teaching the kids about Glint.
8/10 has a nice ring to it.
Mine’s a male guardian (Blond to boot with scars): Random Pug Killer
XD1/10 because I feel like you might randomly kill a puppy, and that makes me sad.
Krutt Fjellsson is the name of my Norn Engi.
It’s Norwegian and is intended to mean ‘Gunpowder, son of Mountain’.
I seriously hope you’re joking lol. That’s not the pug I had in mind with that name.
6/10 for Charrtastic, never been a fan of names like Charrmander, but thats just me.
Umm I actually went for something that rhymes with Fantastic, not pokemon.
So first of all SPOILER WARNING!
From playing through the PS with either the Vigil or OoW we get to know that the Dragons learn stuff from their minions, and that is the way how Zhaitan learned about the Vigil Keep and Chantry of Whispers.
My question is though, how did he learn about the Priory HQ? Sieran dies like the other two but aren’t Sylvari immune to Zhaitan’s corruption? It shouldn’t be able to have zombified Sieran and have her spew her info right?
Someone should report Jormag for not being an equal-opportunities employer.
7/10 without knowing any backstory/meaning.
My sylvari’s a female mesmer and as I run with the Prism theme across most of my characters…
Shattered Prism it is!
8/10 has a nice ring to it.
Mine’s a male guardian (Blond to boot with scars): Random Pug Killer
XD
I don’t think we’ll ever see a race-change, or at least it will be way in the far future.
Still, I’m the type of guy who grows attached to his toons’ appearance, so other than changing the hairstyle I probably won’t touch them.
Rindbeastwood 6/10. Too long as a single name. Had it been something like Rind Beastwood I think it would’ve been much better.
Vamos Domhnall 8/10. Nice name with a dash of spanish
Warrior: Charrtastic. Just couldn’t resist.
Ranger: Scratch That. I had run out of names sorry XD.
My Ranger’s still only level 5 though, so no point in showing off her ‘armor’
Female human characters (2) here as well. Well of course I’d rather look at a female’s rear all day than a male’s.
I think that through some investigations they will figure this out for you.
best of luck buddy.
It’s true, but deleting x amount of characters is a huge cost if you ask me, especially if you got a good amount to level 80 already
It was a trash move for ANet to put the cache at the very end of a difficult PvP JP though. This encourages griefing, which I had thought was something ANet was against.
Camping that JP was one thing when the rewards were PvP rewards. It’s reasonable then for one side to deny the other side blueprints. To put a purely PvE achievement, getting the cache, in a PvP zone means that PvEers can’t get the achievement if PvPers are camping the zone and killing everyone. Especially difficult if this is the first time the PvEers are doing the puzzle and are trying to figure it out. Plus this is temporary content which means that waiting out the griefers is problematic. They are there getting easy honor medals off people who don’t PvP and just want the cache, and have no reason to stop.
As this “amusing” little video shows:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0IBD0eVhjwAt the end of the video one guys says, “didn’t get the cache”. (Laughs)
I entered the JP for the first time today. The start of it was filled with red names.
It would help if you could go in as PvE only, everyone in there is green to you, and if you do it this way you don’t have access to any of the PvP rewards. A separate PvE chest could spawn for you with the sort of loot a JP of this type would have.
This is what’s wrong with this game! Everyone wants their hand held to do anything!
The JP is too hard? Stop trying to do it while drunk off your rear then! I can do it very quickly and so should you after you go through it a couple times.
Oh and honestly, it’s a PvP zone! Now why would you want to attack anyone from a server you’re competing against in a PvP zone? In PvP, red is dead. Period.
Don’t want to sound like I’m attacking you personally but a PvE mode for a JP? I’ll stop writing now or otherwise the kitten filter will have to start working overtime.
Why did you behave like that in the first place? I mean we act like total idiots in guild chat as it’s private and all but we usually keep it clean in say or map chat.
Sorry for your loss but it seems you brought this down on yourself.
While on the SoS server I created a personal guild to stash some extra items in there like excess materials and such but I foolishly forgot it doesn’t transfer with you to new servers.
Is there a way to get the stuff which doesn’t require 3600 gems and 2 weeks to get to? I’m not that concerned about having to re-research the guild stash but I’d like to access my stuff
PS: I hope this is in the right section.
Well my main in GW1 was a human ele, so it fits I should continue the tradition in GW2 as well.
Mine’s a noble of Ascalonian descent, but she’s barbaric and won’t take no for an answer.
My necro is another human female but dark-skinned as she’s of Elonian descent. A not-so-luck street rat she likes smacking people across the face with an axe.
You can’t put an item on the TP for less than the merchant price and neither can you place buy orders.
The ones you may see are back from when you actually could do what you’re saying. I suggest they just remove those orders and refund the money back to the ‘buyers’
I agree that mobs AND players should lose any sense of targeting and aggro when you go stealth. This channeled spell keeping track is silly IMO.
I will say that there is absolutely no way for us to know for sure that ALL dwarves were turned to stone.
Ree: All of the dwarves eventually participated in the ritual. There are no non-stone dwarves in Tyria.
http://www.talktyria.net/2011/08/11/sylvari-lore-interview-with-ree-soesbee-kristen-perry/
There is Tyria, the land where LA is and there is Tyria, the world. They could always bring back dwarves and claim this note meant all the dwarves in Tyria, the land and not Tyria, the world.
Unlikely, maybe. But it gives them an way to do it IF they decided they wanted dwarves back.
My thoughts exactly. Tyria could refer to either the continent or the entire planet. It could be that dwarves are kaput on the continent but a sprawling dwarven metropolis could be somewhere we’ve never been before.
Elves? please no, I’ve had enough elves to last me a loong while. Anet did a nice thing making the ‘elfish’ race into the youngest instead of the old, decrepit ancient one.
And get rewards twice? I think not. What about racial skills you might have?
Also could be a programming hurdle.
Asura say “I feel like six feet tall!” as a result from you gaining Might unless I’m mistaken.
Still it only lasts for 12 seconds tops traited. You’re not going to do much in that time frame as loading screens don’t stop the timer leaving you with only a few seconds.
EDIT: I tried to see whether i could get supplies from EB garrison and I just miss it. Unless someone is traited, has a super-fast loading time (I’m on an SSD and I still failed at it) there’s no time to do it.
(edited by prism.4982)
I don’t plan on getting the sickle; don’t use it that much and I don’t like the animation of it. (besides I still have tons of 250 charge sturdy orichalcum sickles on a mule)
We could do this in GW1, so why not now? Acc-bound the thing if you really want but man I wanna paint my warez.
Same prob here. With gem prices as they are it’d cost a small fortune to transfer the rest as we have people with limited time AND money who are being cut-off due to this.
