Something I realized when I was looking at the armors, was that the datamined light flamekissed armor model thingy we all saw on reddit was actually the zodiac heavy armor… (which is strange in itself) I didnt like it as the weird outlined model, and i don’t really like it now. But I love that anet is trying new things with the armors, I’m just sad how alien all of my Asura look in this armor. (On the bottom I put some source pictures, they belong to google and not me)

Y’all’s characters pull it off nicely though, glad to see it Especially Gizmo, I like what you did with the horns!

Also Lamont, I love how you managed to make it look so perfect. Like, it looks normal that his skin would be blue, to me!

After recent posts from Chris in the CDI I think I understand what Anet’s goal is. Get rid of any hardcore pve’ers. They like pvp though and wvw hardcores.

I will never ever post in another CDI. The recent comments have illustrated that the evolution of the game in Anet’s eyes does not include people who challenge themselves.

I would like to think they might miss the money I spend in the gem store (now that I will not anymore). My weekly 100$ (yep, I do spend that much because I love this game) will go toward something else. I am not happy that they have so blatantly tossed us aside.

This is totally the most absurd response I’ve ever seen. OP, I’m sorry this happened to you. If everything happened exactly as you said it, it is absolutely griefing and they should be punished. You should submit those screens via email to anet, and explain the story. I have doubts much will be done, but Anet really wants this game to seem welcoming to casual players and newbies so I think it’s possible they might issue a warning or maybe a temp suspension, though I wouldn’t count on it.

To others in this thread… no. Unless the group said “story experience only yaddiyaddiyada” OP and others are under no obligation to make a group explicitly saying they want to watch cutscenes. if anyone wants to watch the bloody cutscenes they should not be kicked for doing so unless they join a defined speed run. Especially not at the end of the godkitten dungeon.

We are seeing more noobies now than for a while. How about we not defend the jerks being jerks. JFC.

I’d love to see a group effort. Maybe next time we can make it huge, and inclusive to EU as well as NA.

There is no transmutation charge to change outfits or toggle it on and off. Transmutation charges are for applying new skins to specific armor pieces, same as now.

Yes outfits are all or nothing.

I think his idea of having people have to accept a person into their group is completely valid and would help more than just sellers. It would help people who want to be able to filter the types of players they get, be it by build, class, AP, or whatever they want. (Because, play how you want)

It’s not right for any reason, for someone to destroy another persons instance. Especially not because they feel like they’re being white knight savior of the people.

All you have to do is go to a black lion armor specialist. There’s one near the TP in divinity ’ s reach and just click “exchange”.

You can un equip the sickle and go to a black lion weapon specialist to exchange it for an account bound tool. So yay for that

Just make sure the soulbound tool is in your inventory. The npc will give you the option.

We aren’t actually asking for compensation right now, what we are concerned about is “losing levels without compensation should never happen and developers should know not to do it again”

I just don’t understand this. I don’t understand what makes someone so entitled that just because they are apart of some specific server that means they don’t have to wait as long as everyone else does. That they should just be able to map in, right toward the start of the fight, and kick someone out that they don’t think deserves to play the event that they waited patiently for.

Everyone is saying stuff like “low pop servers should be doing it themselves” and blah blah blah. You do realize that the people guesting on your server are from 10+ other servers, and probably, on that map, equal no more than 20-40 (at most) bodies? Let’s do math and say that 2-4 people can go back to their own server and try to beat boss x on their own. That seems fair, right?

Yes it’s sad I main a guardian, and I’m trying to steer guardians away from staffing. I mean i used it back in the day until I learned better. Has staffing always been this prevalent or did this become a recent thing because of all the event farming?

In dungeons staff is to guardian what bow is to rangers =/

There are others too, such as Shortbow thief, rifle war, GS Mes, but there seems to be a staff guard epidemic as of late.

Anyway, staff on my guard is only used for TA blooms, usually switch to hammer after. I’m not a huge fan of sword/x but when the occasion is there, I suppose it’s better than mace.

I think it might have already been said, but Norn aren’t just bigger Humans. Norn are very much non-green hulks. They are brutally strong and built. If you have seen the Norn starting cinematic, you can even see a Norn lifting a boulder as big as him, or bigger.

Norn also produce a lot of body heat, and that is why you can see Norn sleeping around in the snow, or walking very light clothed in it without getting injured.

Couple things. I’ll be updating this thread with suggestions bugs and the like when I get home from work today so I’d love to see some more stuff. Secondly, I just want to stress that I don’t think suggestions on reward improvements are really appropriate or if they are, they shouldn’t be the main focus of this thread… we all know the rewards are lacking, what we need is to identify the issues with the content.

If you want to argue on this, we can… I just think that bogging down a thread with 20 fractal weapon box suggestions on each page is less than helpful.

Right now I’m trying to figure out which path of TA I have never done. I did the new path for sure. In achivements tab I can see that I’ve done 3/4 paths. Can you give me names of final bosses of the rest paths so maybe I can recognize them?

TA up has the spider, Malrona, and the spider queen Fyonna. TA forward has the room with the archers in the death bubbles and a long run to Leurent (who has a knight, a cultist, and an archer).

Story mode has the things you have to collect for Caithe and the illusion Destiny’s Edge that try to kill you.

Witch, I think the only thing we can do is hope for e next CDI to be on dungeons and fractals, otherwise we can never have a guaranteed discussion.

Believe me, when we have a CC, a developer, or anyone red talk to us we immediately get our attitudes on track. It’s not like the second we have a CDI dedicated to our favorite part of the game that we will use it to have a huge argument. We just want to be heard. We thought we would be heard during Fractured! But it turned out that that wasn’t going to happen.

The issue I see with the CDI is that we are going to be talking there, but then we are also going to have all of these other folks who accuse us daily of exploits and being bad players and even going so far as to say we are bad people, and I know at least I am afraid that the CDI is going to be about how stacking shouldn’t be possible because spider queen blah blah and that dungeon sellers should be banned, and the real issues are going to go to the wayside because the actual dungeon runners won’t be able to out yell the others who just… Don’t even run the dungeons. That’s my fear.

If you’re focused on pve, berserker (Zojjas) is definitely the way to go assuming you’re up for the active melee damage mitigation it requires. You should be fine if you can learn encounters and dodge at the right times.

I enjoy the romances! Besides, there’s Logan and Jenna and… the unspoken Logan/Rytlock bromance. (I also agree about the Quaggans!) There’s nothing wrong with a little romance in the plot. I also took a screenshot of that cutscene to share with my gamer friend and her girlfriend – it might convince her to give GW2 a try!

Also wouldn’t mind a little romance for my character… lookin’ at you Faren and Ihan.

Otherwise there is this conundrum, first asura and charr do not have female armour versions. The physiology is different from other humanoid creatures and Anet decides (maybe?) to try something new.

We seem to have taken the next step, there are female versions now, but they don’t really take the races into account – or do so only half way (tail accessory for male version).

Let’s hope they will go all the way in the future, so you could truly believe that an asuran tailor or charr tailor made them fit their own people.

Btw, if I look up cleavage … for this purpose it is related to breasts. No breasts, no cleavage (which is the part in between) and thus no need for a cut out in the dress.

Well sure. Wintersday outfit has a different model for males and females. This is the second one and I think it has been long awaited.

I don’t see it as a boob window. Because there are many armors which have open chest on the male armor and thus on the female Asura and Charr. It’s no more “revealing” than those. But they did make it, at least on Asura, beautiful.

Feathered chest. Basically has no cloth on the chest for a female Asura. Same with the … gladiator chest. Is that too revealing? Is that sexualizing?

I generally play Asura, but I think the race bias actually has to do with the apparent lack of care for armors and such that aren’t human. I mean, look at the halo/horn debacle. It can’t have been tested on an Asura and still pass QA. If it did, then, well, get new QA. lol

Anyway I think it’s sad so many people choose to main human. At least from my RP standpoint, the other races have super rich back stories in comparison.
