As for stacking… here’s the relevant OP information: I don’t honestly think stacking is a problem. HOWEVER…. maybe the problem is actually the camera. Sometimes stacking against a wall causes camera problems that I hate. Do you think this may be part of the problem?

Especially for the aegis. Like, I have known only 2-3 guardians who give me absolute joy to play with.

So true… I am not there yet.. playing a guardian is a tall order to fill.. People expect so much from a guardian. The aegis at right time is a tough one for me.. I am still learning that one.. also might stacking? And skipping trash mobs.. lolololol.. oh dear, I have stories with that one in Arah.

I am a total girl in that way I have 4 sets of armor on my guard… and the panda hat for town clothing. I would have gotten more town clothing if it was available. I spend more money on dyes, clothing, and hair style change than I do on anything else.

Your Norn demonstrated a lovely use of the Strider armor. The colors also went well together. Your Charr was amazingly cooky looking. I loved the use of the inventor’s glasses. Your Sylvari may have been just a little too green for my personal preference (Ew! Kale!) But I love the eye patch. Human females are easy, but yours did very nicely with a great combination of darkness and elegance. I found your Asura fashion lacking, and while I love the helm and the boots, I feel the combination just doesn’t mesh as well as it ought to.

Hufflepuff

Your Sylvari is delightfully creepy as hell. Great choices. Your Asura has a bad taste in helms, but else the colors and gear look decent. I would say, though, that the shoulders do not match the rest as much as I would think it should. But still cute. I’m in love with this Charr. The Inventor’s glasses are again an amazing choice for Charr and his armor combination remarkable. Your human female…. Eh. I hate the Inquest chest piece, and I feel like the glasses are there to make her look smart. Good color choices, but ultimately unremarkable. The Norn female looks like she may just kill me. I love it, but hate it when I can’t see a Norn’s face. She is very BA but I feel like a lot of her beauty might be lost being covered by the Visage of Koda.

Slytherin

I love your Norn female. I love the combination and everything about her. Your human female…. I didn’t know CoE chest was in vogue, but it SHOULDN’T be. I do like her colors however. Your Asura steals my heart away. I love the Mohawk and the green and the adorableness. Yay Asura! Your Charr’s Mohawk is amazing but I’m confused as to why he needs an air filtration device! That’s okay though. Your Sylvari looks like a blue tree guardian and I find him nice. This team loses points for not including a summary sheet on what armors they are wearing. However, I feel the fashion is amazing.

Gryffindor

Ah… Style time. Of course the Norn female is full of win (Perhaps Norn Female new meta?). Her Dyes and daggers and everything is beautiful. The Asura, I love her. The pink goes well. I think these two characters might make up for the disturbing lack of screens. This human female succeeds in being very princess-y, and I appreciate that, but she is so Barbie, I almost want to cry. She’s very pretty though, and I like the use of the Masquerade leggings even if I disapprove of their existence. The top hat Charr is purrfect, of course, and there’s not much more to say about him. Your Sylvari (which you left out of the armor descriptions) from afar looks decent but there really wasn’t a good enough screen of her.

I now award the final point value, to Scaericharr’s bravery in helping his group, because while it may take an enormous amount of courage to stand up to one’s enemies, it’s even more impressive to stand up to one’s secretly evil plant lady guide. Also for use of the word “asplosions”.

i agree that if its very doable at 50 due to players experience, 3 times out of 3 i had almost to solo her at 20-40 totally ignoring team mates because at lower levels is totally messed up.

And its way easier to solo than if you have 4 party members.

This fractal is great because it shows everything is wrong in PvE at the same like:
- no aggro mechanic
- huge numbers to replace AI
- bad collision detection
- wrong tells to confuse players
- lack of trinity without a real counterplan

but more than anything, developers making changes without any test
and they don t even revert issues fast unless they favor players.

P.S. once again you can avoid the pistol.
But as Always anet made the tell almost invisible (mai lift the pistol and shoots an invisible projectile) and the attack effect (the teleport with lights etc) seems the attack itself.

Dodge few seconds after mai lift pistol and the second part won t even happen.

Its like swamp fractal… they put wooden passages that closes when you pass, and instead you have to jump on trees…. total nonsense.

I agree with your points. My biggest gripes however are with the clumsy design. Like the false tells, map blocking, projectile hitting mid-air, ect. Those things pretty much screw you over in a fight where you have to dodge everything and getting everything perfect, more so. If they want us to have a fight that is like get 100% in their dance-dance-mai trin then they might as well give us perfect conditions to do so.
While things may not make sense, like in the swamp fractal, at least they are do-able, and that’s all I can care of. Mai Trin is just TOO LONG. If they want a tough boss fight, then sure; just make it SHORT. Making it extremely long makes it annoying since you can have a mistake anytime and 90% of the time I get a lag spike on her 5% remaining hp.
The only reason why I could stand the bad design before was because it was fairly easy to bypass with experience. Now it’s just the kittened cousin nobody wants to play with.

About the pistol, I only manage to dodge 1 of the two hits of the pistol, she always hits me with one part, but it reduces damage to half, which is nice but seeing how I only got two dodges for so many aoes I don’t really know if it’s worth it.

I’d take more Empyreal Fragments than Dragonite Ore, to be honest. I used to have the least Dragonite Ore, but it just pours in when you’re doing things like Karka Queen, Temples and EotM karma trains.

I have to digress, sadly. I currently have twice as many Empyreal Fragments as Bloodstone Dust, simply from all of my dungeon activities.

There’s nothing elitist about that. What’s elitist is demanding that everyone who isn’t as good as you or doesn’t know as much as you stay off of the LFG tool.

I’ve never once seen someone say “stay off the lfg tool because you’re bad”. I’ve seen “read my description it says I want x and x and x and you do not fit that criteria, don’t join groups that have requirements you can’t fill”. So in your words, there aren’t elitists in gw2.

Look guys, the ones that say that have loads of them. First, you probably do not convert them into ingots, secondly you need 10 ingots per ascended thing whether a weapon or armor set, that’s 1000 ores right there. And as I said, I had way more than I needed on my account, but since the last few patches there is NO decent way of obtaining those. Dragonites DO NOT drop for killing champs/supply camps/towers in WvW, only from keeps (E.g. hills, bay, garri), how often do you flip those 3 as a red server hm?

Problem with arguing about this with them is that they’re never going to get it because they have enough. It’s like anything else in the game, if it drops for them, it drops for everyone and therefore is not broken.

The most neutral solution is an exchange because even though the majority of people I know have a problem getting dragonite, the open world farmers need empyreal and have stacks and stacks of dragonite. (Also it remains to be seen if you’re only open world farming… do you need ascended gear?) So it’s entirely possible that they have 10 stacks of dragonite but don’t actually know how much goes into ascended gear. /shrug

I believe order armor is level 80, though I could be wrong. If it is level 80 you would need the rare quality crystals. If it is below 80 you can use the fine quality stones.

I am looking for a guild. I’m looking for a fun, dirty, angry guild for my NA account. This one. Right here. I have tried this Avenue for a guild in the past… and all I found were groups upon groups of carebears. I don’t want that or need it. I can get my lovin’ from my honey, I want a little aggression, insanity wolf style.

Why am I here… well. I tried in map chat. I explained my situation. I got a lot of “well it depends on this and it depends on that” blah kitty blah. It was nauseating. If language is a problem I am not going to be the girl for you. If someone is a noob, and I say they’re a noob, I don’t need “that was mean!” Whines. When I’m a noob I expect to be told, laughed at, so I can be apart of a guild like it’s my family. That’s it. A dysfunctional hilarious family.

I roleplay. So I won’t be leaving TC. But that’s no matter because I don’t care about guild perks. I care about running dungeons and either not pugging or only pugging a slot or 2. I’m a coordinator and mentor in the dungeon forum teaching guild, so some of my time is dedicated to that. If that’s a problem please don’t respond. The teaching guild is my way of giving back to the community I love so much. No one will take that from me, not even if you are the perfect fit otherwise.

NOW. The positives. I’m a really decent player. I have 5 80s, and in total now 20 characters. I have a lot of dungeon and fractal experience. I have been known to hold guild raffles and giveaways, guildies will also always be notified when I have a new contest (if unfamiliar go check out the dungeon forum for this week’s contest). I’m very generous. I like helping noobs, I’m fine with ignorance but completely not okay with apathy. I give away a lot of things. I grow to love my guildies, and while I have a hot temper I am also very kind and willing to help. The only time I’ve been kicked from a guild was when I crossed a leader because he kicked a pug from a guild group at the end of a fractal so a guildie could get it. I’m rough around the edges but I’m very ethical. All other guilds I’ve left because they kittened me off. Because of carebears, inefficiency, apathy, idiocy… you get the drill.

I’m looking for a home and a family. If you respond to this posting with a generic guild message that is plastered on all of these other threads I will entirely ignore your guilds existence. I will not be another number in someone’s roster.

I feel quite positive about the changes, albeit with some reservations about the delay in getting to the traits. I’m at 12 80’s now, and nearly 40 on my 3rd Mesmer, because I always want to have someone I’m leveling in order to get that feeling of progress. So far I’ve managed different weapon/trait builds for each one … anyway! Question: You didn’t say pre-existing 80’s get all traits unlocked, you said pre-existing characters. So my new Mesmer, assuming he doesn’t hit 80 by Apr 15, does he get all traits, or just some? How does this work for characters created before Apr 15 but not yet 80 as of the patch?

Any character that was created before the feature pack build will be grandfathered into the system; meaning that they will have traits 1 through 12 of each line unlocked. The new 13 traits will need to be unlocked by everyone. Any character created after the build will be required to unlock all of their traits via content or purchasing trait guides.

Everyone in PvP will have access to traits 1 through 12, even on new characters. New traits will be initially locked in PvP and require an unlock similar to when we added the new healing skills. Once a trait is unlocked it is unlocked for all game modes. Hope that clears it up a bit.

There may be issues with the change they do not foresee, however, so I don’t mean to imply this is a definate fix for the abuse, but I think the fact that Anet is trying to do SOMETHING is better than the current situation.

Yes. Because knights/valkyrie is considered a more survivable alternative that is good for people learning the dungeon mechanics.

Staff is a horrible weapon for any class in PVE unless you are just tagging mobs in open world events. About the only one that it makes a semi decent weapon for is Ele but there are much better weapons like scepter/dagger or scepter/focus. PVPwise I cant speak there but from what I’ve heard there are better choices in PVP for classes that can use staff as well. So I’m not really sure why The Legend is so expensive other than it is one of the nicer looking legendaries, not too gaudy yet noticeable.

Staff ele that camps fire is actually a staple in organized speed runs (not pugs). It is the go to dps build for eles now.

The Legend is expensive because bifrost is beautiful. It’s a weapon that the stereotypical human females wearing full celestial all need to complete their look. I’ve had 2 legends drop, one I sold for 600g and one I made the bifrost with. It’s my favorite legendary, and given how expensive it is, lots of people agree.

Legendary stats are the same as ascended, except on a legendary weapon you can swap stats.

I’m not sure where you saw that an ascended weapon had better stats than a legendary…. But yeah.

Sylvari necromancers make a lot of sense to me. They’re all about growing and living, so their art makes anything live.

Asura elementalists also makes sense. I can see some Magitech and eternal alchemy being involved in their art.

Charr engineers just…. I don’t know how to explain it. They’re a really steampunk race.
