I also don’t understand why the obby shards have to be in that specific temple. Btw I think the reason a lot of people hate doing it is because the whole event chain is really long and one of the last events is easily fallible. And if it fail, oh goodie let’s start all over again.

They are different games in different genres. I like MMOs so I like GW2 better.

I think it’s great that they are continuing to support GW1 for those who prefer it even though very few people are playing it these days.

There’s no mutual respect between people when one never had the potential oppurtunity of another. Living in Germany or even being there on a lucky weekend is an extremely imbalanced criteria for a piece of content. The SAB stuff in the outside world is just holograms anyway. Special solid-state holograms. The Super skins say as much themselves. Its not like they’re actual video game enemies come through rifts to invade Tyria or whatever (which would be a bit silly and out of place), they’re just holograms created by Moto and placed around the world.

I agree that the community wants to get back to the dragons, but I think that is one of the reasons Anet is taking awhile to get back to them. Many players didn’t like how Zhaitan was done, since they thought he lacked any depth or personality. They might be extending the LS a bit, so the writing team has some extra time to flesh out the other Elder Dragons and their minions.

Because as of right now, other than Jormag and the Sons, almost all the other Elder Dragons and their minions are totally blank slates personality-wise. Or, they are totally unknown in the case of Bubbles and Mordremoth.

Down-state is GW2 unique feature. It won’t go away. And it gives a heroic feeling when you succeed and rally up. It is really innovative feature.
If you don’t want to use it, just let yourself get killed, but let others fight for their survival if they prefer.

I played the first game alot and have almost 4,000 hours on the second game, I love them both, but you have to agree with me when I say that if ArenaNet made GW2 birthday gifts the same as they were in GW1.. people would have complained about the randomly generated miniatures.

I doubt ArenaNet would have made birthday gifts purchasable by other players in GW2, so 1 character that turned a year old = 1 try at a miniature. Different rarities of miniatures (fine, masterwork, rare, exotic) = QQ because you didn’t get an exotic mini and those that did made bank from luck.

Now though, you can spend in-game gold in specific miniatures AND buy miniature packs on the gemstore if you really want to partake in the RNG risk. They should have done birthdays by account though, so people wouldn’t be walking around with 14 miniature Queen Jennahs.

I got to admit, I was sticking up for the idea of a scroll in the hopes it would be a simple “gain X levels/XP” as opposed to the fast-to-20 scroll, and I was certainly disappointed when it was the same scroll as the other. That being said, I appreciate that I got anything from them for my character’s birthday, and hope that this year (#2) the entire community will be more positive and outstanding and then maybe, just maybe, ANet will decide to actually love people instead of gifting us a rock.

I mean, really, it just makes me laugh, because in my head all I can picture was someone trying to get a gift for a friend who does nothing but act like a jerk all the time, and know that I would have done the exact same thing. Next year though, no more scrolls. I mean, they can’t possibly think that after having a character for two years that people would need another level 20 scroll right? Then again, if it wasn’t account bound I could give it to people who don’t have all the alts I do…

So while doing the instance of Queens Speech yesterday I decided to take a minute and smell the roses. I really wanted to look around the area as I had a funny feeling something was wrong in the air.

While take a look around and talking to Rox and Braham I came across a little Golem friend known as Hobo-Tron. For those who don’t know, this little guy has traveled all the way from Southsun Cove.

Anyways, you can come across Hobo-Tron and Marcello DiGiacomo for a little interaction between the two. The best part is, during the invasion of the Pavilion, you can head back over to them and watch as they get surrounded by Aetherblade Thugs and then kidnapped!!!!!!

Yes, that is right! Not only is Lord Faren in trouble, but Hobo-Tron and Marcello have been taken as well!

I loved coming across this little scene while playing the instance. Well done ANET.

It would explain all her time references in the riddle, and why she teleports all over the place without the mesmer butterflies.

Asking for this item to be more powerful is asking for GW2 to being 1 step closer to being buy to win! ANet did the right thing here. They could have EASILY made more moeny by making it stronger, but they didn’t and I commend them for it. Nice job ANet, just keep ignoring ill-thought out comments such as ones you’ll find here.

I know Scarlet is a sylvari but in a Tyria where the 5 races are pretty much equal why wouldn’t a sylvari be allowed to become a member of the Court?

Btw that whole bunch is mad … what if the new seal to be broken is overthrowing the rightful ruler of Kryta … I know right? What kind of lunatic would first want to place a rightful ruler on the throne and then overthrow one. Beats me :P
