The Justicar fight mechanics are the worst you have ever come up with, She is hard to damage and to many other troops jump and the targeting off her. There are to many mobs around her to effectively attack her. Every boss fight does not need instant mobs to get in the way. The members sent in with you are no help. Rethink you final fights after this. This one SUCKS.
In case someone else gets stuck on it, here’s how your break her shield:
1) get hit by the bloodstone – this will form a stream between you and the bloodstone, empty your endurence bar and low you down.
2) use the new Mastery skill – this will keep the stream active and remove the endurence denial and slow effect so you can move freely.
3) walk outside of the circle she forms in with her ring-shaped path when she spins around.
4) Get her to walk through the stream – once you hit her with it, it will deplete her shield down quite quickly. It’s a good strategy to follow her path a bit to keep her in the stream.that’s how you remove her shield!
I got stuck on it for a bit so I thought I should post the solution here
Yea i’m stuck on that and gave up after getting bored and endless mobs spawning, no info on what to do, so i’ll see if i want to go through that again. I thought it was supposed to work like the 2 eles b4 that, but if u get close to her at all she pushes u back, another gimmicky combat scenario that turned out to be tedious and spoiled up to that point a pretty good story flow.
No.
I don’t want to worry about dozing off by mistake, watching a quick video on Youtube/Twitch/whatever, or having to deal with something in real life, only to come back and found I got suspended for being away.
No thank you. Horrible idea.
~Park in a safe spot to go use the restroom, come back to find account suspended for being afk.
Wow.
My thoughts exactly…
Downvote into obscurity. There are so many reasons for which this is a bad idea, and I honestly can’t think of one positive reason in support of it. There is already a legitimate way to handle AFK farmers (report and move on).
I’d also like to remind OP that the game bases a user’s inactivity on whether they have moved or used a skill in a set period of time. Therefore, if you are standing still in LA and having an in-depth conversation with others on map chat or guild chat, or both, at a certain point the game will tell you that you will be kicked for inactivity unless you move or use a skill. So by your suggestion, players who are actively engaging with the game would be considered AFK and thus get their accounts suspended simply because they weren’t fighting mobs or running around aimlessly.
Again, downvote into obscurity.
I went afk one time for hours because my 95 year old father had a medical emergency.
Should I have been suspended for that?
I’m having a hard time trying to think of words to describe what a bad idea this is that won’t get me in trouble.
What about someone playing in the wee hours of the morning that falls asleep at the keyboard?
What about the guy that goes afk to grab a bite, gets distracted, and forgets to come back?
What about the person who is reading the forums while logged in, reads your post, gets upset and spends hours composing a reply only to realize he never logged out?
I’m pretty sure if a ranger itself does not contribute to a kill, it doesn’t get loot or kill credit. Almost positive this was debunked a while ago. Any other such action is just botting and thus nothing would change.
No sense in banning people for being AFK. Even AFK players make the game in cities look healthier and boost player morale and revenue.
As far as discerning types of disconnects… never a good idea. All such ways are exploitable. Cheaters will cheat; there are people out there who effectively put their network connection on a light switch toggle to force a hardware disconnect in some games which treat them differently from logging out.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/thief/ES-Suggestion-The-Deadeye-FORMAL/
I belive that is possible for game to differenciate types of disconnect.
So this idea has camed to me after I saw gold farmers who were abusing AFK system by using pets. So I suggest that time of being AFK before disconnection should be shorten or punishment should be taken upon people who were disconnected for example no more than 3 disconnects from being AFK (not disconnect because of weak internet connection issues) and account suspension for next 24h.
You can report the people that are AFK farming if you think they are abusing it. Here is an Anet response on how they will handle that situation.
I’ll pitch in on this thread, as there seems to be some confusion about this situation.
The auto-cast feature was never intended to be used as an AFK farming mechanism, and usage of the auto-cast feature while AFK is fine as long as it is not used to facilitate unattended gameplay.
Mastery auto-loot also stopping players from being flagged afk seems like a bug instead of a feature, and I’ll be sure to bring it up today while we have a chat about this internally.
1) Using skill (1 or more) while AFK
2) AFKing in a place where it is beneficial for your character to be at
3) Unresponsive to interaction with GMsIf all 3 of these apply to what you are doing, you may get actioned for it.
There is no need to start suspending people that are honestly AFKing.

Your skin will wrinkle and your youth will fade, but your soul is endless.
I spend about 80% of my time being semi-afk in Lions Arch, watching tv or even working (don’t judge me!) while I occasionally look back to my computer to do something. I don’t want to be suspended for that.
Suspensions for being afk? ….Really?
~Sincerely, Scissors
I’m not sure what problem you’re trying to solve. Some people afk with a pet won’t impact the economy in any meaningful way. Also, I don’t think this is against the terms of service, so there should be no punishment.
The negative side of this proposal is substantial. People go afk all the time for legitimate reasons. People might be engaged in conversation with a friend on TS and not move for a few minutes, and it would be really annoying if that got them disconnected. If they have to go afk for a few minutes (maybe the pizza delivery guy arrived), they absolutely should not be suspended for any period of time for it.

Agree completely!
Just yesterday I clicked on my GW2 icon. It turns out in my previous session earlier I had not completely logged off and the window got buried. Rather than an ‘oops’ moment should I have been fearing for losing my account?
So it’s unfair because people who played this game 4 and a half years have 3 “exclusive” items and 3 titles more then you, a rather new player?
Maybe anet should strip seasonal AP content and all other content they worked through the years, and also remove all the, now not obtainable AP’s from players who are also AP hunters and busted their behinds to get them just for sole purpuse to satisfy you, a rather new player.

These are no ordinary eggs, citizens! Given the influx of vegetative power … they are eggplants! Go ahead, scream in your choice of delight or terror!
Ember Bay is a scary place. Covered in lava. Hybrid Destroyers. The other day, I picked up an egg. AN EGG! Needless to say, I screamed as I put it in my inventory. My heart is still pounding.
But you could just be yolking….
Sorry
That’s an eggspecially bad joke.
Really? I thought it was eggcelent…
What have I started?

Maybe he just really likes eggs? He could be screaming with… egg-stacy!
Or eggcitement.
ANet may give it to you.

lmao… I have come to kind of ignore it, but my husband on the other hand… we’re in the Lava Lounge, a place I call the Flea Market, as it reminds me of one, lol (sorry, Anet)…
We’ll be standing there, and from his computer, I will hear his character scream while at the TP, suddenly I hear my husband say, "Oh wtf… Why is he screaming? I ain’t doing anything!
and I’ll start laughing.
I’m pretty darn sure it started before Bloodstone Fen was released. Both the screaming and phantom Anomalies appeared with the advent of one of the sets of ‘Current Events’.
(The Wiki lists sightings of the phantom Anomalies as far back as August 12th. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Talk:Legendary_Ley-Line_Anomaly)
It’s not a bug, but intended behavior.
I’d buy a lightning themed staff skin from the gem shop, especially if it worked as a light source.
Side note: repair Flames of Kryta please. -.-
Pet project: Outfit overhaul.
I would desperately love to get a staff that acts as a LIGHT SOURCE (for the Sharkmaw JP, and the couple of other totally-dark areas about the game). There are exceedingly few light sources available to Elementalists. My “Flames of Kryta” have been broken for a long time, and I couldn’t fight while carrying that anyway.
“Lightning Rod” could definitely produce a glow. So could a staff consisting entirely of flames (“Hot Rod”?)
Set a man on fire, and he’ll be warm the rest of his life.
– Unknown Fire Elementalist
There are a couple of staff skins that have lightning effects on them. The Aetherized Staff is basically an electrode that has sparks coming out of it. And both the Mystic Staff and the Peacekeeper’s Staff have some electrical particle affects on them as well.
But I assume you’re talking about a staff shaped like an actual lightning bolt and / or made out of lightning (like Bolt or the Storm Bow). Which I agree would be pretty cool, particularly because it’d be a staff that’s not just a stick with something on the tip. Which are always the best staff designs, IMO. There’s so much more space to work with when they use the whole staff for the overall design instead of just the head, like with the Dragon’s Jade Staff or The Crossing.
