Mmo players with a screw loose vs mmo players with two screws loose. All very important stuff.

Well done, Anet!
I was actually having a reasonably good time doing the crown pavilion even with the crappy loot. It’s nice they listened and buffed them!
Nice! Thanks for listening Anet.
ok in my honest opinion, GW2 is nr1 right now. WoW just has a lot of content but you know that game is getting wayyy stale. NOW as for MMORPGs, i played manyyyyy and so far i have to stay that GW2 is the onlyyyy one worth playing regularly. its a lot of fun and you should get into all of its details and fun events and all PVP aspects. the pvp mechanics r great and you actually need skill to be good (not button smashing). plus theres a bunch of customization options and they continue to come, so if you want to be some kind of collector of things, then knock urself out. its a great game and i suggest u play it as much as you can. o and it has challenging bosses and dungeons, enjoy and have fun
.
Aren’t you that guy that keeps posting quitting threads?
Aren’t you that guy that keeps posting quitting threads?
LOL!
According to the Devs on the latest Twitch livestream, it will be around for awhile. But, no, it won’t be permanent. As a festival, it should return yearly, though. =)
I think it has to do with Lion’s Arch rebuilding
No, in that sentence ‘kill’ cannot easily be replaced with ‘play’.
What he’s saying is their QA department did play the event and they could see how well balanced it was from how much damage the did, how far along they got before the timer ran out etc. they just didn’t succeed in killing it. Which isn’t surprising. I doubt they employ 150 testers, so they wouldn’t be able to get a full map, which is what’s required to kill Tequatl.
Not playing it at all would be completely different.
With all the frustration (my own included) about Liadri, and the difficulty some instances have with the Boss Blitz, I felt it would be a good idea to point out one high point of this content that I have seen very little about, but have come to enjoy immensely.
The Aspect Arena is a blast. It’s where I go to blow off steam between Liadri attempts, and win, lose, or lose harder, I have fun each game. I have seen very little about this on the forums since the event started, and I figure some may not even know about it, given that it is far removed from the Gauntlet and the Pavilion. I would love to see this event stay even after the Festival is over! (a guy can dream right?)
It should overwrite, but just double check that you are overwriting an agony slot with an agony infusion, an offensive slot with an offensive/versatile, ect
Eternity.
It looks INCREDIBLE now! Well done, ANEt!!! I was in love with it before but I am even more in love with it now. I have been showing it off to guildies & friends and I think I might’ve convinced a few people to craft it.
Who else agrees? Who disagrees? I’m interested to hear the thoughts on this.
Sorry if this is in the wrong area!
You don’t have to. You get to.
The Master Sky Crystals are amazing. I really like that addition. And I still think this is the smartest zone in GW2, exemplifying it’s potential for non-combat content with it’s various ways to move and collections and events.
I’m really happy they reset this achievement, it was one of my favourites last year and I’m looking forward to doing it again.
Maybe this year I’ll figure out some of the crystals in really odd places, if they haven’t moved.
You don’t. I am because it’s friggen fun as kitten.
I thought “play the way you want” just meant that there were multiple ways to get what you want. Want to level in WvW? Go for it! Want to grind out mats for your Legendary? You sure can! Prefer to just buy them off the TP? That’s valid too!
The idea was to give us options and freedom and multiple paths.
It was not to say that every option is allowed. Or encouraged. Or profitable. Or balanced.
This expresses the concept much better than I did above.
You must be kidding…
After they introduced the grindiest grinds ever in a western AAA MMO (noone likes to grind they said), vertical progression (even casuals should have BiS they said), most of the events are watered down to press 1, 1 and 1 again (boring they said), you still think they would give a kitten about what they said in the past?
That is a lot of faith you got there.
If you think this game is the grindiest in western AAA MMO’s, you have probably not played many western AAA MMO’s.
Edit: Just saw your second post.
I see your previous experience and raise you two years in EVE Online.
Two years down and nowhere near the skills I needed to play how I wanted.

Upscaling now does add significant complexity to China players, as their leveling curve and the points at which they unlock features and systems is completely different from the experience in NA/EU. The Labyrinthine Cliffs was absolutely designed with both territories in mind, and with those considerations, everything from the decorations to the content was geared towards providing a fun festival for everyone to enjoy.
I think ArenaNet’s intention of the champ loot bags was not for people to all day accumulate them in the first place but for players to get the odd one or two, or five each day as they explored.
Then people farmed them – making the value of what was inside them drop (on the TP) – so they lowered the loots a little.
Then people farmed some more. People started getting agitated with each other over who does what and who is allowed to kill a champ, and who is too slow because they couldn’t keep up with the train whilst at the same time, one person should wait for the train.
So, sorry, it’s not surprise the champ train got nerfed.
As for people saying it’s all about the gem store – remember that there is no monthly fee to this game, and that gems can also be bought via in-game gold, without obligation.
There are also many, many other champs out there in the PvE areas, as well as loot obtainable from PvP tracks now, and there’s still WvW & EotM zerging if you miss button 1 bashing.
For the people that screamed and shouted and swore at players for killing a champ – I say they have nobody to blame but themselves.
(p.s. this topic should and probably will get merged)
…for adjusting the unlock requirements for Adept traits to be less insane…

Anet, recently I saw one of your employees playing the game, amidst the 1000 inevitable questions from players, I mentioned something about a certain sword that I possessed. Eternity. This sword had problems since the beginning, and felt it was slightly underwhelming. I mentioned this in a rather casual manner, and he whispered me with genuine concern and interest. I told him the glitches, and he said “I’ll see what i can do, no promises, but i’ll try.” And now, it’s better than ever, I do not know if it was due to my efforts or not. But I love the fact that I was listened to and perhaps made a difference. Thank you anet devs and employees for playing with us, answering our questions and making this game better. And regards to Dral Zeth for listening.
Thank you so much for finally not only fixing the draw/throw issues with Eternity, but going the extra mile to add the additional unique effects. It looks awesome.
Thanks guys!
Rejoice! From the most recent patch notes:
The legendary greatsword Eternity:
Added a new projectile replacement effect.
Added new weapon-drawing effects.
Enhanced the footfall effects.
Enhanced the drawn-state effects to further distinguish it from the legendary greatswords Sunrise and Twilight.
Thank you Anet, the maps was filled with too much immaturity, a lot of cursing and obscenities..this move was for the best..
Op should try playing some LoL on the EUW server.
are we getting the same old contents as last year or new ones?
mixture of old and new
