not sure if this is the right forum for this but in reference to being able to buy arena time tokens with gold….
I love you.
That is all.
jesus dont I have like gazilion stacks of this crap
Because bobbles have everything to do with might and magic, and guilds and wars.

Well in that case you can be happy that Anet expected some people to not like it and made it so that only the people using it can see it. So it doesn’t affect your gameplay at all. Isn’t that great? =D
It is beyond great, it’s awesome! They finally managed to deliver on something many poeple wanted WITHOUT imposing it on those who did not (myself included).
Awesome job, ANet! Keep up the good work!
I’m pretty ashamed of the GW2 community here on the forums, all I can see is demands.
Thank you for appealing for your “friend” that was responsible for Payment Fraud. Please do not attempt to appeal on these forums, we take Payment Fraud very seriously.
Closing this thread, your account, and your 384 other accounts.
It’s a series of threads where one or more of the Developers places a topic up for discussion and usually interacts, more or less, with the forum posters gathering feedback and tossing around ideas pertaining to said topic. The Devs then take whatever has been, again more or less, agreed upon in the thread(s) back to the Development table and the Devs decide what, and how much, to integrate said decisions into the next implementation of content or features.
Guys, the last update was on Friday. Today is Monday. Contrary to popular belief, our developers have lives and families that they would like to live and see respectively.
Believe me when I say that we will provide an update as soon as we have an update to provide. Until that time, your continued patience is appreciated.
XD This is the best comeback mark. I loled. So many folks are wetting their pants cause they don’t have the skin yet… It kinda blows my mind that they can’t wait.

Ok honestly, every company running MMO game becomes greedy, sooner or later.
Tbh I think GW2 is still better than most.
With Mike O’Brien in charge and people like Colin Johanson at ANet still running things I think ANet still has a long way to go before it falls of the tree. Having said that if there was a major hierarchical restructure I’d be following closely to see the direction they went.
ANet has changed a lot since its GW1 days.
Today at the end of the baby dolyak race there was an extra special treat for everyone.
Someone in chat said it was the provider’s birthday.
Thank you to the unknown caterer and if it is his/her birthday, then many happy returns for you or your character.
Got to love this community.
You have a choice between destroying doors, those don’t don’t really fight back, or go roaming. Roaming is fun, until you encounter the enemy bus at which point your are dead and you have to walk for hours again just to get to play the game.
So.. you tried to ninja a tower or something and tried to roam but got ran over by a larger group cus of a lack of situational awareness. Sounds like you are clueless and not very good or aren’t using a decent roaming build. Plus you didn’t mention trying any of the other parts of wvw like following a commander, joining a wvw guild, open field fights, assaulting or defending a keep or gvgs.
Your post is like complaining that GW2’s pve sucks cus the only thing to do is feeding cows and kicking wurm holes in Queensdale. You haven’t done anything yet, yet are qqing on the forums.
On Wednesday 11/6 starting 8PM CEST (Central European Summer Time)
we invite all guilds from every server to come EotM to face against the other guilds in a all-out free fight
There will be no rules.
No matter the size of the guild.
If they double team, blob, bunkering in tower everything is allowed.
If you dont like the overflow you are in, then you can just look for other overflow.
We are just tired of the same match ups and facing the same enemys,
we want to fight more and other guilds.
Me and my guild [OFS] will be coming, a 15-20man group
And we hope many more will come aswell.
If your guild is coming please leave a reply here and try to spread the word to all the guilds in your server.

Why do a small minority of people keep defending repeated failure?

While I agree anet screwed up, didn’t test correctly and this is the latest in a long string of could-have-been-avoided-would-have-been-avoided-if-it-was-the-gemstore issues statements like this are silly. Not everyone who disagrees with your opinions is a white knight or a troll. Grow up out of your black and white world where everyone is wrong but you and learn to accept different points of view. Otherwise your not hear to debate or argue, just to force your views on others and get attention. This goes for people on Both sides of this fence.
They are rewards for the tournament so pretty much no chance of that. Its almost a certainty they will be back next tournament though so you might want to pop in and work on getting them then.
Hmm…I always hear the ‘Level-Up’ sound effect. It is quite noticeable. Maybe adjust your sound options?
Yep, when there’s something I want on the gemstore. It’s much cheaper than my WoW subscription was. I’ve also used gold-to-gems.
The forum community is mostly made of a bunch of people who can only complain and whine , in every game ever.
The in game community of GW2 is actually one of the best around.
Thanks for all your hard work at ANET, keep it up and at the end of the day go home to your families or go get a beer, we can wait

TL;DR golems should be the next available playable race if one is made and their customization should allow the shape to mimic other races and the glow to have a selection of colors to choose from.
Thanks for your report. We are currently investigating this.
Can’t wait! Looks like some great changes.
Greetings,
Your request has been granted.
Who else is super excited about the LW format updates?
- Bridging the disconnect between the PS and the LW has been one of the most badly needed polish-pieces since the LW began last year. Goodbye immersion breaking cognitive dissonance!
- It’s a smart business model. It’s totally optional, but even if you miss it and want it it’s a meager $2.50, which is low enough that you’re not paying it grudgingly but substantial enough to provide Anet with more revenue for more new content. Plus, it incentivizes players to log on while content is current to get it for free.
- More story telling UI in the game for a more immersive gaming experience in general.
- The level 80 requirement is awesome. Anet can now focus on designing content around end-game appropriate levels of challenge. Plus, it helps conceptually line up the PS and the LW in a way that makes sense (i.e. the chronology is clear).
- Goodbye soul-destroying achievement grinds, hello fun goodies.
- PERMANENCE! Too much temporary content makes it too easy for people to lose interest in the game when they inevitably get behind in the story and miss things. It also makes it feel like the world isn’t properly growing, which is something every MMO needs.
Yeah, I’m happier than I’ve been regarding the direction of this game in quite some time.
We absolutely want to make build templates. They could work similar to GW1, but there are more components to a build now. Using the old string-code method may prove to be unwieldy.

Things to consider:
How would you like to see any/all of these work?
(edited by Evan Lesh.3295)
Pretty much everything I want to say has been said already but I’ll highlight some fine points:
- You can log in, just once, for fifteen seconds every two weeks to get your next chapter.
- It’s $2.50 USD to purchase content you may have missed for whatever reason.
- That’s 65$ USD (max) if you miss an entire year’s worth of content.
- It’s a nice balance between players who want previous content in the game, verse those who’ve already played it.
- If you’re interested in minis, armor pieces (like back skins), or special ore nodes? Those are usually on the gemstore for 200-800 gems. Which means, you have the option of getting these things for free (by playing the content) or you spend the same amount (if not less) to get them.
I’m personally all for this adjustment. Not only does it give players a chance to complete content they may have missed, but it also appears that they’re trying to make things less zergtastic.
Ugh, I had a nice well thought out response and the darn thing errored. kitten it. Oh well.
I look at it this way: It’s not any different than buying an expansion in chunks, rather than all at once. Of course, if I’m playing regularly anyway, the point is moot because I get it for free.
I felt the need to post this topic as a neutral ground for clear-headed discussion. There are other threads where tempers and knee-jerk reactions are quickly getting out of control. This is not a post for or against the payment of 200 gems for past episodes This is a post calling for level-headed discussion.
So the Living Story will now come to us in permanently unlockable, permanently replayable episodes. You unlock them for free if you log in during that particular release. Otherwise you have to pay 200 gems to unlock past episodes you missed.
200 gems equates to $2.50 USD. A year’s worth of episodes on a bi-weekly schedule would cost at most $65 USD. This is assuming a Living World episode is released every 2 weeks without break for 52 weeks (26 releases). We know that Anet takes breaks and festival activities don’t count towards this because they are temporary, yet take up the same slots as Living World releases. Realistically a year’s worth of episodes will be significantly less than $65 USD.
On top of this, the stories delivered through each episode will no doubt find their way on to the internet. If someone wanted the backstory, they could find it for free. The only thing you would 100% have to pay your 200 gems for would be access to the rewards. Rewards thus far have been mini-pets, backpiece skins, and special ore nodes. Hardly required content. Hardly pay-to-win. If you want them, you can either get access to them for free by being there on time, or forking over two-and-a-half bucks to support the game.
